  1. Maximum of 16 clan members enter for each clan. Each clan gets to pick one map they will play their games on if they are the "Home Team". This map must follow these guidelines; takes up much of forge world is a custom made btb map, (or u can choose an already existant map) no spartan lasers(in a class or map) no scorpians no classes with snipers one sniper on the ground for each team with only 4 bullets in it no gauss wart hogs one or no warthogs for each team one life 5 different classes to choose from 10 rounds triple elimination, lose 3 games and your out *FREE TO ENTER, just for FUN no cheating, cheating results in automatic elimination once we get down to the final 4 teams we will seed it based on how well they did in the triple elimination round. the final round will best 2 out of 3 clan battles, 10 rounds each, single elimination. winner ges a congradulatory post on this website, and fame in the halo world. any clan may enter but fist u must meet with me (gamertag: A hil13) to make sure u understand all rules above. i may post new info about this on this page, about any new rules or how many spots are left. this will take place over the courseof the next few months. see u soon!

  3. I wish there was a playlist in firefight where you could fight both covanent and flood. A three-way battle between us, the covanent, and the flood would be epic. Having some of the covanent get turned into flood while fighting. Who here agrees with me? What are your opinions on what I think?

  6. What halo games do you and did you expect more from and expect from? I have created this topic to ask you what you think of what bungie and 343 industries have done in the past games and what you think they will do in the future halo games. Do you think that they will do better then there past or that 343 industries shouldn't have taken over. This is what I thought of there past 5 games: Halo 3- Bungie has done an amazing job on halo 3 and even today in 2012 people that have the newer games like reach and anaversary are still playing. Halo odst- halo odst had a good campaign story a little glitchy though. They had an awesome idea when they brought in firefight and I didn't expect much more from a half priced game other than online firefight. Halo reach- halo reach was a very good game I think it's future will be very similar to halo 3. Halo reach is holding the record out of the halo games for biggest forging map. The campaign was good I missed master chief though. Halo anaversary- was a ok game I was expecting alot more. I was disappointed because really the only good thing they added was the option to switch graphics. Halo 4- halo 4 has a lot of expectation manly because it's a new company but so far I'm liking the thing they have done. Personally I'm pumped that chief is back new weppons vehicles and more.   9. Have you ever played a prank on someone on Halo? Or have you had a prank be played on you? If you have, share what happened below! I'll start: Funniest thing EVER. XD When I was 10 years old I started a custom game lobby on Halo 2 on the map Warlock- (Snowy version of Blackout) ok before I actually tell the story I'm gonna tell everyone in case they didn't play Halo 2 that in the center top of the map there was a glass tile that you could see through the ceiling into the floor below. I started up a lobby and within minutes I was able to have a completely full game of people. (All which were older than me XD) Despite me being either 9 or 10, -I cant remember- I convinced everyone that if everyone stood in a circle around the glass tile that it would break if we all shot it at the same time. ...but only with Rocket Launchers. XD I got EVERYONE. EVERYONE. -to stand in a circle all on top of the tile hoping to see the glass shatter beneath their feet. I stood on top of them all, counted to 3, and right before I said 2 I jumped off of them, in mid-air stuck the middle guy with a sticky grenade, and when I said 3 I got a Killionaire! The rest of the game was filled with the gametype change from 'Slayer' to 'Lets kill RANMAN'. XDDDD

  11. I think its time seeing as Halo Reach is in the capable hands of new rulers, that a update to Forge in necessary, to keep things fresh in the map making community. Even if the update is a selection of lets say 200 new objects for Forge World, or perhaps a new Forge World entirely. In my opinion and I'm sure its in other peoples minds as well, The current Forge World is getting to be boring. I love forge don't get me wrong and I have made what I believe are to be some pretty decent maps, I consider myself a good forger and it would be nice if we could get some new items to work with as there's only so many things you can do with the objects you have. I think the best option would be to create an entirely new Forge World map with all new objects, but if not I'm going to brainstorm a few ideas that I think would work with the current Forge World - - More variants of building blocks. - The ability to place foliage such as Trees. - Different Classes of Forge Items. We already have Forerunner, why not add 2 new sections of Covenant and Human variants of Building Blocks, walls, buildings etc. - Civilian/Covenant Vehicles (Forklift and Shadows) - More Natural Elements I'm sure theirs a lot more that could be added that could make Forge World new again. In a perfect world it would be nice to have several Forge Worlds for different Terrain, Such as a snow Forge World so e can recreate Halo 3 maps such as Avalanche and Snowbound, or a Flood Forge World to recreate Isolation, and a new Desert Forge World for maps like Last Resort or Sandtrap. A perhaps a Human Forge World to recreate Rats Nest, The Pit, Longshore and Foundry. Or a whole new Covenant Forge World, a good bases for that would be the Unyielding Hierophant from the books. I know I'm asking for alot but I think it would really freshen up the Forge Community. Even just one of these ideas would be nice, but is it too much to ask to give to a community who has given so much to the game. Also a remake of High Ground wouldn't be a bad move

