  4. Halo 4 Intro Screen Revealed Here is a really quick video that gives us insight into the Halo 4 Introduction screen. It talks about all of the menus that we will have on our title screen. How to get into the different areas of the menu. We get a brief screenshot view of the campaign menu. And much more. The menu seems to be more simplified yet up to date compared to Halo Reach. And I love that you get to choose the Rally Point that you wish to start up at. What do you think about the new and (in my opinion) improved intro and menu Screens?

If you look at the 2:15 mark in the recent behind the scenes video, towards the bottom left you will see an unidentified creature. This creature looks very similar to a crawler, but is slimmer and much more dog like. This can also be seen in the E3 trailer, but I didn’t think much of it back then. Now compare this with the original crawler and the more heavily armored crawler spotted in Spartan Ops. Some believe that the wolf-like promethean is just another class of crawler which varies in its strength and tactics from other crawlers. Perhaps it is the fastest/weakest type of crawler, because instead of having a fully armored pincer head, it has an exposed smaller head. Just a thought, either way I think it looks awesome.

Notice that the jackals in these images are a lot more fierce looking, also their heads are more thicker and buffer were as before their head structure was a lot more thinner and their mouths were longer and had a "Beak" like structure. There is a real major difference with the Halo 4 Jackals. Here are some images of Jackals from previous games just to give you a better view of the differences they have.
  9. Here is a comment Frank O'Connor replied to Louis Wu regarding Quick time events. We have seen some quick time events in video, trailers and vidoc's, such as the Chief climbing over some scaffolding/ wreckage, prying open door and the part where the Chief throws an Elite over a ledge. But the the questions is do we control those quick time moments or do they happen automatically like they do in Reach? Here is the comment Frank O'Connor gave: "I would point out these moments are rare and only happen during events that are things you can't normally do physically. The first level has a couple of them to "train" you, but they won't be frequent or presented as QTE problems. They're transitional or cinematic vignettes that don't yank you out of the action.   10. go on google sketchup, click on the 'file' button, scroll down to 3D Warehouse and search 'UNSC Buffalo' if you dont have sketchup type in google and type the same thing (UNSC Buffalo) click the first option and feast your eyes.... This is pretty much the UNSC version of a scarab and would be awsome to see this as a playable feature in either Multiplayer, campaing, forge or custom games GOOD FOR: INVASION GAMETYPES BTB GAMETYPES WOULD HAVE ISSUES WITH: KILLING THE THING MOBILITY OF THE THING ETC ASSUMING BY THE PICS: CAN CHANGE INTO A TRACKED TYPE VEHICLE (LIKLE A MASIVE ELEPHANT) HAS ANTI-AIR AND ANTI-GRAOUND WEAPONS HAS A VEHICLE BAY IN THE REAR 343 pleas look and take note that this would be a brilliant game addition, even if it is only avaible in campaign and forge/custom games EDIT: POLL ADDED
  11. Okay..So everyone is giving there two cents and quite frankly i love everyones. I just haven't seen the one I am asking..Here it is. Skys, So we all know Spartan IV's are going to be in the campaign..if not..we'd be with the best UNSC has to offer assuming? The occasional normal marine here and there. But if there will be Spartan IV's we all would hope to "assume" that they wouldn't be like any AI. Smarter. (Kat, Jeorge, Carter etc..) So let me get to the good part..What if since the Spartan IV's are integrated in the MP and Campaign..They somehow join? Here me out..Our Spartan IV is featured in our campaign? If you create a MP Spartan and fully customize it. It comes to life in halo 4s campaign? Maybe in a mission..We see our spartan in battle and it is integrated with the halo 4 campaign. Maybe tie it in depending on skill/rank. Prime examples..Not comparing. Mass Effect 3 after level 20 in MP you can ship him off as a War Asset. Sort of the same thing but with a cinematic presence.. Sorry for the long post and kind of meaningless banter. But i felt it neccessary to get the point across:) Anyone like it? I just sat here at work thinking of what I'd like to see my Spartan do..Besides basic training in war games:P Also like it if you agree or comment:)
  12. People have been dumping on Halo Reach for awhile, so I wanted people to compare their experiences by ranking each Halo game for both the campaign and the multiplayer. Campaign 1. Halo CE/CEA 2. Halo Reach 3. Halo 2 4. Halo Wars 5. Halo ODST 6. Halo 3 Multiplayer 1. Halo 2 2. Halo CE/CEA (connected Xbox to Xbox for 4-on-4 or 8-man multiplayer) 3. Halo Reach 4, Halo 3 5.   13. Hey guys was just scouring google for halo 4 information using the 24 hour filter and came across new pictures and information about the Halo 4 Limited Edition. At first glance you see schematics and briefing packets but upon further inspection you get a look at 2 discs. 1 of them is Halo 4, the other could be the Forward Unto Dawn series, or it could be a 2 disc split between campaign and multiplayer. Either way this is a much better look at the Limited Edition and may convince some people to buy it. You get to see the 2 emblems along with armor. Pictures are below.
