  1. Today, me and my friend were having a conversation over Halo 4 about what we, as lifelong players of the Halo series, would love to see in Halo 5. Now that 343 Industries have stripped Halo back to the basics for Halo 4 and started building anew to gain the support of players who may have doubted 343 Industries, maybe it's time they started building again for Halo 5 and started implementing new multiplayer features. And because Xbox One will allow larger multiplayer matches with more players, perhaps they can allow for much larger maps, and thus, larger vehicle. For example, they could introduce a new class of vehicle that we've never seen in multiplayer before - the heavy air assault aircraft. UNSC Vulture Currently, the UNSC has one candidate for introduction in Halo 5 - The Vulture. This beast of a gunship was introduced in Halo: Wars back in 2009. This vehicle is notable for it's impressive forward-mounted chainguns located below the cockpit on either side of the ship. These guns could cut down a small squad in seconds. The Vulture also had two rocket pods located to the rear of the ship on the roof. These were mainly used to destroy other vehicles or structures. If this vehicle were to be implemented into Halo 5, it is agreeable that the rockets will need to be nerfed or scaled down for use against ground based vehicles, but also not strong enough that in a battle, the rocket hog/gauss hog have a chance to severely damage the Vulture. The machine gun turrets, however, may require a player to operate each one seperately from the driver to balance it out. Also, these turrets could be moved elsewhere. I.E, on the side of the ship to provide broad/starboard side defence. The players who operate these gun turrets will also be vulnerable, as they can be killed when their turret is destroyed. Also, the ship's slow maneuvering speed will be a downfall, and make it susceptible to attacks from the Lych, Gauss and Rocket Hogs and even the Wraith. Lich For those who have already played Halo 4, you will know about the Covenant Lich, a large bulky gunship build for ground assaults as seen on Requiem. The Lich is structured similarly to the main chassis of the Scarab, both on the interior and exterior. The Lich it built around 2.5 levels, the second level containing the gundeck with two side-mounted gun turrets The most notable armament of the Lich is the forward mounted plasma beam cannon, seemingly scaled down from the beam located on the Scarab. If this vehicle was to be implemented into the multiplayer, the plasma turret located on the front would have to be scaled down slightly, and repurposed for use against ground units mainly, perhaps making it a turret similar to the Phantom's forward mounted turret. This would be controlled by the pilot. The side mounted gun turrets would be of a similar variety to the normal plasma cannon, making it vulnerable to snipers. This vulnerability would be enforced by the slower speed of the Lich, slower even than the Vulture. However, the maneuverability will be slightly easier than the Vulture. Overall, the Lich will be more vulnerable to the Rocket Hog, Mantis, Vulture and players who board the vehicle from the air, or even from the ground. I urge those who read this suggestion to pledge their support in my ideas. Also, if you would like to provide constructive criticism of any aspects, please ensure that you read every bit of information first. Thank you in advance
  2. Hello everyone! Games are amazing! The stories they tell and the experiences that we get from them are irreplaceable! However some physical goals may seem a little hard when you have so many great games to play. That is specifically why I created a fitness program for gamers! I call it the Video Game Fitness Program(or VGFP) and it will help you achieve your health and fitness goals while playing the games that you love! I know how inspired we get from Video Games so I know that we have potential to do amazing things when we put our minds to it! Nothing should get in the way or your health and fitness goals! Here is the introduction video for the Video Game Fitness Program (WATCH FIRST)! Halo 4 Legendary Routine! Halo 4 Heroic Routine! Halo 4 Normal Routine! Skyrim Legendary Routine! Mass Effect 3's Legendary Routine! Battlefield 3's Legendary Routine! I am always coming out with new routines and I take suggestions for video games. It would also be my pleasure to answer any questions that you may have! Nothing should stop you from having the body and capabilities that you desire!

  4. Hello everyone I would like to make a topic speaking a little bit into the future, the future being Halo 5. I have a few unlikely ideas for H5, but that's what I want this to be about. Unlikely, cool-if-it-happened, kind of things. Things that are probably not going to make it into the game, but you would talk about it all week if they did. I have a few ideas... Pulse field (new AA): Startup time and recovery time like autosentry/regen, range slightly less than regen field. Sends out a strong pulse of kinetic force that pushes upwards and away on everything around it. Vehicles, teammates, active grenades, you name it. Could provide a BLAMing awsome solution and punishment for splatter-happy ghosts, make for some great grenade theater clips, and force enemies to stay away from cliffs. Drop Pod: ONE ITEM in forge. get in, nullifies fall damage, breaks off when you hit the ground. Vehicle pods could also drop vehicles, nullifying fall dmg, and a timer could be set on when the pod drops after being activated. Small splash dmg to nearby enemies, death if dropped on someone's head. Damage Despawning: Set a dmg value on any forge item. When it takes that amount of dmg, it despawns with the forerunner 'disintegration' effect. Collapsing buildings made easy! Halo spleef made way more awesome! Vehicle Constructors-: Forge-only single-use items, costing as much as their respective vehicles. One type for every vehicle in the game, another for random. Replaces grenade. carrying cap of 1. Use to digitally construct a vehicle on yourself, Tron Lightbike style. Useful in obstacle corses as well as creative maps. Imagine Jumping off a cliff and digitally constructing a banshee around you, or doing something similar with a mantis.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GBLtnxxtzQ Share your ideas/thoughts!