This is an Enemies Guide to Halo Reach, Mostly used for general gameplay and the "Monument to All your sins" Achievement (Complete Legendary, Solo Campaign) The aim of this guide is to go through the enemy classes and the best weapons to use against them. Note that some classes use different tactics and weapons, and its more so better to use other weapons for effective performance. Be advised all weapons of choice are mostly ones you can commonly find on the field some weapons like the Sniper Rifle, Spartan Laser, Plasma Caster etc. don’t appear very often. Plus the following weapon usage makes use for quick and less costly work Skull have some mention, but are not really talked about fully in this, another guide would be added about them if I get time UPDATED: 10 Decemeber 2011: Given a revised version and added more detail to the guide RACES - Grunts - Jackals/Skirmishers - Elites - Brutes - Engineers - Hunters - Drones Grunts: - Weapon of Choice: DMR/Magnum/Needle Rifle. Threat Warnings: In groups with a Commander and leaderless suicide grunts General Disposal: Always aim for the head and take them out with one shot. Though 2 for the Ultra Grunts (1st headshot knocks its helmet off, 2nd kills them) Extra Information: Extra caution must be exercised when killing the squad leader (Elite or Brute) for some Grunts will go suicidal and run towards you with Active Plasma grenades that exploded on contact, when one is seen and heard, maintain distance and aim for the head, killing the suicide grunt would possibly take out any others hostiles within the explosion radius when the grenades go off Jackals and Skirmishers: - Weapon of Choice: DMR/Magnum/Needle Rifle. Threat Warnings: Snipers and Shields that form a wall General Disposal: Same as the Grunts, aim for the head Extra Information: Apart from the Snipers, most Jackal Classes have energy shields that absorb damage until it gives, They have part of their weapon wielding hand exposed to attack, aiming for it will cause them to be exposed as they shield is moved out of the way, aim for the head before he recovers. Skirmisher work like the Jackal Snipers, but they have much more speed and agility, plus can take more shoots, quick and effective aiming is needed Elites: - Weapon of Choice: Plasma Pistol, or any Plasma weapon and DMR/Magnum/Needle Rifle. Threat Warnings: Higher Classes have more powerful shields and sometimes Energy swords and the Special Operations class will make appearance on a few stages General Disposal: Usage of Plasma weapons (Pistol, Rifle, Repeater) to quickly chew through their shielding, after reducing their shields to zero, aim for the head Extra Information: Every Elite has a personal shield system that must be reduced, but some in higher class needed ongoing attack to reduced them. The Charge shot from Plasma Pistol will EMP them, but it doesn’t always work for the higher classes like the generals, Zealots and the Field Marshall, they require two charge shots and most have heavy weapons and swords, and Special Operations Class will pick off anyone that don’t keep a sharp eye. For all Elites, after depleting the shields, they tend to roar, leaving them open to attack, use it. If one goes after you with the energy sword, ALWAYS maintain distance and keep draining the shields, then shot the head. Always use your motion tracker, and/or look around for a shimmer to location and pick off Spec Op Elites, though hard to see, their shields are fairly poor Brutes: - Weapon of Choice: Needler or Needle Rifle(*), Plasma Pistol/Weapons for Chieftains first. Plasma Grenade for Armour Lockers Threat Warnings: Thick skinned, Armoured and quite powerful in combat and in packs General Disposal: Employ the use of the Needler weaponry to take down the Brutes. 8 from the Needler/ 3 Needle Rifle creates a supercombine explosion will kill them, Plasma Weaponry for the Chieftain to take out their shields before using the Needlers Extra Information: Because of the Brutes thick skin and heavy armour (specially the head) Most weaponry and headshots in not really advised because they can take a lot of blows and 3-5 headshots to kill them, the helmet and headdress must be knock off first. Brutes armed with Gravity Hammers strafe left to right while charging which doesn’t make it any easier, plus some will activate Armour Lock when the heat gets too bad. The needler weapons are the best choice on this race because the supercombine will kill them (regards of rank and some activate skulls), for the shielded Chieftains, the shield depletion tactic for them works like the Elites, Plasma their shields before killing them. Armour lock may save them from some fire, but it leaves them stationary, especially when they break it, the second they break out of Armour Lock throw a grenade (Plasma preferred) at them to make short work Engineers: - Weapon of Choice: Any weapon Threat Warnings: No hostile fire, quite rare to see General Disposal: Just shoot at them Extra Information: Firearm wise, engineers are harmless and are very slow in movement speed, but they do pose as a threat because they continuously provide the enemy within their vicinity with temporarily overshields, Quickly disposing them first will stop the overshielding being replenished Hunters: - Weapon of Choice: Any Explosives/Heavy Weapons and/or Shotgun Threat Warnings: Very high Threat in pairs and Close range General Disposal: The large weak point is usually the back. Full usage of Explosions, heavy weapons and close