  1. Hi everyone, Spartan here with Site Poll 99. Last week I asked you all what your favourite novel/comics were, the victory goes to The Fall of Reach. I'm not surprised that TFoR came out on top, though I did think it would be close. Strong competitors were First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx. Despite all Halo novels being great, Nylund's three were the most voted for. Click here to view Site Poll 98, and here for the Twitter responses. Thel 'Vadam vs Ripa 'Moramee? This is is not a poll for who you like more, it's for who you think would win in a duel. Any weapon(s) may be selected, but both warriors must have the same weapon(s). Assume both are the same age in this duel. There have been many threads and videos on this before, but I want to see what members of this community think, especially in this day and age. There are advantages each Elite has over the other, and they're both exceptional Sangheili, but who do you think would win? Let me know how you think it'll play out and why. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  2. Agent Locke's voice sounds really off and I feel like it's going to ruin HALO5: Guardians. Is there anybody else who agrees? I know it's probably late to change the voice, but I mean c'mon agent Locke sounds like he's trying so hard to have a deep voice. Makes HALO look like a child's game. Master Chief worked too damn hard for agent Locke to ruin the game with his wannabe MAN voice.
  3. If the Arbiter does come back in Halo 5, what, if any, role do you think he will have in the campaign? I think he could be a non-playable character that partners with Chief in certain missions
  4. Considering you read the title, I'm pretty sure you know what this is. I've just been overwhelmed with homework and no sleep and stuff, that I just can't find any time for anything else. I don't know when I'm coming back, hopefully soon, and hopefully I'll feel better. Bye guys!! I'll be back!!
  5. With Halo 2: Anniversary (and MCC) coming out this November, I thought we could look back and think of our very favorite missions from the 15(13) mission long campaign of Halo 2. Halo 2's campaign offered some very fun moments, and with it some great memories. What missions did you find the most enjoyable, had the greatest moments, or were just plain fun and became your favorites? For me, I would vote for the two missions: High Charity and Metropolis. High Charity was one of my favorites because of the sheer chaos of the entire mission. Brutes, Elites, Flood, and other Covenant troops all battling it out as the Great Schism of the Covenant happens right before your eyes. The chaos gives way to very fun battles to watch, and a mesh of fights you can join into yourself and kick some Covenant butt. Metropolis is loved by me for about a couple things. Scarab Gun, The fight on top of the scarab, Scorpion, and loads of other vehicular man(alien)slaughter events. A close second to these two would be Uprising. Killing Monkeys was never so much fun...
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-PtjomjQ-Y This trailer was released today on HaloWaypoint's channel. It would seem that the terminals will be set around Arbiter's life before meeting Master Chief, and his troubling deeds from the past. Also we now know the true full name of the Spartan with Arbiter, which is Jameson Locke. So what did you think? You like?
  7. Greetings, my name is Seru 'Vintaree; Sangheili Officer of the Retributions Thunder; an all Sangheili clan on Halo: Reach. With Halo 4 being such a bad game, many fans have come back on to Halo: Reach and have re-initiated past clans to give them another go on the returning instalment. Same here. We are full with tenacious, competent and able warriors and we enjoy doing everything that is related and revolved around Halo. We also enjoy playing on other games. However, these do not count as clan matches or events. As of today, our Empire has acclaimed well over six hundred victories since Reach began, we hope to double this by the end of it. Like many Sangheili clans we have the canon Sangheili ranks which can be seen in the Halo Campaigns, but we also run under a Separatist system which means we can add any ranks we deem necessary. It does not matter what knowledge level you have, as you can easily learn the easy way by listening to what we have to say, or take the route of Halo wiki. Our training sessions thoroughly improve our warriors as we have some fantastic trainers which will get you up to scratch in no time. We also enjoy doing raids, the more the better, whichever side; opposing or defending. We aren't serious, we don't do MLG. It is just like creating a sport for Xbox, truly pathetic. We do however take much regard to BTB. What we offer: > Competitive ranking system. > Great friends and companions. > Matchmaking. > Custom games & Forge. > Training sessions. > Mature commanders and officers. > Raids (Capturing and defending). > Mature opinions and votes. > Chances to become what you want. > Opportunity to improve at Halo and to become a better player. > The ability to gain additional knowledge about the Halo universe. > Fun-loving team-mates that will support you and help you in any way possible. > We have a good sense of humour, so it isn't always serious... > Vacation and recreational time in which you can spend in whichever manner suits you. > The ability to join something and become a part of a everlasting legacy. Pre-requites: > Must have mature and respectful attitude towards superiors. > Must have a sense of humour. > Must be Lt. Colonel or above (Can be wavered). > Must play Halo regularly. > Must play with the clan regularly. > Must not be affiliated with another clan. > Must wear fleet uniform and fleet emblem whilst with the clan. > Must have some knowledge of discipline and respect, honour and loyalty. > Must be of 13 or above years of age (Can be wavered).