  5. - 90% of all games are only between Complex, Adrift, Abandon and Haven, when there is 9 other maps on disc, plus the opportunity for 343i to atleast add Forge maps ffs. -SWAT is on rotation and 343i are removing it, even if it is temporary, that's dumb. -343i put so much effort into EXP banning people just for playing the game when they aren't boosting. -There isn't a system to boot people when they go AFK. -There's seemingly no 343i presence on these forums. -The DMR hasn't been balanced out. Just slightly lower its fire rate ffs. I'm beginning to think 343i doesn't care and are just map starving everyone to try and boost sales of the map packs. When you EXP ban your players, you are begging them to just play Black Ops 2. I'm not trying to sound arrogant or condescending, but a lot of Halo fans have been around longer than you 343i, you should tell Microsoft that sales will continue to be lackluster if they don't let you finish the game. A game is not ready for release when there are no maps, the playlists are a mess and you have to add in the ranking system post launch. I am mostly happy with Halo 4, these are just some problems I'm sure most of the community would like fixed. You aren't Bungie, you have to earn respect. Please read etc, but I doubt it.

Hey there, I don't know if 343 regularly checks these forums but I'm trying to give constructive feedback for them because I think they did a great job on Halo 4 but it could be even better. -The Meta Game: Currently there isn't that much of a reason to replay Spartan Ops after doing Legendary other than commendations. If you added the ability to turn on the Meta game in Spartan Ops and Campaign, and also added a leaderboard, this would create more of a buzz around Spartan Ops and we could compete for high scores. -Spartan Ops Special Episodes: I was thinking that maybe you could incorporate Red vs Blue into Spartan Ops for special episodes/seasons (like a Christmas special) where players play as new recruits into Blue and Red team, having a unique mission to complete and are instructed by Caboose and Church etc. Here is an example of a mission they could do - There is a giant Grunt that is filled with too much methane gas and the Prometheans are trying to kill it because it shouldn't be there, worst of all Serge just bought a brand new Mantis and if the Grunt blows up the Mantis' wax finish will be ruined, so highjinks ensue. You could string these specials together to create a bonus mini series within Spartan Ops. -TrueSkill Ranks: I heard you guys are implementing TrueSkill, please have them be based on wins/losses, kills/deaths and bring back hit ratio's which could also contribute to rank progression. Have them be symbols not numbers, and display them next to the player's SR number rank. -Clan Support: You could have a Clan section in the roster menu, where you can start a clan, accept/decline clan invites, send out invitations and there could be a Clan Kudos system where the clan gains Kudos for playing in a full party of clan members or completing daily/weekly/monthly clan challenges. -Playlist Refinement: At the moment there too many playlists and no variety within each one. Create a 'Team Objective' playlist combining King of the Hill, CTF, Dominion and Oddball. You could also bring back game varients for each, such as One Flag. -DMR: Slightly lower the fire rate. Currently it's a bit OP. I would really love 343 to make these additions. I think old and new players would aswell. Please respond to this topic 343 and/or forum moderators so I know that topics like this are actually read and worth doing.

