  1. So over the years the Sangheili have been constantly redesigned. Which is good. Halo 1 have them a sense of scary + cool, especially during jump scares. Halo 2, Same but more detailed, pretty scary either way. Halo 3. I have a problem with them because they look too slouched, as if shorter. They are cool however, that one thing really bothers me. Halo Wars. Very good. Scary and cool. They look like an early version of Reach elites crossed with 3, due to their skinny waist and scary teeth and face. The Halo 3 features would be the armor design. Very cool. Halo: Reach. Very, very COOL. Like HCE, a sense of scary and cool. The way the teeth and vibe are done, the angular faces, these are my FAVORITE!! Also the feet look bird-like. My least favorite design, the worst to me. Although this one is cool, I just think they look too slouched. Maybe it's the armor. Also. I don't like how no armor is on the forearms, just feels naked.....I think sticking to Reach or H3 style would have been good. So yeah, Reach rocks. Give out your favorites.
  2. Hey guys I was just checking out some random halo 4 pics when i came across something that i didn't like at all. A new Legendary symbol. I have attached it here, tell me what you think. A like would be appreciated!!!
  3. We are AWI - A Worthwhile Investment - Created by AWI IK H2PLY GD and me, AWI Your Fear now known as AWI Golgari You will not get a spam message from us, only a friendly party Chat, we believe that recruitment starts with friendship and a conversation.. not a spammed out generic message or dialogue that is pushed onto members who need to recruit. We give responsibility regarding recruitment and freedom for ideas building on collective and individual strengths. Unlike other clans where every decision is dictated by Higher ups". You will have a welcome opinion here. We want to represent a fun-loving, tight knit group of FRIENDS that also happen to play Halo too. Most commonly played games among us are: PC League of legends Magic The Gathering: Arena Dota Halo Series Runescape. Xbox Halo Series Magic The Gathering Dead Space 3 Fortnight COD series and more What we offer We offer a "Trial" in AWI. This is just a period for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you. That way you can either become a full member at the end, knowing that you are having a wonderful time in AWI... Or we can respectfully and politely part ways if we are not compatible for each other. We have Chinese, London, Los Angeles, and Australian time zone members. Plus side is we have English, Chinese, and Spanish language speakers. Message us if you are tempted to join us across PC, 360 AND Xbox One consoles. We let people create Squads and encourage Mini Branches to promote friendly competition and ensure that you play with friends. Prerequisites/Clan rules 1. Name change, Bio and Motto - if you decide to stay in after a month, we respectfully request that those listed above be changed to show unity and help passively recruit potential members 2. Headset - to ensure we can "Call out" and also helps us to connect and bond with each other, keep up with Clan information and speak whenever needed. 3. No under 16's - We like to have Adult humour and also trash talk/be subject to trash talk back. To save awkward situations regarding the use of language or topic discussion by our towards our members we prefer to admit those who are only over 18, but we do consider 16 as the minimum age for recruitment. 4. Willing to cooperate - We would prefer people who can take instruction or be open to constructive criticism/help, I am more of relaxed myself in Slayer games and enjoy freedom but if we are playing CTF (Capture The Flag), We will need to be obedient and listen to whoever is in charge of directing an attack or defence of the Flags 5. Trash Talk and receive in good spirits - Trash Talk can affect game-play Positively and Negatively. We need people who are happy to occasionally Talk trash and also realize that the Opponents will use the same tactics occasionally. 6. Be aware of Clan Directives - If we are doing something like Recording a match via Capture Card, then we will not be tolerating other member of the Clan using extreme Trash talk or Tea-bagging during that match UNLESS specified before the match. 7. No Quitting, We promote Loyalty and respect towards our Opponents and Team mates. If you leave a Game, not only do you let down the Team and your friends, but you narrow down any chance that the team had to catch up or lose with Dignity. I Hope to welcome you personally to the clan. Please post below, even just your Gamer-tag and if you want... we shall contact YOU. Thank you From Clan Recruiter and Head of AWI Human or Non-Human Resources AWI Golgari.