> Must be able to listen and adhere to orders given by superiors. > MUST HAVE A MICROPHONE, OR BE ABLE TO TYPE INCREDIBLY FAST! Thank you for reading this, and considering a placement within our Empire; whether you want to show your democratic skills or your commanding skills, to your piloting skills or the ability to guard something well, your skills will be well appreciated in this fleet, whatever they are. We do disciplinary training for those who need it and for those who fail in their line of combat. This may seem pointless, but it gets our warriors disciplined so they know not to fail next time. On top of this, we have combat training on one of our training grounds. Here, we train our warriors to become the best at what they do. This fleet has plenty to do, and if you want to become better, this is the place to do it.If you would like more information, on how to join to fill your curious minds, PM me or post back to this thread, with your gamertags and in full detail why you would like to join. Thank you.Hope to see you on the battlefield warriors! Message me at I Seru I on Xbox. 8. Do you really want to spend the next two games playing as Team Crimson and let Majestic get all the great cutscenes? No, probably not - and neither do I. So how's about some diversity? Elite Ops? ODST Ops? All three? Definitely! Here I will explain how it will all go down, along with some touch ups on other things and ideas. In this thread I will include: - Arbiter's spot in campaign - Elite/ODST/Spartan Ops - ODSTs and Elites in multiplayer - Covenant Separatist immersion to Halo 5 - Canon characters in Ops missions - Cutscenes - Warfronts game variant (Firefight replacement) Spartan/ODST/Elite Ops In depth details: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/26808-spartaneliteodst-ops-in-depth-details/ So Halo 5 is supposedly the darkest of the Halo games, and it's up to us to make sure that it keeps that title. So let's break down what threats could possibly lie ahead. Dr. Halsey and Jul M'Dama have part of an artifact that can map all forerunner technology out there. In other words the halo rings have all been compromised. That's more flood in our sense, and who knows if the other oracles went rampant over the years. So that's Jul M'Dama, Dr. Halsey, the flood, sentinels, and the other oracles. On top of all this there are other rogue Covenant fleets out there who like to get involved in such things, and not to mention the prophets may have a part in what will come about in the future. That also means more brutes, whether be wild and barbaric or still guarding hidden prophets. According to the wiki the prophets seemingly just disappeared, hint hint. 1) Jul M'Dama 2) Dr. Halsey 3) Halo rings 4) Flood 5) Sentinels/Oracles 6) Covenant 7) Prophets/Brutes Wow. So Chief is most likely on Earth living in retirement, still hoping for a chance to see Cortana. Oh btw, did some fans out there speculate that the Didact still lives? Of course this is just a possibility, and the Promethean homeworld Requiem no longer exists, but; Cortana 9) Didact/Prometheans And whoever these guys are; 10) Precursors All these are likely to happen in Halo 5. What do we do now? Look up to the prophets, should they return? Form a truce (the enemy of my enemy is my friend)? Or is everything going to clash together in Halo 6? Or a better idea; start the Great Journey (if you know what I mean). This thread probably didn't need all of that listed, but they are reasons why my first idea (aka everyone's idea) is to allow the Arbiter to have a spot in Halo 5's campaign. Perhaps even a mission (at least one) dedicated to the Arbiter. Maybe the first mission would be satisfying, considering he'd get involved with the events before Chief does. ______________ Elite Ops/ODST Ops/Spartan Ops (I wouldn't exactly call it Elite and ODST Ops, but rather ODST-something and Separatist-something or Elite-something) These campaigns would probably make Halo 5 FAR superior than Halo 4 and maybe even Halo 6. Basically you have three separated campaigns where you get to control as your Spartan, ODST or Elite in their own missions across the galaxy. They each have their own stories. And here's a little twist I'd add in if I were 343 adding this to the game; Halo is known for super epic last missions right? How's about the three Ops campaigns would have the last mission or episodes converge together. So you can fight alongside Crimson with your ODST or Elite characters, and your friends might like to be a different character. Wouldn't that be epic?! This trend would also continue through Halo 6 if everyone likes it, kinda like the warthog thing with Chief. Here is a more recent thread dedicated to just Elite/ODST/Spartan Ops and its technical matters: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/26808-spartaneliteodst-ops-in-depth-details/ ODSTs and Elites in Multiplayer Everyone wants this to happen, I know. And it's pretty straight forward. I'm going to leave it up to the community to decide what armors they could use, but we'd all agree that they'd get just as much customization as Spartans do. ODST armour would likely be as follows; - Helmet (option to take off?) - Helmet attachments - Face options - Shoulders - Chest - Knees - Miscellaneous - Visors Not everyone wants to be a superhuman, so ODST sizes are generally smaller than the average Spartan. In multiplayer, they would have the same health as Spartans and Elites, but their sprint would be much more within human grasp. They are much slower with the sprint. However, they would get the visor upgrade from Halo 3: ODST, likely with a daytime and night version. Possibly on the down and right arrows on the d-pad, unless customized. There would be uses for the night visor in dark maps and maybe one or two Ops missions. The daytime version would help for general use. If 343 can't seem to make a daytime version, then that should be fine. Elite armour would likely be as follows; - Helmet (option for none?) - Helmet attachments? - Shoulders - Chest - Knees - Miscellaneous - Back attachments/armour? Elites would be just about equivalent to Spartan gameplay, however they would possibly have something distinct about them. And maybe their jetpacks would have different meshes than the humans'. Or maybe a totally different item added to the game (Covenant jetpack). Separatist Immersion to Halo 5 You know how you can change the colour of your mongoose for races right? Well since the Covenant Separatists are a different form of Covenant, that would include colour variants for Covenant vehicles. In Halo 3 their phantoms were green to represent allies to the player. That was in a dire and quick situation to move away from the Covenant and not confuse the humans too much. It's been over 4 years since that, and the community and 343 has the chance to make their colours more distinct (and cool-looking too). Maybe they could have developed their own new vehicle over the years? The Separatists are not an intimidating group of Covenant, so the grunts and elites need not to have what we've seen in normal Covenant. Well, these guys are the normal ones. So here is a brief list of what should be done for fan input to make the Separatist a rather epic group of people; - Grunt/Hunter/Elite distinct armour redesigns and variants - Distinct vehicle redesigns - Perhaps a brand new vehicle added in - Distinct weapon skins/designs There is a thread about Bocaj1000's reaper design, and maybe we could elaborate/debate on that (if 343 hasn't already done so). When Halo 4 was about to come out, I made a thread suggesting how a grunt would look for the Separatists. I took the Heretic designs and sort of made it look like an ODST-like grunt. The Separatists don't treat their grunts as "canon fodder", so those who are on the field are actual specialists with their