  1. So, from what I understand, I was to receive Fotus Armour from my Halo 4 Console Disc. However, I don't have the Armour in my selection, I've tried everything. I'm really getting upset about this. I know it's a bit silly but I payed for it and I should have it. I have the SN of my console and the game case. What can be done to fix this?
  2. So, instead of listing the negative things about Halo 4, let’s list some of the positive things you like about Halo 4. It can be from gameplay mechanics to the campaign storyline, and/or the audio production, etc. It’s entitled to your own opinion. One of the things I enjoyed from Halo 4 is the mission Midnight. The best part of that mission for me was the first couple minutes of that mission because I was able to fly around in a ship shooting turrets while maneuvering around avoiding obstacles. It reminds me a lot of Star Fox.

  4. Halo when i think of halo i think of a skilled base game that takes nothing but skill, passion, and team work. I personal think that halo has went to a different type of gaming such as letting anyone who picks the game up can be good at in such has making the br the way it is and the dmr itself, what happen to the halo were u had to actually lead your shots and get the head shot for the 4 shot or 3 body shots and the pure skill of the game.. 343 i am no complaining about your game im just saying that as a fellow halo 2 and 3 player i loved the game because it took skill and i wanted to play it to get better and become the best but for halo 4 it seems like ever one is just good that has hand eye coronation,, also with what i have said i think that yall wanna make a game that work for the new players and also the competitive side but this is some that halo is just not halo was a game for skill and always will be because its halo and yall have tried to change it so please on your next game think about what all the players of your games has said on these fourms i mean the mlg droping halo sucks bad but halo is halo not halo mixed with armor ability's i mean there cool i guess for someone who just started playing but its not halo. therefore i have said what i think any wanna comment plz do so i wanna see what others have to say,
  5. Hey guys it's CAMS24 I just want to know what you think about Halo 4. You can say whatever you want about Campaign, War Games, Spartan Ops, Forge......Everything ! I want your opinion guys ! For my part i think Halo 4 is very nice, the multiplayer is pretty cool, the graphics are beautiful, the campaign is a little bit weird put still very good and nice to do. Personally, Halo 4 is better than Halo Reach (my opinion, it's ok if you disagree). The forge is very interresting and easy, but you don't have enough map for it. The armors are... specials. But they are nice Tell me what's on your mind ! (For those who are interrested,CAMS24 is my gamertag. lvl79, Stalker, Campaign done in legendary)
  6. I don't know why but for me and my friends whenever we play spartan ops the lag is almost so bad we cant even play, But during multiplayer we have zero problems and campaign is the same way, Any Help????????
  7. I couldn't find any info on XBL Support o Waypoint. Forum search here turned up nothing... I'm using Halo4 on a 360 Slim. Three out of four custom/Forge games (or so) crash out to the H4 title screen when trying to load. The main loading screen flashes for a second, followed by a black screen, which is replaced by the big H4 title logo after a few seconds. Sometimes it will crash out two or three times before letting me successfully load a map. I do a lot in Forge and I play customs with friends so this has been a real headache, having to essentially leave the group each time we play customs. I've tried re-installing the disc, and I've even tried installing it on a thumb drive and running it from there. The problem persists. I can play campaign, matchmaking, and Spartan Ops just fine - it's only with Forged maps. I wasn't planning on buying a 360 hdd just for this game. Any advice on how to get the game working correctly with my existing setup? I've tried the internal 4gb flash and a formatted 32gb thumb drive... I'm starting a H4 league in a couple of weeks and I won't be able to participate if more than half my custom matches fail to load. Please help!
  8. Team Sniper is by far the best game mode ever available in the halo series, you tease us with one week of it then take it away... Why would you? From what i remember all week, every day all day, Team Snipers had well over 10 000 players playing it... maybe a little lower then that on off times but seriously put it back in the game.

  10. Look, I've been playing Halo almost all of my life and I even have the Halo 3 edition xbox, and with this new Halo 4, I love it but the fact of the rankings are limited at 130 is just absurd. Even with reach, it'd take forever to get to the highest ranking, not like a month in which some players are able to get to 130. It should take much much much longer than that. With this game, the specializations, maps, and just about everything are amazing, the rankings are the only thing that needs to be different, or at least MORE. This is just a suggestion on what could be different about this, new ideas, or just about anything. Help?
