  1. This is a summary of what features I think Halo Wars 2 should incorporate prior to launch. All other ideas and opinions are welcome. 1. Option to lock your troops up inside your base while being trained. This is an important feature if you are trying to protect your new units. 2. Keep the veteran feature. When a unit has been in battle and survived he can accumulate a set amount of stars making it progressively stronger. These are the only two I can think of right now... If I come up with more if possible I will update.
  2. Is this happening to anyone else? It started after an update and would never finish. I reinstalled the game and it was fine. Then it did an update and never finished again. I'm just waiting to see how updated it's going to get around here.
  3. In future updates of Reach, or the upcoming Halo 4, I would actually like to see more custom game options. For example, I would like to make a custom game where a player who aquires the custom power up keeps it till the end of the round, but there's no "infinite" for the time on custom power up options. Other people may want to make the colors of players more manipulatable, if that's a word... What would you like to see done to the Custom Game options list?
  4. Over the past couple of days there has been an avalanche of Xbox news that has come out of this years GamesCom, from reveals of Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Xbox exclusive deals and new bundles. But one piece of news that has gone unnoticed by many (myself included) is that the Xbox One will soon allow users to watch Movies and TV shows from USB devices or DLNA through a home network. One of Xbox's lead engineers, Ashley Speicher, talked about a list of features that will be coming soon to the Xbox One in future updates and one of those features is that it will be compatible with a long list of media file formats, some that are already compatible with the Xbox 360 and some that weren't before such as .mkv, gif's, and Mpeg 2TS. "Soon, Xbox One owners will be able to watch videos, listen to music, and browse photos from USB and DLNA with the most popular file formats, including Mpeg 2 TS, .MKV and animated gifs by the end of the year," Ashley Speicher said in an interview with Xbox Wire. This feature will come to great use to Xbox One owners as it offers a large list of supported files but may somewhat bring controversy as pirated content can be used. To get the full listed of supported file formats click the source link below. Another useful feature that is coming will allow users to view their friends, join parties, read messages and view achievements through snap mode, so there won't be any interruption while playing games or using apps. One of the other new features coming is called "Threaded Messages" what that does is that it allows users to view full conversation history it can also be done. There will also be an update to friends activities, users will be able to view the most played games their friends have been playing and a Gamerscore leaderboard will be coming which will allow gamers to compare how much their Gamerscore has gone up compared to their friends over the last 30 days. Are you looking forward to them? Leave a comment below. Source: Xbox Wire
  5. I believe they should fix these following issues on Halo: MCC. Get rid of "Halo 3" Game-mode, replace with "Halo 3 & 4 Grifball" The Sport that started it all. Get rid of "Halo 2 Anniversary Rumble" and replace with "Team Snipers" Add Halo 4 to Team Slayer Fix "Connecting Server" issue when players found and not able to connect to host. Find reliable host to connect to (Like above issue) before launching client. Nerf the Battle Rifle for gods sake (Halo 2 Anniversary) Fix the damage on the Halo 3 Battle Rifle (Up it) Add more preferences to Halo 3 & 4. I didn't just buy the game so I could play Halo 2. Branch out game types, instead of "Halo 3" (The most awkward reason to add that in... we'll never know) And make it so you can chose "Halo: CE / Halo 2 / Halo 3 / Halo 4" games with a variety of game types for said game. Make dedicated servers in the East & West of North America... please (If you don't already) I think that should please me. What about you? Discuss. If this happens, i'll dance like Duane.
  6. 1.Infection playlist. I know I am not the only one that likes to play a simple game of infection every now and then. Halo 4 had infection playlists so why not MCC. It would be a nice add on. 2.A Halo:CE playlist for multi-player. If you're anything like me you like the old stuff and all the old original Halo:CE maps are amazing! And I would love to see a playlist with only the Halo:CE maps in the roster. 3.Ability to promote other players to leader of group. This is a big one. All other halos have had this ability, but it seems to be missing here which sucks, because I like to give everyone a chance to host and be in control. 4.Ability to search for community maps and game types. I love custom games, and the halo community is the best when it comes to making them, but you can't get those maps or play them unless you know the person who made it or the person who has it on their console. Give us the ability to search for different game types and games for custom matches. THIS IS IMPORTANT. 5.Make forge in halo 3 just like forge in halo 4! This is another biggie. The forge in halo 4 is a lot easier to work with than the 2007 halo 3 forge. It is gonna turn people off from remaking amazing maps that were made in 2007-2009 in the MCC, which would suck because I remember spending hours just playing those said maps. 6. Add a playlist for action sack. These are community made games and game modes that are put for the pubic to enjoy and swapped every so often. This was in halo 3 and 4 so it would be a nice addition in MCC! 7.Add an on screen icon when a player is talking so we know who is talking at a given time. This is something that needs to happen! Like put a icon next to the players name when they talk! Please!!!! I know I am most likely missing some additions so if you have any ideas on how to make the game better then feel free to comment and I will add it to this list! Thanks!

