  1. You had thousands of gamers ready to pick Halo back up and start playing it again. You claimed to bring back the Halo 2 and 3 ranking system. Evereyone was ready to get addicted to Halo again. Then we found out about how it WAS NOT like Halo 2 and 3. You could NOT SEE your rank. What is the point of having rank you cant see?! How does that even make it competitive if you can't see your opponents?! The thousands of gamers that waited till today.... are going to go right back to COD. It was pretty obvious why true Halo fans loved CSR... the number rank you could SEE. MASSIVELY DISAPPOINTED!
  2. As some of you know the latest map pack included some small/medium maps. But its seems unless you are in the majestic playlist, they never show up in the normal rotation of maps, regardless of what playlist I'm in.
  3. Scrapyard is a Meltdown inspired layout and built on the Erosion forge canvas. Scrapyard is an enduring battlefield that is strong for dominion, extraction and infinity slayer. This map uses the human drop set from matchmaking and their are X2 initial Rockets and X2 initial Snipers. Vehicles: Alpha Base: Gauss Hog X1, Ghosts X1. Bravo Base: Banshee X1, Charlie Base: Ghosts X2 Information: As Alpha base is on the lower grounds and farther away from B, it contains nice routes, a gauss hog and a more defensible base. Bravo Base contains a lift closer to the alpha routes and is also a self-positioned structure to the middle in the field for it to not be ignored. Their is a banshee on the second floor and their is accessibility on the second floor for it to be intruded. On Charlie Base, it is closer to the Bravo Base and is on higher ground which is the reason why Charlie has two ghosts and no supportive vehicle. Also to add on this is that their are teleporters on the map that work meltdown style where from the outskirts of the base it could teleport them into the base or onto the side of it for closer access. Alpha Base: Bravo Base: Overview 1 Bravo Base: Overview 2 Charlie Base: Download map: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/mexican%20torta%207/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameMap&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=6d41948f-e582-4f30-a1f2-994deedd1ae3 I hope you all enjoy, This took a while to be perfected and it's still not perfect... but it got to the very best it could be. 4. I'm just looking for a friendly group of people to play matchmaking, customs and Spartan Ops with. I'm not Uber Hardcore or anything but I like to win and have fun. My other friends pretty much play CoD exclusively and I'm tired of playing solo. I play pretty much every game mode but my favorites are: Slayer(any), Dominion, Flood, Team Swat and CTF. I do go to school during the week and work part time but I play after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
  5. Massive Multiplayer Idea For this idea i would think this would go well if its for a new gaming console because god help us if this was for the 360 because this would probably create a lag storm. Anyway what I would think for this type of game mode would be are... - 1-3 maps that are as big as Arma maps. (their like 64 square kilometers for the Newest one coming up and for smaller ones at that) - A capacity of 30 players EACH team. - Extremely oversized and armored vehicles like the Mammoth or the Elephant but can be destroyed by tanks or other means of explosives and a sort of dropship like a Pelican or anything new you guys are probably secretly working on. - Better combat, the combat in Halo 4 wasn't bad but wasn't great either it was to easy to be killed it seemed like so maybe thicker spartan armor or the elite armor would increase damage protection and the vehicle plating helps protect against tank shells or gauss cannon rounds. - A new drivable vehicle (to those who haven't played Halo Wars) the Rhino as a Support Tank that could probably wipe out a mammoth or elephant and tanks and Warthogs would be able to be transported Via pelican. - Npc squads like ODST's or Elite Drop Troops to Help when in infantry battles which would be a terrain not operable by vehicles but is for infantry. - (REQUIREMENT) Good network connection so people don't lag and make everyone mad - Only playable a few times a day so the servers don't overload and to reduce the chance of running into a whiney little kid because no one enjoys that period Comment on what you think of this or create you're own list of ideas for this type and post below.
