  1. Hello Everybody! I was new to this forum in April, lol. Finally found my way around to the PM box and of course it had a message stating I should probably try posting an introduction as it may help for people getting to know me. So figured I would post about me, or at least a little bit about me, and why I decided to join. Me -- I love and currently dream all things Halo related (books, games, online stories, fan fiction, personal fiction, canon, etc) probably wouldn't find someone as intensely interested in the Halo universe as me (though I know those people exist lol) -- From Canada, Newmarket more specifically, and not a fan. Its cold and hot, never an in between, and for some reason I find myself wishing it would rain more (though that may be my British background doing its job) -- New to forums and online discussions - never been on or taken part in anything online and figured I would try it, see how it goes (no better way to start out than talking about the things you love I suppose) Why I joined -- I love Halo - almost every aspect and detail intrigues me. And so, to broaden my already diverse intellect on Halo, I joined to share my ideas, thoughts, opinions on the Halo universe, and to hear, share, and read other peoples ideas, thoughts, and opinions. Halo will always be a part of my life that I would never want to change, and so, I would rather add to my already intense obsession, simply because it is one of the few things in my life that I enjoy. Feel free to reply or message me. I don`t bite, am open to discussion for most things, and am a generally nice guy. *****I want to post this emoticon even though I don`t know its purpose but the sight of a smiley spanking another smiley make me smile.

We played it on 6 players with two Xbox`s linked and had a lot of fun test it together. It’s a openworld map with lots of Gameplay possibilities. Sniper from the roof of the buildings or balconies, jump between buildings (and try to reach the 2 Banshee platforms) or simply ride vehicles on the ground. There are also some nice Aesthetic places and hidden Weapon drop locations. Find all entrances to reach all the Buildings roof (except 1 only accessible with the Banshee or Jetpack). Reach 150 Kill points and acquire Personal load outs that includes infinite use of your equipment such as: A Promethean / Hardlight Shield / Hologram or a Autosentry or a Jetpack witch allows you to flight over the entire Map and be f.e. with the Sniper Rifle or Rocket Launcher a annoyance for your enemy. A real Challenge for both sides. (Download also the right Gametype from my Fileshare) Check it out! Hope you have a good time play it, like we hade and still have. ;-D
  3. Hello everyone I would like to make a topic speaking a little bit into the future, the future being Halo 5. I have a few unlikely ideas for H5, but that's what I want this to be about. Unlikely, cool-if-it-happened, kind of things. Things that are probably not going to make it into the game, but you would talk about it all week if they did. I have a few ideas... Pulse field (new AA): Startup time and recovery time like autosentry/regen, range slightly less than regen field. Sends out a strong pulse of kinetic force that pushes upwards and away on everything around it. Vehicles, teammates, active grenades, you name it. Could provide a BLAMing awsome solution and punishment for splatter-happy ghosts, make for some great grenade theater clips, and force enemies to stay away from cliffs. Drop Pod: ONE ITEM in forge. get in, nullifies fall damage, breaks off when you hit the ground. Vehicle pods could also drop vehicles, nullifying fall dmg, and a timer could be set on when the pod drops after being activated. Small splash dmg to nearby enemies, death if dropped on someone's head. Damage Despawning: Set a dmg value on any forge item. When it takes that amount of dmg, it despawns with the forerunner 'disintegration' effect. Collapsing buildings made easy! Halo spleef made way more awesome! Vehicle Constructors-: Forge-only single-use items, costing as much as their respective vehicles. One type for every vehicle in the game, another for random. Replaces grenade. carrying cap of 1. Use to digitally construct a vehicle on yourself, Tron Lightbike style. Useful in obstacle corses as well as creative maps. Imagine Jumping off a cliff and digitally constructing a banshee around you, or doing something similar with a mantis.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GBLtnxxtzQ Share your ideas/thoughts!