weapon of choice. The rest just deal with work elsewhere, or become citizens on planets (imagining a grunt bartender on Earth lol). Most would be trained to fight. In my design I made sure that a grunt's methane tank was more light on their backs, designed so they can once again freely climb trees and such with no hauling of a 40 pound tank wherever they go. The new design makes the tank feel more like a backpack with just a thin binder inside. Their breather is also designed to allow their face to fully show for expressions they wish to make. The grunt in my design just so happened to a human-like hat to give him more of a personality, because he is a soldier - and his head wouldn't look as bare. But if a grunt is stationed for space or requires more armour, they would have helmets and such on them. Maybe the Separatist grunt would have pants? And sleeves and shirts? But under their armour. I wouldn't give the average grunt some shoes though, because they like to have their feet to climb and grip. Also keep in mind that Separatist grunts are more focused with the plan, seeing that the ones that fight with you are more specialized for their position. The Reaper: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/24123-the-reaper-the-covenant-mantis/ The Grunt (there are loopholes in this thread's lore. I will recopy their pictures and weapon loadouts here): https://forums.halowaypoint.com//yaf_postst104677_Halo-4--The-Arbiter-s-Grunts--Separatists.aspx The Separatist grunt pictures: Heretic grunt overlay - http://i49.tinypic.com/rbxl40.jpg Halo 4 grunt overlay - http://i47.tinypic.com/cuvj5.jpg Infantry Battle: Carbine/Needler/Plasma Rifle? (new weapon designed for automatic rifles for grunts?) Infantry Heavy: Fuel Rod/Needler Scout: Beam Rifle/Needler Those grunts will be happy to hunt down some Kig-Yar. There would probably be approximately two variants for a grunt's armour for each type of fighter; be infantry, scout, piloting a vehicle, or handling a turret. If I were 343 I'd make two for infantry battle, one for heavy, two for scout, one for turret, and one for pilot. If there are any grunt citizens in Halo 5 there would be variants for them, as well. Ops Canon Characters Or should I say, Separatist canon characters. This is to avoid your team completely missing out on the cutscenes, and not even be able to fight with your favourite characters. This idea for Halo 5 fixes that. In Elite and/or ODST Ops, there could be some Separatist characters - likable - and with cool personalities. For example, your Elite team may spend more than a few missions fighting with these two hunters. It's been a long time since we've seen a hunter ally in Halo. The players would love this. And remember that these guys are canon, so they have a role in the plot. And for the ODSTs I was planning on introducing a squad leader. A player can't exactly take this position, and it would be better for cutscenes. Therefore in ODST Ops there could be one or two NPC characters in your squad. But that is up to the community to decide. An Ops team in Halo is meant to be player driven. But if you'd like to fight with an NPC in your own squad that would be nice. Two teams could be fighting on the same mission as well, just as much that the last mission or episode would join the three Ops campaigns. It would definitely help for NPCs having a more local voice with the situations. Oh and, some likable grunts deserve a spot in Halo 5. These canon characters all should be given names. Your ODST squad may come with relations with another squad for cutscene appearance and such. However, the Halo 5 storyline might say otherwise. Ops Cutscenes Would you prefer the Halo Reach approach, or the Halo 4 approach? Awesome graphics are great, but they aren't a necessity to us. Does anyone agree with me that the Halo 4 cutscenes should be for campaign, and only the beginning and the end of the Ops stories (the very beginning and ends)? That way the player's team would have the Halo Reach approach between missions. Placement of your friends may be a complication for the cutscenes, but maybe they could have a silent role or not appear in the cutscenes. ***OR*** Based on the voice the player chose while customizing their character, that would be the voice actor for their cutscenes. And whether you are player 1, 2, 3 or 4 would decide whether you'd be the player leaning on the railing looking at the view, or the one who is discussing what to do in the next mission with the other player, while your commander is in the hologram communicator. This would allow an infinite possibilities of how your player interacts with the players in the cutscenes. Now you don't need an NPC to be your squad leader - however one would be great, and your Elite team would be able to interact with the shipmaster and perhaps those hunters you made friends with in the previous mission. Warfronts Here's something different for Halo. When I thought of this idea I was immediately reminded of Star Wars Battlefront. Remember those PS2 games that had SO much success with their game types, and then just suddenly disappeared when the PS3 came out? It's been a long time since we've had a taste of a battlefront (Battlefield's territory game type is similar, but just isn't the same). What Warfronts offer is like a territory game type, but with more twists to it. Firefight was during the time when humanity was being hunted down for extinction, and waves of Covenant would be sent in until all humans are dead. That time is over. Now when there is a fight going on we take control. I find it really hard to explain this in this thread, it's much more developed in my head lol. But a stage would be divided into 5 or 7 sections. The player would have to eliminate the enemies in a section and take over the territory, before taking control. Once that base is yours, based on how long you've been holding that section you will be provided with more tools to help you along the way. Halo games have the tendency to generate epic experiences by having UNSC ships and pelicans dropping off warthogs and even scorpians to aid you with what lies ahead. In Halo 3 when Forward Unto Dawn came in with the scorpians it was epic. Yes, I keep using the word epic. Editing the Warfront You can choose whether you want to fight alongside Covenant Separatists or the UNSC. You can also choose which faction you and your friends can fight against. Enemies would be Covenant Loyalists or Brutes/Prometheans/Flood if they are in Halo 5. Based on the faction you face the way they provide aid for their teams would be different. For example, Covenant Loyalists would have anti-air turrets and phantoms giving support, while flood can only provide infantry. Brutes would be able to provide choppers and prowlers, but no Covenant vehicles or turrets. Prometheans can also only provide infantry. Maps Maps would be