  1. I belive that people should be able to spawn NPC's like marines, spartans, firebats, grunts, elites, some flood units, ect, (most covenant and UNSC , and few flood units included) Im not sure, but I might want to have AI units like spartans, elites that use armor abillities and, may have a map scanning system where it checks some or ALL possible paths and points of interest (such as weapons like shotguns and rockets or vehicles like scorpions or wraiths) That's all I have to say really but if anyone has any comments or ideas, you are free to share.

As you all know, the only vehicles worth using in Halo Wars was the Vultures, a pelican with roofed heat seeking missile ports, Machine guns and missile barrages, and the Locusts, mini scarabs that shot focus beams. Since Halo 4 is right around the corner, we need to act DOUBLE FAST! so let's be general, casual forum readers and let's tell them what we think about this! First off, I would only recommend that a vulture is a neutral vehicle placed in the middle of the area, rather than every team is flying with millions of missiles at hand. And limit Locusts like wraiths, but keep them handy. Also, Locusts need to have a secondary firing option and overheating that opens the upper canopy and makes the driver vulnerable from behind. A must feature for the vulture is that when a player ejects from it, the vulture must auto-pilot back to the landing zone. Otherwise players will be able to use the vultures large mass as an obstruction or a bridge or whatever. Also, the vulture is a one man vehicle. Even if these aren't forgeable, they will still be fascinating to the 1st person view. In conclusion, this would be worth the game delay. But I'm making this thread for you guys, so what do you guys feel about adding more vehicles into Halo 4?

This Clan is based around the Halo Reach forge, but we venture into other game editing systems like Far Cry 2 and Minecraft. When you think about why you disliked forge world, you'll never be able to summarize the conclusion up into one sentence, which is why I'm going to tell all of your guys Ideas along with mine to 343i. so if I may, 343i, Please: Fix the coordination ( if you don't know what I'm talking about, refer to my post about the EC tool) Make more flat areas Proximity the boundaries with walls, not "Return to Battlefield" !   7. Hello everyone, RaInCrY22 here, I have just watched the making of halo 4 part 2 and had come up with a brilliant, yet simple trait that 343 Industries may want to add into the game. Okay here's my idea : Scorpion/vehicle Emblem customization. When watching the video I noticed the new scorpion was so detailed that it actually had a skull emblem on the side + I think the UNSC logo. Imagine this.. You enter a scorpion tank, and the emblem changes to your current emblem, which will then display on the outside of the tank. COOL ENOUGH FOR YOU?!? How about.. 10 tanks with the same emblem on the side - awesome enough for theatre mode? Teams would have a whole new detail to enhance video 'uniqueness'. NOW FOR ALL THE FORGERS ! - LIKE MYSELF, I <3 FORGE Now that my brain is bubbling with ideas, I think it would also be cool if they could make a 'plate' - like the objective plate shape you see in forge mode, or even a square one. Imagine if it could display YOUR unique emblem, then PLACE THAT BAD BOY ON YOUR BASE! Don't forget, my main focus is customizing emblems on vehicles. Try to get enough attention to this so that 343 might consider it! Remember, the game is less than 60 days away from being released!

They are going to try and shut down the Energy Generators (Conveniently located outside the base). The purpose of these articles is to help those forgers within the forum so that they get ideas that may improve their maps. I will be posting these on free-will with no specific schedule but my own.   11. Information From Frank's Twitter Frank O'Connor has tweeted confirming that a map remake will be in Halo 4. He has not confirmed which map it is yet but gives a very brief description. Here is what he said: "Halo 4 only includes one map remake. I know what it is, it is good. It will cause the least drama of any new thing. It is NOT Small." I'm thinking maybe its Blood Gulch but who knows, leave a comment on what map you want it to be. View full article

