  1. I was wondering what could happen after Cortana's final events on Halo 4. Supposing that the idea of Cortana not coming back as canon, how would Master Chief get battle assistance, intel on covenant activity, and/or the ability to be able to understand covenant (and forerunner) artifacts? Will he get help from a team, a new companion, or a new AI?

  4. Halo 5 Armour: Suggestions Hey everyone, i'd like to take a moment to propose some ideas and concepts for some halo 5 armour. Firstly i'd like to show everyone some concepts i have designed myself. (More may be added to the post) I am hoping to one day make it in the gaming industry and a pitcher and designer, what this armour originally was was armour that i am making for my own FPS game Pitch. Seeing as i am still in collage and maybe quite far from pitching a game, i may as well see if these armour are good enough for Halo. Interceptor: I drew this helmet freehand, The fashion i was trying to project with this helmet is Brutal, Heavily Armoured, Sleek and Technical. The purpose of wearers of this helmet would be to intercept enemies from primary objectives. This would be done in an all risk full brutality firefight. The heavy design and lack of a visor suggests a very technical nature of this gear. Ranger (Original name) Fine Liner Free Drawing: Fully Rendered: This helmet is by far one of my favorite concepts, sadly currently sharing the name of a current halo 4 helmet measures will have to be ensured to change this. This helmet is designed for rogue scouts that patrol of recon an area. The visor clearly shown wraps around the front and side of the helmet, giving well over 180 degrees puerperal vision. Another matter i would like to address is how th armour affects us. Halo armour has always just made our Spartans look pretty, i think it is time they got giving a use. Armour pieces should now be given designated statistics. My suggestion to these are as follows: Mobility / Weight: Damage Resistance: (Maybe more) These statistics show that armour should affect the player in terms of battle and mobility. It would create interesting ways in which players can play the game. Players should also have the ability to have a transparent visor, removed helmet, or removed armour pieces. Upon shooting places that armour was removed the player will take much more damage. Another suggestion i would like to make is to make sure that all armour is achievable. I loved the armour in Halo 4, but some armours are just too hard to get or completely unachievable. Examples: Stances: (Breach, Believe and Standoff) are all far too hard to get! They should be made much easier and should suit a play style instead of getting kills with a bunch of weapons. I have seen one person with Breach and one with believe. Standoff is just ridiculous, No gametypes have fuel rod cannons, beam rifles or gravity hammers even spawn! Sorry 343, but thats Crazy! Assault stance is achievable, but still far to hard. Armour: Vanguard, Protector (Skin), Commando, are just out of the question ridiculous. I have never seen anyone with these armours. And disappointingly there are my favorites. They would take bare months to achieve. A set of armour that requires a designated goal should only take a bare maximum of 8 Solid gameplay hours to achieve. (If i could make a suggestion, It shouldn't require the "Master" level on a commendation. I feel that the level master is very fair, but you shouldn't be required to reach it for all armours. Visors: Verdant was very hard to get and far too enduring. I feel if it was lowed by at least half it would be fair. I forget the name of it but the red visor requiring avenger medals is very hard. The message i am trying to get across here (And i definitely don't blame 343, it was their first game and they wouldn't have known how it would go down) but now they know (: so c'mon 343! One last thing that isn't entirely relevant. I Don't think all specializations should be available for unlock straight away, some should be restricted until you have done more, per say, completed a number of specializations.   6. hi im your stereotyped 15 y old nerd and i just wanted to share my oppinion on halo 5 and what you need to change and or add 1. BRING BACK EPIC MUSIC xD part of what made the original halo trilogy truly epic was that beutiful soundtrack at the start it was amazing and something every halo fan holds close to there heart 2. make it less Call Of Duty like what made halo special was that it wasnt completly stereotyped, its had -had- a great story, the guns cant feal to straight forward example halo ce plasma pistol or needler and halo 2 energy sword or in multiplayer there shouldnt be load outs 3. more epic halo 2s mstr chf flying thru space with the bomb into the convenant ship or halo 3s ending i mean where the hell is the epic in halo 4 master cheif feals like he belongs on jersey shore not saveing humanity from all out extinction AGAIn 4. better story at the rate your going i may actually leave my sofa and get a girlfriend -which would be terrible- .i liked the story of halo 4 but i didnt LOVE the story of halo 4 (i cried at the ending to halo 3 and that was last week) i mean really killing off cortana? the arbiter hasnt even shown his face and johnson doesnt even have a white doplganger no no were forced to stay on a single planet THIS IS SPACE 5. more interesting combat ai first off i completed the first mission of halo 4 in about 40 minutes on the hardest difficulty and didnt die once i mean how hard is it to make a game hard. when you focused your attention on the new prometheans you made combat quite boring and methodical all the ai are made with a purpose and theres only one way to take them out properly which there shouldnt be, shooters dont have much to make there gameplay appealing but the style of execution for your foes (take that from me and i may as well be socialising) appart from those 5 problems halo 4 did a good job for the multiplayer even if the story and campaign lacked much thank you for reading i can only hope that you may yet implement some of my ideas

  13. Look, I've been playing Halo almost all of my life and I even have the Halo 3 edition xbox, and with this new Halo 4, I love it but the fact of the rankings are limited at 130 is just absurd. Even with reach, it'd take forever to get to the highest ranking, not like a month in which some players are able to get to 130. It should take much much much longer than that. With this game, the specializations, maps, and just about everything are amazing, the rankings are the only thing that needs to be different, or at least MORE. This is just a suggestion on what could be different about this, new ideas, or just about anything. Help?

