  1. Hi everyone, Spartan here with site poll #86. Last week we compared our favourite matchmaking playlists, and the thread will give you one hell of a throwback. Click here to view the last poll, #85. How do you want the armour-unlock system to work in Halo Infinite? We talked about the REQ system a couple of weeks ago, and one strong point for criticism is how it has completely flawed the armour-unlock system. I personally see Halo 3 as having the best armour-unlock system out of all games. Halo Infinite needs to not only consider realistic designs (no idea what they were thinking in Halo 5 with some helmets), but the means of unlocking each armour piece needs to be seriously reconsidered. What armour-unlock system do you want to see in Halo Infinite? One of the older ones, or something completely new? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  2. We know for sure that MJOLNIR is composed of a Titanium alloy. We do not know what elements are included in this alloy (besides Titanium), so we can only make an educated guess. What elements do you believe are involved in the Titanium alloy used to make MJOLNIR armor, and why? This question applies to Mark IV, V, and VI. It only involves the elements existing today, and does not include the possibility of any possible undiscovered future elements.
  3. A new trailer has been released for Halo Online with many more details than originally expected this early in development! Halo Online had better go worldwide, after seeing this I may need to move to Russia if it doesn't. A user managed to find a clear quality trailer that is about 1:15 worth of action and customization details. The game will have a system of buying items, in three categories, Standard, Premium, and Platinum, or they can be unlocked. Weapons will be FULLY customizable, meaning BRs, ARs, and DMRs that deal with separate qualities such as a heavy style BR with NO RAILS. Some armors I noticed were Cain, NI-Hard, Gladiator, Paladin, Renegade, Soldier, Air Assault, Scout, Mongoose (interesting), Mirmillion, EOD, Boxhead, Breaker, Samurai (Hayabusa), Iron (War Master), Stealth, Rogue, Ninja, Defender, Pilot, Hoplite (returning from Halo 2 Anniversary), Mercenary, and Buzzsaw. And that's likely a drop in the water compared to what is actually in the game. They showed off a host of maps including GUARDIAN, and what looks like a reskinned Blood Gulch. As well, old fan favorite guns return such as the Mauler, Storm Rifle, and the BRUTE PLASMA RIFLE. Also, something strange is most of the text is in English... While they're marketing this to a Russian audience... Hmm. There are more details to be found by Reddit, but until then, look at these juicy screenshots below. So excited... SO EXCITED. I really want this to come to US and if it doesn't, well then I'm doing something to play it, I'll learn Russian if I have to. I have a Ukrainian buddy, maybe he'll help me.   4. Hey guys, excitingly IGN revealed some armour permutations you can unlock in Halo 5 by simply playing the Master Chief Collection! Halo 5: Guardians is on the horizon and details are beginning to be revealed to us in tiny bits, this being a prime example. IGN.com showed off some Halo armour available in Guardians. The first, is two variations of Mark IV, one scarred and one not. The second, ODST armour now labelled 'Nightfall'. And finally a new helmet called HELIOSKRILL resembling Hayabusa. Each of these will be unlock-able through separate achievements in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. For example, the ODST or 'Nightfall' Armour is unlocked by watching all episodes of Halo: Nightfall.   9. First we have Elite armour being shown, and now we have Spartan Armour! What do you think? I think the Halo 2: Anniversary model looks amazing. The two squares look like armour colour customisiation to me. Obviously there may still be some changes being made, bit I'm really looking forward to rocking these armour sets. It also seems that they have brought stances from Halo 4 back. Which armour set are you looking forward to getting back into? Edit: More images!