  11. I have always thought of gameplay mechanics for games, and things to break particular problems to make games better, and because I love halo so much... I have decided to write out a LONG suggestion paper on all the things that I THINK would improve halo in future generations. note: sorry for my horrid spelling/grammar.. try as hard as you can to read this please ===================================================================================== SPARTAN IV ARMOR SYSTEMS ===================================================================================== one of the most frustrating things to me about multiplayer in any halo game is loosing battles purely because of being outnumbered, this made me think about something that could solve this problem. as some of you might know, in the real world there are materials and liquids that resist more and harden more when more force is applied. My thought is, if more then 1 player is shooting at you at once, your armor should harden causing more resistance when multiple players are shooting you at once. also players should slow down more by the amount of players shooting at them. It would not be a significant resistance, obviously players should die faster when they are shot at by multiple players at once, but still as an example: a player would normally take x1 damage by 1 player shooting at them, and move 80% normal speed a player would resist x1.5 damage when being shot at by 2 players, and move 60% normal speed a player would resist x2 damage when being shot at by 3 players, and move 40% normal speed a player would resist x2.5 damage when being shot at by 4 players or more players, and move 20% normal speed. also maybe have a perk or specialization to make it so you move less slowly when being shot by multiple players at once. this could also maybe tie into the story sense Dr.Halsey is back, maybe she helped with the improvement of the UNSC SPARTAN IV project ===================================================================================== NEW WEAPON IDEAS: ===================================================================================== I also had a few other ideas for weapons that could be added to give more options. - Scoped SMG: would take the place of a secondary and would be similar to the scoped SMG from halo:ODST - needle rifle: bring this back from halo reach, could basically be a more long range version of the carbine. - classic plasma rifle: yes, I am aware that there is the storm rifle in halo4, but this would be similar to halo:reach's plasma rifle, and would serve as a secondary weapon. - new forerunner rifle: this would take the place as a weapon that would do less damage then any other primary weapon, but would slightly break through the armor idea I came up with above, making it a great team player weapon. ===================================================================================== NEW AI IDEAS: ===================================================================================== I have far too many ideas for AI, so, Im just going to cram all this together...sorry for my crappy organization skills. the AI have a lack of human intelligence, or adaptability. if one covenant is being singled out, the others should defend that one and that one should move toward cover. all AI should shoot at a MUCH faster pace and be less accurate when the player is closer, and be more accurate and shoot much slower when the player is further away. some AI have been seen walking into walls in place, so they need to detect the environment around them a bit more. grunts are far to accurate and run away to much, jackals should be the most accurate due to the fact that they are covenant snipers. jackals and grunts should also back up when the player gets near them, sense they are much smaller. hunters should shoot players at a much further range, because you can just stand back and shoot at them from afar on halo 4. hunters should also be sensitive about their backs because thats were they are exposed, when the player is behind them they should rotate. they also should go berserk when they see another hunter die, like in halo 3, 2, and 1. watchers should shoot a bit more when they are shot at, knights should move to cover or closer depending on the players range, and should be almost impossible to sneak up on unless they are distracted. knights should also teleport behind cover, and not just teleport in the middle of the field. crawlers should rush from as many angles as possible, and see and hear you very easily. elites need to be much more sneaky when they have a sword, because when they are running in front of all their team with a giant glowing sword they are basically saying "hey look at me!" and then die very quickly. in fact, I have yet to even been killed by a sword elite. I also know the AI has the ability to not only see the enemy, they can hear the enemy as well, they should hear the player less when there is lots of gunfire, and even less when gunfire is closer (for example one player could sneak while the other shoots at them to break hearing.) ===================================================================================== Thanks 343 for halo 4, keep making great games and I will be a guaranteed customer. -PS I am 17 and unemployed, would gladly take a job.