different than the average multiplayer map. These ones are more objective related and have larger areas. They are not able to be edited in Forge, but they can be edited through settings. There could be one map made exclusively for each faction you face, like a flood map made for facing flood. Calling in Support Once you take over the middle territory you will be given a(or some) scorpian or some Separatist wraiths and some other vehicles. They also come with more reinforcements. Enemies do the same. Midpoint reinforcement: UNSC - 2 scorpians, 2 warthogs, 5 infantry. Covenant Separatists - 2 wraiths, 2 ghosts, 5 infantry. Covenant Loyalists - 2 wraiths, 3 ghosts, 2 squads of infantry. Brutes - +5 infantry at home section. Flood - +10 infantry at home section. Prometheans - +5 infantry at home section. Limits There are limits as to how many of what can be fighting at one time: Pelicans/Phantoms - 2 Scorpians - 3 (+2 after midpoint) Wraiths - 6 (+2 after midpoint) Ghosts - 10 (+2 after midpoint) Warthogs - 6 (+2 after midpoint) Banshees - 10 Hornets - 4 (+1 after midpoint) Infantry - 25 (+5 after midpoint) (players don't count) Choppers - 4 (+2 after midpoint) Prowlers - 2 (+2 after midpoint) When you call in support, you can call in certain things based on how long you've been holding a certain section of the warfront. If you meet the requirements at a certain section, you can (kind of) buy the support you require to spawn via drop off at that place. Times required: Pelican/Phantom - 5 minutes Scorpian (+ infantry) - 10 minutes Wraith (+ infantry) - 7 minutes Ghost (+ infantry) - 5 minutes Warthog (+ infantry) - 5 minutes Banshee(x2) - 5 minutes Hornet(x2) - 5 minutes Infantry - 2 minutes Spawn at start: 1 Pelican/Phantom 1 Scorpians/2 Wraiths 2 Warthogs/3 Ghosts 2 Hornets/2 Banshees 10 Infantry Lasting Stand If a home (spawn) base is the last one left and is under attack, then they will be continuously sending in reinforcements until you have taken over their base and eliminated all of their spawn. Brutes do not do this because they don't have a huge army. Turrets spawn in enemy bases at the start of the match, and they own all but the first and second sections at the start. Covenant Loyalists have two spots for anti-air cannons at the home base. The player's team does not. Oh and, you can control as Spartan, ODST and Elite regardless if you are fighting with the Separatists or the UNSC. The time limit is unlimited until someone wins. Ops NPCs After reading this a few times and researching a bit I've decided to make this a section for the thread. By Ops NPCs I mean teammates within your team. For example, what if you never played as Crimson in Halo 5 and you'd have a different fireteam that has an NPC or two in it. Elite Ops would probably have an episodic way of who you're fighting with. One mission you're with a squad with grunts and hunters and an elite, the next you're with a skilled elite. The next maybe with hunters and probably alone after that. ODST is controversial to me. The squad could have a leader NPC and maybe a second character, but it wouldn't feel the same as being in charge of your own mission. Here's a short list of canon characters to add to Ops missions: - 1 ODST leader (optional) - 2 ODST members (optional) - Entire squad to fight alongside with (optional) - Two hunters - Some canon grunts - A few elites to fight with - The shipmaster (and others on board) - Another recognizable fireteam of spartans Now let's put all the good things together from this thread, based on if they are good. The video animated cutscenes would be made for campaign exclusively, with the first and last videos of the Ops campaigns being videos, too. Then there would be another ODST squad to fight with and see in a few cutscenes. There now we don't need NPCs in your squad. Your elite team will fight with two hunter characters, a few grunts and also some elites. Each will have names and recognizable personalities. If Chief is with Separatists in campaign then some of them will be characters, too. And based on which player is 1, 2, 3 or 4 (and which voice they chose for their characters) will decide who does what in the cutscenes - and maybe decide who the squad leader is. Oh and shall we add a few marine canon characters out there (meet with them in the midst of a level)? Maybe just one mission in campaign or ODST Ops. 343 wants to expand the universe with recognizable characters, so this is a great start. So with the above paragraph here is the revised list of characters: - The players - An ODST squad - A marine squad - 2-5 elites - A spartan fireteam - Two hunters - Some grunts - Elite Ops shipmaster - Some elites, grunts, and a hunter or two for Arbiter and possibly Chief to fight with in campaign (mostly elites). It would be great if the community debated if we should have NPCs in our Ops teams. Just a yes or no would help. And that's that. I think. Ask questions if you'd like I'd be happy to answer them. _______ Questions to answer in the comments: Should Warfronts come with space battles? (Covenant Loyalist battles only) Should there be any new vehicles for Halo 5? As in brand new? Should there be any Separatist allies in campaign? If so, should Chief be fighting alongside Separatist grunts and hunters, too? Should the Arbiter be giving out missions in Elite Ops? Or should it be a shipmaster? If so, should the Arbiter have at least a voice in Elite Ops? Should Sanghelios appear in Halo 5? Help spread the word of this forum topic! It would greatly be helpful for making it successful if you want these ideas to be a part of Halo 5!
  9. Since the release of the the comic series Halo: Escalation there has been much discussion regarding the first appearance of the Arbiter since the ending of Halo 3, and his very noticeable aesthetic change in his armor. But this is about what some people might not have noticed, and that is the return of two classic Elite armor sets, Ascetic and Assault. To the right of Arbiter is an Elite in Ascetic Armor. And at the far top right of the panel is an Elite in Assault Armor. The return of these two armor sets tell us several things, these being that other classic armor sets such as Commando, Combat, and Flight may return as usable armor sets in Multiplayer if Elites return as playable character, which would make sense within the War Games Canon as Separatist Elites could train against Spartan IVs if alliances between the UNSC and the Separatists remain intact. Or Separatist allies may utilize these armor sets in Campaign to help distinguish them from the Storm enemies. Another possibility emerges as well, since the Separatist Elites utilize older armor sets, they may still use older weapons such as the Plasma Rifle or Brute weapons, or they may use older vehicles such as the Spectre, the Revenant, or older, more classic versions of current Covenant vehicles.
