Since the edge server will still be online the site should still load but it will only display an error as it won't receive a response from the web server.

Gonna be doing more server maintenance, since mod_fcgi doesnt seem to be working with the traffic the server is getting im going to be forced to try something new... Maybe mod_ruid2 cause i see it being safer and easier then mod_php.

Just like the last update this wont make us any faster but will stop us from lagging during peek hours. What was happening was other accounts on the server during busy hours of the day would hit a limit causing them to lag cause the server would only serve a set limit of requests per account which if there were any more people would lag when they waited for a slot to open to process the web request. Wasn't happening with the 343i account but its on the same server.

What was the cause?

cPanel was imposing a 450 Apache client limit for some reason which is less then 25% of what the limit should be. So Apache was only processing a max of 450 requests so pages would lag while Apache would server pages to other visitors then those clots would open and accept a new request and load the page. Now the this limit is gone and the proper one is in place there should always be open slots available to serve requests.

Server upgrade will happen today... I just made sure of it. My on-site tech starts his shift in about an hour and I'm expecting the RAM upgrade to be one of the first things he works on.

It doesn't make us any faster but it allows me to up the limit the web server can handle at any givin time. Meaning less lag during peek hours.

Sun is out, no clouds, warm wheather... what a day to be trapped inside creating 150 identicle but different server accounts. Hopefully no dns issues but who knows. Luckly nothing to do with 343i and there shouldn't be any issues with us.