Just a little thing that no one else has mentioned, was watching the gamescom footage of halo 2 anniversary and I noticed they're using the same if not very similar medals both in design and size from Halo 4. For Halo:5 please bring back the Halo 3 size medals with similar bright colours rather than everything surrounded by grey or including dull colours. In Halo 4 multiplayer I barely took any notice of the medals appearing on my screen just because I didn't notice them because of their size and colour and thus the joy of getting a multikill was somewhat diminished. Also this has yet to be mentioned but will players be able to make their own custom campaign playlists or just choose from a pre-set list such as 'flood' or 'vehicles' etc. If not please try and add that because I think that will be a big opportunity missed because obviously each person likes different levels from each game. One last tiny thing in Halo 4 in armour customisation there was always a significant part of your spartan that included the grey undersuit where you couldn't change the colour. Either show way less of this undersuit, which doesn't look particularly cool anyway, or give players the opportunity to customise the level of it or at least change the colour. Thanks
  11. Halo 5 Armour: Suggestions Hey everyone, i'd like to take a moment to propose some ideas and concepts for some halo 5 armour. Firstly i'd like to show everyone some concepts i have designed myself. (More may be added to the post) I am hoping to one day make it in the gaming industry and a pitcher and designer, what this armour originally was was armour that i am making for my own FPS game Pitch. Seeing as i am still in collage and maybe quite far from pitching a game, i may as well see if these armour are good enough for Halo. Interceptor: I drew this helmet freehand, The fashion i was trying to project with this helmet is Brutal, Heavily Armoured, Sleek and Technical. The purpose of wearers of this helmet would be to intercept enemies from primary objectives. This would be done in an all risk full brutality firefight. The heavy design and lack of a visor suggests a very technical nature of this gear. Ranger (Original name) Fine Liner Free Drawing: Fully Rendered: This helmet is by far one of my favorite concepts, sadly currently sharing the name of a current halo 4 helmet measures will have to be ensured to change this. This helmet is designed for rogue scouts that patrol of recon an area. The visor clearly shown wraps around the front and side of the helmet, giving well over 180 degrees puerperal vision. Another matter i would like to address is how th armour affects us. Halo armour has always just made our Spartans look pretty, i think it is time they got giving a use. Armour pieces should now be given designated statistics. My suggestion to these are as follows: Mobility / Weight: Damage Resistance: (Maybe more) These statistics show that armour should affect the player in terms of battle and mobility. It would create interesting ways in which players can play the game. Players should also have the ability to have a transparent visor, removed helmet, or removed armour pieces. Upon shooting places that armour was removed the player will take much more damage. Another suggestion i would like to make is to make sure that all armour is achievable. I loved the armour in Halo 4, but some armours are just too hard to get or completely unachievable. Examples: Stances: (Breach, Believe and Standoff) are all far too hard to get! They should be made much easier and should suit a play style instead of getting kills with a bunch of weapons. I have seen one person with Breach and one with believe. Standoff is just ridiculous, No gametypes have fuel rod cannons, beam rifles or gravity hammers even spawn! Sorry 343, but thats Crazy! Assault stance is achievable, but still far to hard. Armour: Vanguard, Protector (Skin), Commando, are just out of the question ridiculous. I have never seen anyone with these armours. And disappointingly there are my favorites. They would take bare months to achieve. A set of armour that requires a designated goal should only take a bare maximum of 8 Solid gameplay hours to achieve. (If i could make a suggestion, It shouldn't require the "Master" level on a commendation. I feel that the level master is very fair, but you shouldn't be required to reach it for all armours. Visors: Verdant was very hard to get and far too enduring. I feel if it was lowed by at least half it would be fair. I forget the name of it but the red visor requiring avenger medals is very hard. The message i am trying to get across here (And i definitely don't blame 343, it was their first game and they wouldn't have known how it would go down) but now they know (: so c'mon 343! One last thing that isn't entirely relevant. I Don't think all specializations should be available for unlock straight away, some should be restricted until you have done more, per say, completed a number of specializations.   14. Halo 4 Armour Review: Hey Guys! Raxs_Slayer back here again on teh 343 forums. Today i'm goign to rant about halo 4's armour. These are my opinions, maybe yours a different, please share them respecively thanks! The Armour: Recruit: - A Really nice looking armour! It has a nice classic halo feel, sort of reminds me of ODST. - I rate this 8/10 CIO: - Very unusual! But i do appreaciate the idea of spartan secret forces. Whereas i might not appreacite the looks as much, it's a great idea! - I rate this 6/10 Gungir: - Very nice! An Excelent twist on the classic. I must say i do like Halo reach's gungnir much more but this one does hit the spot, heavy armour, that's what it's about. - 7/10 Fotus: - Well, you may not look like a spartan but you are BE-AY-UU-DIFUL! Very nice aethetics, agressive and intimidating. - 10/10 Hazop: - This for me is almost a perfect helmet. 