  6. Hi 343 - I write on behalf of the Rocket Race Community and all the racers who loved this game type. Can you please trial at least for 6months in matchmaking the traditional Rocket Race (being with a mongoose) in Halo 4? The Rocket Race Community is STILL alive and playing in H3 customs but only due to it NOT being an option in Halo 4. I've been a dedicated member of this community for over 3 years now and have met hundreds of people wanting to see it in matchmaking. You would increase your numbers significantly I feel if you create a race game type with possibly all three race variants included, those being: Rocket Race (traditional with a mongoose), Rocket Hog Race which surprisingly had a following and Rally. There IS a large following of racers but the reason you don't see them in the forums is because they have given up on the game creators. Every weekend these racers play the only option they have which is to play in customs. The other supporters want it desperately too but only in an matchmaking environment as playing the same people to some can be monotonous. We have seen griffball and zombies be given a playlist yet Rocket Race is still to be acknowledged. Please consider trialling this game type 343 then you will see the true size of the racing community. Well it's time to start the community customs - I hope this post doesn't fall on deaf ears! MJ
  7. I'm looking for players either interested in forming a full team for dominion, or a team for completing legendary co-op. Let me know if you're interested!
  8. StingLikeAMatt

    Heavies!

Who else misses this matchmaking big team battle objective game from Halo Reach? It was always fun grabbing a high powered machine and just going nuts on the other team.
  9. I am so sick of every time i get on line none of my friends are playing Halo 4. i know it's not the same as halo 3, but it is still halo and it's getting closer as far as fun goes. the new gen of gamers are.... politely speaking, aggravating. I cant believe that so many people have stopped playing, ********! please 343I blow our minds with Halo5, cut the throats of the COD franchise. Anyway I am (KING GOLDENEYE) send me an FR if u wanna play sometime....
  10. Hello everyone. For about 14 days I havent been able to play matchmaking because of the servers not being online. The message when entering wargames lobby is as follows: The Halo 4 servers are not available. Please try again later. Matchmaking has switched to using the default playlist So, I get to choose from Infinity slayer, big, regicide, CfT, KoTH and slayer pro, but with no people online. When google'ing the fail massage, i get hits, but none of them solves anything :/ I have tried the standard things like restarting everything. And I am connected to xbox live. Sincerely
  11. Halo 4 was an amazing game, by far one of my favourite Halo's. But there are a few things i personally do not like, and i'm sure many others agree with me. (in no order) 1. ELITES - I was okay with elites not being in matchmaking, but i would have liked them do be in. It adds more customisability and to be able to go on and play as an alien race makes it just that much better. 2. SOUNDS - The sounds in halo 4 where brilliant. The guns where pounding every time you took a shot... but they weren't halo. They didn't sound like halo, the covenant guns didn't sound alien, the assault rifle didn't sound like an assault rifle, and the pistol was very weak sounding. They need to do what they did with Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. The weapons all sounded like halos, but had a punch to them. Each sound blew you away and yet were still recognisable as halos. And in every other Halo the shield recharge sounded great, it had a kick to it. In halo 4 its kind of weak, not very loud and had a whistle to it rather than this futuristic shield. They need to bring that pump back to in Halo 5. 3. SHIELDS - The shields in halo 4 depleted way too fast and recharged way too slow. I realise this was too speed up the gameplay and all but it doesn't feel like the halo shield i love from Halo 2 and Halo 3. And the over-shield in halo 4 is terrible, it depletes way to fast so by the time you found someone to kill you ran out of the over-shield. They must make it that powerful original shield again. 4. WATER - In halo 4 water kills you the second you touch it. In the other halos the water goes up to your neck before dying. I know its a bit picky but it just annoys me when in halo reach i forged flooded areas. 5. CAMPAIGN - I waited for years to play halo 4, it was worth it but i would have liked to campaign to have been longer and more dedicated. 6. MUSIC - I was disappointed not to hear the classic halo theme and a choir. It would just have made the mysterious settings much better. I loved their version of 'Never Forget' in Halo 4, it kept me watching the credits through to the ending. In halo 5 they need to bring back some more classic music. 7. QUICK TIME EVENTS - No... just no. They should have let us kill the Didact ourselves, like we did with every other boss. Sometimes it was okay but just left me wishing that i was actually controlling it. 8. GAMEPLAY - Its just small but id like the controls to be customisable. Such as being able to have sprint being selected as a default rather always being on. And have the other Halo controls as a setup. And some multiplayer playlists should be changed, like Flood. I loved infection in halo reach, but the flood having armour abilities ruins it. Its way to difficult to survive and makes you angry when there are seconds to go and you cheaply get killed by a flood using thruster pack. 9. THE FEEL - Last thing i think they could change is the feel. Things missing here and there that could be changed. Like i said before, the choir and layouts could be a little more recognisable. When i go into the menu the music is good but repetitive, i enter it hearing the same songs over and over and over again and its a strain on my ears. The Halo 3 music was soft and beautiful. And just small things like the colour and of buttons and the menu needs to be more classic. And thats pretty much it, i love everything else. The load-outs especially suit Halo very much. And i like how the armour abilities have been toned down from Halo reach. Just minor things but i think 343 industries could sort it out and make the next halo the best halo game ever made.