With new aesthetics. It’s a mix of the Games; GoldenEye, Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero. Features of course the Toilet room with the airshaft. Also the wardrobe with a little recreation area, the pin board and at last the Silo section. Additional Info: I chused Impact because its the only map who has Silos. I found also that the Station corridor fits perfectly for the purpose in that region between the two Silo rooms even if the entrance to them are not the same like in the original map. (diagonal opposite) I made the roof of the map with glass pieces to keep it more brighter, since impact is a very dark map in close rooms. I run out of money and couldn’t close the roof everywhere completely , but it doesn’t matter. I put several instant kill and one soft kill Zones over the two inverted Silos only for the Food Mode since the Flood Players cant reach that location without Jetpacks. I build this map first for Aesthetic purposes. Its not been designed to be a balanced CTF or Dominion Map since the original shape of the Level doesn’t allow it, but i had a lot of fun to build it anyway. Enjoy ^.^
  7. With Sector 7 being a new clan all new members will have a special recognition. This clan started awhile ago, but errors and complications caused it to fail. This clan is for TRUE HALO FANS ONLY! If you play Halo just for the killing, then you my friend are better suited for Call of Duty. My clan site has the ability to accept background stories for your Spartans. There are ranks in the clan that you can move up through by attending meetings and participating in games nights, or just being plain friendly. Here is the current clan site. Keep in mind that the clan is new and that you have the power to make suggestions that you think will make the clan better. http://sector7clan.guildportal.com/ Also, my gamertag is SilentWolf298 message me if you are interested. Btw, we are not just accepting everyone, you will be tested in a live fire simulation. When I say true halo fans, I mean people who accept common halo knowledge as things like MC's name is John, Sam was one of the first Spartans killed by the covenant, Spartans were captured at around age 6, and Spartan IV's are recruited ODSTs and marines. Although you might not know that the flood was a disease started when Precursors dissolved themselves to preserve them until after the precursor-forerunner war was over.
  8. Today the second Volume of Halo 4's soundtrack is released! it includes all music than didn't fit in the first and all of the tracks sound pretty awesome! 10. Hey everyone, glad to be here. I made this account mostly because I want to try and promote my forge map. Still new to forums but I'm gonna go to the appropriate topics to post the details of my map. Search for me! Hope you enjoy it if you download it! And I hope to play some halo with all y'alls
  11. Before I begin, I just want to say I get it. Being in the game industry can be extremely tedious. Also, people get the idea that there is a shortage of ideas and that ideas are easy to just throw in a game. Also the final product has to be marketable and turn out profit for all your hard work which a lot of people who get on here to tell you how to do your job disregard. I'm here to say an idea or two hoping you'll look at it and see if you haven't thought of it yet, find it practical or if you'd want to do something like this. Idea 1: make a game without campaign that just has multiplayer and forge and just call the game Forge. Why? So you could devote more disk space to endless forging fun and play it with friends on multiplayer, think Minecraft. You could even work out a way to put AI into forge with all of that disk space, which is what a lot of people want. Why it's a bad idea, Halo is marketable largely because of the campaign, reason why I bought Halo 4 so people wanting Halo not Forge probably wouldn't buy it. But the reason why I bought Halo Reach was largely because of Forgeworld. Idea 2: let us play as anyone or any creature in the Halo universe, at least for funsies. Gears of war 3 has beast mode, although making a game mode for only playing as creatures isn't as cool as it being what you'd play as when your not in map edit mode.
  12. Now that i have all of your attention. If you hold down the melee/assassination button an extra bit longer, it should lengthen out the assassination. This makes it so much more humiliating, however as you're being cocky, it still lengthens the time you can be stopped. The extra half second whilst you pause before the kill will feel incredibly satisfying. (This is do-able for the next update we need to get 343 to see this and implement it in now!) The energy sword should be in the armour abilities section, along with the rest such as hardlight-shield. So activating it would pull out your own personalised energy sword. "intended to express its owners personal skill, clerical honour and combat viability." Bungie's words not mine. Naturally it would have to charge just like the rest of the abilities. Yet it should be only unlocked at a higher level and once unlocked you would then play for customisation. It would work well in a stance and new assassinations would look sick with it, especially if combined with what i mentioned above. (Halo 5?) Explosive game-play mechanics where you can be knocked over and stunned by explosions, yet not killed. Explosions would be bigger, yet the weapons and grenades harder to use skilfully and harder to acquire. *cough cough* realistic *cough* real combat. Thoughts? Feedback? I want 343 industries to see this!