  14. I have posted an idea of a UNSC version of the scarab (called the UNSC Buffalo) i'd like to know if this vehicle has been put into the game but i cant find a list of confirmed vehicles. If anyone has any links or if a 343 mod can give some hints i'd be very thankfull

But if so then I have got a clan that is available for you to join. : DJ clan : Dear Players The DJ clan is a simple clan and requires your gamer tag to be changed to DJ Example ?? and two numbers replacing the question marks. A bit about the clan is that it requires NO age limit. Of course if your like 5 or younger then no, but we at least need a mature player who understands the concepts of life. -__- . Anyways, the clan is fun to be in because we can go from playing matchmaking together, mostly infection, to show the clan's teamwork in surviving 3 waves of zombie hordes. Another thing we do is play on Custom Games (what is Fun without that?) . On Custom Games, we pretty much play what ever the people agree on playing. Their are about 15 people in the clan, and yes it is a little because little means more order to keep the clan together and to contact each other easily. Well there you have it, the DJ clan, if you don't like it then move on and stop wasting your time.   18. I've heard a few people in my xbox friends list say that the halo 4 campaign is already finished. They're now only taking out minor bugs and glitches. So my question is this true?
  19. I don't know why there aren't more posts about this, as there is definitely a problem. Over several boxes, in several different locations (I went as far as 100 miles from home to test), I noticed there is terrible campaign lag with co-op. Whoever is host has a perfect play, and the client lags up to .2 to .5 seconds, making precision aiming or jumping impossible. I grew up pretty far from where I live now, and playing with all my friends from there is a blast...but not this game, not campaign, and I really hope someone finds a fix for this. I've tried a wired controller, I've tried using original graphics, and I've tried playing with someone in the same town. I'm pretty experienced in IT (it's my job), and I'm pretty sure I've ruled out all the usual suspects. I'm also running a terrible fever of 102, so forgive me for the Robo-rant.
  20. Here are my thoughts on Halo 4. Alright, lets Begin! Weapons: The weapons I think are returning are the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Sniper, Pistol, and Rocket Launcher. Why? Well because those have been some of the Main Weapons in all Halo's. If not them, then probably different versions of them. Also, I'm not to sure for Covenant Weapons, because we are done with them right? Maybe the Elites will become Allies though, therefore returning some Covenant weapons. I do NOT think Bloom, Armor Abilities or any Reach weapons will make a return, since their not in canon with Halo 4. And well, they suck... They might be for certain playlist's or Custom Games though. What I'm trying to say is that since we've had 3 games set after Reach, it wouldn't make sense for things that only appeared in Halo: Reach, to be in Halo 4. Because you then have to wonder, why the didn't appear in any of the games after Reach. Vehicles: I think the Mongoose, Warthog (confirmed), Tank, and the Hornet will make a return. Along with other vehicles like the Pelicans. And maybe the Elephant for Multiplayer? Armor: Some of the Halo 3 "Fan-Favorite" Armor like Recon and Hayabusa will make a return, and the rest will probably be new ones 343 have made.. Also, this gets me thinking... If were done with the Covenant, then does that mean no more Elite Armor? Not too sure.. They'll probably be back somehow. Probably as Allies. Forge: Forge I think, is going to be flat-out AWESOME! I personally think theres going to be new tools like the rumored "Glue", "Copy and Paste", and "Undo" option.And stuff like Weather/Terrain Control, Environment Editing (Trees, rocks), Drop-Pods, Sliding Doors. And maybe even stuff like broken Vehicles and Blood Stains for Machinimas or Realism. Copy and Paste: Instead of re-creating a piece. Just copy it and place it somewhere else on the map. Undo: Lets you undo any mistakes like accidently deleting stuff on accident. Glue: If you need to, instead of having to move a creation piece by piece somewhere else. Just select the glue option to make it all one option. Flood Fight/FireFight: I think there should be a new version of FireFight called Flood Fight. Where you square off in survival against waves of Flood. Kind of like Halo: CEA'S Mission: The Library. It could also