A question for everyone: What was your initial reaction the VERY first time you time you saw the flood? I believe this is a great topic to discuss and share nightmares (or acts of bravery.) Please, share as much detail as you wish. You can discuss the building up to the flood, or how they affected you in later games, but please share your opinions. My first time: I may have been young, but I was still attentive. I was so confused as to what the Covenant dug up. I was scared that, well, the COVENANT were scared. Walking into that facility, seeing figures running in the distances, shots from nowhere, gross noises, it kinda stuck with me. Fighting out of the facility was the scary part. I had no idea what these ugly-looking beasts were and so I tried spraying and praying my way out. I repeatedly got lost and stressed. Oh lord, it stuck with me. >.< -
The Halo Clan Council. Now there are allot of groups similar to this but there is a core difference in our group from other coalitions, and will make us the next driving force in the halo community. Our difference is that the high councilor of the coalition is not a member or leader of any clan in the coalition. Whenever a issue is brought to the table by one of the clans leaders such as war, all the other clans and the clan discuss the issue then vote on it. After the vote then it is taken to the high councilor and he will look into the issue and if he finds it valid then the council will go to war. If he finds it not valid then that clan can still go to war but the rest of the council isn't obligated to help them. Other benefits are training sessions, friendly clan matches between the clans, tournaments etc... Any clan is free to leave the council at anytime. We believe because the high councilor isn't a clan member/leader of any clan his judgement in matters are completlely unbiased and that no clan will be favored over another in any way. This also allows every clan to continue to run themselves yet have the backing of an entire community. Hi all, I am the creator of UNSC Warfare, and we recently asked members of the game what they wanted for the future of UNSC Warfare. Following that vote the decision was made to make a successor, a UNSC Warfare 2.0 if you will. You can read more about it here. The project was good fun, and all things considered, a success. It's time to make a mobile version. More features, 3D Battles, more units, more missions moremoremoremore. I have come here, to my base of operations within the Halo extended community to find people who want to be part of the project. As you are aware can't make money off the project so naturally there will be no payment, but you will gain satisfaction in actively developing (yes we are actually coding here, and building something rather than saying we are) something the community, and hopefully you will enjoy. So it has dawned on me that there is no dedicated cosplay section. It has also come to my attention that there are quite a few people on this forum that are interested in cosplay ( both halo and non-halo). So may i make a request to add a forum topic for cosplay nested in the halo universe topic. this would be beneficial to cosplayers in the community as well as help start people with cosplaying. but it is up to the comunity if they would truly like to add this. July 2014 (CE3 2014 Demo) March 2015 (Current Build) Before I get started, I want to say that past recruitment from this site has been great, with the help of talent we picked up here Installation 01 has gone from a concept build in July 2014 (CE3 2014) to the sexiness you see up above. (note: the BR is a placeholder model) We’ve been delayed by massive reworkings of the game itself for greater stability and modularity, critical elements in a community-oriented game. Being a fan team, we can’t make any money, not even from donations, so we are doing this in our spare time. Professionals, students, and passionate Halo fans coming together with whatever free hours they have. We are making something that we’ve craved for a long time, a full Halo game for PC, Linux, and Mac, boasting classic gameplay and game modes from multiple Halo titles, all bundled into a shiny package of modern graphics. Positions we need filled so this project moves faster: Programmers: • Proficient in C#. • Unity or other comparable game experience. • Capable of using Github. • Willingness to communicate well with our senior engineers. • A team player. Artists: -2D- • Knowledge of GIMP, Photoshop, or any other comparable 2D graphics program. Largely needed for UI and texture work. • Willing to work on assigned projects within their deadlines. (we aren’t super hardcore about this, but this is more about not signing up for anything you know you can’t finish