  10. This is something I want 343 to see and read, to take notes on what we the community what in Halo 5. So if any member of 343 reads this, although it is highly unlikely, please tell us out of everything in this list tell us what can and cannot be done on this list as there is a brand new Engine used in Halo 5 and it may not be capable of putting some of the stuff mentioned on this list in the game itself Halo 5 Multiplayer & Firefight [updated] Made by The RZI Guy All of these are the changes I made to the list, if you have any other suggestions, and if I like them, I will update it and give you credit for your awesome ideas. So if you like it and even if you don't like it, or want a few changes, please give me your thoughts so we can possibly make Halo 5 the best it can be. One person does not make a game, one Company does not make a game, it is a collaberation of many great minds who work out there thoughts and visions for something and make it into reality. [Thanks to Pureeey for some of his ideas, and corrections for what Halo 5 Multiplayer should be.] Thel' Vadamee Returns Not even a Multiplayer idea, but please bring Thel' Vadam The Arbiter back in Halo 5's Campaign and give him a role instead of being there for "just" the love of the fans! Halo: Escalation will be coming out in 1 month and that might be there way of bringing Arby into Halo 5. Lets hope so. Halo 2 Anniversary I think that after they make and release Halo 5 next year, they should make a Campaign DLC add on. Think about it, Halo 5 is coming out 10 years after Halo 2, so what if 343 actually made a Halo 2 Anniversary Campaign DLC for Halo 5, there would no multiplayer like they did with Halo: Anniversary, just a Full HD remake Halo 2's Campaign, this will bring Hundreds of Thousands of Halo Players back to Halo 5 to relive the glory days of Halo 2. Multiplayer Gameplay Halo 5 on the Xbox One has both Social and Ranked Playlists make a return with Custom Loadouts being in the Social Playlist. Both Custom Loadouts, like Halo 4 but "without armor abilities or perks" and also have Equipment being scattered around the map return. Preset Loadouts like with Halo: Reach but without armor abilities and instead having Equipment scattered across the map will also be in Halo 5. The Social Playlist will have Sprint and it would be a default ability like in Halo 4. Some of the Equipment are the old equipment from Halo 3, while some of them are old Armor Abilities that have been turned into an Equipment you pick up, instead of starting with it like an Armor Ability. I'll explain it later. In the Ranked Playlist, it will have a Halo 3-like set up with everyone spawning with the same Primary, secondary, grenade type and having Equipment scattered across the Map. Sprint "will not" be in the Ranked Playlist. Satisfying both players that like or hate Sprint. Both Social and Ranked will have Duel Wielding. Resupply becomes avaliable to everyone in both the Ranked and Social Playlists like it should have been in Halo 4. [Having resupply become a perk in Halo 4 and not being avaliable to everyone like its always been from Halo CE to Reach is rediculous.] [i would like to have Sprint, Evade and a new addition Slide from Destiny and Cod: Ghosts into Halo 5, but I don't know how to balance it out, or make it work out. I would like to have it all in one gametype somehow so if anyone has any idea of how to make it work, please comment and of course I will give you credit for this idea and any other idea you may have.] In Halo 4, When you are scoped in and someone shoots at you, you could still shoot at them while scoped. I loved that addition in Halo 4 as it would get annoying in other Halo games to have keep getting in and out of scope. That will also return. Players can join in midgame, but only in the first few minutes of the Game. Hitmarkers returns, but No Grenade Indicators. Weapon Skins will return in the few Playlists in Social that have Custom Loadouts, and Firefight (343 said they have no plans for Spartan Ops Season 2 so there will be no Spartan Ops in Halo 5). Another idea is that maybe we could choose different designs for each weapon. Like being able to choose between the Halo: Reach and Halo 4 Assault Rifle designs or the Halo 3 and Halo 4 Battle Rifle. There would be no difference in gameplay other than having a different layout of the weapon and also having a Weapon Skin along with whichever weapon design you choose, giving the player a ton of varietiy and customization. [Thanks to Wangtim3 for the idea of different weapon models, or at least that's where I got the idea.] Halo 5 Equipment Like I said earlier, Halo 3 Equipment returns but some of them are some of the old armor abilities from Reach and Halo 4. The Armor Abilities that are returning are no longer Armor Abilities but are now as Equipment like Halo 3 had it. The Bubble Shield, Jet Pack, Active Camoflage, Radar Jammer, Regeneration Field, Thruster Pack, Flare and Power Drain all return. The Regeneration Field, Bubble Shield, Power Drain, Active Camo, Radar Jammer, and Flair will be like in Halo 3, it will only be used once. The Jet Pack can be used only for a limited time before it breaks, it will not break if you dont use it. the Thruster Pack will be usable until the player dies in which another player can pick it up. Custom Game Matchmaking Halo 5 could have a feature that lets you choose what map and what gametype you want to play and searches other players that want the same map and gametype. There would be two playlists for this. • 1) it would only be default Maps and default Gametypes giving you XP for playing it as it normally would. • 2) it would be for Custom Made Maps and Gametypes and you would get no XP as it would be for players that want to have Custom Games and want to find other players to play those custom games as it can be hard to find enough people to play Custom Games. Plus there would be people that purposly try to rig the map so they win, so again, you would not get any XP so there wouldn't be a reason to cheat or rig the map. This would help solve both finding people for your custom games and others players that try to cheat. Destructible Environments Halo 5 Multiplayer should also have destructible Environments, wall panals can fall of, certain man cannons can be destroyed. No buildings can be destroyed in multiplayer. Halo 5 should feature some player-triggered environmental hazards like floors that can be electricized like in