  5. hey all, i was hoping someone may be able to help me or explain wtf is going on lol i have been having sever issues when playing online and its ONLY been while trying to play halo 4 and only in the past 2 weeks. ive never had this issue since i bought the game... spartan ops is the worst; ill be playing a game and if at any point i get killed my spartan reverts to a lvl 1 with no sign of anything ive already earned at my current lvl 81, but it doesn't happen all the time it may do it once through a game and go back to normal or i could get killed close to the start of the game and im screwed. no jet pack no load outs no nothing.. oh and no points ! and the other thing is in matchmaking. same thing except not so often. ive checked everything related to my router, wireless, and the entire network. nothing is wrong and i have no other issues with anything pc or tv just "xbox live" or so halo says... its driving me nuts. halo4 is the only thing ive had the time or want to play so thats my frustration.. any help or any type of advice would be great
  6. Before I begin, I just want to say I get it. Being in the game industry can be extremely tedious. Also, people get the idea that there is a shortage of ideas and that ideas are easy to just throw in a game. Also the final product has to be marketable and turn out profit for all your hard work which a lot of people who get on here to tell you how to do your job disregard. I'm here to say an idea or two hoping you'll look at it and see if you haven't thought of it yet, find it practical or if you'd want to do something like this. Idea 1: make a game without campaign that just has multiplayer and forge and just call the game Forge. Why? So you could devote more disk space to endless forging fun and play it with friends on multiplayer, think Minecraft. You could even work out a way to put AI into forge with all of that disk space, which is what a lot of people want. Why it's a bad idea, Halo is marketable largely because of the campaign, reason why I bought Halo 4 so people wanting Halo not Forge probably wouldn't buy it. But the reason why I bought Halo Reach was largely because of Forgeworld. Idea 2: let us play as anyone or any creature in the Halo universe, at least for funsies. Gears of war 3 has beast mode, although making a game mode for only playing as creatures isn't as cool as it being what you'd play as when your not in map edit mode.
  7. ok so here is my idea for a campaign. overall it's much longer than halo 4 and goes back to the routes of halo (and by that I mean it's set on a halo instalation), the campaign would start about 3-6 months after halo 4 spartan ops ended Prologue: The prologue would start showing Jul Mdama and his fleet arriving at instalation 03, Jul would turn to Halsey and say "you said it would only take a month to find," Halsay would then say "I know, I was wrong, but we found it, that's all that matters," now I know in spartan ops they find the location to all the instalations, but considering the galaxy spans 100,000 light years, the location they found wouldn't show the exact location of the ring. Anyways, then it will show a scene from 2 weeks before that, it would show chief talking with Lord Hood, who would send him off to guard 1 of 3 bases (the base guarding the map room) on instalation 03. Then it would go back to present time, showing the chief with a few marines (including a sergeant similar to Johnson,) one of the marines will then yell "look" while pointing at one of Jul Mdama's ships. The chief would then say "get to work" while loading an assault rifle. Mission 1: this mission would start with a quick first person cutscene that would show the chief looking ath the enemy ship, he would then see a bunch of phantoms unload from the carrier. the chief would then be contacted by lord hood to defend the map room at all costs. The chief would begin aiding the new sergeant guy and his squad defend one of the entrances against a few waves of covenant, then he would be contacted by another sergeant who had just let some covenant slip past his defences and enter the map room, the chief would then go in to the map room to stop them, the next part of this level would be sort of like the part of the silent cartographer where your in the map room by yourself, except a bit longer, I think this could have a very big map room. Upon the chief killing all the covenant and getting to the control panel of the map room, the new sergeant guy would tell chief that a huge wave of covenant is approaching. The chief would then have to fight covenant until his shields go down. Then a cutscene would begin, showing chief getting shot by a few elites, the chief would then take his knife and stab an elite in the back, he'd then lift up the elites body and use it to block another elites plasme fire, he'd then get shot in the back by a few plasma rounds and then fall to his knees, but then the new sergeant and his marines (about 10 of them) would come in and save the chief (yes, this new sergeant saves the chief, unlike how the chief had to save Johnson 50 times.) The level would then continue to have chief and the marines continue to guard the map room against more waves, every time the player gets down to about 3 marines 3 more will come inbetween waves of covenant, finally after about 10 waves (each with about 20-30 covenant,) Lord Hood will tell chief the area is secure, he'll then say that the ship that was attacking touched down about 10 clicks away, the level would then end with the chief exiting the control room with the new sergeant guy and 4 marines, they'd