  1. So, like other people, I've had some issues with getting the Mark VI armour from the legendary campaign. I completed it solo on Legendary last night, got the achievements, but no armour or commendations. I was online the entire time and my network settings are fine. I'm assuming that the issue was due to the Halo servers being 'unavailable'. This is incredibly frustrating, and I really don't want to do the campaign again. I'm hoping 343 will sort this out and give me and other people the commendations and armour once they fix everything, especially if it was an error on 343's end. If anyone has more information about what 343 is planning to do with this issue, please let me know.
  2. Okay I have the Wake-Up John Achievement and I beat the Halo 4 campaign with my Mates. Is there any reason why I didn't get the avatar award or is 343i too d*mn lazy to fix bugs instead of there playlists?
  3. So, I have finished the Halo 4 campaign offline and received all the achievements. Though, I have not gotten the accommodations or Mark VI armor and Visor. I have seen that you have to be online when you complete it, but, I have credit for some of the missions but not all. Even though I played the whole campaign offline. Why does it count 5/8 but not the other three?! 343 please try to fix this!
  4. So, I was playing campaign on the mission "Composer" with my friends and I came across something weird. Where there are some scientists telling you to get there, go where a dead marine is with a shotgun. Next to the wall there is a normal grenade and, as it seems, a golden one. You can pick it up and throw it just like any other grenade, but, when you throw it, you can see it is gold. I also looked up on the Internet and found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l30hDq15cw Any one up to find the golden warthog?
  5. After playing the halo 4 campaign on legendary solo for about 6 hours and getting to shutdown, I was happy I was nearly finished and have the achievements and the Mark 6 armour. Though I came on halo today my campaign was reset back to the prologue, though when I look at my commendations, I have finished up to shutdown, it also reset my armour, load outs, season pass content and my rank by 3 ranks. Is there a source or resolution for this problem because I really can't be bothered to redo something I spent hours doing due to shoddy development. If anybody else has this problem please post.
  6. Hey guys I would like some help on finishing campaign I already got one mission done and I think it would go faster if I can get some help. So message me here or on live my tag is "KingOfCards V2"
  7. Ok so I must have overlooked some information and linked some things in my mind that weren't accurate because when I played through Halo 4's campaign I was very confused by the time it ended. I would like to say I have complaints and questions about everything in the story but I'm only going to focus on the one unconfirmed subject for me at least, that being The Forerunners. Throughout the games and books the forerunners are said to have been a race of super advanced beings who expanded across the galaxy, then in an effort to destroy the flood they killed themselves and all sentient life. But they had libraries of samples belonging to all sentient life in secure areas so they could be distributed back after the Halo's were activated, restarting sentient life from where it left off. So I'm going to jump right in with my opinion here. Until I played Halo 4 I always assumed the forerunners were in fact humans. Hence why the Prophets referred to them as Humanity's forefathers, why Guilty Spark calls humans Reclaimers, why only humans can use (and instinctively know how to use) important forerunner controls. But as it happens I was wrong and the Forerunners are simply confused aliens. You may be wondering why I said "confused" aliens, well my friend I can only assume they were confused. Or at the very least their thought processes are very different to that of a human. Let me explain. Why when they wiped out all sentient life did they clone all the species, excluding themselves. Did the forerunners decide their species had been around for long enough? Did they simply forget to add their own samples to the libraries? For whatever reason when they fired the Halo arrays the forerunners decided that they weren't worth having around any more. That's one reason why i thought they were humans, because we were a result of their gene samples that were plonked on Earth after the Halo's were fired. But what confuses me most according to 343's cannon, they were at war with humans. So before they all died they made sure that their mortal enemies could rise back up to their former glory and use all the forerunner technology. I may have missed something but to me that makes little to no sense at all. Which brings me on to humans. Where's all the ancient human stuff then? Over the years humanity has discovered Forerunner artifacts, robots, planets, stations and weapons. Yet not a single human space chair has been discovered. There is no evidence anywhere that anything besides the forerunners existed before the events of Halo. But apparently Humans were not only a living species they were also a galactic nation large and advanced enough to stand against the forerunners. So where are their planets? Their robots? their Artifacts? Or did the ancient humans just have an identical taste in architecture and engineering as the forerunners? As I've said I must have gotten the wrong end of the stick or something because I've always felt that Halo had been subtly hinting that humans and forerunners were the same. But maybe I'm wrong and they've always been shaved brutes with jedi force powers. But if someone could weigh in and explain what I've missed I would appreciate it! And another thing when did every one find out that forerunner's name was "Didact"? I swear he never mentioned it to Cortana and Chief when he was evily monologue-ing
  8. Hello! Users on my Xbox are not getting acheivement points for the campaign after level one. Has there been a fix to this? Thanks, Ben
  9. So I was playing campaign offline, because I didnt have access to wireless. I completed the campaign initially on normal, and then finished half of it on legendary, finding all but one of the terminals. A friend leant me his wireless adapter, and when I got on xbox live, my career stats said I had no campaign stats, and had not played, even though my campaign screen still said that I had all my completion. Im sure with one full comletetion and a half one on legendary, i must have completed some challenges or something. Im just curious as to why my stats arent there.