  12. Hey guys my name is jCoze, and that is also my xbox live gamertag. I was doing some reading up on Game Theory, and I ran into Zero-Sum Theorum. I won't get into it here, but basically that is what real competative gaming should be like. I have created an easy-to-make gametype called Zero-Sum Slayer. Getting kills gives your team points and getting killed loses your team points. First team to 5 points to win, best of 3 rounds.I'm sure this gametype has been tried, but i personally haven't seen anybody playing it. I takes more teamwork and cooperation than most matchmaking playlists, which i love slash miss. If you are not into teamwork and winning then this gametype is not for you. Most likely you wouldn't even like it anyways. Message me on XBL or just don't talk to me at all, download it off my fileshare and play it with your buddies.

    Complex

IMO, Complex is the WORST map I have ever played n any Halo game. Does anyone even like this map? First off, lets start with the map balance. Clearly, Complex is a non-symmetrical map. One side of the map is an abandoned mess of useless buildings with no role in the map. The other side is a DMR Sniper resort. The building has 2 floors which are both extremely camp-able On the top, you have an open roof that overlooks the entire map! Great for DMRs right? Oh, and did I mention that there is little to no cover in this map? Ghosts: This map has too Ghosts on it. With the cover that isn't in this map, the people in the Ghost can easily mow people down as they run along, over and over and over. Spawns: The spawns on this map are horrid. Once again, with no cover on the map, you are constantly spawning in the open. I remember I got spawn-killed four times from the roof. When you finally get the relief of spawning elsewhere, The enemy's Ghost will be happy to clean you up. This map has no role in competitive gameplay, tell me your opinion on the map.
  14. All those that want to see Team Doubles as a permanent playlist say, "Aye!"
  15. Hello 343i community, I came up with an idea yesterday in my head and wanted to see the community's opinion on it. I think that there should be a Leader-boards to promote friendly competition among this website. I have noticed the small lack of competitiveness among this website's members. I think it would add a different option for being known on the site rather than having quality posts. How it would work: The leader-board would be hooked up with Halo Waypoint or Halo Tracker to show individuals' stats. There would be different categories for things such as K/D, Wins, AVG Score, Skill Rank, and gametypes. I think that many members would be able to show off their Halo skills with this. This is just my opinion, please tell me what you think about this idea.
  16. Shield Recharge Rate: Does anyone have the problem of getting picked off right after getting a kill? I usually kill an enemy while my shields get dropped. In 4v4 Slayer, usually there will be multiple enemies at once. He will usually take 1-2 shots to finish me off. Sometimes, if I am lucky I can get away. The problem is, there might be another enemy just around the corner. Sometimes, my shield just won't go up fast enough, and then I get killed. I think the shield recharge rate at the time is the same as it is in previous Halo games. This particular one though, has a much faster pace to it, thanks to sprinting and long range weapons. The shield recharge rate being the same however, makes you have to hide almost every time you get a kill. Added in with sprint and flinch when getting shot, this game caters to chasers. If you're getting chased the only hope you have is a teamate. I have explained my thoughts. Please tell me what you think.