on time). • Knowledge of 3D modeling is a plus, but not required. -3D- • Skills with any widely used 3D modeling software, such as Blender, Max, or Maya. Zbrush is also • welcomed. • Work within deadlines (once again, we don’t have a lot of deadlines, just know your limits) • Be comfortable with assigned tasks from senior modelers. • Doesn't matter if you prefer environmental, structural, or organic modeling, we need you. • Knowing how to texture models well is a plus, but is not required. Sound and recording: • Own/have constant access to professional sound equipment and software. • Have experience with sound design for games or professional videos. • Willingness to adapt to whatever is needed at the moment. (voice, gun shots, birdsong, etc.) If you wish to help out as any of those roles, just comment here about it and one of the team members will get back to you soon NOTE: We are abiding by Microsoft’s Fair Use Policy, hence why we cannot make any money off the project, and why we must build everything ourselves, we cannot distribute “rips” of any kind from any Halo game. I know, I know, we might sound like one of those small tiny clans filled with little kids screaming and yelling. We aren't. Don't judge a book by it's cover, silly, Chaos Gaming is one of the biggest and most respected gaming communities on Xbox. We span across CoD and Halo Reach and will expand into H4 when it comes out. We contain over 1700 members registered on out website, with well over hundreds more unregistered on the website. Our Halo Reach division contains 7 Branches; Backlash, Dynasty, Impact, Intensity, Shockwave, Revolver and Supremacy, and our CoD side has well over 15 branches. But I'm here to recruit for Halo, not CoD, so let's go ahead and talk about us. Chaos Gaming has been around for about 3 years and is built around one rule: Treat others the way you wanna be treated. We value respect and integrity above all else and just want to make others have fun, make friends and enjoy themselves. We hold tourneys that yield prizes that range from Microsoft Points to Xboxs, but our main attraction is our Game Nights: One hour, give or take, dedicated to just playing games and having fun. Each Game night is different and is hosted by a different person. You can expect anywhere from 10-40 people attending a single game night. Here in Chaos, we treat other like family, because we kind of are like one. Into competitive and MLG play? No worries, we also have Elite Squads, for not just MLG but I'll get into those later, where the best of the best in a branch get together to practice, play and improve on their skills in Halo and MLG. One of my good friends, Dalton (Gamertag lBoba F e t tI), went to MLG Colombus and made it to losers bracket round 3 and placed top 100. And he was a Chaos Gaming Major. We even have Elite Squads for Snipers, Grifball and other types of games as well. Seem interested? Well like all other gaming communities, we have rules. You should be willing to change your colors, motto and emblem, and keep it like how we ask, at all times to represent us. You also should be at least 16 years of age to join, but if you are as young as 13 you can be accepted under the grounds that you are mature and willing to contribute. A community where they can express themselves, make some friends and most importantly, have a good time! As we are a newly formed clan, as expected, we do not have a lot of members. However, in a matter of days since we have created our forum, we have had many inquiries to join our clan. You must've read that title and been like, "Oh god, no way." Well, guess what? I'M DOING ROLEPLAYS AGAIN. YAYAYAYAYAY! So if you don't like it, don't sign up. But I highly encourage you do, because this is gonna be a lot of fun. Hear me out. Halo: War Games is an interactive roleplay taking place in the Halo Universe around 2558, some time after the Second Battle of Requiem and it's destruction. The setting is a UNSC Charon-class light frigate, the UNSC Champion, where a small arena simulation has been set up training Spartan and Ex-Covenant cooperative missions for future battles, enacted by ONI out of fear of the Covenant Remnant and return of the Prometheans. In this simulation, a set of teams comprised of both Spartans and the Arbiter's forces coordinate in invasion-class assaults and stalemates to determine skill among different races and in different fields. You are one of these squad members, and today's ballot day. Sign up below using a formula like I will provide, there are no real limits to this, just stay within the Halo universe's logic. After all have signed up, the Roleplay will start and ballots will determine who is on what team, and depending on the number of players, how many teams there