    I don't get this.. This "event" most likely happened already as the thread is from last October. So why keep posting here saying you hope that it happens?

    My father Kirk Patrick died when I was 12 13 days after my birthday on Sept 23rd 2004 he was 42. Soon after my cousin passed away in November the same year. Another cousin died on Sept 24th I think 2006. My grandfather who died February 4th I think 2009, he was 84 I think.

    I never played Gears 1 or 2 on Insane but I found the boss fights in those two games rather simple with the right strategy. RAAM was kinda hard to beat with the Kryll and everything, Skorge was a wuss. But the hardest boss battle I had in any gears game would have to be Mira and the giant bug. Tried it on insane for the ghost protocol challenge, had 3 other players, took us 5 attempts to still fail lol... I think I ended up beating it alone eventually though.. Had to use the powerups though...

    I don't think that's correct Cold, the Elites and other covenant related species seen in Halo 4 are rogues, in other words turned from the Covenant and the aftermath of the Covenant's fall. TBH, kinda sick of hearing Halo 4 being compared to other games, including Halo 1, 2, 3... Halo 4 starts off a new franchise essentially.. That being said, 343 can do what they want.

    GETTING BACK ON SUBJECT My opinion on the enemies are that the taller ones aren't actually Promethean's but AIs. My reasoning for this is because if you look at the crawlers and their orange glowing faces, and one point in the video the taller enemies mask opens, it has the same orange glowing face. Add to the fact that Prometheans I think in the Forerunner books are described as large and muscular, the taller enemies we've seen look thin.

    Why bring back a half a year old topic? Forerunners and Humans are not the same species.. And the Forerunners did not leave the Humans to inherit the Mantle... The Forerunners took the Mantle after wiping out the Precursors thinking that they had left it for them, when in fact, the Precursors had intended the Humans to inherit the Mantle.

    I have one problem with that list... The Locust aren't aliens, they are actually natives of the planet that Gears of War takes place on.

    Wow guys, instead of butchering his attempt to help people why not point out stuff that makes sense hm? I agree with almost everything Eliy said here, except for the vehicles and experienced players part, because in my opinion (depending on the vehicle such as driving a warthog/mongoose) if you need to use a vehicle to get kills then you aren't a very experienced player. But anyways, good stuff Eliy

    Same here, but like I said on the other thread, if enough people (or even if barely anyone) want to do a playdate, we could have a community map on xbox or a community server on PC if we set up some kinda system to have it paid for by more then 1 person... Btw, for the "Would you rather play it on PC or Xbox" question, why not add a "Doesn't matter which one" answer?

    I think the crawler looks kind of like a lambent wretch from Gears of War. Most likely it will be speedy and might jump off of walls or climb the walls at the very least. Probably a stealthy preadator. The watcher on the other hand... looks like a monitor fused with a fairy (like the little floaty ones not the sexuality reference). They might be like the engineers or, like you said, like the sentinels.

    No actually Dan, I'm pretty sure the Unggoy (grunts) were the first to come in contact with humans. The deacon aboard the kig-yar ship in the beginning when they attack the freighter, if I'm correct, had first contact with the ships captain. If it wasn't Unggoy then it was the Kig-Yar whp shot him. Edit: Read the part of the book for confirmation, it was indeed the Deacon (the grunt) of the Kig-Yar ship that came into contact with the human first, and the Huragok (engineer) killed the human.