then board a pelican, it would show the pelican (with a scorpion) take off, the view would then show the enemy ship (an assault carrier) before fading to black. (About 1 hour long) mission 2: This mission would start with the pelican dropping off the scorpion, the chief, the new sergeant and the 4 marines, there would be a marker (about 2 km away) over the gravity lift into the ship, the chief would then drive the scorpion through a large cave. Upon reaching the end of the cave he would get attacked by a ton of ghosts, a few wraiths and banshees and maybe a few revnants or spectres or even a new vehicle. The chief would then proceed further and would start getting attacked by more vehicles, also some phantoms could drop off some ground forces also, I think it would be cool if after this part Lord Hood could offer chief some more assistance, then it would actually be up to the player if they want reinforcments or not, if they take the reinforcments then a pelican would come and drop off a warthog with a driver and a gunner. There would then be a curvy slope (similar to the one in assault on the control room right before you have to exit your scorpion,) when getting to the bottom there'd be few ghosts and a wraith that would start attacking. Also if the warthog ever blows up then the chief will be able to call in for a new one every 5 minutes. After killing the few ghosts and wraith the chief will have to go through a large cave full of ground forces, and maybe a ghost or 2. Upon exiting the cave the chief will get attacked by a few banshees a wraith and a pile of ghost, this area will be a large battle enviroment and a few phantoms will drop in some ground forces aswell. After the chief kills all the vehilces a scarab will fall from the sky, the chief can then choose to call in 2 aerial vehicles (either hornets or falcons.) After the scarabs legs collapse the will have to board the scarab (because the back will not be able to be broken off, so he can't just shoot it with the scorpion.) By this point the chief wouldn't be far from the grav lift, he'll have to go through a narrow opening in the cave, by this point the hornets or falcons (if still alive) would've left, while in this narrow opening a few ghosts and ground forces would attack. When you exit the opening you'd enter a giant battle field, the battlefield would have 4 bases each with 4 turrets on the roof and 4 at the entrances on the bottom floor (1 about 500 metres form each point of the grav lift.) The Chief could then call in for more reinforcments (2 warthogs, 2 scorpions and 2 hornets or falcons and 2 mongooses aswell as about 20 marines.) the enemies would have about 5-10 ghosts, 2-4 wraiths, about 100-150 ground forces, 8 sniper nests, and 5-10 revnants or spectres, aswell as 5-10 banshees and maybe a scarab or 2. Anyway about half way through the batlle Lord Hood would tell chief that Jul Mdama and Halsay are on that ship, and that he has to get them at all costs. At the end of the battle when the chief would get near the Grav lift wave after wave of covenant will drop off from, after 5 waves it will stop. A cutscene would start showing chief slowly walking towards the grav lift, then the new sergeant would yell "go, go, go" then 10 marines will run past each side of the chief onto the garv lift, the last one will on the left side will bump the chief, turn aroung and yell out "sorry, sir." (slightly more than an hour long) I'll post more soon.
  8. Here is the Halo 4 panel from PAX east where the 343 team discusses all things multiplayer for Halo 4. They talk to us about the new TU coming, the new castle map pack and we get a demonstration of the new forge world. So enjoy. The video was uploaded by Podtac TV.

  10. Halo 4 Armour Review: Hey Guys! Raxs_Slayer back here again on teh 343 forums. Today i'm goign to rant about halo 4's armour. These are my opinions, maybe yours a different, please share them respecively thanks! The Armour: Recruit: - A Really nice looking armour! It has a nice classic halo feel, sort of reminds me of ODST. - I rate this 8/10 CIO: - Very unusual! But i do appreaciate the idea of spartan secret forces. Whereas i might not appreacite the looks as much, it's a great idea! - I rate this 6/10 Gungir: - Very nice! An Excelent twist on the classic. I must say i do like Halo reach's gungnir much more but this one does hit the spot, heavy armour, that's what it's about. - 7/10 Fotus: - Well, you may not look like a spartan but you are BE-AY-UU-DIFUL! Very nice aethetics, agressive and intimidating. - 10/10 Hazop: - This for me is almost a perfect helmet. 343 really did manage to make this look like a heavy spartan. Looks very UNSC, and looks a much better Hazard Operative helmet than reach's! - 9/10 Infiltrator: - Well, well. This is very wierd for halo. But that doesn't mean i don't appreacite it. This guy looks like he can take some damage, if they body armour was bigger this guy would look perfect! But that is however quite a big flaw in this armour, too skinny. - I rate this 6/10 Mk.VI: - Well! Looks who's back! Nice helmet, god ole' classics, you can't beat em! - 8/10 Oceanic: - Great idea, but for me, this helmet is massively lacking detail! And sadly looks a bit outdated. Looks more 1900s that 2200s. - 3/10 Orbital: - 343! What's that skull dooing there! No, i get what you were tryign to do, but it doesn't work for me. Beutiful design, i loved the origional models without the skull. But now looks like he should have been more careful painting his house! - 5/10 Recon: - Well done 343! This is defintly helment that looks good as a