343 really did manage to make this look like a heavy spartan. Looks very UNSC, and looks a much better Hazard Operative helmet than reach's! - 9/10 Infiltrator: - Well, well. This is very wierd for halo. But that doesn't mean i don't appreacite it. This guy looks like he can take some damage, if they body armour was bigger this guy would look perfect! But that is however quite a big flaw in this armour, too skinny. - I rate this 6/10 Mk.VI: - Well! Looks who's back! Nice helmet, god ole' classics, you can't beat em! - 8/10 Oceanic: - Great idea, but for me, this helmet is massively lacking detail! And sadly looks a bit outdated. Looks more 1900s that 2200s. - 3/10 Orbital: - 343! What's that skull dooing there! No, i get what you were tryign to do, but it doesn't work for me. Beutiful design, i loved the origional models without the skull. But now looks like he should have been more careful painting his house! - 5/10 Recon: - Well done 343! This is defintly helment that looks good as a classic! I did like the heavily armoured model you were origionaly going to introduce more but this works too! Nice one! - 6/10 Strider: - I just though wow! when i saw this one. Really awesome. Looks likes a deathsport spartan. Propper griffball armour. Super nice! Definitly a fave! - 9/10 Scout: - Cool! I like how you have gone with the risk of using the halo 3 model. Definitly matches halo 4's other helmets more. Good job! - 7/10 Solider: - Agressive, Intimidating, This is what you need in a helmet. Really good Job! If onyl the mouth piece was better :S - 5/10 Vanator: - Wow! Where did this come from? Really unusual, but you can't say it's not awesome. Big risk! But nice armour! - 7/10 Warrior: - Cool helmet! Looks like a blast pyro mask! Nice design, heavily armoured. but not for me. - 4/10 Deadeye: - This is a funny fellow. But he does look awesome. I love the narrow squinting design. He looks just like the reach model with a heavily armoured look! The best it's ever been! Nice one 343! - 9/10 Aviator: - Looks exactly like it short, shot and sweet, this helmet is epic! - 6/10 Warmaster: - Does look a lot like a promethean. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to carve a skull into their visor! but hell it looks awesome! - 6/10 E.V.A: - Classic, yet modern. I like the more curved look! - 6/10 Enforcer: - Some swanky new armour! Looks cool. Heavy, agressive. I just think the visor looks a little too sunk in. - 5/10 Vanguard: - Incredible, just incredible. One of the best looking helmets in halo history! New, futuristic, unique. - 10/10 Air assault: - Very nice. I'm not sure if it's better than reach's but it's different. I wouldn't wear it though, doesn't suit me. - 2/10 Scanner: - Really interesting design! I would love that helmet without the scanner though. I can see somethign awesome underneath! - 5/10 Commando: - Massive, agressive, heavy, just plain awesome. Looks exactly how a field commander should! Flawless design! - 10/10 Ranger: - Oh my. Looks very wierd. Definitly a love hate helmet. But i suppose it's one that is more about the principle of unlocking rather than show. It does remind me of starwars for some reason though. but i do think it is rather awesome. - 7/10 Protector: - Definitly one of the best! Heavy, no visor? Who cares! When you look this good who needs a visor? - 10/10 Raider: - This does look rather cool. Very interesting. I don't think i'd wear it but it is a nice idea. - 4/10 Defender: - This really does match the name. The face seems flat and shielded just like you'd imagine. A very clever design. - 6/10 Engineer: - A very, very nice helmet. I love the unusual design and aesthetics. Especially the small visor. Amazing design, very out of the ordinary. - 8/10 Operator: - A fantastic new looking armour, very circular and mechanical design. Looks pretty damn good. - 8/10 Pioneer: - Looks very alien indeed. However i love the two visors and how the helmet looks as a whole. Very intriguing, love the design, but not something i'd wear. - 4/10 Pathfinder: - Possibly one of the most ingeniously designed helmets out there! Amazing aesthetics, angular and agressive. - 9/10 Wetwork: - Very nice design! I remember a halo 3 fan submitted helmet that looks just like it. Very assassin style, streaked, looks very agile. but not for me. - 4/10 Stalker: - I'm going to be honest. That thing looks like a damn lizard! But hey? That's awesome. It looks really interesting and very far fetched. But i love it. - 8/10 Rogue: - Very, very cool. Looks like a hard and heavy style Orbital helmet. Looks completely bad*ss to me. - 8/10 Tracker: - Love this one! Has those awesome 3 lights on top of the visor. Looks very space age and futuristic with that classic halo feel.   15. So, from what I understand, I was to receive Fotus Armour from my Halo 4 Console Disc. However, I don't have the Armour in my selection, I've tried everything. I'm really getting upset about this. I know it's a bit silly but I payed for it and I should have it. I have the SN of my console and the game case. What can be done to fix this?

With the weapons I'm hoping for a much larger variety, like having both assault rifle's where the 32 round is stronger, more accurate and is thinner, the 60 has a faster fire rate, is weaker and looks thicker, so in the end it will equal the 32 AR. Just things like that, having a larger weapon choice, bringing back old weapons like the mauler and brute shot. as well as adding in new ones. Also with the needler, the halo reach one needs the shield down to go boom, and halo 4 one doesn't (but needs 7 needles), the reach needler could be a loadout weapon a halo 4 needler could be a power weapon. If they are bringing elites back as a playable specie then they should be fully customizable. And if they're keeping the unlock the weapons yourself thing then they could have separate ranks for spartan and elite, you unlock the weapons for that specie as it ranks up and the weapon become usable for both. when you first start your spartan you get to choose between the 32 or the 60 round AR and either the 8 rounds (scoped) or 12 rounds (faster fire rate), when you first start the elite you can choose between plasma rifle, repeater, or storm rifle with the plasma pistol (and maybe a new pistol for the covenant). If they do this then for promethean weapons (sorry for the huge read) you should be able to be humanoid promethean knight or even a forerunner. If they bring brutes back you should be able be one of them as well and you choose start with either the spiker or the brute plasma rifle. with assassinations, if you can showstop someone by a beat down then you should be able to assassinate someone performing an assassination, if you're saving a team-mate then the medal should be called something like "Not on my watch", if it's a free for all and you have a headshot capable side-arm then you should not only kill the attacker but steal the victim as well with the medal "The Spotlights Mine". However you need to be really lucky to getthis because whenever i assassinate on reach or 4 i always change the camera angle so i cant beat down. It would awesome if 343 did this, and made eacg save/steal different for each assassination.