  4. Hi everyone, Spartan here with Site Poll 105...yes, I'm really back for it. Please, contain your excitement. Hold your applause. Keep your underwear on. Unfortunately both Yoshi and Maestro failed to uphold my legacy with the Site Polls that I greatly invested in, thanks guys (love ya really ). Honestly wanna thank them both for producing five more polls after I stepped down, it was much appreciated. I can't say for sure whether I'll be doing these weekly like I used to, but you can expect one every now and then. This community had and will always have a special place in my heart, and it's all of you, the people, that make it. Speaking of this awesome community, let's dive into Poll 105. Will Halo: Infinite reignite the 343ICF? I joined in 2013, just over over 6 years ago now. When I joined, the place was starting to buzz with life. It was warming up again after a previous period of inactivity. I can't speak too much for the 2011 to early-2013 state of the site, but from what I made out, 2013/2014 was the peak of this community's activity. Members were like family with each other, I'd come back home everyday to join my new-found friends here. We all had something in common, various things in common in many cases. Remember the days of forum games? Now we can't even get a flowing convo in the shoutbox. I'm guilty of inactivity as well, the already-present growing lack of activity here didn't give me anymore reason to return and stay for long. I always end up coming back though, because there's truly no place like home. Now Infinite is shaping up to be impressive, and we're getting a sick port of Reach to Xbox One and PC soon (hopefully). The Halo community is still very active, and will only get more hyped as time progresses. But what about our community? Waypoint's a nice house, but it's not home. Do any of you think the upcoming Halo content, namely Infinite, will bring the community back to life? Will it potentially bring new members that'll be here to stay, or have older members return for good? A familiar face is always nice, and a fresh one with passion is just as good. Or do you think the community has had it's time, and will begin fossilising soon enough? There's always potential for life to be breathed into this old dog. If Infinite won't do it, Reach and the MCC port to PC may. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. As always, Spartan out.
  5. This is a huge debate in my school. I am the biggest Halo fan in my school and most of friends play CoD. They think BOII will be better than Halo 4, but I disagree.
  6. Please post what helmets you voted for and if possible describe why. Mine are: Recon, Vanguard and Protector. See below for helmet images:
  7. Since ODST came out, people jumped on the band wangon about it. "Oh, Where's MASTER CHIEF ???" And "WTF ?? THERES NO MATCHMAKING" were the reason why people hated on it. Because there was no Master Chief and MatchMaking. So what ? For once were some tough ass Super Solider or Alien, were finally a normal human being. And admit it, walking around the map, all dark and scary, was really fun. I loved the Campaign, The Rookie is awesome character. People hate him because he never talks. Like really ? Link from Legend of Zelda never talks or the main character from BioShock or anybody else never talks, nobody hated on them. Yeah sure the dialouge was cheesy for some characters (Yeah well... here I am). But no mission felt the same and playing as other ODSTs was awesome. Then here's the big reason; There's no matchmaking. Who gives a **** if there no matchmaking ? Halo: CB didn't have matchmaking. Instead of matchmaking, we got FireFight a cool and fun game mode. Then Halo 4. Before it came out, everybody was super hyped about. Now look, everybody has mix feelings about. Some feel the Campaign was too short and the gameplay was different. So what ? We got the Sequel to Master Chief's story! And while playing the campaign, i didn't care the **** Chief goes through, all I cared about was Chief and Cortana relationship. And people were like "Oh, MatchMaking is broken" and it's not the same, I agree. I don't see why you rank up to get armor, why not just unlock in ODST and Halo 3 or buy it like in Reach. But I don't really care for the mutiplayer in Halo 4. I enjoyed the Campaign and I think it was a great Halo game. So what do you think is better ? ODST or Halo 4 ? For me, it's a tough one to say, and because I love these games, but I pick Halo 4, only because it's dark atmosphere and Chief and Cortana relationship. I know I'm missing alot of other reasons about these games that make them not bad games, but I'm lazy to type and my thumbs hurt. lol.

  9. Hey guys, there has been a lot of debate as to which controller layout is the best. Personally I believe that the advantages that bumper jumper provide make it the best choice. So I was wondering what controller layout do you use? Also check out the video bellow for a full explanation as to why I like Bumper Jumper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBoV5yxkP8M&feature=plcp
  10. Hey everyone. I'm posting this topic to see your opinions on the new gametypes. If you haven't been able to tell by now I like hearing everyone's opinions. Anyways, the poll is multiple choice so if you feel like you like multiple gametypes equally you can vote for more than one, but please refrain from voting for all of the gametypes.