classic! I did like the heavily armoured model you were origionaly going to introduce more but this works too! Nice one! - 6/10 Strider: - I just though wow! when i saw this one. Really awesome. Looks likes a deathsport spartan. Propper griffball armour. Super nice! Definitly a fave! - 9/10 Scout: - Cool! I like how you have gone with the risk of using the halo 3 model. Definitly matches halo 4's other helmets more. Good job! - 7/10 Solider: - Agressive, Intimidating, This is what you need in a helmet. Really good Job! If onyl the mouth piece was better :S - 5/10 Vanator: - Wow! Where did this come from? Really unusual, but you can't say it's not awesome. Big risk! But nice armour! - 7/10 Warrior: - Cool helmet! Looks like a blast pyro mask! Nice design, heavily armoured. but not for me. - 4/10 Deadeye: - This is a funny fellow. But he does look awesome. I love the narrow squinting design. Truly looks like a sniper! - 8/10 Locus: - Simply looks brutal! Amazing helmet! Possibly the best helmet i have seen in halo! - 10/10 E.O.D: - Beasty! He looks just like the reach model with a heavily armoured look! The best it's ever been! Nice one 343! - 9/10 Aviator: - Looks exactly like it short, shot and sweet, this helmet is epic! - 6/10 Warmaster: - Does look a lot like a promethean. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to carve a skull into their visor! but hell it looks awesome! - 6/10 E.V.A: - Classic, yet modern. I like the more curved look! - 6/10 Enforcer: - Some swanky new armour! Looks cool. Heavy, agressive. I just think the visor looks a little too sunk in. - 5/10 Vanguard: - Incredible, just incredible. One of the best looking helmets in halo history! New, futuristic, unique. - 10/10 Air assault: - Very nice. I'm not sure if it's better than reach's but it's different. I wouldn't wear it though, doesn't suit me. - 2/10 Scanner: - Really interesting design! I would love that helmet without the scanner though. I can see somethign awesome underneath! - 5/10 Commando: - Massive, agressive, heavy, just plain awesome. Looks exactly how a field commander should! Flawless design! - 10/10 Ranger: - Oh my. Looks very wierd. Definitly a love hate helmet. But i suppose it's one that is more about the principle of unlocking rather than show. It does remind me of starwars for some reason though. but i do think it is rather awesome. - 7/10 Protector: - Definitly one of the best! Heavy, no visor? Who cares! When you look this good who needs a visor? - 10/10 Raider: - This does look rather cool. Very interesting. I don't think i'd wear it but it is a nice idea. - 4/10 Defender: - This really does match the name. The face seems flat and shielded just like you'd imagine. A very clever design. - 6/10 Engineer: - A very, very nice helmet. I love the unusual design and aesthetics. Especially the small visor. Amazing design, very out of the ordinary. - 8/10 Operator: - A fantastic new looking armour, very circular and mechanical design. Looks pretty damn good. - 8/10 Pioneer: - Looks very alien indeed. However i love the two visors and how the helmet looks as a whole. Very intriguing, love the design, but not something i'd wear. - 4/10 Pathfinder: - Possibly one of the most ingeniously designed helmets out there! Amazing aesthetics, angular and agressive. - 9/10 Wetwork: - Very nice design! I remember a halo 3 fan submitted helmet that looks just like it. Very assassin style, streaked, looks very agile. but not for me. - 4/10 Stalker: - I'm going to be honest. That thing looks like a damn lizard! But hey? That's awesome. It looks really interesting and very far fetched. But i love it. - 8/10 Rogue: - Very, very cool. Looks like a hard and heavy style Orbital helmet. Looks completely bad*ss to me. - 8/10 Tracker: - Love this one! Has those awesome 3 lights on top of the visor. Looks very space age and futuristic with that classic halo feel. Genius design! - 9/10 Thanks for reading everyone. I hope you enjoyed my review. Let me know what you think in the comments! Over and out.
  11. We say that we want more maps and bigger ones, but that's all we say and 343 ends up developing the whole maps themselves. Who says the players can't make the ideas and 343 just animates and codes them in? It saves on lots of time and stress for the early stages of development, and it makes us happy too. Here are some templates: - Forest - Snow - Desert - Canyon - River - Cliffs - Earth - Sanghelios - New Mombasa theme - Other planets - Space - Indoor (building) - Indoor (ship) - Indoor (other) - Objective-related map - Open area - Narrow area - Dogfight area - Arena - Human - Forerunner - Covenant - Halos **Possible rating and/or voting if this thread goes successful. Tip: Map your idea(s) on paper - with contour lines if you're good at it. And be sure to describe your map as much as possible! Huge and small maps are welcome. I will be posting my ideas.
  12. Alright 343, first things first, I think halo 4 rocks. And that's from someone who was very skeptical before playing. The only problem I have is the map sizes, they're all huge! Don't get me wrong, most are great for big team, and there are a few exceptions (haven, abandon to a degree) but overall the maps are way too big for 4v4. I'm a big swat fan and all we really need is two or three simple, uncluttered, concise maps like haven. There's no way that I'm the only one who thinks this too, I've only once seen haven come up as an option and not seen it selected. Maybe I'm wrong, throw in a reply if you agree or disagree. Anyway, overall good job, but some simple small maps would be greatly appreciated.
