1. Hello, my gamer tag is Wagoner1993 but you can call me Wagoner. I've been forging since Halo 3; however, I never really got into it until Halo Reach and now I consider myself a very talented forger. I'm part if the MK25 forging clan and I have been for about a year now which has improved my skills greatly. If you look in my file share, you will find a mixture of Flood, Mini-Games, and some Slayer. I will be posting some of them in the forums throughout the next couple of days so keep an eye out for them. I look forward to becoming part of this community
2. What if flood could drive cars, use guns, do things they've never done before. They could create a whole new gametype. Gravedanger: In this gamemode you are either flood or spartans. Both can use covenant, human, and forerunner weapons and vehicles. A gravemind has formed and the flood are becoming stronger mentally with it being created. your job is to exterminate the flood and destroy the gravemind. 16 vs 16 battles Custom game flood: In custom games there could be flood AI that could be customized for example you can have a flood move in a certain direction only or have it have no A.I ( customize), dumb A.I ( has regular flood traits) or smart A.I( gravemind flood can drive, will go after weapons, pickup weapons, drive vehicles, and steal ordinance.)
3. I would like 343 to add a Survival mode where you are is a big Flood area ( Big Map ) and just have waves of flood. Also would like to defend playing as the UNSC, and also have the choice to defend with the Covenant, have Hunters and other Covenant on you're side. I have been thinking about this before Halo 3 and was hoping Halo 4 would have it, now I'm hoping Halo 5 will have it, and if not Halo 5 because it's tolate then I hope Halo 6. Tell me what you think or add on thing's.
4. Hi everyone, I'm working on a flood map and I need a way for the flood to be forced to spawn at the nearest attacker spawn point to the uninfected players. For example if the humans are in the 5th room of the map then the flood shouldn't spawn in the first unless that his the location of the nearest spawns. Any help on this would be much appreciated as the map really wont work right if I can't do this.
5. Gamer tag: Rocco0728 Map "Starship Troopers": http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/59275d4b-9541-45da-af6c-79f242b465c1 Game type "SST":http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/filebrowser/details/b7ba9968-12d0-4669-9b97-6df79a5ea98d Recommand player count:4-8 Basically the outpost defense in Starship Troopers, just survive till the game ends, highly suggest playing the map with the SST game type. The more bug the better!

7. Repression Map: Repression Gametype: Hivemind Gamertag: Auxi Klutch Youtube Channel: Mk25 Forgers Description: This map was made for Free Roam Flood. The map was also contributed by Shadow Kryptiic & DUN3Z. The map is multi-leveled as well as it is completely indoors. The map consists of initial ordnance drops as well as random ordnance drops for consistent gameplay. The map was also submitted for flood matchmaking, and is 1 of the 4 maps that were accepted. I hope that you guys like this flood map. We put many hours with the map design, playtests, and fixes. I also want to thank all the people that helped playtest this map. Also for the ones that didnt make it to matchmaking, they were all good maps.
8. Gamertag: The Gambler 096 Map name: Doomed Darkness Gametype: Doomed darkness (flood) Description: Using your 'underwater canvas' map, I managed to create a unique flood survival area that other maps do not use which is the lack of visibility. The map is based around a outpost and comes complete with weapons and a back garden and is all set with a nice fog containing some flood. Also areas of the map that are normal survivor friendly are turned in to flood friendly areas later in the round, increasing the survivors challenge. Enjoy the Murky world Below. Recommended player count is either: 6-12 or 6-max players (I haven't tested with more than 6-7 people yet.) The main holdout area is the church itself but there are other ways to survive. It uses the gametype "Church defense" and must only be used by this gametype because it is a modded gametype which allows players to retain their orginal armor color and for weapons to actually spawn. It is a pretty fun and balanced map for both flood and humans. Works with 8 but plays the best with 12.
10. Throughout the Halo saga, humanity has been plagued with deadly foes. First it was the Flood; then the Insurrectionists (Innies); then the Covenant; and most recently the Prometheans. So I ask you: Which was your favorite, which wasn't, and which would work best in Halo 5? Feel free add ideas for entirely new reasons, or support your own opinion of which is the best/worst. Thanks for all the support in the previous Volume; here's to many future Volumes to come!