  8. Halo Community, 343i, Microsoft, These last couple of weeks I have been looking for a place where it seems like 343i might be reaching out to the community and actually listening. However, I realize that the relationship between game consumer and creator has deteriorated. Microsoft has forgotten who made Halo popular. Let me remind you. It had NOTHING to do with you. Bungie stumbled upon a great game, and you know what they did? They made it better. Bungie worked with the community. They didn't stray from their roots and I always remember occasionally getting in a game with a Bungie employee or Frankie always making news updates and even see developers in the forums. Not anymore. In Fact, 343i think they did a good job. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. The community has always been what has supported Halo, hell it even made the Xbox what it is today. The only reason people bought the Xbox was for Halo, have you guys forgotten? Or do you think you did it by being a greedy, power hungry corporation? Sorry for the rant but this has been built up for awhile. I can say that I am genuinely emotionally attached to Halo. I remember seeing Halo CE when I was like 12 and immediately wanted an Xbox. The rest is history. I probably played Halo 2 Multiplayer since it came out until Halo 3. Countless hours of fun and joy. That is now completely gone from the game. I want nothing more than for 343i to succeed and make a game that will make me want to play but I am so demoralized by their incompetence I don’t even want to buy Halo 5 unless I know there are certain things implicated in matchmaking. What's even more sad is I am considering switching to PS4, which makes me hurt to even say that. It really isn't complicated, so stop making it. Games these days are a dime a dozen. Nothing lasts, nothing has true passion in the game anymore. It's all about money and I see it in almost every game I play. I am ashamed in the gaming community for even allowing this to go this far. If I could organize a boycott, I would. So yes, I am now switching my blame to Microsoft. Once they got their dirty little fingers on the game all I could do was sit back and watch it be destroyed little by little. Completely powerless. In the end, I realize this will hardly be read by anyone even of remote importance, but I digress. Here are my, (and from what I have read most of the community (by community I mean diehard, played since the beginning fans), suggestions for Halo 4: These are in no particular order: 1. Who, what, when where and why did anyone think it was a good idea to take out the competitive aspect? After reading this you should immediately go into Halo 4 matchmaking and put IN GAME ranking system. I don’t give two craps about what my guy looks like when I just domed a guy. Getting armor from XP and who can play the longest, really? It is a FPS I cant even see myself. Please, put ranking system back. 2.Maps. The maps were horrible! Maybe one or two that were kind of fun but getting boring very quick because that is all that plays. Then, you have the audacity to make us buy new map packs for maps that already should have been in the game!!! Let me give you guys a business tip: first make us love the game, then we won't have a problem buying anything you throw at us. If you just make crap and then expect us to almost immediately start buying more stuff. You drive everyone away. Now you have A) less money and smaller fan base. Good job. 3. I’m sorry, I will admit that I wanted to see AA. Unfortunately they did not work very well and has driven most everyone away. They need to be severely nerfed. If someone had said to me while playing halo 3: in the future you'll be able to fly and see through walls and have unlimited camo. I would just laugh in their face! It ruined what was Halo, please please please get rid of them. They were cool for a second. 4. Lastly, the weapons. A big WTF. Why is every weapon so strong? I swear I played a game today where everyone had a SAW. That weapon literally is one of the worst things to happen to Halo. Not because of the weapon itself, but because you choose to have it on every map and have it spawn ALL the time. WTF. Another match the sword kept respawing every what seemed like 30 seconds. Literally 4 people were running around with them. I thought I had picked the wrong playlist. Please, less is more. I like the innovation but CONTROL it. If any of you have actually made it this far, then I am surprised. All I want is 343i to succeed and I want Halo to be popular again. I want to play so much online that I can not get off at night. Where me and my friends keep saying one more game. I want to be able to come home from a long day and enjoy what I am playing, not be frustrated. So please open your eyes, realize what made Halo popular. Go to your roots. Sincerely, Frustrated P.S. I will be posting this in multiple locations in hopes that it gets read by people who can make a difference. I have done my part as a fan. If you want my money in the future, do your part. Also, if anyone has any emails or other ways for going directly to the developing team, please let me know or forward this to them.