  14. A lot like the Shade Turret, I think that that rear gun of the warthog variants should be forgeable as a stationary turret like the ones featured in Halo 3: ODST campaign. This would eliminate the need to forge a whole warthog and then surrounding it in other objects so only the turret can be used. I think we all can agree this was an issue in forge 2.0. They could give us the standard anti-air gun, gauss, rocket, and maybe any new type of warthog's gun in Halo 4. Any thoughts?
  15. Ok, so this has bothered me ever since Halo Reach. The picture of the map that you see in the lobby before a game starts that shows part of the map, I think it would be cool if the map creator could change that picture with a camera mode so maps created on other maps don't all look the same. Sort of like how any map made on Forge World looked the same according to their picture. It would make maps look more unique I think. Thoughts?
  16. I had this idea of having the skins for some vehicles be changeable. An example would be how in Halo 3 on Avalanche, the UNSC vehicles where snow/arctic themed. This,I think, would be very cool to be able to change the skins to the mongoose, warthog, scorpion, falcon, and any other new Halo 4 vehicles kind of like how you could choose the object colors in Halo Reach. Some skins could be default, forest, desert, arctic/snow, or odst themed (black). So what do you think?

Picture Overview: http://halo.xbox.com...etails=30456500 Gamertag: "Not Ajtiger2" Map: Suspense Gametype: Team Slayer (Red/Blue), Assault, CTF This is a Team-based, symmetrical map focused on a bridge over a gorge. Made mostly for fun, unique gameplay, a notable feature is an exploding/collapsing center section of the bridge, activated by players. Teleports on top of each base's tower teleport you to a lower section below the bridge, while teleports on the lower section teleport you to either side of the bridge. The lower section hosts two banshees, however a sniper rifle in the lower-center and a spartan laser in the very middle if the bridge can easily destroy them with a bit of skill. Long spawn times for weapons and risk/reward balances tend to balance the map well, while making gameplay still exciting. Despite the powerful weapons placed, a good ol' DMR or Assault Rifle can still do much damage, especially with long sight lines AND close combat involved. Each side of the gorge hosts a team's base, with the tower being the main target in assault and CTF gametypes. Due to the amount of action on this map, it is made for 8-16 players, however it is still playable with less.   18. Hello, my name is PizzaGrenade. I am kinda a n00b forger but I am learning and trying to develop new skills. I recently created this map but I haven't been able to set up a group for testing. I would really like to test it out so I am asking for you help. The map is called Deconstruction. The inspiration for the map was a building being taken apart. It is an asymmetrical map with several platforms and rooms with different unique looks for both. The aesthetics presented on the map include: Cranes, a table, and a (non-working) elevator system. It just looks like it has and elevator but I could not attach a system. Maybe I will put it in later because it can create a quick way to get to the top level. The only game type I have tested is free-for-all with a couple of friends but all I know is that it works with four people. I don't know what to change. So after testing it with a larger group, I would like comments and critizism from each member of the testing groups. I would like to know: What doesn't work, what does work, what I should take away, and what I should add (besides the working elevator system).   19. The point to this thread is that hopefully I will catch peoples (343's) attention so they dont make the same mistakes Bungie made with the Halo Reaches Forge World. One of the biggest mistakes (in my opinion) that Bungie made in the Halo Reach Forge World is, that they had specific plans for each forgeable area, like the Rock was used for Pinnacle, the Cliff Side was used for Asylum, the Canyon was used for Hemmorhage, etc and the rest of the areas are extremely unusefull such as the Island, the Island is pretty mucha map by itself, and the places over the Canyon have no boundaries. This was a mistake, you need to make forging areas that can be redesigned (by the forger) hundreds of times. Most forgers such as myself want to make fun and visually stunning maps made for competetive reasons. I do love the new shadow maps that the objects get or give to the map in the Halo 4 Forge and all the niffty little tools like Magnets, Duplicate and Lock, but we need something that will make a big impact (but "reasonable" ideas) to major forgers. Also I woudl hope that there would be objects that would have similar designs as to what enviroment you are working in, for example, say you have a railing that looks like the Forrunner rails in the Reach Forge World, but in a different enviroment such as a UNSC ship you have the same object but it looks like the UNSC railing, these kind of objects would go along why to helping us forgers make that stunning maps we dream of. Here are some questions that I would like to have asnwered. 1: If you have and entire map built with magnets activated (on every single object), when you select an object will it move the entire network? 2: Can you multi select, for example, select a folder on your computer and the hold shift and select another one, can you do that? 3: Will we see a larger Natural objects pallet?
  20. So as the title suggests, in Halo: Reach Forge, I am having issues with Forge pieces shifting after a clean save. Upon save I go back into Forge mode to double-check placement of all of the pieces and they are fine. When I go to Custom game, pieces shift on their axis'. Now I have seen this in different variations such as a piece shifting up or down or even to the side. Though the shift is barely visible, I notice. *Side note - when Forging I always use the 90 degree snap lock feature to lock the pieces in place unless it's not possible to for rock or weapon placement or other aesthetic features. I guess this is more of a minor frustrating issue that I have encountered but an issue none-the-less. If anyone has any advice, I welcome it. - Choot
  21. So, I've been thinking about this a bit lately. Will I need to buy a hard drive/USB drive for my Xbox just to play in Custom Games and Forge? I kind of feel like I'm obligated to do so, as the previous Halo titles didn't require 8 GIGS of extra storage space for that. I'm not sure if anyone else has already made a thread on this topic, so sorry if this seems like a copypasta.
  22. well currently my gamertag is billybobjoe2111. wanting to change it. but im new and i have 1 question that ive really wanted to ask about forge. havent looked much on here since i just found this site but if anyone culd answer or find a link for my answer it wuld be greatly appreciated. my question is: will there be a limit to wat we can forge? like the money limit or the object use limit like in reach? beacause in reach i wuld make really good maps and only need a few finishing touches but i wuld run out of items and/or money and it wuld totally ruin the map. so if someone culd please give me an answer it wuld be greatly appreciated