range shotgun. Extra Information: Hunters always work in pairs and they are lethal as all in Legendary, long range shots and melee is very devastating, but their strength hinders movement speed, the best plan of attack is to focus killing one before the other. Throw as many grenades at them for some damage and also usage of heavy weapons is extra help as one may fall, always aim for their backs, If all options are sent, there are weapons caches with shotguns their Hunter areas, grab one and go for CQC, **BUT** When using this method, do not, I repeat, DO NOT STAND STILL! One chop or smack from the hunter KILLS! Keep moving and strafing to dodge the melee strikes, and pump some shotgun rounds into its back until it drops, if it gives you too much trouble or need to pull back, Do so, but watch your surroundings Drones: - Weapon of Choice: DMR/Needle Rifle and big pair of balls.. Threat Warnings: Always in large groups and very quick General Disposal: Careful aiming of the head Extra Information: This race are the worst of all races in Legendary because of their speed and the fact that you’ll be up against a number of 10, 20 or 30!!!!! Removing them requires concentration and time, rushing is suicidal, but thankful they only appear in three stages (Final stage is the big concern) Carefully aim and fire their heads, and they do have a headshot indicator as they explode after getting shot in the head. Using cover and distance is very important to keep them at a small number so you don’t get swarmed VEHICLES - Ghost and/or Revenant - Shades - Wraith Ghost and/or Revenant: - Weapon of Choice: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Launcher, Fuel Rod Cannon or any friendly manned vehicle (DMR for Grunt controlled) Threat Warnings: Their firepower and Speed General Disposal: Kill the driver with a headshot (Grunt only), Mostly use the heavy weapons or the vehicle gun/cannon Extra Information: Don't bother Hijack them, unless you got good skill and big pair, because failing the hijacking is just completely suicidal from either hostile fire or splatter. If you have a vehicle (with good odds that you do) Just drive, don’t stop for anything and let the gunner (Player *co-op* or AI *solo*) do all the shooting, DO NOT LET THE AI DRIVE, that’s an open death wish. With heavy weapons, use the high ground to avoid be splattered and offload the rockets, plasma and FRG when it gets close Shades: - Weapon of Choice: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Launcher or Fuel Rod Cannon (DMR if no explosive weapons) (Sniper Rifle comes in handy on Nightfall) Threat Warnings: Can’t move but has high rate of fire General Disposal: Kill the driver with a headshot (depends on operator), Destroy the battery with heavy weapons Extra Information: USE EXTREME CAUTION, though stationary targets their rate of fire is extreme high making them extremely lethal head on. Most Shade encountered on the field are Grunt manned some picking them off with headshots will temporarily shut it down, if it gets manned again by grunt, headshot, BUT if its an Elite… you may have to use full clip of DMR to kill him, If possible, all use an explosion weapon to take it down, Gunner and Shade together, or grenade an unmanned one so it doesn’t get used behind your back. Don’t bother manning yourself, you’ll be a sitting duck Wraith: - Weapon of Choice: DMR/Needle Rifle and one of the following: Grenade, Melee or Hijack Threat Warnings: Powerful in speed and power head on, but slow on maneuvering General Disposal: Kill the driver with a headshot (depends on operator) and use of one of three methods: Grenade planting, Melee bashing or Hijack method Extra Information: Not most of a problem than the small vehicle counterparts because of its slow turning speed, but still a threat. Besides the plasma mortar and its charging forward speed, the Plasma Turret’s rate of fire while manned is what makes the Wraith an equal to dangerous threat. Best method of attack is to kill the turret operator first, with headshot, at a distance (T. After the operator is killed, carefully proceed towards the Wraith, though something it won’t mortar fire you while close, but it will try to run you over, when he does, get out of the way or if you Armour Lock eqiuped, use it to stop the Wraith in its tracks and breaking out will EMP it, use either opportunity to board the Wraith and use the following methods - Plant a grenade at either end (depends on what end you board), the explosion will destroy it - Board the ass end of the Wraith and use melee to rip it about, this must be done quickly due to some foot soldiers may give you a little surprise - Hijack the machine, board the front and melee kill the driver (Don’t over melee and destroy it if you need it), after removing the corpse, take control. (This method is highly recommended for the final part of Exodus to clear the area of Brutes Chieftians and Ghosts, but use caution, the hijacked machine is more prone to destruction because of the melee damage) OTHER INFORMATION - ENVIRONMENT When in doubt with some situations, you can always use the environment around you to your advantage, - Useless vehicles like forklifts, half destroyed warthogs, etcs. - Fusion coils, Plasma Batteries, Fuel Tanks. - Grenades on the grounds When shoot at enough to make them explode, they can take a good number of enemies with them, See an opportunity, don’t hesitate to use them. OTHER INFORMATION - EQUIPMENT Also the use of some Equipment is really important - The Bubble Shield is a lifesaver when injuried and no health packs anywhere - The Hologram is important as it can take the attention away from you so can either finish the covies or move to a different spot with minimum risk. - Armour Lock has little use but can save you from sticks and Wraith mortars and charging - Mobility ones (Sprint, Jet Pack) have a minor role, but it does help with getting to vantage points faster - Active Camo seems to have some hinder to most because of the Motion Tracker Jamming and outside noise deafening, but would sure good use in Nightfall ((Will update when more information has been collected)) Use this guide well and have much patience in your quest to get the "Monument to All your sins" Achievement, it'll save you alot of heartache