  9. I just wanted to ask, what's the bright idea behind smashing the playlists together? Was it really so difficult to keep up on a separate big team playlists? I'm just curious as to the new updates on the Halo 4 frontier as this is a very disappointing game on the multiplayer flip side. I'm not here to start a fight as I am generally curious as to what the meaning is behind this. I understand games have to evolve to keep up with the current gaming demands but we all loved being able to chose between Big Team Slayer and Big Team Objective! I understand that people want to have more variety in their gaming experience but this is why there was a general assortment of playlists, as different as they were. Are you truly making a large portion of us chose between Halo 3, Reach before 4 even comes into play? I call shenanigans! And now with the new DLC, don't get me started on that... Season pass my a$$. Pardon my language Yours faithfully Halo, XxxHarley
  10. Hey there everyone, first and foremost I'd just like to say THANK YOU 343industries, for (clearly) spending alot of time, resources and talent on making Halo 4 such a wonderful game. This is the first time I've used these forums but I am a long time Halo fan, I've been playing Halo since Halo: CE came out in 2001, when I was 10years old. I'm a bit of a fanboy but was pretty dissapointed in Halo Reach and I am utterly thrilled to see the direction that 343i and Halo 4 is and should be taking. And I really hope you guys get a lot of awards and praise from old fans and new, you guys deserve it. Because the game is so polished I don't really have any complaints, but here are a few suggestions I'd like to see implemented into Halo 4 and/or Halo 5. (I hope you guys check your forums like Bungie did). *Story length: I found the campaign to be a bit on the short side, I'm not too dissapointed because the story was exellent and very well paced and I know Spartan Ops continues the story somewhat. But I hope you guys make Halo 5 a little longer. *Emblems: There is not enough. *Spike Grenades: If/when Brutes make a return in Halo 5 or 6, please bring Spike Grenades back, they're unique and you can setup traps around corners with them. *Meta Game and Leaderboards for it: It would add alot of replayability if you guys added the ability to turn on the Meta Game in Spartan Ops and Campaign and maybe you could implement a friends leaderboards along with it. *Ranking System: I feel that currently, there is no ranking system, because it is only based on how much EXP you have, this is also not unique, as pretty much every modern shooter has this style. You guys should implement a secondary ranking system like Halo 3's 1 - 50. *Skulls: I was dissapointed to see that all of the Skulls are unlocked by default, it's much more fun if you have to unlock them and find them in the campaign first. *Please add clan support. *Please add theatre for Campaign and Spartan Ops. *Hunters should be twice the size and much more powerful, once you kill the first one and break the spirit bond the other should fly into an overwhelming rage. *Pre-order bonuses/Collector's edition: I don't like when companies have pre-order bonuses because it just means everyone misses out on something. Please don't do pre-order bonuses again, or atleast include all of them in the Collector's Edition. *Legendary Edition: I was dissapointed you guys didn't have one, please make one for Halo 5 and if you do you shouldn't just throw in a statue, do something like a suicidal grunt holding a bomb which is an alarm clock. Cheers.
  11. I'll be brief. Sort of. Infection has been a staple since Halo 2. In Halo 4, it still garners a significant following--around 3,000 players on average. That's a lot of mouths to feed. Some people say it's nothing compared to the 37,000 it had at launch, but the numbers have stayed consistent after the dropout several weeks after the game's release. Right now, my opinion of the Flood playlist is not good. There are only a few maps in circulation; the players have memorized the camping spots, causing predictable rounds; the rounds are incredibly fast and don't have structure. We need an update for Flood. Here are my suggestions: -Set the number of players to 10-12. I'm not sure what it's at right now, but fewer players in each match will make it playable for a variety of game types. Speaking of which... -We need more game types. The current playlist has only the one with Flood shooting across the map with Thruster Packs and humans shooting across the map with Shotguns and Magnums. Have some variety! It's amazing what the community has come up with this time around. There are dozens of game types to change it up: Phagion, Necrosis, even Slenderman. Most people never get to play these awesome creations because it's too much of hassle to set up game nights, or maybe they don't want to play Flood in the first place because it's too monotonous. Speaking of monotonous... -Currently there are only eight maps in rotation for Flood: Solace, Adrift, Complex, Haven, Abandon, Landfall, Daybreak, and Perdition. Of those eight, most will only be able to play on the first five because the last three are DLC. Of those five, only Adrift and Abandon have the right ambiance for the game type. None of these maps is tailored specifically for Flood. Here's where the community comes in: there are dozens of solid Flood maps with outstanding aesthetics and balanced game play. To name a few: Shroom Plague, set above the acid pool on Erosion; Lone Spirit Pass, an excellent holdout-style map set on the beautiful Forge Island; Emerald Mine, a derelict mining colony gone horribly wrong. Other playlists get biweekly updates. Look at Team Throwdown; it's received the most attention out of all the playlists, yet it only attracts 650 players on average, significantly less than Flood. We need an update. Comment what you think, and don't forget to vote. Links: Shroom Plague -- ; Lone Spirit Pass -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKGknnSykvg ; Emerald Mine --
  12. So folks just thought I would update you guys on what I read on Halowaypoint bulletin. The long awaited Grifball is coming 1/28! I know a lot of people cant wait to play it and I am one of them. They hope that Grifball will stay a permanent playlist due to its high demand and popularity. The playlist will come with multiple Grifball modes and courts New episode of Spartan Ops is coming out as well on Monday (episode 7). Engineer and Stalker are the two specializtions being released. The Community Forge test is going to stay until February 4th which will then be replaced by.... can you guess? And last but not least the CSR update. The "target date" is April. The following details were given • You will have a unique CSR visible per playlist. • Your highest CSR across all playlists will be promoted in the player profile on Halo Waypoint. • CSR uses familiar 1-50 scale. • When CSR launches, everyone will start with a fresh rating. So thats sums up the bulletin what is everyones thoughts on the upcoming updates? If you want to read the whole thing you can click here http://blogs.haloway...etin-12313.aspx