11. Gametypes: the map is recommended for Free for all slayer but supports 3v3 team slayer. you can play KOTH, Flood 117 (custom flood game type) and all slayer types on this map. any more then 8 people will over crowded and result in spawn killing. The map has some places only reachable by using armor abilitys and a mantis, ghost, mongoose and warthog placed in various areas. Creator: Hordys8096 Back Story: over the skys of Requim a war had broke out and the covenant was forcing UNSC troops to evacuate ground forces to a Mysterious Island told to hold many secrets. the UNSC frigate STT2 - LoneStar was carrying a range of combat ready veicles and weaponry when it was hit by a covenant escort class cruiser and crash landed on the largest of these islands colliding with a small Outpost tasked with informing and readying all UNSC forces in the area of what lay ahead for them on Reqium. many Spartans and flight crew's were killed in the crash. Although STT2 - LoneStar will never see the thrill of battle again its 'Crash Site' provides a unique experience for all who dare return to scavenge what is left, but all who go into the mists have never returned. as the Frigate collided with the Outpost all comunications went down and covenant forces decended in Phantom class drop ships to eliminate any survivors of the crash but they were greated with an unpleasant and deadly foe, the nuclear reactor powering the frigates fusion drives had expoded and the radiaton had caused the spartans to mutate into what '117' found to be flood. these were not bound by a gravemind and were mindless saveges prone to the smell of flesh. the covenent were picked off fast and a distress call using UNSC proto type slip space comunications was sent strait to High command on the fighter class frigite, Infinity. they responded only imediatly and dispatched multiple squadrons to eliminate the flood threat and regain control of the island complex. the loss of the frigate the is the least of your problems as you and a small pocket of spartans are the only thing which stands between a break out of flood infections. many of you will not come back, but those if you that do, know this you will not return to high command as it is most likly we will be over thrown by the covenant fleet by your return... good luck to you all - Petty Officer John , UNSC infinity Link (before the crash): http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=8a74824a-b5a2-4494-a03d-e13c5ad618d6 Link (after the crash): http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=893677c6-a279-49c5-a861-9d8e86661b15 Flood game type: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/hordys8096/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=a210ee7a-c977-46e2-945b-05969bde0e02
12. Hey guys, I have brought you another new map. This time its based on an Abandoned railway station. Background story to this is an Earthquake has occurred in New Mombasa, this train station has been sealed off from rocks a dubree. During the abandonment of the railway flood have dwelled inside until now. Now your Spartan team need to eliminate them! 14. LAKE PLACID Download Link Lake Placid is set within the ravine on "Ravine." The idea is this. The entire middle area of the map is a lake. Along the cliff sides there are many different paths that you can take to get yourself up and away from the waters edge. The reason that you want to do this is because most of the flood's re-spawn points are deep below the "surface" of the lake. They will continue to float up and attack from beneath your feet as long as you are swimming around. They also have thruster packs. So they can shoot themselves through the "water" very quickly. If you are worried that this map might be unbalanced, or that there may be some impregnable hold out locations, don't be. I have spent countless days and weeks making sure that there are many different paths to every single spot on the map. It has been tested many times. Many of the routes out of the lake are easier, or exclusively possible for the flood. (due to their increased jump height) Elevating yourself will help, but you are never going to be anywhere near Safe. Especially if you are dealing with some quick thinking Flood... I have had a ton of fun testing out this map. It really creates the fear of having something deadly swimming around beneath your feet, and the rush of having to pull yourself out onto the dock seconds before the alligator, shark, or whatever else gets a hold of your ankle. If you are a fan of Jaws, Lake Placid, Anaconda, or any other water related horror movies, you are going to like this map.