  10. When I beat the Campaign on Legendary, I noticed that the Commendation 'Requiem' in the Campaign commendations, wasn't complete for some odd reason, even though it said I beat the mission and that I had completed the Campaign on Legendary. Just now I got around to doing the mission again on Legendary (Starting from point Alpha, AKA the beginning of the mission, the whole 9 yards) and yet again, no commendation completed. Has anyone else experience this and/or came up with a workaround? Thanks ahead of time!
  11. Anyone wanting to play through Legendary Campaign add, ChuckleWorthy I will also play Grifball from 2v2 upwards.
  12. Sorry, I just got fed up reading all the negatively titled threads so I'm starting a good one... Best parts about halo 4 Campaign -The Campaign was so in depth and detailed and just generally awesome -It has been by far the best game I've ever played at getting by emotions involved and yes by the end I was in tears -The new race of enemies put me out of my comfort zone as I was getting to learn the best ways at killing the Forerunners, this was particularly noticeable on my second play through on legendary, which surprisingly I am finding easier than when I first played Heroic. -The new weapons were very nicely done and apart from the incineration canon none of them are too overpowered , despite this though they still got across through the weapons how much more advanced the forerunners are. -The development of Chief's and Cortana's characters was incredible and really made you even more attached to them -I like the new supporting characters - mainly Lasky and Palmer Multiplayer -Despite complaints from some about no respawn time etc, I personally thinks it just adds to the madness that is a Halo fight -I think all the maps are brilliantly designed so there is virtually no camping what so ever -I like having custom classes, it allows people to specialise their gameplay but it doesn't give new players too much of a disadvantage as the weapons and abilities aren't too powerful -Spartan Ops is just a genius alternative to firefight and adds more story to the game -I think the player cards as opposed to just names is a very nice touch along with changing infection to flood and not allowing people to change their vote - stops people voting with the majority, happened all the time on Reach Improvements for Halo 5 -BRING BACK CORTANA... my preference anyway -Make it ASAP.
  13. So last week i was finishing the campaign on heroic for halo4 and I'd found the last of 7 terminals yet i didn't recieve the achievement, I contacted microsoft and they said they couldn't do anything, so I'm now like wow thanks alot 343 for screwing me like a steam train. Anyone else had this or similar issues talk to me
  14. I really enjoyed the campaign of this game, fantastic (despite a few blips in the flow of the story telling). One thing that really bothered me however was those sounds in the cutscenes. Mostly explosions/background noises that sounded like absolute CRAP. Example: They sounded like they were compressed to hell, almost like they were free wav clips they found online. Maybe it was for performance/disk space reasons......but it really killed the immersion for me, since the audio in Halo has always been absolutely top notch.