  13. HEY!!!! lets get 343 to add in hornets, pelicans and what not!!! whos with me??? FOR SPARTA!!!!!!
  14. When are 343 getting back from holiday?? just asking because Halo 4 is basically a train wreck ATM. I do hope, Frankie and Kiki and the rest of 343 are having a great time in the sun... but you have got a job to do fixing this game you have the cheek to call Halo. Firstly the game was sloppily put together, if you the common sense to have a beta maybe there would be so much issues and people could actually connect and actually play the game, well I guess that would send even more complainers to the forums. Next is the file share system, or lack of one... we know you have taken so many options out of the file-share browser. Just like the rest of Halo 4. So whats the wait, your quick to shove your poxy crimson Map pack and Spartan flops in our faces so why can't you listen to the fans and give us what we want. Just for once. Your killing the whole of the forging community. Just saying. When I get bored of war games... (Which doesn't take long) I love to play custom games, May I ask you 343 what have you done with the "Custom" part of Custom games?? I can't find it anywhere, Options?? Nope. Settings?? Nope. Forge??? No Chance. What planet are you guys on ? If 343 are on holiday please accept my apology, Just tell me when 343 are going to be back in business and start fixing this half finished game. Because the game if full if glitches and bugs and the game as so many broken features: Scoring system broken "Death Cams" broken Alpha Zombie broken Custom load outs broken Flood customistion problems Connection problems Network problems Weapon balance Map flow problems No ranking system No File share Poor forge maps No precision editing Forge bugs and glitches Declining population EDIT: NO RACE WTF!! There are so many more to name but I'll be here until next week. Discuss.
  15. 343 needs to make an update or DLC with a forge world map and some UNSC air vehicle instead of just the Covenant having the banshee there should be the hornet or falcon
  16. First of all i'm gonna start of by saying that i did love halo 4 however i see that basic stuff is missing and i know 343 can't satisfy all the community but i do think if they can add anything that i mention hopefully a lot more people will be satisfied stuff they should start of by doing these things. 1. Add a lot of playlist types i mean it would be some much more enjoyable if it didn't only take like a little more or less than a hour to play every playlist that is on the game. Add things like : -1v1, 2v2 for people who want to form a team or go at it alone -muti team - shotty snipers -definatly more objective game types -coop campagin matchmaking -add firefight back and allow people to make firefight maps in forge -add bots for people who don't always play online or who don't have xbox live and just dont allow people to rank up through it - make a place where people can go to a matchmaking playlist and find custom maps made by other people and game types so that people who just want to mess around can find people - and more that i failed to mention 2.Next i think that 343 should add a flashback map pack because the maps that came with the game are good but there were so few and when searching in the playlists the same maps occur way too much and gets old but the maps should include... -guardian- mainly because it was an amazing map and perfectly balanced and would be awesome to use all the new addition to the game on it -sand trap- for big team, etc. - high ground - last resort -rat's nest -construct -foundry Maybe make it a 8 map pack add-on or just be awesome and redo the maps like in halo anniversary then give them to everyone The more maps a game has its not going to get as boring plus a lot more people will enjoy having those maps back 3.One of the last things i think should be added is the ability to use customizable skins for weapons and guns for people who have specialized or some other way but that would make the game a lot more enjoyable and make the guns and armor the players have are unique or at least close to unique.
  17. they hav left alot of stuff out of aniversary that thery really should have kept in it from combat evolved