15. Hello everyone! New member here who's been quietly forging away on his lonesome for the past couple of months. Just found this site and I figured I should get to know the rest of the Forging Community! so to start off my time here, I thought I'd share my most recent creation for you all to look over and pass judgement on, called Outpost 17: Map Name: Outpost 17 File Share: Outpost 17 File Share Gamertag: RECEPTOR 17 Canvas Map: Forge Island Last Updated: 05-18-2013 Tags: Forge Island, Slayer, FFA, CTF, KOTH, Regicide, Flood, Oddball, Outpost 17, BTB, RECEPTOR 17 Supported Gametypes: Team Slayer, BTB, Slayer FFA, Oddball, Capture the Flag, Flood, Regicide, King of the Hill Best Gametypes: Team Slayer, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Regicide Intended Team Sizes: 5v5, 6v6 + 8v8 Initial Ordnance: 1x Scattershot (180 Respawn) 1x Beam Rifle (210 Respawn) 1x Rocket Launcher (210 Respawn) 4x Pulse Grenade (90 Respawn) 2x SAW (150 Respawn) 1x Sticky Detonator (180 Respawn) 1x Concussion Rifle (180 Respawn) 2x Frag Grenade (90 Repsawn) 2x Plasma Grenade (90 Respawn) 1x Energy Sword (200 Respawn) 1x Railgun (180 Respawn) Random Ordnance: N/A Armor Abilities/Powerups on the Map: N/A Supported Vehicles: 4x Mongoose: 2 per team (120 Respawn) 2x Warthogs, Chaingun: 1 per team (160 Respawn) 1x Ghost: Middle of map (160 Respawn) Budget: 9680/10000 Screenshots: Map Flythrough/Overview Link: Outpost 17 Runthrough Map Description: The 17th creation made by Infinity’s Wargames simulations team, with added input from S-IV Fireteams “Trident” and “Crossbow”. This is a medium to large inversely symmetrical map on Forge Island's largest "Great Anvil, designed primarily for Team Slayer and Capture the Flag, however Flood, King of the Hill (with multiple Hills), Oddball, Infinity Rumble and Regicide are also supported. It can play anything from 2-8 players per team, but works best in a 5v5 - 8v8 range, due to the size and scope of the map. You have the chance to play some close quarters combat in the centre and inside Red and Blue Teams' starting bases, or you can enjoy some long range battles utilising the verticality of the map and some of the more open areas, where Vehicles roam free to cause mayhem. *+*+*+* So, there you have it folks, please do provide any constructive criticism/comments on Outpost 17, all are welcomed! I have 2 other Maps ready to submit another time, so I'm not spamming you with my creations, one is a small close combat oriented map designed for 4v4 Slayer, Rumble, Regicide and Oddball, whilst the other is designed for CTF, BTB and KOTH once again. I also have one arena style map in the works too which I hope to complete soon! Thanks for reading! 17 Out.

20. I enjoyed Silentium. Very good book, and very suspenseful as well. However, I felt it left some loose ends, and left many questions still unanswered. The whole Path Kethona thing felt detached from the storyline. How did that settlement of Forerunners get there? Whats the deal with all the empty Forerunner fleets and Precursor mumbo-jumbo? What exactly is that anchor thing, what is its purpose, and why is it there? But the biggest question still in my mind is: Where did the Forerunners go??? Was every single one of them consumed by the Flood or Halo? Or did some manage to get away? Did some possibly go live with the other Forerunners in Path Kethona? Maybe its just me, but I still feel empty as far as the Flood, Forerunners, Precursors, etc. I hope either Halo 5 and 6 cover this, or maybe more books will be released. Who knows? Maybe Infinity travels to Path Kethona and finds the Forerunner settlement? Oh and PS: Wasn't Infinity assembled in Path Kethona?? If so, why didn't the UNSC see any Forerunner or Precursor shenanigans such as empty ships and star roads?
21. Now, here me out. Though I fully believe that all remnants of Precursor technology are gone in this galaxy - this being the Halo fictitious one - wouldn't there be Precursor remains in the other galaxy the Librarian traveled too? It is mentioned she traveled to this other galaxy, saw 'star roads' and some other Precursor artifacts, along with ancient forerunner warships. Now onto my more pressing question. What if in the next few installments of the Halo games series, the flood returns - being precursors - and regains the use of their old neural physics technology? That would be a sight to see. The books described the creation of 'star roads' so vividly, I would love to see how they would make that on screen. Any thoughts? What would you guys think about them bringing in Precursor technology and giving the flood the use of it? Would it make the flood seem more mysterious, dark, ancient, incomprehensible? A more formidable enemy perhaps? Would it make for better games - in terms of campaign missions - ? Post away!!