  11. hey guys i've been thinking about how hard its gonna be on halo 4 using recon, like for example not being able to aim at the enemy in time because of the running delay. i'll either use recon, or default. but what i'd like is that they switched x being sprint and make it to reload, so that rb could be sprint, making the controls so much more easier. i've been thinking and each layout is good in its own way, bumper jumper, is for people who use it, boxer is for people who fav sword only matches, recon is good for people who want to stay the most true to the past controls, and fishstick is good for newcomers who usually play modern shooters like cod and battlefield. what do you guys say? should i stay true to halo and use recon, or quit being a baby and use default, which is almost the same? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcWrRhctQGA
  12. Please share your opinions on the new sniper. I think it looks kinda ugly and clustered. But that doesn't mean it is. Here is some pictures: Pic 1 Pic 2
  13. I know most people are probably sick of this thread, but it's still a fun question. In Halo 4, what will you use as your utility weapon the Battle Rifle or the DMR? We know that they are both 5 shot kills, and that the BR is better at close range and the DMR is better at long range. I think both are equally effective at mid range, I personally prefer an assault rifle at closer ranges to the BR so I would use the DMR, but that's just my opinion. So go ahead and speculate!
  14. The Fleet of Omnipotent Council is a Sangheili clan on Halo: Reach (Xbox 360 based, but One players are welcomed as well). We're a small, newly developed clan looking for serious members. Our Empress is a former ultra from the Fleet of Intent, a large clan that unfortunately fell due to rebellious leaders and a general revolt. The Empress wishes to form a new clan following similar rules and guidelines to her old clan. Though we may be small now, we hope to grow and prosper quickly as fresh members come in. The Fleet welcomes all, inexperienced or seasoned. Our current priorities include members interested in the position of council member, ranger class, and spec ops class. But as I said before, all are welcome. If interested, message Hibbly Heathen, Empress of the fleet, or yeahbuddy2526, Low Ultra Councilmen and primary recruiter.
  15. Hello there one and all. For those of you who don't know me my name is SeanM666. But since i've been gone for a couple years and have lost my password to my old account on here i've been reborn as SeanM666v.2 lol Here's what this topic is about. Lost And Forgotten Forge Maps From Halo 4 and or Reach. What happened to those maps that you once enjoyed playing constantly with a bunch of your friends? Do you have any maps that time has forgotten over the years? If so here's a fresh new idea by yours truly. Why don't you Share some of the maps you loved if you still have them or if you remember playing. Since i don't have a xb360 anymore due to it's disk drive finally giving out on me after 5 years of owning it i have been out of the gaming community in halo. I last made dozens of maps on Reach and Halo 4 although idk if any of them still exist. If you would like to look up my maps up simply look up my gamertag in the custom maps options to download and view some of my map creations. I'd love to see any form of images of your maps or even if you have the ability to load videos up i'd love to see some of them being played on. I've always loved creating new buildings and maps on halo since the sand box on halo 3. And now it seems those creative architectures i've made and the maps have been lost to time...Or have they? Please post any images of maps you have made or one's that have made a lasting impression on you through out the Halo:reach to Halo 4 games you have helped create or even help test on. And also feel free to check out what little if any maps i made are still in the game. I look forward to seeing your creativity and your beautiful maps. One Forge artist to the next.

  20. Here is a comment Frank O'Connor replied to Louis Wu regarding Quick time events. We have seen some quick time events in video, trailers and vidoc's, such as the Chief climbing over some scaffolding/ wreckage, prying open door and the part where the Chief throws an Elite over a ledge. But the the questions is do we control those quick time moments or do they happen automatically like they do in Reach? Here is the comment Frank O'Connor gave: "I would point out these moments are rare and only happen during events that are things you can't normally do physically. The first level has a couple of them to "train" you, but they won't be frequent or presented as QTE problems. They're transitional or cinematic vignettes that don't yank you out of the action. Also, if you don't smash that Elite he tosses you down the shaft". Original Link to Frank O'Connor's Comment Here
  21. Images of the Forward Unto Dawn Mega Bloks toys. Read below for more details Source: LittleEnglishHaloBlog.com They also claim this is the first time they've produced a Master Chief figure, though I'm sure the dozens of green Spartans could probably pass for him. It also includes this light up mini-Cortana which is pretty damn sweet. The set is available from Amazon UK for £250 and Amazon US for $325, better go get it added to your letter to Santa now!