  13. Today Bungie was in the spot light at the game developers conference, they discussed some of their techniques and inspirations when building destiny but the main part of it all was the new concept. As a large amount of concept art was shown I will try and provide the most interesting pieces I captured from the video First up we have an abandoned colony on Europa which is one of Jupiter's moons Here we have alien ruins on Venus it's unknown which alien race once inhabited this place These are some early concepts of of space ships that did not make the cut Here is a space station and a space ship which bungie said they focused more on these so it's possible these made the cut. Here is hanger where human ships are docked one of the bungie guys said this is a place where heroes show of their armor and personal space ships. This seems to suggest the player can customize their own personal ships Here is a place that bungies describes as a frozen city occupied by machines where towers and skyscrapers become dungeons. Here is a place currently known as the buried city as you can see ruins buried in mountains of sand on Mars. This is one of the enemy races, space zombies but officially named "Hive". The flooded streets of Old Chicago. And here are some different types of weapons, they didn't mention that these were early concepts or finalized concepts but no doubt we will be seeing some of these in the game. View full article

  16. Halo 4 Armour Review: Hey Guys! Raxs_Slayer back here again on teh 343 forums. Today i'm goign to rant about halo 4's armour. These are my opinions, maybe yours a different, please share them respecively thanks! The Armour: Recruit: - A Really nice looking armour! It has a nice classic halo feel, sort of reminds me of ODST. - I rate this 8/10 CIO: - Very unusual! But i do appreaciate the idea of spartan secret forces. Whereas i might not appreacite the looks as much, it's a great idea! - I rate this 6/10 Gungir: - Very nice! An Excelent twist on the classic. I must say i do like Halo reach's gungnir much more but this one does hit the spot, heavy armour, that's what it's about. - 7/10 Fotus: - Well, you may not look like a spartan but you are BE-AY-UU-DIFUL! Very nice aethetics, agressive and intimidating. - 10/10 Hazop: - This for me is almost a perfect helmet. 343 really did manage to make this look like a heavy spartan. Looks very UNSC, and looks a much better Hazard Operative helmet than reach's! - 9/10 Infiltrator: - Well, well. This is very wierd for halo. But that doesn't mean i don't appreacite it. This guy looks like he can take some damage, if they body armour was bigger this guy would look perfect! But that is however quite a big flaw in this armour, too skinny. - I rate this 6/10 Mk.VI: - Well! Looks who's back! Nice helmet, god ole' classics, you can't beat em! - 8/10 Oceanic: - Great idea, but for me, this helmet is massively lacking detail! And sadly looks a bit outdated. Looks more 1900s that 2200s. - 3/10 Orbital: - 343! What's that skull dooing there! No, i get what you were tryign to do, but it doesn't work for me. Beutiful design, i loved the origional models without the skull. But now looks like he should have been more careful painting his house! - 5/10 Recon: - Well done 343! This is defintly helment that looks good as a classic! I did like the heavily armoured model you were origionaly going to introduce more but this works too! Nice one! - 6/10 Strider: - I just though wow! when i saw this one. Really awesome. Looks likes a deathsport spartan. Propper griffball armour. Super nice! Definitly a fave! - 9/10 Scout: - Cool! I like how you have gone with the risk of using the halo 3 model. Definitly matches halo 4's other helmets more. Good job! - 7/10 Solider: - Agressive, Intimidating, This is what you need in a helmet. Really good Job! If onyl the mouth piece was better :S - 5/10 Vanator: - Wow! Where did this come from? Really unusual, but you can't say it's not awesome. Big risk! But nice armour! - 7/10 Warrior: - Cool helmet! Looks like a blast pyro mask! Nice design, heavily armoured. but not for me. - 4/10 Deadeye: - This is a funny fellow. But he does look awesome. I love the narrow squinting design. Truly looks like a sniper! - 8/10 Locus: - Simply looks brutal! Amazing helmet! Possibly the best helmet i have seen in halo! - 10/10 E.O.D: - Beasty! He looks just like the reach model with a heavily armoured look! The best it's ever been! Nice one 343! - 9/10 Aviator: - Looks exactly like it short, shot and sweet, this helmet is epic! - 6/10 Warmaster: - Does look a lot like a promethean. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to carve a skull into their visor! but hell it looks awesome! - 6/10 E.V.A: - Classic, yet modern. I like the more curved look! - 6/10 Enforcer: - Some swanky new armour! Looks cool. Heavy, agressive. I just think the visor looks a little too sunk in. - 5/10 Vanguard: - Incredible, just incredible. One of the best looking helmets in halo history! New, futuristic, unique. - 10/10 Air assault: - Very nice. I'm not sure if it's better than reach's but it's different. I wouldn't wear it though, doesn't suit me. - 2/10 Scanner: - Really interesting design! I would love that helmet without the scanner though. I can see somethign awesome underneath! - 5/10 Commando: - Massive, agressive, heavy, just plain awesome. Looks exactly how a field commander should! Flawless design! - 10/10 Ranger: - Oh my. Looks very wierd. Definitly a love hate helmet. But i suppose it's one that is more about the principle of unlocking rather than show. It does remind me of starwars for some reason though. but i do think it is rather awesome. - 7/10 Protector: - Definitly one of the best! Heavy, no visor? Who cares! When you look this good who needs a visor? - 10/10 Raider: - This does look rather cool. Very interesting. I don't think i'd wear it but it is a nice idea. - 4/10 Defender: - This really does match the name. The face seems flat and shielded just like you'd imagine. A very clever design. - 6/10 Engineer: - A very, very nice helmet. I love the unusual design and aesthetics. Especially the small visor. Amazing design, very out of the ordinary. - 8/10 Operator: - A fantastic new looking armour, very circular and mechanical design. Looks pretty damn good. - 8/10 Pioneer: - Looks very alien indeed. However i love the two visors and how the helmet looks as a whole. Very intriguing, love the design, but not something i'd wear. - 4/10 Pathfinder: - Possibly one of the most ingeniously designed helmets out there! Amazing aesthetics, angular and agressive. - 9/10 Wetwork: - Very nice design! I remember a halo 3 fan submitted helmet that looks just like it. Very assassin style, streaked, looks very agile. but not for me. - 4/10 Stalker: - I'm going to be honest. That thing looks like a damn lizard! But hey? That's awesome. It looks really interesting and very far fetched. But i love it. - 8/10 Rogue: - Very, very cool. Looks like a hard and heavy style Orbital helmet. Looks completely bad*ss to me. - 8/10 Tracker: - Love this one! Has those awesome 3 lights on top of the visor. Looks very space age and futuristic with that classic halo feel. Genius design! - 9/10 Thanks for reading everyone. I hope you enjoyed my review. Let me know what you think in the comments! Over and out.

  18. Here we have 3 new pieces of Destiny concept are have just been discovered from the Game Informer magazine. Thanks to Drizzy_dan for showing me these images. This image is on one of Jupiter's, as you can see there are building ruins that's confined in an icy environment most likey one of the locations humanity once colonized and one of the locations we may visit and reclaim. This image appears to be in space as two space crafts fly through huge structures, it looks as if the structure is falling apart or is heavily damaged maybe a battle is taking place there. And the third picture, it looks very industrial factory facility. As you can see what appears to be some kind of tower buildings as there are people or aliens that are about to enter one and they supported by huge chains. To me the image above reminds me a little of the tower structures from bungies MAC game Marathon 2: Durandal (image below) with having somewhat similar shapes and the patterns of lights on them.

  20. Hello, I have finally got a chance to play the new Spartan Ops mission and they are amazing. With that said I have clocked an insane amount of hours in forge and I feel the current forge maps are lacking a ton of aspect which the community has thoroughly covered so I'm not going to repeat them. But I did notice more than a few of the Spartan Ops maps would make amazing sandboxes for forge. Visually they trump the current forge maps both in background and foreground content. I figure now that 343's Majestic Map Pack is out and making them money maybe they would consider a free update for the forge community. I can live with the same tired forge objects even though I have seen a ton of potential new forge objects aka Forerunner pieces. But I feel there has been enough feedback about the current forge maps that 2-3 new forge maps would be feasible. The best part is the maps are already built and being used as sandboxes by 343 in Spartan Ops. Now I don't know if the coding processes for forge are easily transferred to new maps not built around the forge coding processes, but I think this Idea should be considered. I feel a move like this would revitalize the hurt forge community that was crippled by the Waypoint sharing issues and the semi disappointing maps. I would love to hear from the community on this subject and any suggestions to which maps from Spartan Ops we would like to see. My 3 choices would be: The Cauldron Control Apex
  21. I haven't had access to my Xbox in weeks. Despite this setback, I have still tried to stay connected to the Forging community. Unfortunately, it looks as though it will be many moons until I will be able to Forge again.. On the bright side, I have an idea for a mini-game that will be very, very fun. It's Flood-based and should be easy to Forge. Anyone who reads this can try building this map. 1. First create a cubical box without a lid out of simple flat objects. It should be big enough to hold four edge-to-edge gravity volumes at the least. 2. Fill the box with Invisible Gravity Volumes side by side facing up. There should be two layers of volumes, the purpose of which you will soon find out! 3. Fill the box with a trait zone and set it to give players Good Camouflage and Speed Boost. The former is to dampen surrounding noise, and the latter is to make the players' screens blue. 4. Place down several Rocks with the tips slightly above the top of the gravity volumes. These are for the humans to jump around on. 5. