  1. Hi everyone, Spartan here with Site Poll 105...yes, I'm really back for it. Please, contain your excitement. Hold your applause. Keep your underwear on. Unfortunately both Yoshi and Maestro failed to uphold my legacy with the Site Polls that I greatly invested in, thanks guys (love ya really ). Honestly wanna thank them both for producing five more polls after I stepped down, it was much appreciated. I can't say for sure whether I'll be doing these weekly like I used to, but you can expect one every now and then. This community had and will always have a special place in my heart, and it's all of you, the people, that make it. Speaking of this awesome community, let's dive into Poll 105. Will Halo: Infinite reignite the 343ICF? I joined in 2013, just over over 6 years ago now. When I joined, the place was starting to buzz with life. It was warming up again after a previous period of inactivity. I can't speak too much for the 2011 to early-2013 state of the site, but from what I made out, 2013/2014 was the peak of this community's activity. Members were like family with each other, I'd come back home everyday to join my new-found friends here. We all had something in common, various things in common in many cases. Remember the days of forum games? Now we can't even get a flowing convo in the shoutbox. I'm guilty of inactivity as well, the already-present growing lack of activity here didn't give me anymore reason to return and stay for long. I always end up coming back though, because there's truly no place like home. Now Infinite is shaping up to be impressive, and we're getting a sick port of Reach to Xbox One and PC soon (hopefully). The Halo community is still very active, and will only get more hyped as time progresses. But what about our community? Waypoint's a nice house, but it's not home. Do any of you think the upcoming Halo content, namely Infinite, will bring the community back to life? Will it potentially bring new members that'll be here to stay, or have older members return for good? A familiar face is always nice, and a fresh one with passion is just as good. Or do you think the community has had it's time, and will begin fossilising soon enough? There's always potential for life to be breathed into this old dog. If Infinite won't do it, Reach and the MCC port to PC may. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. As always, Spartan out.

  3. Hello everybody! It's Maestro here with Site Poll 103! To recap the previous poll from what feels like ages ago, everyone agreed that Infinite will be released on Xbox and mostly agreed that it would be on PC as well. Speaking of Halo and PCs, 343 Industries made a HUGE announcement earlier today: the Master Chief Collection will be released on PC and Steam, and Reach will be added to it on all platforms! So my question for you is: How do you feel about this news? Are you excited for it or are you freakin' HYPED for it? I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts and opinions on it! You can also answer on our Twitter page. Maestro out! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  8. http://imgur.com/a/Mpp9v Q: What is this? A: Installation 01 is a fan game created by Halo fans from all over the world. The aim of this project is to be both an artistic tribute to Halo and a fun way to experience Halo on PC, Mac and Linux free and legally. Our primary goal is to recreate the multiplayer experience of the Halo trilogy, bringing in features from all Halo games to make the ultimate multiplayer sandbox! Q: When is this being released? A: Short answer: 8-12 months, no promises. Long answer: We’d like to include several well-made maps and a solid arsenal of weapons and gamemodes in our first open beta build. Depending on how many more artists and programmers join the team, we are looking at an 8-12 month wait until our first publicly available build. However, there will be more trailers and information released as we progress, and hopefully the teaser trailer we just released will serve as a shining beacon to talented folks in the fan community. The more the merrier, keep reading for information on how to help. Q: Is this legal? A: We are abiding by Microsoft’s Fair Use Policy and their Game Content Usage Rules. http://www.xbox.com/en-us/developers/rules Everything in the game is fan created and can be legally downloaded and distributed in accordance with the Game COntent Usage Rules. We are not out to make any money, even to cover costs. The work is all a labor of love, our team gets nothing in return except the satisfaction of making the ultimate Halo tribute, and some portfolio building. Q: How can I help? A: We are in need of more team members. We are currently recruiting for these positions: -3D artists (especially animators) -2D artists -Programmers Our current team size is about 20 people giving their free time on-and-off depending on school and work schedules (about half of us are either computer science or art students, with hobbyists and professionals mixed in). We would like to expand, so please comment if you are interested in helping, we will get back to you ASAP! Share your thoughts and feedback please! I'll also answer whatever questions I can This post has been promoted to an article
  9. Hello my Gamertag is Hierarch Gamer, I am the founder of the community/clan HGC (Hierarch Gaming Community). We've just begun and are not game specific but we'd like to create an environment where people can play and feel safe to not be discriminated against or made fun of because of skill level. Our PC team has a current head start on the field but would like to start and establish ourselves more on Xbox One. Note, we are recruiting on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC/Steam. We understand this is a Halo 5 forum and would like to invite YOU to help us create a Halo 5 team/group of your own within our clan/community, so please add me on Xbox and message me if you're interested!