  13. Many people, myself included had a huge hype for the release of Halo 4. If only then I knew what I had known now I could have saved myself $60 and a trip to a midnight release. Before flaming immediately after seeing the title, please, at least here me out. Flashback to November, 15, 2011. Microsoft and 343i had just released its first Halo game (with 343i being a separate company, respectively). Halo: CEA was released in North America and was sold on the shelves for a mere $40. But the price had nothing on game itself, right? The original Halo, just with better graphics and sound quality. Sounded great to me. But as a gamer, I wouldn't be doing my job if I hadn't poked out the flaws. And please, let me take a minute to explain. Hating and nitpicking flaws are COMPLETELY different. Don't know the difference? Google it. Back to the matter at hand. I remember playing the first Halo as a kid, I only played at my cousins place, because my parents had refused to buy me an Xbox (they thought the games were too violent, so I showed them Madhouse on the Wii when it came out years later). Nonetheless, I went from Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, and the LoZ series (which are GREAT games, by the way) to shooting my way through any situation I saw fit. Halo ALONE stood above as the mighty grandeur of most of my gaming experiences. This led on to me playing Halo 3, CoD 4 and WaW (I did play Halo 2, just not online). All of which I highly regard to as great games to a modern era. You know what all of these games have in common? If you guessed 'A player progression system' then step up to get your prize. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING could compare to the feeling that I got once I hit General in Halo 3 or when I prestiged in CoD 4. I just had this sense of accomplishment where I knew that I had something that few people had. I don't really remember CE having any online capabilities (I may be wrong), but I do know it had Custom Games. CEA; however, failed to deliver an online experience, let alone Custom Games. To save myself a few words, I'll say this: The same can be said for Halo 4. Like I previously stated, I enjoy ranking up and proving my worth, which would explain why I love games like WoW and GW2. I'm getting sidetracked. Now onto Halo 4, or should I say the burden of my Halo experience. Flashforward to November 6, 2012. I'm standing in a line at Gamestop waiting to get my copy of Halo 4. Line number, 122. Not too bad I guess. After driving home and changing my pants, I popped Halo 4 into the disc tray of my 360 and ran it from the dashboard. Let's start with the Campaign. I played this first as it is simply my tradition to experience the story line before anything else. Let me be the first to say, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD this was purely amazing! Campaign was probably my favorite aspect, I beat it twice. Once to test the waters and a second time for Legendary Solo. Only I have a few problems. 343, to my dismay had lied in saying that Halo 4's legendary mode would be the hardest yet. I beat it; solo, mind you, in less than a day. I'm not that great at Campaign, especially Halo. I expected this to make me break a controller, not sit through in boredom as the derpy AI wandered around like nothing happened after I clearly assassinated a Promethean Knight. On the plus side, being able to see a little bit of Master Chief's face was MORE than promising. The game felt like a Sci-Fi shooter, like it should. However, this shouldn't give 343 the right to take the humor out of Halo. Even playing through the entire Campaign with IWHBYD on, I found no humorous remarks from the Covenant (I expected no real humor out of the Prometheans, mind you). Just growling most of the time. I also find myself running out of ammunition when it's most needed. Anyway, enough with Campaign (I gave it a 9/10). Onto the prominent Spartan Ops. A replacement for the classic Firefight experience, you play as the infamous Crimson team while playing through multiple missions, each with their own chapters and objectives. It's an interesting change; however, I would like to have seen a separate custom loadouts for Spartan Ops. Having to change constantly for Spartan Ops and War Games is a chore that should never have to be done. Here's an idea, have different roles for Spartan Ops. Each loadout would express a different role that could be fulfilled be the player. Heavy Weapons, Assault, Sniper, etc. Just a suggestion, of course. Now, herein lies the problem with Spartan Ops. The connectivity between players feels like the Ethernet cords were replaced with licorice. I can connect (with full bars, err, green bar, rather) to people when in Custom Games or Forge, and still lag like crazy when in Spartan Ops. It's like I'm being forced to play on LAN to enjoy the experience. With about a year in Computer Networking and mostly logical thinking, it can only be 343's servers that fail to support anything. Replaying the same map for missions can be a bit annoying too, unless it's like Mission 4 (or 5, I can't really remember) where you're on Ragnarok for 2-3 chapters and it actually follows a decent story pattern to it. War Games. Matchmaking for any fellow Halo vets. I could go on about this for ages, but to sum it up, I hate it. I hate the fact that I HAVE to hate it. This shouldn't exist, and I feel like it's a monstrosity to the competitiveness Halo used to bring. Whine and cry about Reach as it may be, but at least Reach could support an MLG playlist. Or any playlist for that matter. Halo 2, from what I've collected, had a Clan Battle playlist. That's perfect for clans who want to warm up before a GB match or something. For weapons, one precision weapon for UNSC is fine enough, thank you. Not two, is that concept so difficult to understand? Was 343 even thinking about the competitive community? Probably not. Reach brought about the concept of Armor Abilities, which most people hated. Any hate was usually directed for only one reason in particular, Armor Lock. Personally, I always used Sprint. I like to get to objectives and places around the map quickly. AA's were the only thing that really put someone at an edge over the other player (not including weapons, of course. I'm just talking about the traits at spawn). Now, in response to this, Halo 4 added not only Armor Abilities (which I find myself almost never using,) but perks as well. Perks? PERKS? Are you serious 343? If War Games had a CoD label on it, it would be the most balanced CoD out on the market (certainly better than BO:II). But why put a Halo label on this? Spawning with the same thing as everyone else had was just fine. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy change as much as the next guy. Repeating a similar multiplayer pattern gets old and boring. But this is not the way to do it 343! If you want some change that's fine, but don't change the game mechanics! Team Slayer Pro has little to no player base, and changing loadouts simply shouldn't be in Halo. Look at Reach's response to Armor Abilities, it was horrible. And the addition of having everyone have sprint is absolutely fine, I in fact welcome it with open arms. This doesn't give 343 the right to add perks. If they wanted a perk system, they could have made slight, minuscule differences that had a slight impact on the game. Like maybe 105% movement speed, or maybe a slight increase in the duration of sprint, not unlimited. 2 primary weapons in a loadout? No. Get rid of it. Awareness? Leave this game. More grenades? Kill yourself. Increased Explosives radius and less damage received? (Insert sarcastic smile, obviously indicating anger here) Better yet, let's throw in a carbon copy of a CoD perk! Oh, what's it called? Sleight of Hand maybe? Yeah that's the one. 343, grow some originality, or at least fire your multiplayer development team, and make a multiplayer system that makes me not want to throw up. Finally, Forge (I'm not dealing with Theater, that failed after Halo 3 due to no multiplayer viewing options). Forge seems much worse than compared to in Reach. Dynamic lighting and magnets were all that 343 brought to the table as major changes to Forge. That's great, but provide no decent maps to forge on and the whole system falls apart. Not only is the Magnet system feel uncomfortable, but the Coordinate system feels odd too! And precision editing? Nope! Zooming in while in monitor mode? Ha! Nope! In terms of maps, Ravine is horrible. I can't find a place to put anything anywhere. The Promethean structure half shouldn't be there. The moon base is equally full of stupid-syndrome. I just want Forge World back. I'd rather have one large map to forge on rather than 3 dysfunctional maps with no real purpose. Custom Games just feels dull since 343 copied most of what made Reach's custom games a bit derpy. Like the Camo system. That ruined Ghostbusters, my favorite custom game in H3. The jump scares were really fun! Now it's just like "Oh, you're there.." I tried making a paintball-esque Custom Game in Halo 4. It was okay, but there were no good maps to play it on. Why take away the freedom, fun, and creativity from Halo? I forged quite a bit on both H3 and Reach. Both were decent in their own respects. Foundry. Am I right, or am I right? Sandbox was pretty cool, along with the other maps that had skulls on them. Nice touch, Bungie. Above all, I feel like Halo 4 fixed a few of the big mistakes but made a LOT of smaller ones in its path. Graphics only add to the overall atmosphere of a game. And I feel like 343 focused on only that. The appeal to the atmosphere, rather the gameplay. Reach had a sort of grunge look/feel to it. The dirty armor truly made me feel like a war torn Spartan. And that's what Halo is about, right? Hate on me if you will, I've come to accept that my opinion isn't very welcome. At least think of this: Are you defending this game so much because you like it, or because it simply says "Halo" on the cover? I am actually enthralled to hear someone else's opinion on this. I never really addressed my concern with Halo 4's ranking system. After hitting 50 and passing into your first specialization, it's easy to rank up until rank 5-6 of your specialization. It then follows a repeated pattern after hitting 60. Choose the specialization, it's easy then it gets really difficult. There's no sense in that at all. Just wanted to point that out.

  17. I was wondering if anyone has information on who I can contact to help me with receiving my specialization code. I meet all the requirements to get the code and did not receive it via e-mail or in a Xbox live message. I contacted Xbox live support but they do not have the ability to give my the code since it is given out by 343 Industry. I appreciate anyone who reads and helps me with this issue! *I checked my spam folder as well, I am not a noob! Cheers!

  19. So, my dear community, pardon my spelling errors, back keyboard. Who else like how every game from now on is C.O.D. Loadouts that we can set, instant spawn timers (which have really screwed the Extermination medal), and such a poor variety of maps that I can't pick which one sounds remotely fun. I miss the old Halo3 multiplayer, the given loadouts, set weapon spawns, and equipment (which with a one time use was more effective than most if not all armor loadout possibities. Don't get me wrong I am not just complaining and I am far from a Bungie fanboy (I hated halo reach with a passion after playing a few other games before hopping back in). I just miss halo being halo. I wonder does anyone else or am I talking to the deaf here?