  18. This is just something I've been thinking about lately and it's still more of a conceptual sketch that I'm working out as I go along. Basically what I'm going for is the Halo 3 true skill system, with the addition of commendations, and horizontal rankings based on grades. So for a rough sketch it would be something like. Your rank is based on your highest skill predominantly, but you can also level up by experience and commendations. Your grade is based on your highest competence or consistency. Your highest competence is how often you perform at the base skill level or higher of your current rank. So say for every 3 games in a row played within a playlist at or above the base skill level for your rank you will earn a grade for that rank. Now leveling down in grades should be something like for every game you play below the skill level within a streak of 3 games then the amount of games you need to play at or above skill level increases by how many sub par games you played. So if you play 2 out of the 3 games below skill level then that means you you now have to play the 3rd game and 2 more games at or above skill level in order to level up 1 grade. If you play 3 games in a row below skill level then you level down by 1 grade. Your grade won't take into account the skill of who you play because your grade is your level of competence. Which means your ability to perform at your skill rank in a range of circumstances whether that mean adapting by using a machine gun turrent to level the pros or going all out with vehicles. By default the game should do its best to place you with players no more than 3 ranks apart and no more than 4 grades of difference. There are a total of 15 grades. For every time you level up in vertical rank your grade decreases by 3, but you can never get negative grades either by leveling up or playing bad games. If you're a level 10 Sergeant then you will be a level 7 warrant officer (whatever the next rank is). So grades between ranks would also relate to each other by levels of 3. Now how you rank up in your actual rank would be the same as you do in Halo 3 true skill but with a Reach twist in the experience system. I believe the trueskill system in Halo 3 was that for every game you win you gain one experience and for every game you lose you lose one? I think the ratios there were different. And there is also your sigma which is as high as possible and your actual skill level which is where you're actually being ranked at right? So your sigma is constantly decreasing by every game you play and once your rank and sigma meet this is your True Skill? Please correct me if I'm wrong. So what I'm thinking is that we keep the win lose experience, but now add in commendations in this way. These commendations would track experience, skill progression, and which rank you stood out most at. Skill / experience commendations work like the commendation counters in Halo Reach. They count how many kills of certain types, and feats you pull off in matchmaking, but with a new addition. The ratings they show: onyx, gold, silver, and iron would work on a different principle. They would rank themselves based on which group of ranks those feats and kills were done in with the highest percentage. Like this: Commendation: Heavy Weapons (Iron)Recruit to Sergeant:5% (Silver)Sergeant to Major:30% (Gold)Major to Colonel:40% (Onyx)Colonel to General:25% So in this case this person would have gold in Heavy Weapons. Maybe this could also demote second accounts or at least old account generals from crushing newer players because they may want to save racking up their commendations for later ranks. Commendation rating constantly changes as you level up and earn more for different ranks. Again remember this is all a rough sketch and feel free to sight any nessesary improvements, additions, and things that are best to cut out as you see nessesary. Now for the next part of how you can vertically rank up. We've talked about experience now I want to introduce skill points and "choosing when you rank up" vertically. Skill points or rating points you can also call them would be the accumulation of ratings earned in games. Each vertical rank would require a certain amount of experience (not commendations) and skill points in order to level up. The amount of experience required should be experientially and proportionately more than the amount of skill points. You will automatically level up once the amount of experience needed is aquired. However once you gain the amount of skill points needed to rank up you will be able to choose when that happens by having the option to do a challenge or vidmaster when you have enough skill points. Once completed you will rank up. Of course the chances of this really getting in word for word or at all are slim, but it's always fun to imagine right? I haven't seen anyone else post anything similar to this either and it's even more unlikely for specific ideas to get in. I'm really just trying to experiment with getting as many people from both "conservative" and "liberal" sides of Halo to maybe accept something equally. And maybe there could be something like depending a specific grade reached for a rank you can earn a specialist rank. Like if you're a grade 10 Sergeant then you would become a Petty Officer.