  15. Halo 5 Weapons: (What we want!) Introduction: Well, If it isn't already to start talking about Halo 5! Here we are going to talk about all of the awesome weapons we want in halo 5! Hope you enjoy! The Weapons: Flare Cannon: (Promethean) - This weapon is not designated as a weapon to directly inflict damage on your opposition, rather blind all enemies temporarily in its fired round's proximity, or any friendlies not careful enough to note it. I Feel the flare cannon should have the appearance of a stubby and bulky weapon with a single round magazine, spawning with about 3 rounds. Acid Hound: (Covenant) - This weapon would be a powerful close quarters weapon that sprays corrosive acid on close enemies, partially inflicting their vision whilst the acid lingers on the ground, slowing and damaging enemies, The weapons would be rare ordinance and run on charge / Fuel. SR - Support rifle (UNSC) - A fully automatic low rate of fire precision rifle with no zoom. Lots of ammunition and damage slightly lower than that of a Battle rifle's. This weapon would be great for helping you team mates by effortlessly dropping ammunition into your foes with ease to help speed up the kills in long streaks. Peirce rifle: (Covenant) - A powerful needle based sniper rifle with slightly shorter zoom than a regular sniper and a 3 shot kill, 2 to the head. With a slightly higher rate of fire than a regular sniper, but with less recoil. I feel a rifle as such with provide much more interesting game play to medium sized slayer and objective matches. Swarm Cannon: (UNSC) - This one is slightly more unusual for a halo game. A large very powerful rocket launcher that locks onto targets (Personnel / Vehciles ect.) and fires roughly 8 rockets very rapidly to seek in a obliterate targets. The introduction of this weapon would most likely subtract the rocket launcher's lock on feature. Honor Spear: (Covenant) - Referring to the large spears wielded by elite honor guards, this weapon would be a extended melee weapon, upon holding down the trigger initiates a charge feature, bringing you out to 3rd person and moving at a much faster than walking pace, upon walking into foes you would pierce and kill them. There would also be a feature for you to throw the spear at a foe instantly killing them yet leaving you without the spear and have it free for other to pick up. Normal attacks wont feature a lunge, but rather a 2 hit kill very rapid swing attack. SMG: (UNSC) [Returning] - I know that we all loved the SMG. However it was never quite cut out to be a Primary weapon, so i had the idea that it should be nerfed and designated a late unlock side arm. Which would be great for multiplayer game changing in small maps. With less damage than the AR of course. Pulse Rifle: (UNSC) - This weapon, i intend again to create interesting game changing. Upon firing this weapon a massive sonic wave would be sent out knocking over any enemies on front of you and slightly damaging their shields. Either giving you the upper hand in equal battles of give you the change to escape from large groups of enemies. This weapon would spawn with a very low ammo count. Rouge Rifle: (UNSC) - A loadout weapon unlocked either at a very high level or after a rigorous achievement, this weapon with a very small reticle yet much more powerful rounds and a low rate of fire. This weapon would be worked very well with a powerful scope, possibly with some sort or special system for seeking out enemies by outlining visible ones with a a red outline. This weapon would be very hard to use but in the hands of a skilled owner it could drop foes faster than the DMR. I will Submit more ideas soon! Thank you for reading!   20. I always loved custom games and forges in Halo 3/Reach. But in Halo 4, there isn't as much opportunity. The file share isn't great yet, and most of my friends don't have halo 4. I know there are some great custom games and forges out there, but you have to search by someone's gamertag. Then when I find one, I have no one to play with. I was wondering if anyone was interested in getting a group/clan/community together for forging, custom games, and Halo 4 in general so everybody has more people to play with. Hello Everyone, It is my personal opinion that Halo 4 DLC should include a map that has new forging possibilities, such as "Sandbox" did for us all in Halo 3. 