  20. Hi everyone. Please forgive me if I don't indroduce myself in the appropriate section, but I joined this community with the only purpose to express my toughts about the rank cap in the Halo 4 multiplayer. Don't take this post as a pointless complaint, because it isn't: I like how 343industries managed to set the matchmaking and stuff, but there's something that doesn't work well in my opinion and just wanted to point it out. As you can figure, I'm stuck - like some other players - at level 70 in multiplayer. I bought the Standard Edition and, even if I was playing Halo 4 the 20th of November, my Xbox wasn't connected to Live. No grumble, it was my mistake or choice - see it as you want. When I completed the two specializations (Wetwork and Operator), I didn't stop playing the game: it is fun, it is addictive, it is awesome. But then I noticed one thing: the largest majority of players I met online has every specialization unlocked. There are Pioneers at lvl. 51, Trackers at 64 and so on. It doesn't make any sense to me. The specialization lock started as a plus for those who bought the Limited Edition of the game, and that was right. They spent more money on Halo 4, it was correct to lend them a bonus. Then 343i wanted to reward its early customers, giving codes to everyone who played the 20th of November, and that wasn't too fair. It wasn't to Limited buyers, neither for Standard players. In fact now the specialization lock went from being a plus for few to a minus for few. This lends me to some question (intended to any member of 343i who might read this post): Why did you adopt this policy? It was a miscalculation, a mistake or planned? Do you plan to change things and allow every player to access all specializations? Can we hope that in the immediate future will be unlocked at least two or three specs? Please take this thread seriously and let me know how many of you other players are stuck at 70. Just my curiosity. =) Thank you for your attention. Andre_03
  21. What's up guys? I'm kinda new here so if we can skip picking on the new kid, that'd be appreciable. My favorite game's Halo 2, I love Halo 4 (currently on the Plasma Pistol challenge for Recon SURG armor), I'm all Recon armor in any Halo that allows it (think of it as my legacy or identity), Halo: Combat Evolved was my initiation into gaming, I don't know how to make proper introductions (sorry guys), and there is no game I put in front of Halo. I was brought here the oddest way possible; being perma-banned from Halo Waypoint forums for bumping someone else's "Thank You 343i" thread (saw everyone else bumping so I didn't think it was a problem. :l) so, learning from past mistakes, I'm here to play it clean and enjoy me some fan opinion. Gamertag's Arr0wSync, I'm big on Miami Heat and Boston Red Sox aside from Halo, I can't choose between Marty O'Donnell and Neil Davidge, and I love playing customs with an overheating passion. What's up, bromigos? TL;DR: Love Halo 4. Halo is my home. Hope this place is too!
  22. So what are everones thoughts on the Crimson Map Pack, now that its out? Personaly I just don't feel like the players should have had to pay for it at all, subsiquent maps, maybe. But I think there are very few maps per game type in the core verision and that being charged to have a few more, which in most games would have been ecpected at launch is a bit ridiculous, even if it is only ten dollars. So I'm just wondering am I alone in thinking this, or do you guys who have payed for the pack think that it was worth it/fair?

An international free-to-join tournament that will take place during the Spartan Ops mid-season break. The tournament is broken up into two parts. A War Games based tournament and a Spartan Ops based tournament. The War Games tournament will basically be a global leaderboard that tracks the number of kills and points you earn. Whereas the Spartan Ops leaderboard will track the number of chapters you complete. This is yet another great way 343 Industries engages it's community. The participants have a chance to win from over 2,800 prizes including the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck as the 1st place prize in the War Games ladder and the winners of the Spartan Ops.... Enjoy : )
  24. I have a request that I believe would change the game of Halo Multiplayer in its entirety. My suggestion is to release a map pack that contains every multiplayer level from each of the Halo games. I love Halo and play on a daily basis, but playing the same 5-7 maps everyday for 2 years gets very old. The only reason I switched to MW3 during Halo Reach was because Halo had become dull in a sense of no diversity. Release the ULTIMATE MAP PACK and watch all of the Halo fans lost to COD over the years return!! I would pay at lest $100 for this map pack, and probably never play another FPS!
  25. This is going to be a short paragraph, but I want to ask. Is there any custom maps you can recommend? Anything from infection, races, grifball, etc. It doesn't matter what it is. I just want some custom maps because I have very few saved. So, if you know any fun custom maps, share it with me. Also, link the custom game type and the map creator, because right now the file share system is not working properly.