  8. I was thinking how I should approach this post and how I should get this point across... I considered going with ‘Spartans need more face armour’ or simply ‘Arrgggh!’ but then I realised that no matter what I do or how levelly I look at this it is going to get flamed to hell by a large chunk of the community once I insult their precious Battle Rifle... I’ve just had a game, one of many, in which the entire enemy team took to using Battle Rifles and backing away from every single encounter firing. Now some of you are surely going to say this is not an issue and just how the game is played... or rather, given the mindset of these people I’m expecting a lot of variously illiterate comments along the lines of: ‘LOL AM NOOB YOU?!’ The problem is, besides from being annoying, this tactic doesn’t really seem to really make any sense in this game. Most players who operate like this rarely seem to bother with a sidearm or their abilities... features which in their eyes may as well just be removed. So it has to raise a question as to the balance of the game when one weapon is utilised so heavily that not only other weapons but also key game features simply go unused. The other issue I have with this is that the primary way of beating a team doing this is to do exactly the same thing... which means the game soon becomes very solely focused and all semblance of tactics go out the window. On the face of it Halo 4 seems to offer quite a good degree of customisation which allows individuals to explore and develop their own play style. Armour specialisations, abilities, upgrades and weapon loadouts should create a great deal of variety in the opponents you face. However when one style of play defeats all others with ease it leaves people little option but to do the same. In short individual preferences go flying out the window faster than a grunt targeted by a fuel rod cannon... Now I am not going to suggest the Battle Rifle be nerfed, surely such a thing would be tantamount to heresy. I mean clearly the developers have decided that it should be able to beat automatic weapons at close range and that its ability to complete destroy armoured vehicles from across the map with its small calibre rounds is working as intended... but I feel as if one simple change could massively improve game play and balance issues. Reduce the speed at which you walk backwards. It’s that simple. The Battle Rifle can still be a flak cannon, shotgun and sniper rifle all rolled into one confusing bundle but just reducing the rate at which you can back peddle ever so slightly, I think, will make the game not only more balanced but more enjoyable. It would mean that when you have someone charging you down with the oddball they are actually a threat. It would make automatic weapons rightly more powerful in one on one close range fights. Most importantly it would just make sense. I mean as much as I’d love to see it there’s no 100m backwards sprint in the Olympics... Now perhaps everyone loves Battle-Rifle-back-peddling but when both teams are standing at opposite sides of the maps doing this it quickly resembles a game of duck hunt... The best games I’ve had were when both our team and the enemy used a variety of tactics and equipment. It meant you had to constantly adapt and weren’t sure what to expect next... that, ultimately, seems like the sort of game play Halo should revolve around. I’d dig out the box and quote it directly but if you recall, one of Combat Evolved’s main selling points was that you were the master of every weapon and that all vehicles were tools of destruction just waiting for a driver... it was not advertised as the ultimate ‘shoot each other in the face with a rifle until someone falls over’... game.
  9. So, I was wondering, how good or bad you did on your first 3 games. Post score (K/D), map and gametype. Mine are: 22-3 (yeah I was REALLY lucky), Complex, Infinity Slayer. 23-2 (Again, REALLY lucky), Ragnarok, BTB. (I admit I was a little campy and didn't get past the middle of the map with the sniper) 16-5, Adrift, Infinity Slayer. I think on my fourth or fifth game I got a perfection, but I'm not sure. I had something the others didn't, something no one saw, but me. Can you guess? Luck. (lol seriously)

Well I'd love to get a explanation on why I cannot get onto the halo 4 servers for matchmaking and spartan ops also the fact that I can't join any of my friends in any game type for the past 2 days now. The only thing that I can think of in a situation like this is that I have been banned if that were the cause then I will be uterlly angry because since halo 4 has come out I have played all the possible game modes, I have beat the game on legendary, I have done every spartan ops, and attaind sr55 completly legitamatly without the use of boosting (which you guys should look into cause people are doing it with you guys doing nothing about) and the yesterday I leave for an HOUR to got do something important I come back and then this happens. And before anyone says anything I have tried multible atempts to fix it if it were my internet connection but none of them work, so it. Must be from. The other side.

So I've been playing Halo 4 ever since it came out and i noticed that there is a significant balance issues when it comes to the weapons, specifically the precision rifles like the BR and the DMR. I've been messing around with the all the rifles to get a sense of how good they are and i think i came up with an assessment of how good the rifles are and i would like to hear your input about this. And i have no idea if the imbalances was on purpose by the 343 staff or not. So i think the most noticeably beastiest rifle out of the bunch is the DMR, hands down. The DMR is fast, powerful, easy to use, easy to get headshot with and is good both near and far. It will always have a red target reticle and a pretty fair distance and scope in makes it just as precise as out of the scope. The second best has to the Battle Rifle. The Battle Rifle is almost as good as the DMR but the 3 round burst makes the BR a little to slow especially against a proficient DMR player. But the BR seems to do the same amount of damage as the DMR. Also the BR target reticle doesn't seem to turn red unless your are close which might make it hard for some to get headshots. The 3rd rifle of choice would have to go to the Covenant Carbine. The Carbine is pretty fast but it lacks power. A lot of it actually. It usually takes almost the whole clip to kill somebody and usually by then I'm dead. The Carbine is only useful to take kills because it can get quick headshots or support which pretty much a DMR or BR is better for. The last rifle i would recommend is the Promethean Light Rifle. The Light Rifle is too slow and really weak. It's unpractical to use against a person using another gun, any gun. The two round burst is weak and it's what kills the weapon to be proficient. The upside to the Light Rifle is that if you zoom in the scope, the single shots actually do some damage and it takes up to 4-5 shots to kill a person but the Light Rifle also has the most zoom so if you get shot the scope might wobble a bit. Welp this is my rundown of the precision rifles on Halo 4. I hope this help most people. If you agree/ disagree just reply and we can discuss different or alternative ways of using them. Maybe somebody know how to unleash the potential in each rifle. Thanks for reading.
  12. Okay I know there are a few and maybe more people out there like me that are complaining about the matchmaking in halo 4 and I just want to share my opinion like everyone else. Don't get me wrong, I love halo 4 and enjoy the (most) of what I can when I play it, but if we just fix some (small) problems then I think this could be a Halo that would be fun for everyone. First off, WHY am I getting CoD problems when I play halo 4? In call of duty, I get mad at people camping in corners and all that stuff but why would that be a problem in halo? Well, you have the Boltshot weapon which is ridiculously Overpowered by people who like to wait in corners (either with Invis.) or just gladly sitting there waiting to just basically "plasma pistol" a guy to kill him with one charge. I would love to see that weapon nerfed but I honestly don't know how that is gonna be nerfed but hopefully you guys will fix it. Next, I am RARELY getting in DMR or BR battles with opponents anymore. Which made halo what it is today. (Competitive) How is sitting in a corner or just throwing grenade after grenade and spraying them down with the AR competitive? I'm just seeing so many CoD like stuff in Halo 4 that it saddens me we can't have what we used to have. You guys didn't need to put all these different guns in the game to make it so other gamers will come to halo. If you looked at Halo 2 and Halo 3 and saw how much success they had and how much people LOVED those games, why not take that into consideration? The halo competitive I remember is people using the SAME gun to kill other players because it was FAIR. That brings me to my next problem, the DMR is extremely better than the BR at any battle in halo. Whether it'd be close range to long range. If people can shoot the DMR fine, that gun is the best. What I suggest is keeping the playlists, but making gametypes like "Team BR's" or "Team DMR's". So everyone gets a fair chance and fair battles against there opponents. I actually just thought of that as soon as I wrote that and felt so happy if that was actually in halo 4. And if 343 has read what I wrote this far, I want to thank you so much because you are actually listening to your fans and helping halo get back to being that awesome game everyone wants to play. The last thing that I almost forgot to say is that the respawning in Halo 4 is not what I expected it to be. It's basically another Call of duty like aspect added into halo. Please 343, teams can barely get map control in certain gametypes where you need that to win the game. Instantly respawning in objective games is not what Halo used to be. You have a spawn time on Capture the Flag, but you don't have it on King of the Hill or Oddball where you need it most. Slayer isn't that big of a deal but it still could use a 3 second spawn time. Not INSTANTLY respawning and their whole team is full shields taking us out because we couldn't even recharge our shields after we killed off their team. It's just not halo. Well thank you if you read my arguments and took them into consideration, because I promise you...If you make some of these things happen...Multiplayer would be amazing. And that's coming from someone who loves halo and loves to get online and have fun in Matchmaking. Just get rid of some of these tiny problems and you will make your fans even more proud of you guys for making a great game we know and love..Halo.
  13. Ok so to start off Halo 4 is a pretty good game. An amazing game to be honest but there are a lot of things in the multiplayer that is unnecessary or is just off and i hope in due time they will be fixed. First off, the flow of an online match is hampered by grenades. Grenades in Halo are very important but since they made the levels (the levels are kinda ****ty) very little, grenades are always flung and it’s very annoying to walk in a hallway and see like literally 6 or 7 grenades hurled at you and you can’t do **** about it. And the fact that all the Spartans are weaker makes Halo 4 not feel right. I’m a Spartan. I should be able to take more than 2 shots and not die. They made the Spartans way too weak where being a clever player isn’t even feasible in this game. In past Halos, if i were to get jumped, i can outsmart them and come out alive, but on Halo 4 since I’m so weak i don’t even have that opportunity to pull out something out of my ass to save it. It’s better to be a safe player, like in CoD than a crazy one like in past Halos. But it’s not funner being that safe player. Second, all the Armor Abilities and perks are pretty much ****ty and they either needs to be fixed or scrapped. The Thruster Pack, Hardlight Shield (which seems to replace the Dodge Roll and the Armor Lock), AutoSentry, Regeneration Field are all new abilities but they fall short or simply do not work at all. Those new abilities tries to replace old ones but fall flat. Most of the perks literally don’t really help out at all and to be honest they aren’t even necessary. Not once will you say “Thank god i have that grenadier perk” because the perks pretty much do nothing to flesh out or personalize your character or the game. And most of the weapons seems like **** too. The only weapons that matter are all the human weapons, Mostly the DMR and Battle Rifle because they are clearly the best ones. Actually for that matter making classes is pointless as only 2 guns “work” and the perks not having an effect on the battlefield. This game tries so hard to be a Halo with a CoD skin over it and it really doesn’t work out at all. Actually what seems to work out the most is all the old stuff from previous Halos. The old weapons like the DMR/Battle Rifle are much better than the new Promethean Light Rifle or reintroduced Covenant Carbine. Old abilities like Hologram, Jet Pack and Active Camo seems to work very well, even better than in Halo: Reach yet the new stuff seems to just not work at all. I am certain in the future they will fix all of this but as of now, 343, the new **** you implemented just isn’t working, period. You need to fix all of this if you want people to keeping playing past the holiday season.

  15. I was playing BTB earlier, and once I boarded an enemy Scorpion, I didn't have the option to put a grenade into the tank even I had 2 frags. Same thing happened to a Wraith, I could only punch it, and it takes a looooong time to destroy it ( btw I got sniped -.-) Then, I played campaign to test it out, but I was able to put a grenade on a Wraith. NOTE: I boarded the Scorpion from the back side and the Wraith from the front, is that the matter? I'm really confused

This post has two purposes: One is to say that it is unfair that we lose out on double XP tokens for things out of our control, and the other is to say that matchmaking sticking you in partially completed games is a dumb idea. Ever since the day I heard that you can earn double XP, I've been searching stores for participating stocks of Dew and Doritos to buy them for the codes; a lot of the Dew that I bought was for the codes alone. Now, I hit my experience cap every day. I hate it, and it is stupid, and it makes me quit the game when I do, because I don't want to lose out on experience from commendations and challenges. I cap before I can even complete any weeklies! The first week, I lost double XP tokens to the now fixed bug where it deducted from your banked matches even after you capped. Today, I earned 5600 experience, and capped after just a handful of it. That's another one wasted. And the worst of all was when I was matched into a Big Team Slayer match that was 980 - 370, and the game ended in seconds. I got 123 XP total, and wasted another double XP token, which leads me into my next topic. None of these are my fault, yet my tokens were stolen from me. Those three alone are worth one product that I bought solely for the codes, and I feel I should be reimbursed. There's no way for me to get them back, and I paid money for them. Additionally, matching games in progress sounds good on paper, but it is a ridiculously unfair idea. The time where I got shafted by a game that was seconds from ending is just one example. Do you remember the day where there was a daily challenge to win 2 CTF matches? That took me five hours. Not because I suck, but because it kept putting me in games where we were already losing, often irrecoverably. It isn't fair to me, and I do not want to keep getting the short end of the stick. It takes a heavy toll on one's morale to keep being put in games where you have already lost, hour after hour. It's very frustrating, and it makes you want to quit. My experience is being ruined by the odds constantly being stacked against me, and by the system taking away the double XP that I bought and paid for. Why is there no meter for how close I am to the cap? I wished for that in Reach, and there still is none. So, I'm setting myself up for another "hit my cap right as I earn 10000xp worth of challenges".

Disclaimer: I am by no means discrediting what 343 has done, "crying", or stating "THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE OR I QUIT" I am only trying to add a suggestion and I put time and thought into this post so please, have the same courtesy when replying, voting, or giving your suggestions. Hello Community, I created a similar topic, in the general thread but feel that this thread for matchmaking is the better thread for a topic like this, seeing as this heavily involves the matchmaking system, etc. I want to first start out by saying that the lag compensation in the game right now is kind of game breaking. At times you feel like a boss out DMR-ing people, etc. and at other times you get the "WTF" just happened moment when the person out DMRs you and in the kill cam he is looking at the wall. I have an immense amount of experience in First Person Shooter games ranging from the (arguably most competititve) CounterStrike to the fun but still awesome BF3. I have been a fan of Halo for years and played at high levels in H2 (level 46 slayer legit) , H3 (multiple level 50s) and Reach (Onyx ranks). (The only reason I stated this was to give a foundation so that I do not get laughed out of the forum for being "bad" or "you just cannot aim", etc. Right now, we have something called lag compensation in the Halo 4 matchmaking system. This is a good mechanic. It needs to be in any modern game, it has been in games for years now and even other competititve shooters, such as, Counterstrike have come to develop the lag compensation system. Games that have succeeded in the implementation of this system allow for the user to "Damper" the lag compensation to meet the connection strength of the user. Games that have utterly failed in the lag compensation system are games, such as, MW3 that did not do this. A simple change is needed, and it would cost 343 next to nothing to implement. A damper system should be put in place for lag compensation. Why? It would give people who have good connections the ability to turn down the compensation and people with not so good internet connections the ability to turn it up. A system such as this would work: In the options menu, 343 could add something that deals with connection (duh). The menu would have three options: 1) Low (for higher connections) 2) Medium (For mid-grade connections) 3) High (for connection speeds that are considerably slower) Now I do not have numbers in front of me on connection speeds that would fit each category but for the purposes of this suggestion we could assume connections with a: 1) Low (connections with a rating of A to B ) 2) Medium (connections with a rating of C) 3 High (connections with a rating of D to F) These ratings could be obtained from speedtest.net and would allow 343 to implement a system that could suggest a damper for the user to select based on the following ratings or speeds. This would create a highly competitive and FAIR environment. The current lag compensation is not good, plain and simple. It catters to connections with lower connection speeds while punishing higher connection speeds. I am not the one to brag, but I have a B+ grade connection and I am lagging horribly during BR / DMR fights and this needs to stop. I have had instances where I get shot once, then the guy appears on my screen (well, lets do the math 1 second makes a difference in competitive play. You get one or two shotted before you can react you lose). I have read several posts that pertained to the kill cam showing people getting shot when they are not even being aimed at (this pertains to lag compensation). Community, let us vote on the ADDITION of a damper/buff system for lag compensation which would establish a fair and consistent environment for online competititve play. 343 has done many things right, and I feel that this is the big one they need to NAIL. Please keep the negative comments to the minimum and vote. We also do not need people crying out imbalances, flaming, or acting like a troll. Read this and understand this before you post to avoid negativity. We are all in this in the long run and 343 has had an extensive track record for listening to the community (i.e. Halo Anni. and Reach). If you think there could be a better way to add something like this to the game, please share your insight. Thank you community and happy gaming! -UnSeEnz EDIT: I forgot to add something, completely removing the lag compensation system is a NO. It needs to be in multiplayer gaming now to create more fair environments and having none is just... no. Plus it would be like reworking the ENTIRE network code and that is A)costly and like creating a whole new game. SO before you suggest "Remove l4g c0mpens4tion GRR" remember this. Plus, adding a dedicative server list is expensive, this is a less expensive awesome addition. EDIT EDIT: I just realized how innovative Halo online play actually is comparably to most games, would it not be absolutely electrifying if they were to develop a system for lag compensation settings for consoles? I shiver at how awesome this could be. The best way to get 343 to listen is to vote and keep this thread alive.