Vertigo in Halo 4, another good example is High Ground from Halo 3. Another thing is that in the Halo 4 Campaign level Infinity, when driving the Mantis, you could destroy some bridges above the player. Perhapes something similar could be seen in Halo 5 Multiplayer. Ist Person Driving When driving a vehicle, air or ground, by pressing the thumbstick you can switch between 1st Person or 3rd Person when Driving a vehicle like in Battlefield 3. Creating a whole new driving experience in Halo. The same can be done when holding the Flamethrower or any Covenant or UNSC Turret, by pressing the thumbstick, you can switch between 1st and 3rd Person. Custom Emblems Like in Cod: Black Ops, you should be able to create and customize your own emblem. Now of course, there will be people who will make sexual pictures or anything else that is innapropriate, so while you can make your own emblem, anyone who makes an innapropriate emblem in Halo 5 will lose there ability to do so and will go back to Halo's original way of making a Halo emblem. You can choose to have the classic way of making an emblem if you choose to do so. Duel Weilding Returns Duel Wielding returns better than Ever! You can sprint when duel wielding without dropping your weapons. Armor Customization In Halo 5, I would like to transfer my Halo 4 armor configuration into Halo 5. Like how you could transfer your Mass Effect Character from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2 and 2 to 3. The Armor configuration you have in Halo 4 would transfer over and only that armor set would transfer, no other armor set would transfer over so you have to choose wisely as to what armor that you liked in Halo 4 to bring over to Halo 5. Although this idea of transfering you're armor to Halo 5 is probably just me, which I understand if some people don't like the idea. To unlock armor in Halo 5 you should have to do Vidmasters Achievements which I think need to return and also make more Vidmaster Challanges than Bungie did with Halo 3 and ODST, playing the Campaign Solo on Legendary, finding Skulls and Terminals in the Campaign and any other Campaign Achievements. Now some armor could be unlocked in Multiplayer, but they need to take time and real effort to try to unlock them. In Halo 4 it was too easy, in Halo 5, it needs to have a challange trying to get the Armor you want, so you actually have a reason to play multiplayer. Also many of the old Armor from Halo 3 and Halo: Reach that were forgotten in Halo 4 needs to make a return These Armor Confingurations need to return. Halo 3 Armor Returning Mark VI Mark V EVA (Halo 3 Design) CQB EOD Hayabusa [Definetly!] ODST Helmet (Halo 3 Design) Marathon Helmet Rogue Helmet Halo: Reach Armor Returning Recon CQC Hazop Operator Scout (Reach Design) Commando JFO Grenadier Sniper Sholders Jump Jet Halo 4 Armor Returning Recruit Warrior Air Assault Soldier Aviator Defender EVA (Halo 4 Design) War Master Orbital EOD (Halo 4 Design) Pathfinder Rogue C.I.O Venator Raider Scanner Strider Mark V (Halo 4 Design) ODST (Halo 4 Design) Prefect Ricochet Vanguard All Halo 4 Forearms, legs and all Visor Colors. Keep in mind, I think they should keep multiple designs for some of these Armor configurations like Scout, Mark V, ODST, EOD, EVA etc to satisfy players that like one one armor design from one game over another [Example me prefering the Halo 4 Scout Helmet over the Reach Scout Helmet] Elites Epic Return Elites Return in Halo 5 Multiplayer with Customizable Armor and are Playable with Spartans in Team Games like in Halo 3 with no difference except size, so playing as an Elite is your own choice and your own risk. You can also choose to play as a Spartan or an Elite at the Beginning of the Game, like choosing a side in Star Wars Battlefront, instead of having to switch between Spartans and Elites before the Game like in Halo 3, you can choose before you first spawn. When the Elites are teaming with Spartans like in Halo 3, the Elites start off with the same weapon as then, except for a few gametypes in which they can start with a Storm Rifle, Plasma Rifle, Covenant Carbine etc. I also want to have the Plasma Repeater from Halo: Reach to return, but it is now a Covenant LMG. When the Elites get the Thruster Pack, they get the Evade Ability instead, but both would have to be balanced equally with the same distance and recharge time. Elites also have the default ability to Sprint if they are in the Social Playlist but will not be able to sprint in the Ranked Playlist as there will be no sprint in the Ranked Playlist. Elites are in both Ranked and Social Playlists. Also an Elite Playlist would be a choice in the Social Playlist Gametypes for everyone who wants to play as an Elite. Medals Weapon spree medals were given a significant overhaul in Halo: Reach. While in previous games they were only awarded for consecutive kills with the same weapon, in Halo: Reach, the player needed to only accumulate the number of kills without dying. Halo: Reach had the best Medal System in any Halo Game. Halo 5 needs to have another overhaul bigger than that. Having" all" the Gameplay Medals in Halo: Reach and all the new objective and other new medals that were added in Halo 4. (New Medals) Vengence - kill the opponent who just ended your killing spree These Multiplayer Gametypes should make a return in Halo 5 1. Dominion - Halo 4 2. Extraction - Halo 4 3. Headhunter - Halo: Reach 4. Infection and Flood - Halo 3 & 4 5. Invasion/Invasion Slayer - Halo: Reach 6. Race - Halo: Reach 7. Regicide - Halo 4 8. Stockpile - Halo: Reach 9. Conquest - Battlefield 10. Gun Game - Halo 4 Mod 11. Hostage Rescue - Halo 4 Mod 12. Space Battle - Battlefront II 13. Search and Destroy - CoD 14. King of the Hill 15. Assault 16. Capture the Flag/One Flag CTF 17. Elite Slayer 18. Griffball 19. Generater Defense 20. Juggernaut 21. King of the Hill 22. Oddball 23. Silenced Slayer 24. SWAT 25. Team Snipers 26. Territory 27. VIP Cature the Flag Capture the Flag obviously returns in Halo 5. you still hold a pistol when carrying the flag like in Halo 4, but now returns the ability to drop the flag whenever you want like all Halo games before Halo 4. In a few varients of CTF, you cannot drop the flag, for those that like that change in Halo 4. You can have those settings in custom gametypes as well. Multiplayer Space Battles Much like Star Wars: Battlefront II, Halo 5 should have Space battles. Each team have 4 seperate hangers, 2 players in each of them. It