  22. The Halo bulletin. Read below for more details Source: Halo Waypoint Over the past few days, babies were born, presidents were elected, and games were released—one of which just happened to be Halo 4. To say we’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our game would be an understatement. We’re humbled by your feedback and blown away by how many of you are spending significant amounts of time traversing our virtual battlefields. Here is a teeny-tiny peek into our day one numbers: More people played Halo 4 in the first 24 hours than any other Halo launch day in history. We’ll be sharing more details on Monday, but that should whet your appetite for the hard stats that are coming. Thank you for playing our game and stay tuned for additional updates, because we have some amazing things planned for the future of Halo 4. Midnight Madness It was a very surreal moment when the clock struck midnight on November 6. A day almost four years in the making, a single tick of the clock marked the occasion as stores around the world began releasing Halo 4 into the wild. From a to Jen Taylor and Steve Downes dual wielding Sharpies and smiles, over 10,000 midnight launch events around the world played host to a variety of different festivities, making the launch of Halo 4 a night to remember. Check out this pictorial recap showing how your fellow community members celebrated the release of Halo 4. The vast majority of 343 attended a launch event, and we had a blast celebrating the release of our game with you. We hope you had a good time, too! Halo 4 Housekeeping While the launch of Halo 4 went off without a hitch for the majority of you, a small percentage of players are experiencing a few different issues. We are tracking these issues and providing regular updates in the following forum thread: Issues being investigated. Please utilize that thread for reporting any and all problems you may be experiencing (we also have a Halo 4 FAQ, so check to see if your issue has been covered there first). We kindly ask that you utilize that thread for actual issues with the game. While we absolutely care that you think Cortana’s thighs are too large, that is not the appropriate place to make that post. You know who you are. Here are a few of the more common questions (and their relevant answers) we’re seeing right now. Y U No have game manual?! In an effort to save the world (and by world, we of course mean trees), we created an in-depth online interactive guide. You can access that here: http://www.halowaypo...n-US/Halo4Guide. How does the install process for Disc 2 work? Disc 2 contains largely multiplayer content. You can put it in at any time, even before Disc 1, and install the content. You will get a slideshow, some music and a progress bar. After a few minutes, you can remove that disc and never deal with it again. Everything multiplayer, including Spartan Ops, Forge and Campaign can then be launched from Disc 1. My Disc 2 is failing to install. HELP! If you’re experiencing issues installing Disc 2 content, choose “Spartan Ops” or “War Games” in the menu. You will see a message saying you need to install the content. Please choose the “Download from Xbox LIVE” option. If you have done a partial install with Disc 2 (i.e., your last install was either corrupt or interrupted), delete the old package before attempting the reinstall process. You can delete the old package by following the below steps: 1. Go to the Xbox Dashboard 2. Go to the “Settings” tab 3. Select “System” 4. Select “Storage” 5. Select “All Devices” 6. Select “Games and Apps” 7. Select “Halo 4” from the list of games 8. Select “Spartan Ops Season 1.0” 9. Select “Delete” 10. Select “Yes” to confirm 11. After it deletes that package, select “War Games” from the list 12. Select “Delete” 13. Select “Yes” to confirm My Xbox crashes every time I try to go to Halo Waypoint from Halo 4. Fix it! You fix it! You can do that by deleting Halo Waypoint and reinstalling it. What’s up with the daily XP cap? The daily XP cap is intended to preserve the integrity of the progression system. In other words, it’s in place to provide an early gate from players running amok in their progression. When we launched, we had a bug where double XP tokens were being consumed even when you went over the cap. That has since been fixed. In the coming weeks, we will be monitoring how many players are hitting the cap so we can respond accordingly. Sometimes I see a different set of hoppers, and my SR gets set back to 0. Why does that happen? What you are seeing are “fallback hoppers”. When you enter this mode, you will see a UI notification. It shows up on the “Find Game” screen for War Games. In previous Halo titles, you’re dependent on the servers to get the information you needed for Matchmaing, and if they go down, you can’t play. Fallback hoppers are a new functionality for Halo 4, and they allow people to continue playing Halo 4 when there are server issues. In order to preserve the integrity of the online experience, there are some limitations to this functionality: • Reduced XP earn rate, counted as offline XP • Players in the fallback hopper cannot play with those that are using the regular server hoppers • Player customization is disabled (no armor, loadouts, emblem) Since the server isn’t actually available in fallback hopper mode, you’ll be missing functionality that the server provides. This includes: • Spartan Ops • File Share • Service Record • Commendations • Challenges • Double XP tokens You will automatically be switched to fallback hoppers if you fail to download a