  10. Hello Everyone I recently just joined the forums to ask a question about Halo 2 for PC. I recently bought the game and was unable to join the online servers. So my question is.. Are they even still online and functioning? ~CrayCray
  11. Halo's sales are down. People who grew up with 1, 2, and 3, and maybe even a little Reach(?), ask yourselves, "How would you feel if Halo started to play more like a story-based—fast-paced, Mass Effect with an MMO aspect to amp up our Halo Culture?" Watch the Video "Call me back, and Let me know if we can make it happen! Ghost Mop

  13. GameRadar sat down with 343's franchise director Frank O'Connor to discuss topics relating to Halo 5: Guardians for a live stream interview. During the interview a question was raised regarding the possibility of Halo 5 being brought over to PC which O'Connor states that "There is plenty of chance Halo 5 could appear on the PC". He went on to say "Nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason." Many PC gaming enthusiast Halo fans have asked for PC releases since the announcement of Halo 3 as Halo 2 was the last major title to release on PC Since then the only Halo titles that have released world wide on PC have been Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike. But there is Halo Online, however Halo Online seems it will only available in Russia, but it's unknown if it will stay in Russia. In the interview Frank O'Connor stated "We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today." The next title confirmed for PC is Halo Wars 2, which was announced in August and is set for a 2016 release. Any PC gamers out there feeling optimistic for a PC release of Halo 5? Leave a comment and let us know your thoughts on this news. Source: IGN This post has been promoted to an article

  15. With the ongoing PC issues plaguing Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady has provided an update on one upcoming patch which will fix a few major bugs. Batman: Arkham Knight, the final chapter in the franchise created by Rocksteady, recently released on current generation consoles and PC, with the PC version hosting a plethora of massive issues forcing the game to be pulled from Steam entirely. Since then, Rocksteady reports through IGN.com that they have been working hard to patch the game and are making great progress. They revealed an interim patch will be releasing within the next two weeks if all goes according to plan, and that it is currently being tested. A representative stated, "We are happy to confirm that we are now putting the first interim patch into testing. If all goes well, we expect to issue the patch in the next few weeks. We’ll be sure to report back in the next two weeks on how the testing is coming along." The update will include performance fixes, enhanced game settings, etc. The full list of fixes can be read in the article linked above, but it is unlikely this will be the final patch considering Rocksteady's list of other lower priority issues. Batman: Arkham Knight is available for purchase now on Xbox One and PS4, and can still be bought physically for PC. All images and information provided by Rocksteady and IGN. 17. Is Razer good in terms of feel and reaction? I don't know if anybody has Razer equipment, but I'm thinking of buying stuff from Razer, but I want to make sure it's good. Also, does the keyboard/mouse work with any monitor, or does it have to be specific?