  15. The guy that played Lasky in "Forward Unto Dawn"; is he the same guy that voiced Lasky in the game?
  16. Well, I’ve finished the campaign mode last Sunday, decided to think about it for a few days to digest all the stuff and make a structured analysis, and now I’m sharing my view on the campaign here before the discussion gets old, because there are some points I would like to see debated. I was Halo CE and Halo 2 player, but didn’t play any other until now. However I watched the campaigns walkthroughs online and I usually like to go to wikis to get some more information, despite not having any of the books. I will discuss mostly the campaign events, I have nothing to say about gameplay, loved it completely, loved the Chief’s HUD, the graphics were incredibly realistic, the shadowing and light effects are also perfect, enemies were tough enough, weapons, structures, and vehicles, the soundrack also fitted the game nicely, the only thing I disliked was the Warthog’s sound. First of all, right after finishing the campaign, I had mixed feelings, it didn’t feel like the Halo I was used to, so I took some time to adjust to the ambiance of the game, the soundtrack, even the main menu, which is not necessarily a bad thing, since I was expecting Halo 4 to be unlike previous Halos, but the lack of at least that main vocal theme from the previous trilogy made me have to readjust my fitting into the game. My congratulations to 343i for the boldness of reinventing the well stablished franchise. So, about the campaign, I like I think the major drawback is in fact the lack of in-game explanation of the story, sure everything gets clearer after watching the terminals, but the fact that I went through half the campaign with no idea on why I was fighting the Covenant again is disappointing. I mean yes Cortana advised that those were not standard Covenant, and so it should be some rebel faction, but still it was not enough for me to understand why they were useful for Didact and his plan, not until I went to read the wikis. Sometimes I felt lost in the middle of the campaign, without fully understand why I was doing what I had to do, and that surely must have taken away some of that “save the world” feeling, propelled by a motivating track that was characteristic of the previous trilogy. To me, only after arriving to Ivanoff’s station is that I could start to feel why I had to battle the Didact. An annoying mistake happens when Cortana, at one point, still doesn’t know what are the garbled transmissions she is receiving and then all of the sudden she starts to provide information about Infinity. Another aspect of the campaign that disappointed me was the lack of integration with the events of the webseries “Forward unto Dawn”, for me there was so much expectation about it and I could see so much potential, I mean, the series finale was great in making the connection with the events on Halo 4, but then when Lasky meets Chief for the first time, even though he saved the galaxy and was unfortunately condemned to float in space for 4 and a half years, the reception he got was deceiving, to say the least, and all Lasky says about their past experience is “I thought I’d never see you again”. Then, at the very end, Lasky tells Chief that he attended the Corbulo Military Academy, like Chief didn’t know… I mean according to the webseries, Master Chief was the reason Lasky embraced his career, he was an inspiration to him, so much that he kept the Hunter’s piece of armor with him for all those years, but still, no mention about that, no significant connection was established between the two, that was a let down for me, specially because the webseries was a great success! Oh and by the way, where are all the ships escorting Infinity? However, for me, the biggest flaw in the entire game was the nuclear device detonation. I mean, COME ON! Master Chief is blowing that thing with his bare hands, right in front of his face. Aren’t you taking that luck thing too far? How could Cortana shield him on time and with such short distance? I understand that there were people dying on Earth’s surface, he couldn’t even wait for the countdown, but still… Well, I also didn’t enjoy that I couldn’t understand right away how Cortana saved Chief until I read the wiki, it got me wondering what was happening instead of focusing on her saying goodbye to Chief, but that’s ok, I repeated the scene later on and I must say it was really emotional, without turning lame, an admirable sacrifice of her to save Chief’s life. About Cortana, as much as I loved how amazing she looks in this game, her nakedness is a bit distracting… not that it is a bad thing, but it grabs the focus from what’s important. Now the characters motion was great, I honestly almost couldn’t tell if the prologue characters (Halsey and the interrogator) were real actors or not. The expressions in their faces, their mouth movements, all seems so natural and realistic, the voicing was also great, specially Cortana and Chief’s dialogue, Steve Downes really managed to give more emotion to Chief without ruining his tone, and Jen Taylor was just formidable. I also enjoyed very much the plot, after reading all the necessary information to fill in the details, of course, The Didact really was an ancient evil that is awakened, he considers humanity as a threat to Forerunner supremacy and I liked how the events turned out… so I didn’t really like how the story was told in a fragmented way, but I did enjoy the course of the events. For Halo 5, I don’t know about you, but I have a feeling that Chief will want to retire, having lost Cortana and the other Spartans he got close to long ago, he feels very lonely, I mean you can feel it in a dark way, on the final cutscenes, how much he is struggling with his loss, I see a lot of people caring for Cortana’s death, yes Cortana is a memorable part of my childhood also for me but what really impresses me is how this affects Master Chief, that part was very well done and you can actually feel his anguish. Chief also probably feels too old to establish connections to someone else, specially with those Spartan IV’s wanna-be’s, some people didn’t like how they were acting like ordinary marines during the campaign but I say that it fits them just fine, Chief is a legend, the best of the best, he is a reclaimer, how come Sarah Palmer even tries to compare herself to him? The moment he walks by her, in the epilogue, completely dwarfing her, after his contact with the Librarian, I mean I stopped listening to Didact’s speech from that moment on because the level of badassness was too damn high! Her proper place was reassured. Del Rio’s attitude with Chief and Cortana shows he is seen as old and outdated, he won’t fit easily in any group, he needs someone familiar. By the way, the conflict between captain Del Rio and Chief is very revealing on how humans now think they are the pinnacle of creation, good to see Chief persisted on the right decision. So I think Master Chief will, first of all, try to meet Catherine Halsey, she is all that he has left, for being a mother figure of the Spartan II’s and because of Cortana. I really don’t think that reviving the original Cortana is that hard to explain, but I am not sure if I would like to see her come back right away, I mean why kill her to bring her back just like that… I am not sure also about her coming back as a biological form, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Well, now that Humans are no longer fighting for survival, but instead, thriving for galactic supremacy, who knows if we won’t have an overturn and Chief ends up fighting some greedy humans? Although Chief is going through an hard time, and he really seems a darkened character by now, I believe he will not lose sight of what’s right and wrong. All in all, Halo 4’s campaign was something else, took some time to adjust and feel the greatness of the Halo saga once again, but it did it for me, and without too much of a cliffhanger (Chief is safe, at Earth, Cortana is destroyed for now), it raised a great amount of expectation about the way the events will develop in Halo 5 and how will Chief deal with his situation. I totally aprove the focus on exploring and revealing the true nature of Master Chief, I totally aprove the legendary ending showing his eyes, after all we have seen him as a child and also his full body in “Scanned” trailer. However, having liked the not so linear storyline, I wish it was not so fragmented to the point where it really gets in the way of fully enjoying the crucial moments of the campaign. And please, if you are going to do more live-action series, make it connect perfectly with the game, it is a great addition! Thank you very much 343 for your delightful work, you can do it better on Halo 5, but this was a great start, without a doubt.