are. Here is the layout for your character sheet, feel free to make changes where needed if you'd like. Name: Johnny Bravo Race: Human (Can choose Elite, Jackal, Grunt, etc.) Class: Soldier (Each race has classes, will list below as well) Weapon(s) of choice: Carbine, Scarab Gun, Frag Grenades, Bubble Shield (Generally anything is fine, primary, secondary, grenade, and equipment, one of each) Characteristics: Blonde, muscular, gorgeous (Just describe your character in any way you can) Backstory: Johnny lived with his 'mama for many years of his life, and after the human-covenant war he developed a hatred for elites (Character's backstory, pretty simple) Classes: Soldier (frontline, can call in ordnance once per game) Medic (mid-range, can bring fallen allies back into the simualtion) Grenadier (longer ranged, can carry more than 2 grenades in a simulation) Ranger (longer ranged, can disable enemy radar) Ultras (frontline, can call in a deployable turret) Zealot (mid-range, can give ammunition to teammates) General (longer ranged, can boost teammates' health) Spec-Ops (longer ranged, can cloak for about 15 seconds) I will alllow you to mix and max, ergo, be a spartan with Zealot abilities, or be a covvie with Medic. Doesn't matter to me. After a few training matches, what's really interesting is we will be having an event where the winning team will determine who scores in the RP. Pretty cool eh? SIGN UP BELOW. Playing Halo alone can get pretty boring after awhile. I'm searching for a crew to roll with. I'm sixteen, pretty good across all four games, and just want some friends to kick *** with (plus objective game types are really annoying with no communication) in Halo: MCC. Just a few things I'm looking for in a clan: Overall, casual. Just want some friends to pwn with. I'm not going to change my GamerTag for any clan. Non-negotiable. I will, however, change my characters' armors and color, as well as clan tags and whatnot if it's necessary. I don't want a clan overrun with people under the age of twelve. Seriously my least favorite demographic. In line with the one above, I want a clan whose members have some semblance of maturity. And a sense of humor. But yeah if your clan fits these criteria, sign me right up

Some of you may have heard of the Forgehub contest for a 1v1 map in Halo 2 Anniversary. The prizes being $500, a $300 gaming headset, or $100 gaming glasses. But that contest is already over. Well I had an absolutely spectacular idea. However, I am neither experienced nor dedicated at Forge, but I do not want this idea to go to waste. I am reluctant to share everything about the map, but I will say a few things. It has some interesting dynamics that could totally work in Halo 2 Anniversary, but that I've never seen in any other maps before. I did test this dynamic to see if it would work, and alas, it did, exactly to my expectations. The aesthetic for the canvas I wanted to use fit perfectly as well. If you are a forger who has made several (being more than two I suppose) decent maps, contact me on Xbox Live @ Furi0usGeorgeX and let me see some of the maps you've made. If I like them, both aesthetically and in terms of map design, I will share the plans I made for the map with you, and trust you to build the map of my dreams. HomicidalGaming is a well established cod community with the focus on clan wars, currently at 200+ members on cod and now ive been intrusted to start a Halo division, We do have ranks but if you want to stay a pvt the whole that's completely fine. Name changes only happen after the rank of sgt though and name change is not mandatory, must at least be 17+ with mic. I want to thank halo...or well bungie and 343. I've known it for more than half of my life, im 16 and I played halo 2 when I was seven, I didn't know what I was doing then it was fun is what I remembered.Then a bit later I played Halo 3 it was great a fried from way back it was fantastic, the story so complex and immersive, the back story, the taking your Xbox to your friends house to play halo all night. Its been a real great to grow up with it, get so attached to the characters that you won't get over the ending in halo 4 and then playing through the older ones and seeing little references that just tear you apart. Its an incredible and creative universe so much diversity and dreamlike scenery. People say "just a game" but its more, its part of me. I managed to find my old friend contact and called him up for the MCC collection to play some halo 3 rockets...after so many years without talking with him, then to call up for sole nostalgia, back in tue days, playing together and laughing. I've really enjoyed this world, and I cant wait to see it continue its changes and new bits of storytelling. . thanks