  19. Okay now I am not the best with seeing the whole picture nor do I have keen sense of detail. I may be a bit of a Halo radical and I see that now. I didn't hate Reach and still don't, but I don't think it was the best Halo either. I honestly believe that many of the reasons the "core fan base" say they hate Reach for are actually in hindsight only coincidental affected aspects that are made to branch off from the real issues. And I believe one of those is that Reach wasn't really part of the epic and familiar trilogy we know and love. Reach on its own honestly didn't impress me much as a story I admit. Maybe it was a little sketchy because Bungie was kind of taking a leap of faith even though I am one of the many that promoted this. I still thought Reach had a great campaign the first time I played through, but it just lacked diversity or at least a feel of different scenarios. I think the main issue is that in truth Reach is like a entirely new IP in spirit and it failed to capture us like CE. It was like trying to breed a new and nostalgic feel in a evolved body, but that role is already cemented in CE. It is a prequel and was intended to stand alone from the other games. It didn't inherent the legacy and energy from the other games naturally. It truly had to be built from the ground up in that sense and this is what we missed. Maybe it would have been 5xs more impressive if it was Halo 4 and we were still with chief. If we were going with some passed on energy from previous games, but it wasn't. It was a stand alone title and relative to the cohesive glory of the other games it just didn't match up. And it didn't grab us like CE did when it kicked off the trilogy. But now I'm not going to try to rant about campaign or even about other aspects of Halo because like I said before I am not the best with details and seeing the whole picture. I don't hate Reach so I'm not going to rant anyway. I want to say hi and I hope to post some idea and discussion threads later on and get along with this community, and just observe the creative bomb rush of activity on these forums.
  20. Hey Everyone, and Welcome to 'The Official Halo 4 Armor Thread'! This forum talks everything related to armor speculation and ideas for Halo 4. This includes the any Leaked Images, and Ideas for the Unlocking System, Spartan Armor, Elite Armor, ect. Leaked Pictures: *None Yet* Unlocking System: Guys I think that Armor should be in unlockable through the style of Halo 3. There were so many different ways to unlock some. Whether it was ranking up, skulls, or achievements.. You could still unlock some armor. Unlike Reach, where you are actually forced to play till you rank up, then earn enough credits till you can by a certain armor piece. Spartan Armor: For types of Armor, I say mix old and new together so Everyone's Happy. For instance, for Halo 4 they need to bring back some armor from Halo CEA, Halo 3 and Reach. In other words, they must bring back the "Fan-Favorites". One's like Mark V, Mark VI, Recon, Hayabusa, and Commando must make a return. Simply because, they are probably the 5 Most Favorite armor's of all the Halo Titles. And well, they just looked Flat-out Awesome! Elite Armor: For Elites, I prefer Halo 3 because you have a much better choice of Customization. As compared to Reach, where you are limited to pre-set types of armor. For looks, I think they need to make the Elites look like Halo 3. Why? Well because they actually look "Mean". In Reach they just look a little Bobble-Headed and Cartoonish to me.   23. Hello all, I develop and maintain the copy of "ReachStats" here. I'm proud to announce the new version that will be functioning in the next few hours. I'm working a lot more on this product, because I plan on moving it onto Halo 4. I'd like as much criticism and opinions as possible. I'm aware you cannot see the product now, but I'd like this topic to be your source of information so it may be easier for me to locate it. I've included screenshots of the new version. As you can see, it blends a lot more into this theme and generally looks more professional then the previous version.