  17. Ok so ill break it down by section: Campaign: Ive always loved Halo's campaigns, but in every game the mulitplayer overshadows it. To me, not this time. Halo 4's campaign to me was amazing, I loved every bit of it. I didnt have any problems with it except for the fact is was only 7 hours (but thats average I guess) and a lackluster ending (which I'm sure will be solved with 5 and 6, so that part is kind of irrelevant). The story behind it was fantastic, and emotion was displayed like never before in Halo. I'm not gonna give any spoilers but for those who played it youll know what Im talking about. In the end, I give the campaign a 9.5/10 Multiplayer: Sucks. I might be one of the very few who thinks this but i hate the mulitplayer. I hate the fact that the maps are pretty tiny. I've always been a big team slayer guy, and it says a lot when Ragnarok is the biggest map, considering it was a medium sized map at best in Halo 3. What pisses me off though, is that is previous Halo's, there was like a 1-2 minute window from the start of the game to the point you actually started firing at your enemy, depending on the map you play on. Halo 4 youre put right into the action. And I know a lot of people like that, but its very frustrating to me. I do like the ordinance drops and have faith they can take it further in the next games, but at the same time i still wish they would have certain weapons spawn at specific points. I believe 343 can fix this in either DLC's or worse case, wait until 5 or 6. Theyre going in the right direction, but I personally believe they screwed up on multiplayer. I give it a 4.5/10. Forge: I shouldnt have to say much as I havent found one good forum about forging. Its awful, and thats putting it nicely. Our creativity has been taken away by giving us 3 tiny maps to work with. I feel like they tried too hard to make the maps look good to realize that they didnt really give us much to work with. The good news is, this is probably the easiest problem for them to fix. App some maps the DLC or heck even come out with a new DLC specifically for forging. Me personally, I loved sandbox and forge world, but would also like to see either sandtrap, avalanche, or standoff recreated. Forging in Halo 4 gets a 3/10 I havent go a chance to play custom games or spartan ops yet with be being in school and what not. Ive heard spartan ops is amazing and I believe it. However, i have played "Flood", its good, but i would have much rather preferred they stick to regular infection. In the end I give Halo 4 a 7/10. The campaign saved it and they have a lot of work to do. The good news is, this was just their first game. If 343 is anything like Bungie theyll love this criticism as theyll do anything they can to fix the problems in further games. As for me, Ill probably stick to Halo Reachs multiplayer and Halo 3 custom games for now...
  18. How do Cortana and the Chief know that the Forerunner they meet is in fact the Didact? Maybe I missed it but Cortana seems to just pluck the name out of the air, and then everyone (even the Librarian, with whom they've had no contact) refers to him as such for the rest of the game. It seems as though there's no canonical way for them to know that this guy is the Didact until the meet the Librarian and she lays it out for them Their in-game logic seems to be "I read about a Forerunner called the Didact once, I just met a Forerunner, therefore that Forerunner is the Didact" - no dice, this doesn't work
  19. This has been bothering me since halo2. People wondering how he got back to earth as an example... How about if you care about the campaign enough just read the books? I thought the story told in Halo 4 is the best yet and it annoys me to see people bash it due to not reading up on it.
  20. Hi guys, Might be a bit of a silly question (I'm not getting much game time with Halo 4 due to work) but can I play Coop campaign with more than 2 players? Or is it restricted to 2? I was thinking about this the other day. I remember Halo 3 being 4-player for coop which was awesome but I don't remember Reach having 4-player Coop. And yes, I tried Google but I'm not getting any help there. Thanks people
  21. Hey need players for co op legendary please either message me on this reply comment or message my gt Dread illusions thank you
  22. So yhea im I'm on the seventh mission first time on legendary my concern it i can only here dialogue in cut screens and no in game sound and vis versa while playing, i have subs on so i can red what cortana is saying but if any one else has has this problem please tell me how i could fix it Also i have restarted the console re downloaded the install disk and its been constant since day one help!
  23. It took me my entire weekend to complete the campaign on legendary solo, and I was extremely disappointed to see that I never got the Mark VI armor for my character. I have all the achievements related to completing the campaign legendary solo, yet it shows nothing on my xbox live's customizable spartan for halo 4. Does anyone else have this problem? I pre-ordered and did everything to prepare for this game because I love the halo franchise, but this actually makes me anger in a way, like my hard work meant nothing..
  24. Hi 343, i just played the halo 4 campaign solo, on legendary, i loved it but would not like to do it again. I got all the achievements, but not the Master Chief armor, or halo way point status of finishing the games. Is there someway you can look at my achievements, and give me the armor, that would be great. i love your game, but after 9 hours of campaign, i really don't want to restart. Thank you.
  25. I JUST completed the campaign on Legendary (it was amazing!) however there is a major problem. I was awarded the commendation and armor for completing it on Legendary but I was not given the achievements for completing the campaign at all and it locked all of the mission from 6 on down and said I never finished them. Does anyone know how I can fix this without replaying the entire campaign? The game will also reset my curret armor, emblem, loadouts, and sometimes lock them again when I sign in. What the hell is going on???!!! bump