  17. Halo 4 was some pluses and so negatives. Pros- -campaign was pretty good for the most part -graphics -spartan: ops, its like a new campaign every week -regicide -flood skin is great -forge is easier for a newbie Cons- -griffball - huge disappointment there. I expected many gametypes similar to reach. I expected many variations in maps but all i got were a bunch of squares with several minor changes. Even halo 3 had a map variation better than that -ordinance it promotes camping and gets rid of skill. In other halos you had to know the map if you wanted to win. You needed to know where power weapons would be found unlike now it just shows you where they are. -load outs unfair and unbalanced if u play longer you get better weapons. Everybody should start a match with the same guns. -skins should have a seperate section so i can put any skin on any armor. -mantis is over powered -no race -no multi team -no invasion -no assault -no percision forging -magnets dont always work right and can leave holes in maps -not enough small maps -not balanced starting points in maps *SPOILER ALERT* - master chief shows his eyes in the legendary ending. If any more of master chief is shown without armor it will be my last halo. Unfortunatly there are more negatives than positives. some could get fixed others will not atleast until the next halo. This is just my opinion and you may feel free to voice yours.
  18. I've been playing AC III multiplayer and at the end of each match, the top 3 accolades are shown on screen along with an animation for the best one. For example, if you had the most kills, you character is shown stabbing, punching and killing 3 enemies like a boss! What if a similar system was brought in Halo 5? Like "Most multi kills", showing your Spartan/Elite killing some enemies in a flash or "The Assassin", your player performs an assassination. It would be great to have this in the game. Rate, comment and sub- wait, just post your thoughts
  19. With the 2v2 playlist penciled in for early February, this is a good time for the community to discuss what would work best. Source of news: http://mltiplyr.com/...ate-january-28/ Also releasing in February is the Majestic Map Pack which is confirmed to feature two smaller maps. This should help buff 2v2's worth in matchmaking. - - - As we know, 2v2's are a staple within competitive Halo play. Being a competitive player myself, I also understand the balance of simplicity and complexity necessary to allow such maps to work within a 2v2 environment. In this thread we will discuss why a map could or could not work for 2v2's. Please list pro's and con's for each map presented and we will collectively add them to the OP in hopes of achieving a near perfect experience in Halo 4's future 2v2 playlist. If there is a community map presented, please share the corresponding gamertag and as much info/media as you can. A link to a post with media would be best. Below are a few to get started, please share your input and we'll amend the list in a unified manner based on community feedback. I will list various maps below and a consensus category next to each, showing how we collectively feel about each one. The range will be Positive | Neutral | Negative. - - - Maps for Double Team Map: Lockout Consensus: Positive File: http://www.343indust...perfect-remake/ Pros: Lockout is a staple within Halo's 2v2 lore. If features the perfect balance between mix up and execution, meaning players are able to outsmart, outmaneuver and out shoot the opponent equally. Halo 4's Lockout in a 2v2 playlist would have to be 1:1 scale. While the game is marginally faster than it's predecessors, the size is perfectly fitting in a 2v2 environment and all of the jumps, line of sight, etc. would need to be retained. Cons: _____ Map: Haven Consensus: Positive File: Standard Halo 4 Map Pros: Symmetrical, balanced competitive map. Tried and true. Cons: _____ Map: Relay Consensus: Neutral File: Standard Halo 4 Forge Map Pros: Symmetrical, balanced competitive map. Cons: Slightly large, corridor based. Open space. _____ Map: Simplex Consensus: Positive File: Halo 4 Community Forge Playlist Pros: Symmetrical, balanced competitive map. MLG ready. Cons: _____ Map: Adrift Consensus: Neutral File: Halo 4 Standard Map Pros: Tried and true. Cons: Fairly large. _____ Map: Abandon Consensus: Neutral File: Halo 4 Standard Map Pros: Size is appropriate for 2v2. Cons: Potential spawn imbalance.
  20. I thought that since most people just hate on the Boltshot (which is totally understandable), I thought, why not just do a topic making fun of it (or having fun with it). I mean, not every game has a secondary weapon that's an accuracy back-up and a shotgun as well. I mean, not that there's something wrong with that *cough cough*.