  18. Hello community, I generally do not post on game forums unless there is something that seems to be giving me problems (duh). I want to start by saying that I am exceptionally satisfied with Halo 4. I think 343 did an excellent job in creating an opener for the new Halo Trilogy. Now, please read the following with an open mind, I would prefer people to not rage on this topic / take what you see and completely disagree with the avid-Halo fan attitude (we do not want to create issues that we saw in Halo Reach in the opening months). First, the campaign was brilliant. The story was engaging and I felt like I was in a movie. This is a good thing, and I think more games need to follow suite. Second, the multiplayer is exceptionally good. I am a SR - 42 and I will tell you at times you want to throw the game out the window. The playlists add a degree of competitiveness and innovative (or combined) styles of play, i.e. dominion. Dominion is by far one of the best playlists out. It is so freaking good. Now, (please read carefully and do not jump to conclusions), I have been playing competitive first person shooters since Halo CE. I absolutely love Counterstrike and I loooove Halo 3. The problem I am seeing with Halo 4, that can be fixed, is lag compensation and the style of matchmaking. Lag compensation is evident in the matchmaking system and glaringly obvious when you are DMRing people. I actually did not notice for awhile until today. Maybe it is because Counterstrike GO and Source were similar in the respect that the game would cater to bad connection players. This is fine because Valve made an option available to the players to TURN DOWN the lag compensation if the player had a good connection or TURN IT UP if the player had a bad connection. This NEEDS TO BE ADDED INTO HALO 4! You cannot have a competitive multiplayer game and expect it to survive when good connection players are being punished without an option to damper the lag compensation. At the very least they can add an option in the menu to turn it up or down with settings like: low, medium, or high and give the players the option to select one. The game can even tell you what would be prefered under your connection type and would not break the game but make it awesome! Now any other opinions or suggestions would be great to give to 343 . Matchmaking, is whole other story. (I am not crying about matchmaking and trying to flame, etc. just want to give my opinion.) I think in the next few weeks or even a month from now, Halo 4 should have separate matchmaking playlists for ranked and unranked. What made Halo 3 so successful was the fact I could choose when to play competitively or choose to play not competitively. Much like Counterstrike (which is arguably the most competitive shooter), there were unranked playlists and ranked playlists in GO (Global Offensive). I am not trying to say "MAKE THE GAME LIKE COUNTERSTIKE OR BLACK OPS OR I QUIT" but I would like to have the ability to select if I want to try or not. Personally, video games are for fun. I do not want to play Final Boss and company (lol) every single game. Side note, please fix the connection issues for coop and spartan ops please 343 (Not detrimental but would be nice). Now, Halo 4 community, let us try to come up with logical and DOABLE fixes for the game. Taking out lag compensation would mean recreating the game, so that is not an option but to add something like an option to select your degree of lag compensation would BE EXCELLENT AND IT WORKS! The playlist issues we might see change soon, as ranked playlists will be out, but I would like to KNOW that I am doing unranked or ranked and be able to adjust my play accordingly. Please listen and take this opinion, as an opinion and a suggestion. Thank you, Unseenz EDIT: I want to add that I am only trying to give a suggestion that could save 343 money rather than completely reworking the servers (making them dedicated, etc.) This way it saves them money and helps us as gamers! EDIT EDIT: This is a new game, so let us not talk about imbalance of weapons, gear, etc. The game is near perfect, just needs a few tweaks.

    This is not a rant post, if you want to flame please do not do it here. I know 343 has a lot of updates planned, but as of right now we have no idea what there future intentions are for the game. So, here are my thoughts of what I think needs to be improvised about Halo 4 Matchmaking for the most part. SLAYER Pro/ Infinity Slayer:Matchmaking has ALWAYS been the competitive side of Halo. The system should not allow a game to start without an even number of players on each team. Too many times have I entered into a MM game and we have been outnumbered sometimes 5v3, but for the most part 5v4. This altars many things and causes a lot of issues. Such as: K/D ratio (Many players wish to keep this number in good standing), Win/Loss record (another stat a player would wish to keep in good standing), it takes the fun out of most of the game especially game types like oddball where one team mate has to hold a skull with no weapon to fire, thus making it practically 5v3 or 5v2 if the teams are unmatched like mentioned earlier. Team Doubles / 3v3 playlist: I have never heard of a playlist dedicated to 3v3, but I believe it would be quite a hit if it were made into a real game type. Some of us can not find a 4th player to play with, or maybe some of us are just like my team and would love to stick