will be 8v8, each team spawns in a hanger, gets into a Pelican, Broadsword etc and has to destroy parts of the enemy ship, and kill other players on the other team. It can be UNSC vs. Covenant Space Battle, Red vs. Blue Spartans Space Battles with two UNSC Frigate Ships and/or it could be Red vs. Blue Elites Space Battles with two Covenant Ships. Capture the Flag and Assault would also be available in Space Battles. Also have some other gametypes like trying to download data from the enemy teams ship and returning it to your ship, or have a Hostage Rescue gametype. When playing CTF you would have to take the flag in a Pelican and have someone drive you back to you're ship, promoting more teamwork in CTF. Silenced Slayer Silenced Slayer is regular Team Slayer where every weapon has a silencer attached to it. Except Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser, Rail Gun and Sticky Detonator. No Covenant Weapons. Everyone Spawns with a Silenced SMG and No duel Wielding in this gametype. True Skill Ranking System Halo 3's True Skill ranking system for its matchmaking on a per-playlist basis. A linear measure of a player's experience with the matchmade portion of the game and each particular playlist is also tracked (denoted as EXP), but make it as or even more difficult than it was in Halo 2 and 3. Active Roster Returns to show you who is online, what they are doing and join them if avaliable Firefight Firefight would return in Halo 5 like its always been, with no major difference. You could fight against the Covenant like before, but you could finally fight the Flood in firefight and now you could also fight against the Promeatheans and even the Innsurectionists from the Halo Novels. If you want, you can play as an Elite and fight against another Spartan like in Halo: Reach's Firefight. You could also play as any other Covenant, Flood or Promeathean in Firefight against Spartans. Kind of like Horde Mode from Gears of War. So if you want to play as a Grunt or Jackel, you can finally do that. If you want to play as a Covenant against a Spartan, but don't have anyone to play with or don't have Xbox Live, the Spartans would also be an AI to play against making it easy or hard to fight, choosing the difficulty settings you want for it. You can also Forge your own map and play a Firefight on it, but only in custom games but it could make it into firefight matchmaking if 343 approves it. Space Firefight In Halo 5, they should bring back Firefight, but bring it back with a bang. Bring back Firefight on the ground and in Space. You would start in a hanger and would be able to choose if you want to fly a Pelican, Longsword, Broadsword or any other UNSC Flying Vehicle in Space Firefight to fight against the Covenant, "or" you could play as a Covenant and you could fly in a Phantom, Seraph, Space Banshee from Reach or any other Covenant Flying Vehicle against the UNSC. in Halo 4, storyline wise, Multiplayer is a simulation aboard the UNSC Infinity, Firefight and Space Firefight would also be a simulation aboard the Infinity to show other players how long the Player could last against the Covenant, Promeatheans or the Flood etc Halo 5 Multiplayer Map Packs Halo 5 should have 4 or even 5 Map Packs. Each Map Pack has 3 New maps, 1 Map Remake from a past Halo Game and 1 brand New Firefight Map. Halo 5 should have 5 Forge Worlds 1. Forge World (Bigger) - Reach 2. Impact (Bigger) - Halo 4 3. A Lava filled Forge World 4. A Snowy Forge World 5. A Desert Forge World And other Huge Maps for Forge. Possibly twice or even 3 times as big as Forge world. Please watch these 2 videos Halo 5's Forge needs this! Civilian Vehicles and all. Out of all the Multiplayer Maps, I want 1. Waterworks from Halo 2 2. Breakneck from Halo 2 and Halo: Reach/Anniversary 3. Coagulation from Halo 2 4. Last Resort from Halo 3 - All to return sometime in Halo 5 Halo 5 Weapons U.N.S.C. Assault Rifle Battle Rifle Designated Marksman Rifle [DMR] SMG (Duel Wield) Magnum (Duel Wield) Shotgun Rocket Launcher Sniper Rifle (Halo: Reach Updated Design) Sparan Laser Railgun SAW Sticky Detonator Flamethrower Machine Gun Turret Frag Grenade Covenant Storm Rifle Covenant Carbine Plasma Rifle (Duel Wield) Plasma Repeater (New Covenant LMG) Plasma Pistol (Duel Wield) Brute Plasma Rifle (Duel Wield) Brute Spiker (Duel Wield) Brute Shot Gravity Hammer Energy Sword Needler Concussion Rifle Beam Rifle Fuel Rod Cannon Plasma Turret Plasma Grenade Fire Grenade (from Halo 3) Forerunner / Promethean Light Rifle Suppressor Bolt Shot Scattershot Binary Rifle Incineration Cannon Sentinel Beam (finally returns) Pulse Grenade *New Forerunner SMG, other new Forerunner Weapons and a new Promethean Turret* Vehicles U.N.S.C Warthog (Default, Guass & Rocket) Troop Transport Warthog Mongoose Falcon (Modified Version) Scorpion Tank Mantis (Weaker Version) Pelican Dropship Broadsword Covenant Ghost Banshee Spectre (Returns) Wraith Chopper (Returns) Scarab (Certain Gametype) Seraph Phantom Dropship Lich Thanks for reading and if any member 343 Industries saw and read all this, please take it all into consideration.
  11. What if flood could drive cars, use guns, do things they've never done before. They could create a whole new gametype. Gravedanger: In this gamemode you are either flood or spartans. Both can use covenant, human, and forerunner weapons and vehicles. A gravemind has formed and the flood are becoming stronger mentally with it being created. your job is to exterminate the flood and destroy the gravemind. 16 vs 16 battles Custom game flood: In custom games there could be flood AI that could be customized for example you can have a flood move in a certain direction only or have it have no A.I ( customize), dumb A.I ( has regular flood traits) or smart A.I( gravemind flood can drive, will go after weapons, pickup weapons, drive vehicles, and steal ordinance.)
  12. I was wondering if anyone shared the same views as I, in the field that we should have at least a minor say in the creation/management of future titles in the Reclaimer Trilogy, since we as an xbox community told Microsoft what we didn't want with the Xbox One and they changed it, regardless that is was mainly shaped by money. This led me to think if MS would listen then certainly 343 would, anyway vote and discuss.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBeyFxCsoOw My personal favorite ost from ODST (besides Skyline) Let your ears be soothed by the sweet vibrations...
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3qwep7PCA8 it's a joke. (although it does hold some truth)
  15. After halo3 cove net made peace. the covenant we are fighting aren't the real covenet so maybe in halo 5 arbiter comes back to help fight the promeathans and the covenant we are fighting are followers of the fouruners/Truth ways
  16. ODST Arbiter Flood Beneficial Silenced Weaponry I miss so much. Like a brother. Fun to fight. I love suppressors and stealth, this would be perfect for Halo. All I want to see in Halo 5 are ODSTs.doc
  17. Well, as you all know, Spartan Ops Season 1 has come to an end. But if you have watched the Epilogue *SPOILER ALERT* you will see that Jul Mdama has kidnapped Halsey (of course) and they left Requiem. The Infinity is in (possibly) unknown space. If you think of it, Jul got what he wanted, which would be the Librarian's gift, and may be returning to his home world, Sanghelios. Also, as SpOps will have around 3 Seasons, so that means Jul may either return to Sanghelios on the 2nd Season and/or be killed on the 3rd Season. Let us think of it... 343i said, on an interview, that Thel 'Vadam may or may not be on SpOps, and you know Frankie is a tricky one to understand. If Jul returns to Sanghelios, it may be to gather more warriors for his fleet (and as you know, there are still some Loyalists on Sanghelios) or to simply return home to study the Gift and/or dispose of Halsey when he thinks it can be done. Infinity may track Jul 'Mdama down and go after his Fleet, and without knowing they might send Crimson to the grounds of Sanghelios, then discovering the Political Wars happening on Sanghelios and that there are still Sangheili who favors the truce between Sangheili-Humans. Fireteam Crimson may find Thel (the Arbiter) around Sanghelios, and end up helping him to win the Civil War, while still looking for Jul. 343i may either make Crimson and Arby win the War or just make Infinity go after Jul, who is escaping the planet. This may affect the "Sangheili aboard Infinity" thing, by making the Arbiter thankful, thus sending some of his troops to fight alongside humans, or simply explain why the friendly Sangheili are back on Halo 5, along with Thel. It is just a wish. I am 90% sure 343i will include playable Elites on Halo 5, so if SpOps really "ties up with the campaign" (and as it also happens around six months after the Campaign), why not to make it a "backstory"? Say down below what you guys think!
  18. please do tour best work to be able to play with more than 4 players in firefight. half the unsc team will bespartans or ODSTs . ODST players got the weaker abilities than spartans like in halo 3 recon. ODSTs get to respawn with the drop pod and spartans is dropped from the sky just like the first cutscene from halo 4 for more realism, fighting on a battlefield, those feeling. for the covenant, old fasioned(?) elites and (i cant think any other covenant special marine type).

    Arbiter?

Alright, so I heard on another site that Arbiter would be in Halo 4, and that 343 confirmed it. But I've searched through threads on here and no one else seems to think so. I was very curious as to if he'd be in it or not, he pretty much replaced Sergeant Johnson as my second favorite character (since johnson died ;-. Does anyone know if he will be in it or not?

  21. These Are Just ideas...I recommend people to read this. Including 343i: Campaign Storyline - 2 Years after the event on requiem, it was a peaceful day on earth...the covenant invaded again. Unexpectedly. And no, these werent just elites this time. There was only SOME elites and they wore different armor. But this time brutes! They have returned with the features they had on halo 2. All UNSC members are ordered to evacuate all citizens. Master chief prepares. I need a weapon lol. There was a big war going on down there. Infinity spartans fight back and ODST's are sent to different parts of the areas the covenant attacked. Earth is at risk. This time its not just one part of earth getting attacked. Its all of earth. UNSC try their best to stop the attacking....it was just so hard. Wait....but then. Master chief sees the arbiters and other elite ships. Humanity just got lucky. Arbiter and other elites help the humans. Arbiter and master chief regroup with eachother and have another adventure. Then, there was a UNSC ship crash landing on earth. Arbiter and chief go check out the crash site. They enter the ship and see dead covenant and soldiers. Master chief goes to pilot area of the ship. The pilots are dead. They enter the center of the ship then theres still some people alive and trying to escape the ship. Master chief enters a room with a load of cyro tubes with the very first spartans in them. Also the ship is the spirit of fire that disappeared years ago when the events of halo wars happened. First master chief opens a cyro tube and wakes Professor Anders. Then she opens the rest of tubes and wakes up spartans. These spartans have alot in common with master chief. They all escape the ship and join in the battle. The covies stop attacking...they retrieve because they had spotted another sacred halo ring. Infinity and other ships follow the covenant. They cant let the covenant get to the ring. So they have another ordinary halo war like on the other games. And flood return. I had more ideas but i just didnt feel like typing it. Flood mode - Stays the same Ctf - Same all those other gametypes stay too Promethean Mode - New mode i came up with and it sounds pretty cool. Wouldnt it be awesome to be a promethean killing other prometheans? We get to have our own little sword and we can jump high. Elite Slayer - Returns! Blah blah blah blah im tired i would type more guys but...im lazy. Bye
  22. I finally finished the whole thing. I took out the Reploids (Mega Man X) To make it as canon as possible. You can read the whole thing at fanfiction.net or download the pdf I've included in the post. It's 107 pages. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8050917/1/bHalo_b_bProject_b_bUmbra_b Also included an updated promo video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhWq33GfHdI&feature=youtu.be Halo Project Umbra (Complete).pdf

    HALO WARS ARBITER

    From the album: ELITES

  24. In Halo:Reach, everyone knows you could largely customize your spartan to look like almost anything you want. But your elite's appearance was limited to a few selections and weren't satisfying. In Halo 3 you could customize your elite as much as you could your spartan. Of course, who knows if you'll even be able to play as the elites online? But if possible it'd be nice to customize your elite with the ultimate armor perhaps being Arbiter's?