  21. As Stan Smith on American Dad once said "Omg Francine these chocodiles, these chocodiles oh my god oh my god" is all i can say lol This playlist is extremely fun and i want to thank 343 for putting up there, and i hope it stays for a good amount of time.. I mean really the new crimson maps got boring on its release date but these maps are very creative and just a blast to play on. Just two complaints the map Garotte i believe the spawns arent random just in same area and my team got stuck in original spawn all game with the opponents basically spawn trapping we pushed and got out couple times but always ended up same spot lost 600 to 420 Also swat very difficult on certain maps too fast respawns. Anyways whats your favorite map?
  22. Hi there guys oTG BLKGreenLTN here, This is my first time posting but its about the new fishstick control settings and whether or not it will be in the future Halo games...okay i know it brings alot of COD fans like me but since COD is getting boring i thought maybe ill try this new halo. Ive tried the default settings and i cant do it but as soon as i heard that its going to be like anyother FPS settings. So since its here you think its here to stay? Thanks Guys GreenLTN OUT!!
  23. Hello, everyone. This is my first topic here, so go easy on me. I have been playing Halo 4, since it's release and found it to be a very fun experience. It's all good. The campaing, spartan ops, and the matchmaking. Everything. But something in particular on matchmaking caught my attention. Most players preffer to use precision weapons over fully automatic weapons. Not that I dislike presicion weapons, for I also find them to be convinient and acknowledge their upper hand on the battlefield. It's just that I find that some weapons are not giving their full potential at their field, thus they make most precision weapons a strong choice. Which are these weapons that fall back? Well, just as the tittle suggests, the weapons are the following: Assault Riffle & Storm Riffle The assault riffle and the storm riffle. Weapons made to fight from medium range combat, and ment to destroy from close-quarters. Of course, these weapons don't fare well on long distance battles. Most should be aware of this. However, when these weapons encounters certain precision weapons on it's field of effeciency, they falls back. The suppressor, in my opinion, doesn't seem to have this problem. If I were to make a suggestion, these weapons should have a slight boost on their damage. Nothing too substancial, just a bit to make the difference, since they have a good fire rate. Covenant Carbine The convenant carbine is a great weapon. It shares the same advantage as the other precision weapons. The weapon has a great fire rate in contrast with the other two precision weapons, but it's fire-power, is greatly cut-off in return. This weapon doesn't seem to fare well in the battlefield, but with a little boost on it's fire power, it should be balanced with the rest. Again, it should not be given a great amount of fire-power, because the weapon has the advantage of speed over the other two precision weapons, it just need a slight boost. Besides, this matter, the game itself is a pretty good addition to the series. I would like to thank 343 and all of those in the making for keeping this legend alive. Well done.
  24. Alright, so I have some great ideas for Halo 5, here ya go ------[ Forge ]------ [] Customizable land and sky color -Now I thought this would be cool, so lets say your on a grassy map. You can go into "Customize" in the menu and choose land color, vegetation color, sky color, and water color. [] Wield tool -This is probably the best, you can wield objects to vehicles and save that vehicle. [] Vehicle settings -In vehicle settings you can change the color, speed, and weight. [] Security cameras -And can link with monitors. You can make it so players have to manually sync it on the map or it is automatically. [] World Size -You have a HUGE map to build on, but by entering each one you have so select and arena to load. -By clicking "World size" in a menu, it shows a top down view of the map with a square over the area you can build in and you can drag that square any where you want, and it will load that section. [] Trees and plants! -I've always wanted to place vegetation in my maps [] Particle effects -You can place fog, smoke, fire, and blood. -But you have a limited amount [] Openable doors Last but not least... ---[ ADVENTURE ]--- In Halo 5, there should be a new game type called "Adventure" were you set the goal of the map so it could be like "Cross the finnish line" or "Escape from building" or kill all the covenant. In adventure you can place NPC's like grunts, elites, jackals, BRUTES, Hunters, and skirmishers. Also you can place objectives and missions by talking with marines around the map. **You can also make cut scenes with theater mode, and place in a timeline of events! Hope you liked my ideas, hope you consider them.
  25. Hello, i'm looking for more people to add to my friends list.