  17. One of the problems I noticed with campaign was that while the armour abilities were good, they were too grounded and simple. Not that there is anything wrong with that but having to discovered all the armour abilities by the fourth mission does make combat very repetitive and boring . Plus having to use nerfed armour abilities in campaign does reduce the fun a bit. For example you remember how useful active camouflage was in Halo 1,2 and 3 ?You could basically move as fast as you wanted and still remain invisible. This was balanced out however by having the ability only last for a short while, more so in Halo2 when you had it “equipped” to your suit. Then Halo reach came along and ****** that up by using the “one size fits all” motto and copying every ability from multiplayer into the campaign. If you gonna have an ability mechanic in all your game modes, then the least you can do is design them separately to magnify the differences between the game modes . One of the ways Halo 4’s armour abilities could be improved is introducing a Bioshock/crisis progression system in campaign. Im not saying add RPG elements to the game, but rather progressively increase what the abilities can do depending on what level you’re on . Possible Armour Ability Progressions Active Camouflage As you progress through the campaign you encounter elites of higher ranks which drop camo modules of different tiers. The higher the rank the longer the camo last.(and you can actually move at normal speeds an you still won’t be detected) Auto Sentry/AI This one probably has the most potential because its uncharted territory even for Bungie. This armour ability could start of by allowing you to summon your typical auto sentry , then by the end of the game “upgrade” to allow you to summon sentinels , a crawler or even a proto-knight Thruster Pack Starts as your basic thruster pack at the start of campaign but eventually becomes something that can be used offensively, sort of like the Biotic Charge from Mass effect Promethean Vision This ability seems pretty op already so I really cant come up with anything to improve it. Hologram Starts off as your basic hologram module but towards the end of the game can be used as a remote EMP pulse grenade (not that strong ,just enough to knock out shields)

    i've seen a lot of people that haven't reached 30 level o xp yet....although they've already achieved armors like oceanic for example and others that i haven't already obtain even though i passed 30's level 2 days ago.... how it is possible..can you explain me? maybe i guess it could be because i haven't done the campain?..............................................................................i've played online all the time?

  20. I bought the collectors edition of Halo 4, and was lucky enough to get a myriad of codes for additional content in the game, including Armour permutations. I installed these before I played the game, then went directly onto the campaign. When I decided to go to the Multiplayer, It prompted me to install disk 2, which I did, and now I can't access any of the additional content that I have. Is this a glitch to be patched out?

  25. Hey Everyone, and Welcome to 'The Official Halo 4 Armor Thread'! This forum talks everything related to armor speculation and ideas for Halo 4. This includes the any Leaked Images, and Ideas for the Unlocking System, Spartan Armor, Elite Armor, ect. Leaked Pictures: *None Yet* Unlocking System: Guys I think that Armor should be in unlockable through the style of Halo 3. There were so many different ways to unlock some. Whether it was ranking up, skulls, or achievements.. You could still unlock some armor. Unlike Reach, where you are actually forced to play till you rank up, then earn enough credits till you can by a certain armor piece. Spartan Armor: For types of Armor, I say mix old and new together so Everyone's Happy. For instance, for Halo 4 they need to bring back some armor from Halo CEA, Halo 3 and Reach. In other words, they must bring back the "Fan-Favorites". One's like Mark V, Mark VI, Recon, Hayabusa, and Commando must make a return. Simply because, they are probably the 5 Most Favorite armor's of all the Halo Titles. And well, they just looked Flat-out Awesome! Elite Armor: For Elites, I prefer Halo 3 because you have a much better choice of Customization. As compared to Reach, where you are limited to pre-set types of armor. For looks, I think they need to make the Elites look like Halo 3. Why? Well because they actually look "Mean". In Reach they just look a little Bobble-Headed and Cartoonish to me. Excellent Ideas: As for my Personal Favorites, I would like to see these Helmets make a Return: Halo 3 - Recon Hayabusa Mark V (From Halo: CEA) Mark VI Sequrity CQB Halo: Reach - Commando ODST I put ALOT of work into this thread, so please feel free to comment with your Opinions and Ideas.