22. Ever since Halo CE I have been interested in these Galactic scale Genocidal Weapons. Though to anyone who played Halo and enjoyed the campaign did I guess. Though even after reading all the books and learing all the lore I could since I started playing Halo CE, the workings of the rings kill everything mode still escape me. We know that they destroy the Flood by starving them, as well as destroying all Flood within range, this being explained this in game. But they have never shown this happen. Except for one small scene in one terminal of Halo CEA of a lizards arm dissolving. But that raised more questions than answers. It looked like the trees in the background were not harmed at all. That made me think of Cortana in Halo CE when she said it destroys all sentient life large enough to sustain the flood. But in games like Halo 2 and Halo Wars you can see Trees being consumed by the Flood for biomass. I always liked to believe that the rings sent out a huge pulse of radiation in the form of Hardlight that the Forerunners use so much that just burns every organic cell it touches leaving crispy blackened sterile planets. Does anyone know if this is correct or total crap that Im talking about here?
23. Map: Our Daily Bread Gametype: Hungry Disciples Description: Our Daily Bread is a linear Flood map set in a bread factory with two holdouts. Players spawn in a low set hall surrounded by walkways. The Flood instantly attack you from behind, then from the front. Push up the stairs and through the corridor before they can overrun you and make your way towards the first holdout; a huge atrium. Find a turret and a few shotguns and set up until the 1:30 mark. The Flood can attack from many angles, using the old conveyors high above the atrium and the strategically placed cover. If you survive until the door opens, push forward and aim for the final holdout. Staying strong right from the start is truly game changing. If you loose even one or two players early on, you will have a very hard time making it past the first holdout. But if you stick together, you just might reach the bountiful loafs you have been searching for. Our Daily Bread really is a very fun map to play with clean yet interesting aesthetics. It has dynamic features and a clear goal that promotes teamwork and coordination which is what I believe makes a great linear Flood map. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for taking a look.
24. I'll be brief. Sort of. Infection has been a staple since Halo 2. In Halo 4, it still garners a significant following--around 3,000 players on average. That's a lot of mouths to feed. Some people say it's nothing compared to the 37,000 it had at launch, but the numbers have stayed consistent after the dropout several weeks after the game's release. Right now, my opinion of the Flood playlist is not good. There are only a few maps in circulation; the players have memorized the camping spots, causing predictable rounds; the rounds are incredibly fast and don't have structure. We need an update for Flood. Here are my suggestions: -Set the number of players to 10-12. I'm not sure what it's at right now, but fewer players in each match will make it playable for a variety of game types. Speaking of which... -We need more game types. The current playlist has only the one with Flood shooting across the map with Thruster Packs and humans shooting across the map with Shotguns and Magnums. Have some variety! It's amazing what the community has come up with this time around. There are dozens of game types to change it up: Phagion, Necrosis, even Slenderman. Most people never get to play these awesome creations because it's too much of hassle to set up game nights, or maybe they don't want to play Flood in the first place because it's too monotonous. Speaking of monotonous... -Currently there are only eight maps in rotation for Flood: Solace, Adrift, Complex, Haven, Abandon, Landfall, Daybreak, and Perdition. Of those eight, most will only be able to play on the first five because the last three are DLC. Of those five, only Adrift and Abandon have the right ambiance for the game type. None of these maps is tailored specifically for Flood. Here's where the community comes in: there are dozens of solid Flood maps with outstanding aesthetics and balanced game play. To name a few: Shroom Plague, set above the acid pool on Erosion; Lone Spirit Pass, an excellent holdout-style map set on the beautiful Forge Island; Emerald Mine, a derelict mining colony gone horribly wrong. Other playlists get biweekly updates. Look at Team Throwdown; it's received the most attention out of all the playlists, yet it only attracts 650 players on average, significantly less than Flood. We need an update. Comment what you think, and don't forget to vote. Links: Shroom Plague -- ; Lone Spirit Pass -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKGknnSykvg ; Emerald Mine --