maybe become a New Infection Gametype, where players square off 8v8. One team are players who spawn as Flood Forms who try to Infect you. While the other team are players who spawn as Spartans trying to Survive until the Round is Over. I did not come up with this idea, but have revised and wrote the way I think it should be. As for Good ol' Firefight. I think they just need to Re-Vamp or make it a little more like Halo 3: ODST. Matchmaking: Matchmaking is probably going to stay close to how it usually is, maybe some new Game Modes. But I would really just want it to go back to the style of Halo 1, 2, and 3. And have the Ranking System go Back to Halo 2 and 3. It was Legit. And if Elites are back, then I want them and the Spartans to be equal's again like Halo 3. Also, not a Kill-Cam like in Call of Duty, But at the end of each game. A video pops up showing the Game Winning Kill. What do you think? Also, an idea of mine, is to make a new Playlist called "ODST". Where it is basically the same as regular matchmaking, but everyone are ODST's. The health system would be based off the game Halo: 3 ODST. And maybe when the Game starts, You and your team spawn in Drop-Pods. I think that would be pretty epic. Here are some Game-Types I came up with: ODST Team Slayer - 4v4 Slayer ODST Rumble Pit - Free for All ODST CTF - 4v4 Capture the Flag ODST FireFight - Classic Firefight ODST Swat - 4v4 Team Swat with the Killer ODST Magnum It seems like it would create and attract a New Halo Fan-Base. And suit some of the Halo Universe who love the playing style of Halo 3: ODST, more than regular Halo. It would also be nice to try something new. And just so we're all clear, I don't mean the whole matchmaking. But just a small playlist to play this in. I just think this would bring in a whole new fan-base and group of players. It would create a whole new community, and you could play something a little different if you ever got bored of playing as a spartan in Multi-Player.   21. Okay now I am not the best with seeing the whole picture nor do I have keen sense of detail. I may be a bit of a Halo radical and I see that now. I didn't hate Reach and still don't, but I don't think it was the best Halo either. I honestly believe that many of the reasons the "core fan base" say they hate Reach for are actually in hindsight only coincidental affected aspects that are made to branch off from the real issues. And I believe one of those is that Reach wasn't really part of the epic and familiar trilogy we know and love. Reach on its own honestly didn't impress me much as a story I admit. Maybe it was a little sketchy because Bungie was kind of taking a leap of faith even though I am one of the many that promoted this. I still thought Reach had a great campaign the first time I played through, but it just lacked diversity or at least a feel of different scenarios. I think the main issue is that in truth Reach is like a entirely new IP in spirit and it failed to capture us like CE. It was like trying to breed a new and nostalgic feel in a evolved body, but that role is already cemented in CE. It is a prequel and was intended to stand alone from the other games. It didn't inherent the legacy and energy from the other games naturally. It truly had to be built from the ground up in that sense and this is what we missed. Maybe it would have been 5xs more impressive if it was Halo 4 and we were still with chief. If we were going with some passed on energy from previous games, but it wasn't. It was a stand alone title and relative to the cohesive glory of the other games it just didn't match up. And it didn't grab us like CE did when it kicked off the trilogy. But now I'm not going to try to rant about campaign or even about other aspects of Halo because like I said before I am not the best with details and seeing the whole picture. I don't hate Reach so I'm not going to rant anyway. I want to say hi and I hope to post some idea and discussion threads later on and get along with this community, and just observe the creative bomb rush of activity on these forums.

Instead of using 2 Baracades to make a drop pod that is never garentied to work every time, how about 343 add actual drop pods that can be ridden like a vehicle and activate their own paracute system to save human error. I mean this would add a new dynamic to the gameplay (instead of having to use grav lifts or jet packs to break a fall and risk being kill by suicide/ sniper have a pod to drop in and have a garentied safe landing) i think it would be a good idea, so please refelce you opinions in comments and in the poll