343i, please give us new shaped objects, interactive objects, and Environmental Skins, (Skins that make sense being on the map they are on! AKA- Sandbox and Foundry). Also, skins that blend the objects together like Halo 3's forging system... Let me explain. Anybody who was a great forger from Halo 3, knew how to interlock objects, geomerge (Push and save objects into the map geometry) and similar things. THOSE have been integrated into Forge now, which is nice. HOWEVER, the objects do not flow together anymore. Halo 3's Sandbox items fit with the map they came with. They also were all the same skin which made them help flow together. For instance, Double Blocks could be interlocked together and look like one large block. Now in forge, none of the items flow together like this. Also in Halo 3's forge, the scenery, or "structure" items appeared to have a soft surface so once interlocked they appeared to merge together very well. In Reach and Halo 4's Forge Systems the blocks have hard surfaces, so they do not interlock well. Now, as for the new shaped objects I think EVERY forger would appreciate, there were some objects that were the same, such as blocks and what not, but we were also given objects such as "Fins" and "Obelisks" (Struts and Obelisks are not the same objects...) All these Halo: Reach objects are nice to have on the default maps, but we dont need the same objects for every forge map, because then there is no point in having 3 different forge maps in place of a forge-world. The only change is the defaulty scenery/geometry, which isn't always used in forged maps. In my opinion, mid-sized enclosed maps, & floating maps, are the best. That is why the sky bubble was so great! Anyway, new objects open up a huge door of possibilities for forge. We all know its very possible to create a new set of objects per map, and would greatly appreciate it. One more thing with new forge map DLCs would be a larger open terrain. In all honesty, we are incredibly restricted in making BTB maps. We need more room, not less room on more maps. Last but not least, we do not need more "pre-fabricated" objects, such as towers and buildings. Some would be nice, but it feels as though forge is getting too lazy with these huge - already made objects. These large recognizable objects make maps too generic. So, in conclusion, I think I speak for the entire forging community when I say, "Please give us a DLC map w/ new objects and skins!" (Perhaps concrete blocks instead of stone would be great) It will greatly improve forge for everyone and open new possibilities for new maps and creations! 343i Thank you for taking the time to read my opinion, and I hope you will take some of these ideas into consideration. Our very own, The Halo Forge Epidemic, has done a stunning review for this up and coming game. They did the review because they are technically a "gaming" channel so they fall under all gaming categories. But they also fit well with this game because of it's stunning FORGE EDITOR! Sacrifice (may change name if a better one comes up) Concept idea for a new mode Based on the campaign Librarian Memory sequence Concept- A survival mode that doesn’t end till you and your team die from the Flood (The Halo Arrays fire) Description- The Spartan fire team(you decide) enters a Forerunner construct and accidently re activate an ancient ancilla that links all the Spartans to the last moments of the Forerunners memories .The Forerunners have lost and the remaining survivors huddle in their defensive place as the flood pours in. The Halo Arrays are charging and readying to fire. This is not about survival the Forerunner race this is the last fight the end of the forerunners. The Classes The Builder Security- The builder Security an architect of the Forerunner Empire’s defense is also the architect of its people’s demise. The builder Nightborn lost his people, his home, and his way of life… but he hasn’t lost his family and fights for them. (When the Halo Array finally fires he has a holo link with his family showing them disappear like composing then he himself and he flood invading disappear in a flash) Abilities- Construction- Construction allows for the creation of specialized constructs ranging from Turrets to Synthetic Constructs. Construction type Turrets- Nightborn can create a turret a specified local that can be upgraded and repaired/reconstituted by watchers. How upgrading would work- When using the D-pad selection for turret you look at the turret you want to upgrade and press the D-pad selection. Construction type Sentinels-Nightborn can teleport in sentinel class constructs to assist in the defense. How Sentinels would work- Using the D-pad look at any location and a group of sentinels will appear to assist by either repairing defenses or attacking enemy forces same upgrading method works. Construction type Promethean-Nightborn has access to the Didacts elite warrior constructs and can teleport them into assist in the defense. How Prometheans would work/Upgrade- Same as the Sentinels Construction type Weapon pack teleport pad-The builder can teleport in a weapon teleport pad for allies to use to teleport in new weapons. How the