to a smaller more tactical 3v3 schematic setting. As far as Team Doubles..This game type should have never been removed from the Halo series in the first place. This is a huge game type not only in previous Halo games, but also GameBattles and MLG. Doubles is the one game type where you can use the chemistry with only a yourself and a friend, making it much more diverse, tactical, strategically difficult and would require more communication. Capture the Flag: Why is their no single flag game types? Single flag sets a whole new type of strategy for the two teams playing each other. You have to have a complex defense strategy for defending your flag only, as well as a well planned offensive strike against the opposing team set up to defend the flag. With only multi-flag it is like a slayer match with 2 flags on either side. Given it is fun and all, we all need a break from 2 flag CTF every now and then. Oddball: ....343 let me just start off by saying BRAVO with the ability to throw the ball. I love it, it gives it that extra sense of urgency and maneuverability that both teams need in order to win. The strategic setting of this game type has not doubled if not tripled in my own opinion. Not only that, but it opens up room for fun recreational custom game types like football or basketball. The one hit beat downs also do this game type justice. I like the fact that a defenseless player can 1 hit beat down another player, it makes the ball holder more useful and a skilled ball holder just as deadly as a defending team mate. Assault: Assault was such a fun game type that I can't imagine the reasoning behind taking it out of Halo 4. The fact that you had to get into a base by either sneaking or killing the opposing team, plant the bomb, and run out of the area to win the round..was just down right awesome.Assault is one of those game types that people would grow instantly excited when they realize the game they were playing. This should be implemented back into Halo! A few smaller things that kind of annoy me are: When sprinting, the time it takes for your reticules to show up after you stop the sprint. The fact that when hitting "back" to check the score, your guy can't move. There not being an ability to pair up with another team of 3 to make it 3v3 like back in the older Halo games. How weak the grenades are. The lack of the ranking system. Matchmaking feels more like "Social Slayer" rather than competitive matchmaking, even guests are allowed to play in MM....Not cool. The last thing I can think of at this time is the DMR being way to powerful. It is now a 4 shot kill (just like the BR), it shots WAAYYY further than the BR, it has up close precision and in my opinion it is more accurate due to it only shooting 1 shot per trigger pull rather than 3 shot burst (making it more accurate than the BR)..thus concluding that it is overpowered and if you wanted to bring the BR back in style then you need to downgrade the DMR to equal the playing field. Trust me on this one, You have converted many die hard BR fanatics over to the DMR scene because the BR just doesn't compete with it. I know you guys are trying your best, but hear us out about some of this stuff. Being different and making a drastic change to Halo is a good thing, 343 has done an AMAZING job upgrading the game since Halo 3. But, you can not take everything away and rid too many things just to be different, players had an expectation required for 343 to meet and they haven't quite gotten to that point yet.     Mountain DewXP?

    So, I have about 40 games of Mountain DewXP and I add the XP to my gamertag and everything, it will notify me saying It has been added, but then I go and play a Game and I don't get the double XP this has happened about 15 times already. I already tried; -Switching the eMail on the account -Switching to a different DewXP account There is nothing else I could do, Can somebody please help me?
  21. I have been with a team since Halo 2 until we disbanded at the beginning of Halo 3. We have skill, team work and we call out the enemy team's position for support fire. Our fourth man has a lot to do and can not be on the game very much at all. We need a new man to be our fourth in order to compete in Matchmaking, Game battles and Online tournaments.   22. A game as bad ass as Halo 4 should have Campaing Matchmaking. It took bungie forever to do it for Halo Reach. It is not that difficult. Do score based and regular campign coop. Score based is great fun! Please do it!!!!!!!
  23. There is clearly a lack of game-types in halo 4 here you can discuss the game-types they should bring back. Two of those would be swat and grifball which they are adding.
  24. Okay well last night i was playing with my friends and playing having fun while i was owning. Then got off work today and then tried getting on I'm a lvl Sr-36 and then i says i'm a lvl 1 and armor is default. It says halo 4 servers are down and then my brother tried getting on and he played didn't say servers are down or anything. I don't know what to do anymore i tried restarting connection, Tried Wifi, Tried different gamertag, but once again my brother is online playing it cant be the xbox cause i was on last night playing and working just fine. I don't know what to do or anything please help 343 awesome game thumbs up but not when something is screwing me over or maybe multiply people are having the same problem as me who knows but help thanks.