  13. I feel that the halo 4 forge is some what good. But within the first 2 minutes of checking out the forge, I absolutely hated it and I will tell you why....they literally got rid of custom maps.... If you dont know what I meen by that, then I will tell you. Remember in previous forges there was one thing that made the forge worth while to spend hours and hours in for? It was the ability to change the map that you chose to something completely different. What do I meen by that? Well using the boxes and crates and the ability to suspend items in mid air to create a combat area, or even a death trap. When I went into forge in halo 4, it does have a lot of functionality which is good. But the main...and in my opinion the biggest key feature is lacking...the ability to add Large scale objects, to suspend them in midair. This causes folks to use their imagination and create something truly unique. Mazes, Race tracks, Zombie Fortresses, or simply adding a second level to walk on so that it adds an extra challenge to the map. Thats one thing that Bungie will seem to keep over 343 Ind. is that they took their own maps and created new ones using the forge, added them to the XBL map playlist and let the players decide if its worth keeping or not. How do you think grifball was invented? Exactly it was a custom forge game that if you were to try and create now...in Halo 4's forge... you would not be able to because you cannot remove large scale objects or ramps or anything of that nature... Im not the best with my words but I try to make things make sense. I seriously doubt that 343 will add this function to Halo 4, but seriously....343 Ind., You need to step it up. Ive played Halo since the original Combat Evolved title. Do not ruin this game for me.....Its a good game but when you remove the core features that players like and EXPECT, and make it a dumb newb version.....it pisses a lot of people off. And thats what Forge is right now....It used to be great, you just dumbed it down is this way. In previous Halo's that contained Forge. I would spend countless hours, just letting my mind wander on what to create. I would do all kinds of things. But with Halo 4.....I have yet to spend even 5 total minutes in there. That is the difference between Halo 4 forge, and previous forges... Post your pro's and cons of Halo 4 Forge. Maybe 343 Ind can use it to make Forge into what it is supposed to be and not a half *** "we let them control what weapons are on the map and thats it" type of forge on an unrelated Note.....wtf happened to Halo Reach hornet or the covenant vehicles that are not the ghost...one thing I liked was the balance of vehicle support.... This is Halo 4....did bungie not sell the rights of those vehicles to you?? what gives At this point I am going to place 343 Ind under the same type of practices as EA Games. Removing key functions that a lot of players enjoyed. Not thinking well enough about how to make the game....needing to install disc 2?? good one guys...one would think you could have just split up the campaign and multiplayer onto 2 different discs but no, you have to MAKE US waste hard drive space to play otherwise... I am not a designer, I am not a huge nerd who knows programming language....but My grandma and I could make a better Halo then 343 Ind....You did well on the campaign I will give your that, I really enjoyed that, otherwise its a CoD replacment with stupid loadouts and ordinence....basicly the same as CoD. Did people cry too much over getting killed while trying to go for the oversheild or camo or sniper rifle?? Were they not able to man up and get better? Guess not
  14. Halo 4 was a good game, interesting storyline, weapons weren't too shabby, but if there's one problem I had with it, it's the choices for your character in Multiplayer being limited to only Spartans. No elites like in older games. It was disappointing, it really was. However, everything else was good, I can't complain much. I just want to spice up the Multiplayer in Halo 5 if possible. make it a bit funner. Imagine the possibilities. Now, spartans, you know them, you love them, decent speed and decent defenses, usually sprint as their default abilities, but the two character models that twist that a bit are the Elites and the Knights. Elites had joined the Spartans in Multiplayer in Halo 2, I was thinking they could be slightly faster than Spartans, but they take a bit more damage when their shields are down. Their default armor ability is half of the effect of a thruster pack, just jump out of the way of something. Only goes half the distance as a thruster pack, but works like Evade in halo Reach. Now imagine playing as a promethean knight. Knocking enemies forward and back with a robo-attack. They move a bit slower than Spartans, but they also take a bit less damage when their shields are down. Their default ability is Teleport. Now I know what you're thinking. "How's that fair?" Well we could make the Knight's teleportation more predictable with a blue Point A light and an orange Point B light where the teleporting player will be. Knight shields can't recharge when teleporting, there's a very short time limit how long you can stay vanished before you reappear at Orange Point B, and there's a strict distance limit. Do you agree or disagree?