necessary file. You’ll remain in fallback hoppers for up to 10 minutes after the services return. When in this mode, it’s a good idea to relaunch the game on a regular basis, so you can reenter the regular hoppers as soon as they’re available. Now that we’re done with the housekeeping, we’d like to say that we hope your experience with Halo 4 has been nothing short of pleasurable. If that’s not the case, definitely let us know here. Next Week's Matchmaking Playlist Update As you read the above title, you’re probably thinking, “We get a Matchmaking update already?!” and the answer is yes, you do indeed get a Matchmaking update already. Welcome to Halo 4, Spartans! Halo 4 Matchmaking updates will occur on a more frequent basis than what you’re accustomed to with Reach. Instead of monthly updates, we will be providing weekly updates, with the goal being to provide fresh content on a regular basis. We will maintain a static set of playlists and feature one or two “rotational” playlists on top of that. We will be monitoring trends and statistics closely so we can react accordingly to your preferences and likes. For instance, if one of our rotational playlists consistently holds a higher population than one of our static playlists, we will consider swapping them out based on player demand. The process will be fluid and based on numbers, and we’re extremely excited about the benefits of our new approach. So, what brand new playlist do you get next week? You get everybody’s favorite “Boom, headshot!” game type. Oh yes, it’s time for SWAT! By the way, please excuse the sobbing you might be hearing right now. It’s Frankie, weeping his man-tears of joy. Now, on to the nitty-gritty of SWAT in Halo 4. We’ve carefully balanced the damage resistance to allow both the Battle Rifle and the DMR to compete against each other in SWAT. Another change is that we’ve removed the shield HUD; so combined with disabled radar and no ordnance, you get even more visibility during a match. Below are the exact number of shots it takes for each weapon to kill. • DMR – 3 bullets to the chest, 1 bullet to the head • Magnum – 3 bullets to the chest, 1 bullet to the head • BR – 7 bullets to the chest (this gun shoots three bullets in a burst, so the first bullet of the third burst will kill the player), 1 bullet to the head These are the maps that will appear in the SWAT playlist. • Haven • Adrift • Complex • Abandon • Solace Here are some strategies for those unfamiliar with the SWAT game type. • Aim for the head! • Use a DMR for long range encounters and a BR to sweep hallways. • A Magnum is more effective than melee at very close range because of its incredibly fast fire speed. • Use callouts with your teammates; communication allows you to work more efficiently as a team. • Pick up a DMR or BR off of an enemy. Having both weapons is a big advantage. • Learn the maps to keep your reticle at headshot level. And finally, here’s a preview of our planned settings. Mode SWAT Teams 4v4 Score to Win 600 [60 Kills] Loadout 1 DMR, Magnum Loadout 2 BR, Magnum Grenades Disabled Shields Disabled Damage Resistance .8 – Headshot = Instant kill Motion Tracker Off Infinite Ammo On Shield HUD Disabled Ordnance Disabled We hope you love SWAT in Halo 4. After you’ve had a chance to play it, be sure to visit the Matchmaking section of our forums to leave your feedback about this particular game type. See you next week, and thanks again for joining us on this amazing journey. We appreciate your support, more than you know. <3, bs angel
  23. Halo 4's complete armor sets shown. Read below for more details Source: Gameinformer.com Halo 4 is out in just a matter of hours. Now's your chance to get a look at all of the game's armor sets before your schedule is completely booked with multiplayer matches. Deviantart user Sithvenator has compiled a massive image of all the game's various armor, including from preorder bonuses, unlocks, and limited-edition bonuses. It's a perfect overview of the game's art design and a nice glimpse of the sheer variety of cosmetic details you'll see in the game. Of course, they'll be worn by people hopping around like overcaffeinated idiots, so this is probably your best shot at soaking in the detail. Thanks for the tip, Cru Hunter!
  24. Microsoft rewarding players with a max of 600 Microsoft points for playing Halo 4. Read below for more details Source: Gameinformer.com Who said gaming doesn't pay? Xbox Live Rewards members can score Microsoft Points for their time spent playing multiplayer matches. You may not want to quit your day job, however. The program is laid out on Microsoft's Xbox Rewards site. Members earn points by accruing time in Halo 4 multiplayer. Spend 35-70+ hours and you'll get 100 Microsoft Points. If you play between 70-140 hours, you get 300 Microsoft Points. The highest tier is for players who frag their way through more than 140 hours. The prize? How does 600 Microsoft Points grab you? For players who already plan on creating a couch divot, it's a nice bonus. If you think it's a worthy time investment in and of itself, you may want to think this through. You're earning about five cents an hour at the highest tier, which you could probably make scouring for change in parking garages. Oh well. You can also earn 200 or 100 MS Points for spending 3,000 or 1,500 points respectively on Halo content, with a cap of 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Also, you need to fulfill the requirements before November ends. Set aside a little over six hours a day in multiplayer, and those 600 Microsoft Points can be yours!