  18. 343 Industries has announced a collaboration with an outside company for a multiplayer online Halo game set to release this Spring! Were you hoping to see an insanely detailed Halo game on PC realizing the platform's full potential? Well unless you live in Russia, too bad. HaloWaypoint.com has posted a blog explaining a new game coming to PC, Halo: Online. It's being made by Saber Interactive and Innova, and will be online-only. It will be free-to-play and will only be available on PC in Russia, not yet confirmed to be distributed anywhere out there. 343i has confirmed this is not a sign (yet) of Halo moving to PC, but it will be testing the waters for the future of the franchise outside of Xbox. Not many details have been fully revealed, but the game is rumored to be running on the Halo 3/4 engine, opinions range. From the screenshot above however, it looks breathtaking. It will take place straight after Halo 3, and there will be a huge range of armour and weapons with varying stats, yes you heard me, armour stats. View attachment: halo online.png I can't wait for this to release... In the US and Europe, since it's only coming to Russia as of yet. The idea is great, and I can really see it taking off... In the US and Europe. DID I MENTION I WANT IT IN THE US AND EUROPE? Let me know down below what you think of this new game announcement! See ya next time.
  19. 2k Games has launched a trailer for the DLC expansion 'Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty' worldwide, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Read below for more details Source: Computerandvideogames.com The publisher says: "In Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty, up to four players cooperatively enter the hostile sand dunes and wastelands of Pirate Bay in search of ancient treasures. "The add-on content campaign features new characters, including the eccentric and eager Shade; locations such as the town of Oasis; enemies including the Sand Pirates and Anchormen; and special weapons and loot that make it a must-play experience." Gearbox previously announced plans to release four Borderlands 2 DLC campaign add-ons, which will retail individually for $9.99. A Borderlands 2 Season Pass enabling players to pre-purchase all of the DLC at a discount is available now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=G31QY3SL0_I
  20. A brand new entry into the Deus Ex series, Mankind Divided, has been revealed over on NeoGaf! I must admit, Square Enix was seeming a bit dry as of late, but this news looks to have flipped that on it's head. Someone on NeoGaf.com revealed screenshots and a gameplay description of a new Deus Ex game called Mankind Divided. The game will center around Adam Jensen, the protagonist of the previous game Human Revolution. The plot details are light, but it is known that since Human Revolution, augmented and ordinary people have been separated into social castes, and this leads to conflict. As in the past, putting in more effort will reward more payout as your actions affect the course of the game, so going stealth is likely the best option. The AI has been heavily improved to make open combat a bit trickier as the new system's tactics will give players a run for their money. A host of old abilities have been improved, including some new blade/crossbow tricks, and a shield that Adam can utilize. There will be no transfer from your previous game, so as far as story goes, most decisions likely won't matter. The game will release on an unknown date as of yet for Xbox One, PS4, and the PC, no last generation launch due to the game's prowess. View attachment: xaFXddA.jpg I'm a huge Deus Ex fan, so I'm really excited to see where Mankind Divided goes! What do you guys think of this info, are you a fan too? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading.
  21. If you're eager to get your hands on GTA V for the PC, I have some good news for you for next week. GTA V is finally coming for PC, after tons of delays and bumps in the road, PC gamers will at last have their copy to mod and do as they please. GameSpot.com is reporting that the game is on it's final legs and that next week, Rockstar will allow PC gamers to pre-load their copy of GTA V on the PC. They will be able to do this through either Rockstar Warehouse, their own store, or through Steam. The game will require a hefty monitor system and about 65 GB of free install space, so pre-loading isn't a bad idea. The PC version is mostly the same in terms of features, with the exception of mod capability and the new Video Editor mode, but technically, the game will be able to run at 4K, as well as at 60FPS on triple-screen monitors and in shiny 3D. The PC version will officially launch April 14th, unless Rockstar pulls a late April Fools on us and decides to push it back another year. View attachment: gta-5-online.jpg I'm very excited personally to get my hands on GTA V for the PC when the price drops, if you couldn't tell, I love this game, I own the Collector's Edition on my Xbox 360 and re-bought the game for the Xbox One. What are your thoughts on GTA V, will you be picking it up on your PC? Let me know down below! Thanks a ton for reading!

I'm very excited personally to get my hands on GTA V for the PC when the price drops, if you couldn't tell, I love this game, I own the Collector's Edition on my Xbox 360 and re-bought the game for the Xbox One. What are your thoughts on GTA V, will you be picking it up on your PC? Let me know down below! Thanks a ton for reading! This post has been promoted to an article