  15. Okay, so there are some things i liked about halo 4, and some things that they made even worse than reach. Vehicles: They are too week. Vehicles are what make halo stand out among the other shooters. There fun and are necessary for when you want to mix it up for a while. The counter argument that people will abuse vehicle use is useless and unfounded, as well as counter productive to the halo series to not have or have weaker vehicles. What's with magically punching a vehicle and having parts from random pieces break off? It's unrealistic and doesn't make you feel any better about defeating a vehicle because its too easy. In reach, killing a wraith was a skill, here no one cares. Plus, you should be able to hijack a vehicle by breaking only the cockpit protector and killing the occupant. This will keep the balance of the one who got there first has an easier time staying alive, while the new occupant is easier to kill. You should be rewarded for doing something hard, not a watered down you get nothing for doing something boring It degrades the experience and will give cod and battle field more players- bad biusiness. However, the grenade thing was a good idea. I also think that instead of busting the tank if you have no grenades when you hop onto the back, you should be able to climb up onto the gun and cause damage to that. if you hop onto the side, it should take just a bit longer to get to the front How to fix it: patch the punching crap, I consider it a glitch and it was annoying enough in Reach Fire arms: Nice job! I love the amping up of the covenant weapons and making them farther, faster, more accurate, and more painfull. I don't need to comment on the foruners as everyone likes them. Forge: Bad job, discraseful and shameful job. The maps are smaller, and they should have kept the tin cups old traits because it slowed some objects when dropped from the sky, so you could bury them in the ground and have the only succesful drop pods that didn't kill you and without the other tacky, second-rate solutions. Marketing scam in dominion: I don't apretiate being lied to about dominion, I only bought halo 4 before hearing critics because there was a comercial with the buildings actually building form the ground and they mentioned strategy, which seems to be abandoned and watered down to just plain shoot'em up with a slight twist. Vehicle selection: Lazy half-*** job guys, bravo. Cut the crap and add all past vehicles into the forge and make the hornet control like the pelican and have faster ascent/decent and straif. There was also hype about being able to fly serefs, pelicans, and scarebs in forge and custom games. you guys disapointed us by being so failure-oreinted. Campaigne: Great job with few issues. cortana's death was un-emotional, thus defeating the purpose of killing her off, though if she survived again I would have been iritated also, because it would defeate the pourpose of her death being an issues. As a side note, I would like to note that the cut scene with the scientists was the sadest part because it was more emotional, and you could feel so bad for them. I was glad they were killed because now they don't have to suffer emotionally their whole life, making me feel like it was justified. diadact ship: epic diadact last fight, but dum ending. the fight was epic, but the nuke didn't make any sence. It didn't even detonate when triggered, and chief got teliported after it should have exploded. it was also unnecesary as the the ship was no longer a threat even though it was still firing. It would have only been firing on the same city it already composed, and the composer could have been taken by the unsc and been usede as a political weapon against the covanent. plus, the fact that the librarian is still alive could have been exploited in that she would inherit control of the ship (as long as she didn't murder him, of course). Earth assault: the covanent could have destroyed the earth, but were probably told to leave as the diadact had an ego the size of a planet, thus making sense, but i would like to note that earth is no longer the strongest planet, siince it has already been over runned, and humanity also has other planets, which would be easily upgraded as earth's demand for resources was lessened do to the masecre Elites and covanent: makes sense. the profits obviously want the elites back in to end their alliance, and they only would have to honour them for saving the covenant and put them back into power to reastablish control. The more ***-kissing they do, the more control they have. For the brutes, there is no reason why they shouldn't have been replased shortly after their rise to power, since they failed and were and unstable society. All they were was a tool for the new covanent party anyway, and it was the elites that saved every single one of them, and even though they rebelled and were independant for a while, their future reloyalty was highly likely anyway. They only joined us to save life, but they rebelled because they were replaced. if they were only replaced, they would still have rebeled and not allied themselves with us. Forge nuances- problems and good things: obviously the magnet and quick dupe was a great idea and i'm sure user data is too, once it is understood enought to be used. however, the physics where you put things on normal and they become fixed after a while has prevented many good ideas in forge on reach. We could have easily made psudo destructable ship wars where the buildings stayed on normal physics and when the bariers and explosives would hold them up until destroyed. forge ideas for the future: bbesides needing all the vehicles, as well as fuel rod gun wraiths and fuel rod gun shade turrets and those blue flack turets in fogre, there needs to be a few more options. You need to be able to: glue pieces together so they act as one building (when paired with my persistant normal phisics idea) and beable to de attach after enough force is applied. we need to beable to set some destructible objects to triger events in buildings such as physics change and destruction, and noncolide so parts can fall through them map and get deleted, thus saving data. buildings need to be modable to where they can take damage which would be user specified and the type of weapons efect it diferetntly. there needs to be some sort of shield thing (in halo 5) that can be alloud to cover buidlings, and air locks need to be scripted so efects like from Reach's map anchor can hapen. imagine how epic the experience would be if the environment changed, even just a bit, when damage is dealt. Why the developers need to head my advise: because you need to keep your investment interesting so you get your money back and gain a profit? DUH! halo is already on the downhill slope, so you need to act now. dont save the changes for later, because it may already be to late one example is given by nintendo. The reason why they are failing is because they banned the cod franchise so long that people like me had time to save up for an xbox (finally) thus deleting the interest i had in the wii. I loved the wii more than xbox because i could easily become more coordinated with the game by using my eye hand coordination skills to make me better faster. I was headshotting people with the most inacturate guns accross the map within a few months with the wii, but the xbox anologue stick makes no sense whatsoever and thus needs years to get a fraction as good. plus, the new kids would like the ease of being able to skill up faster. An extra tip for developers: theres no reason you can't change your halo 4 game now and fuel the interest in the series. patches already are constantly addes so i do't know why things cant be addressed, now before your customers jump ship. I had an idea for the connect of how to achieve the wii effect without having to get new controllers, but i don't want to give my idea away. as soon as i can pattendt that idea, I'm going to sell it.

    Complex

IMO, Complex is the WORST map I have ever played n any Halo game. Does anyone even like this map? First off, lets start with the map balance. Clearly, Complex is a non-symmetrical map. One side of the map is an abandoned mess of useless buildings with no role in the map. The other side is a DMR Sniper resort. The building has 2 floors which are both extremely camp-able On the top, you have an open roof that overlooks the entire map! Great for DMRs right? Oh, and did I mention that there is little to no cover in this map? Ghosts: This map has too Ghosts on it. With the cover that isn't in this map, the people in the Ghost can easily mow people down as they run along, over and over and over. Spawns: The spawns on this map are horrid. Once again, with no cover on the map, you are constantly spawning in the open. I remember I got spawn-killed four times from the roof. When you finally get the relief of spawning elsewhere, The enemy's Ghost will be happy to clean you up. This map has no role in competitive gameplay, tell me your opinion on the map.
  17. All those that want to see Team Doubles as a permanent playlist say, "Aye!"
  18. Shield Recharge Rate: Does anyone have the problem of getting picked off right after getting a kill? I usually kill an enemy while my shields get dropped. In 4v4 Slayer, usually there will be multiple enemies at once. He will usually take 1-2 shots to finish me off. Sometimes, if I am lucky I can get away. The problem is, there might be another enemy just around the corner. Sometimes, my shield just won't go up fast enough, and then I get killed. I think the shield recharge rate at the time is the same as it is in previous Halo games. This particular one though, has a much faster pace to it, thanks to sprinting and long range weapons. The shield recharge rate being the same however, makes you have to hide almost every time you get a kill. Added in with sprint and flinch when getting shot, this game caters to chasers. If you're getting chased the only hope you have is a teamate. I have explained my thoughts. Please tell me what you think.
  19. Team doubles will be added to Halo 4's multiplayer next week and it will include 3 team doubles gametypes which is Infinity team doubles, team doubles pro and CTF team doubles. Read below for more details Credit to Sykowolf for finding this. This article is from Gamesptot. The first is Infinity Doubles, which lets players choose a custom loadout and allows for instant respawn and use of radar. Ordnances will become active at the traditional 70-point mark, but options are adjusted specifically for Team Doubles, 343 said. Games are played to 300 points. Doubles Pro features preset game loadouts (available at the 343 website) and the score limit is the same as above. However, radar, personal ordnance, and instant respawn are toggled off. Third, CTF Doubles is a customized version of the Capture the Flag game mode for teams of two. Custom loadouts and radar are enabled and respawn timers are set to 10 seconds. Flag locations have been tweaked, 343 said, to "provide an optimal experience for small maps and teams." Rules of the game are: five flags to win, three-second return, and 15-second rest. In addition, gamers do not need to have their flag home to score. A finalized map pool is still being worked on, though 343 said modified versions of Haven, Abandon, and Solace will be included, as well as some Forge-made maps. In addition to announcing and detailing Halo 4's new Team Doubles playlist, 343 also revealed two new specializations will be added to the mix next week. They are Rogue and Tracker. More details are available on the 343 website. Also on tap for Halo 4 in February is the game's next multiplayer map pack. The Majestic expansion adds new environments Landfall, Monolith, and Skyline to the mix. View full article

  21. I've been playing AC III multiplayer and at the end of each match, the top 3 accolades are shown on screen along with an animation for the best one. For example, if you had the most kills, you character is shown stabbing, punching and killing 3 enemies like a boss! What if a similar system was brought in Halo 5? Like "Most multi kills", showing your Spartan/Elite killing some enemies in a flash or "The Assassin", your player performs an assassination. It would be great to have this in the game. Rate, comment and sub- wait, just post your thoughts

  23. In this thread, I will select the ideas I deem most beneficial for Halo's future and post them here for all to see. Some of these ideas are mine, some aren't. Hopefully this thread will become a convenient place to keep up to date with the best ideas. And so it begins: 1) Hunter gun: Rip the gun off of a Hunter's arm to use like a turret, and voila. (Note: the Hunter gun was buried in H4's code.) 2) Flare gun: Fires one flare that lights enemies on fire. Good for taking down Tank flood forms. (Not a replacement for the Flamethrower) 3) Mini-Scarab: It's exactly what it sounds like. Reminiscent of the spider drones in SW: Attack of the Clones. MP counter to Mantis? 4) Needle Sniper Rifle: A possible replacement for the Beam Rifle, supercombines players with a headshot and takes three body shots to kill. Size of clip/rate of fire: undetermined. 5) Specter 2.0: Driver has a blue gun, turret launches one Plasma Grenade at a time (requires more skill than a Plasma Mortar). Two passengers, moderate boost for splatters. 6) Boltshot 2.0: Fully automatic alternate firing mode instead of overcharge. 15 normal shots, 45 automatic shots. 7) Firefight with the addition of the Flood: Oh yeah. (Most popular request!) 