Recently, several Bozeman citizens have been reported missing, and strange noises have been heard coming from the woods around Tangier's compound. Calls to local and federal agencies have gone unanswered, so the residents of Bozeman have taken matters into their own hands. They put together a militia investigation task force made up of 4-15 local residents. (good thing 4-15 of them happen to be Spartans) Although they set off early in the afternoon, the party does not reach the edge of Tangier's estate until just after the sun has set. Some in the group are starting to have second thoughts about the whole expedition. Luckily, none of that will matter soon. I tried to compile as many monster chase/escape scenes in my head as I could. I then attempted to in-game organically re-create them with the layout of this map. The human players all start outside of the cliff mansion compound. They will want to move inside as quickly as they possibly can. Of course, just like in a film, or in real life, you can always decide to go it alone and stay outside... The house has 4 main interior floors and a rooftop. There are 8 total entrances, some more obvious that others. These entrances can be approached from a wide variety of angles.

So im talking about this because i've looked at the forge forums and saw nobody is talking about this, Moveable objects, these are what made halo 3's custom games so awesome. if you think about what made them awesome it wasnt the abilty to make things float in the air, it wasnt the ablity to make them phase because i play halo reach custom games and forge which everyone seems to love, i dont to a sence, the custom games have very little map interaction, and all the things capitilize on the new features but they failed to take from the old. Now moveable objects would make halo 4 forge as long as they put enough, like halo reach had what 12 moveable objects total, (im talking things that are harm less untill they are launched at deadly speeds) you have two types of boxes, those stupid coventent crates and like golf balls, and thats about it. now if you think that the reach forge/custom games is fine and that im full of crap, just think back to halo 3 custom games i can name about five right off the bat; janga, garbage compactor, alligator, jaws, drag race. thats just of the top of my head i'll add things in as i go. i mean if im coming on (fat kid) to late to confront this problem (rube goldberg machines) then oh well i guess more sucky forge/custom games ( the train) but i sure hope that they can read this in time and add more of these moveable objects from halo 3; such as those huge crates, those trucks in foundry, and of course the peice to resitois THE PALLETS, I was so mad when PALLETS weren't in Forge world, because everyone loved pallets, they where doors, they where bridges, they where boats for christ sake, and you could move and break them all, so if you ingored everyother word i've just said just please 343i put pallets in halo 4 that would make my world, and im talking in the big make for forge not stupid swordbase ( not stupid its my favorite map but just hate it for forge) please anwser the poll i will be posting thanks for your time Ertle26
  25. Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if i am the only person wh'os tired to play in a forged map, in matchmaking I mean, play in the universe forge. The majority of multiplayer maps are made in Universe forge and i'm exhausted of this map. Always the same landscape, always the same gray structures, etc. Then are you like me or not ? Say your opinion please.