teleport pad would work- Players would use the pad to use points they’ve accumulated to get new weaponry or ammo for their current weaponry. How upgrading the teleport pad would work- As the teleport pad is upgraded heavier weaponry will be teleported in. (Weapons would be randomly selected with heavier weaponry being harder to get) Recycling- Anytime there is excess weaponry on the field you can chose to recycle these weaponry for resources needed for construction. The Promethean Hunter-The Promethean named The Hunter was deemed by the Didact too important to join the other Prometheans in composition and instead sent him to fight and coordinate the Forerunner forces in threat of the Floods advance. His title was earned by his ability to ruthlessly kill Flood key targets and escape unseen. He has nothing left in this world but his people and will do anything to protect them. (His death scene involves watching the last of the Forerunner people being vaporized) Abilities- Advanced Camouflage-The Hunter can remain completely cloaked while moving and running and firing (this deception doesn’t mean you can walk into the enemy wave and snipe everything.) The Lifeworker- The Lifeworkers were the saviors of all life protecting and evolving it now with the Halo Array the Lifeworkers final project was to save life. The Lifeworker Life given to the Mantle had finished his goal and saved the last of the index now with nowhere left to flee he heals the mortally wounded and injured soldiers helping ease the last of their pain. With nothing left to save he helps the others in the defense helping his fellow Forerunners. (His death scene would be watching his fellow comrades be vaporized in front of him knowing he could do nothing to avoid this fate.) Abilities- Advanced Regeneration Field- The deployable field grants temporary Overshields as the users are in the field once they leave the field the Overshield is gone. The Promethean Warrior- When the Didact was originally attempting to make himself immune to the Flood he experimented on his fellow Prometheans. Fallen born of light, one of the elite Prometheans was among the first to assist the Didact in the experiment. While Fallen was considered a failure his brevet mutation allowed him to have an increased combat efficiency against the Flood. Due to the nature of the Flood the Didact informed Fallen that should the Flood ever attempt to infect him his suits ancilla would begin an immediate self-termination to prevent the flood from using his brevet mutation against the Forerunner people. (His death scene is that a flood forcibly attempts to infect him and he then hears his ancilla telling him goodbye.) Abilities- Telekinetic Push/Pull- Fallen can use his brevet mutation to either pull an enemy towards him or forcibly send an enemy flying away. Using the D-pad you can change the polarity from push to pull. Enemy Types- Flood- Infection Form- Simple infection form easily destroyed Combat Form-These are infected Human and Forerunner people who have been turned against their own people to further spread the infection. Combat forms come in two varieties ranged and melee forms. -Combat Form Ranged- These combat forms use ranged weaponry to attack you. -Combat Form Melee- These human combat forms have lost the ability to use ranged weaponry and has grown blades out of their arms to slice enemies to pieces. Carrier Forms- These combat forms bodies have lost their utility and have become mobile suicide infection spreading Flood bombs. When they detonate they release multiple infection forms. Pure Forms- These Flood are not made from host infection but the very Flood mass itself and have the ability to transform their forms. These types of flood are very deadly and require heavy weaponry to destroy. -Tank Form-This juggernaut is a heaving mass of destruction that will rip anything near it to bloody shreds. -Stalker Form-These annoying pure forms harass and sneak upon you defenses. While less armored and easier to destroy, this type will become bothersome to destroy. -Ranged Form-This form of pure form relies on firing spines at enemies as their only means of offense. -Mortar form- The tripod like Mortar form releases explosive spores at the players position and must be destroyed if defenses are to be made safe. These forms transform directly from ranged forms. Juggernaut Form- This beast of the flood forms is rarely encountered and is incredibly deadly. This form uses whip arms to smash defenses to rubble and splatter defenses to paste.   25. So Far Cry 3 is Just Around The Corner And It Looks Sweet Far Cry is not a game that I've ever gotten into, but this review suddenly makes me want to. Our very own, The Halo Forge Epidemic, has done a stunning review for this up and coming game.