8 ) Fence (Forge object) : The opposite of a shield-door; it blocks players and allows bullets to pass through. (Applications in aesthetics and making maps look much bigger than they actually are) This piece looks much more natural than the glass in Forge, and it does not cause a loss in frame rate. 9) Arby!: You know you want him (winky face) 10) InstaGiB: A mode taken from NOVA 2, a game for iOS; free-for-all game type in which you have sniper rifles with unlimited clips--but you can't scope in. Sure to create some sick montage moments 11) Precipitation Forge FX: Snow, rain, hail; these would be great for Flood maps. 12) Sandbox 2.0: This Halo 3 Forge map was so simple yet so practical. It wouldn't take much time to develop and it has a lot of flat ground for terrain-savvy Forgers. New twist: you can change the environment from sand to snow, moon rock, dirt, or a giant UNSC floor so you don't have to expend your budget on those glitchy wall coliseum floors. I'll update this list every once in a while, so check back to see if your idea is listed. And in the meantime, hopefully this thread isn't removed for redundancy. Just a reminder: this isn't really a thread to post all your ideas on--go to "The Official What You Do and Do Not Want in Halo 5" thread for that. I'll be skimming around and selecting the most promising ideas, as the name of the thread implies. If you have a comment about a specific idea I included, simply type the idea number and list your thoughts. Cheers, and safe!
  24. Halo 5 Armour: Suggestions Hey everyone, i'd like to take a moment to propose some ideas and concepts for some halo 5 armour. Firstly i'd like to show everyone some concepts i have designed myself. (More may be added to the post) I am hoping to one day make it in the gaming industry and a pitcher and designer, what this armour originally was was armour that i am making for my own FPS game Pitch. Seeing as i am still in collage and maybe quite far from pitching a game, i may as well see if these armour are good enough for Halo. Interceptor: I drew this helmet freehand, The fashion i was trying to project with this helmet is Brutal, Heavily Armoured, Sleek and Technical. The purpose of wearers of this helmet would be to intercept enemies from primary objectives. This would be done in an all risk full brutality firefight. The heavy design and lack of a visor suggests a very technical nature of this gear. Ranger (Original name) Fine Liner Free Drawing: Fully Rendered: This helmet is by far one of my favorite concepts, sadly currently sharing the name of a current halo 4 helmet measures will have to be ensured to change this. This helmet is designed for rogue scouts that patrol of recon an area. The visor clearly shown wraps around the front and side of the helmet, giving well over 180 degrees puerperal vision. Another matter i would like to address is how th armour affects us. Halo armour has always just made our Spartans look pretty, i think it is time they got giving a use. Armour pieces should now be given designated statistics. My suggestion to these are as follows: Mobility / Weight: Damage Resistance: (Maybe more) These statistics show that armour should affect the player in terms of battle and mobility. It would create interesting ways in which players can play the game. Players should also have the ability to have a transparent visor, removed helmet, or removed armour pieces. Upon shooting places that armour was removed the player will take much more damage. Another suggestion i would like to make is to make sure that all armour is achievable. I loved the armour in Halo 4, but some armours are just too hard to get or completely unachievable. Examples: Stances: (Breach, Believe and Standoff) are all far too hard to get! They should be made much easier and should suit a play style instead of getting kills with a bunch of weapons. I have seen one person with Breach and one with believe. Standoff is just ridiculous, No gametypes have fuel rod cannons, beam rifles or gravity hammers even spawn! Sorry 343, but thats Crazy! Assault stance is achievable, but still far to hard. Armour: Vanguard, Protector (Skin), Commando, are just out of the question ridiculous. I have never seen anyone with these armours. And disappointingly there are my favorites. They would take bare months to achieve. A set of armour that requires a designated goal should only take a bare maximum of 8 Solid gameplay hours to achieve. (If i could make a suggestion, It shouldn't require the "Master" level on a commendation. I feel that the level master is very fair, but you shouldn't be required to reach it for all armours. Visors: Verdant was very hard to get and far too enduring. I feel if it was lowed by at least half it would be fair. I forget the name of it but the red visor requiring avenger medals is very hard. The message i am trying to get across here (And i definitely don't blame 343, it was their first game and they wouldn't have known how it would go down) but now they know (: so c'mon 343! One last thing that isn't entirely relevant. I Don't think all specializations should be available for unlock straight away, some should be restricted until you have done more, per say, completed a number of specializations. I hope you enjoyed my ideas. Thank you for reading! (:
  25. I have got a really brilliant idea. How about you guys put custom games on the multiplayer and people who got maps and gametypes in their fileshare it randomly chooses someones map and gametype and everyone play it because i've been there where you've had no one to play with custom games so i think it would be an awesome feature if we could play custom games with random people and people who dont have maps can play but it doesnt choose any maps from them and it chooses maps from them who has got it in their fileshare
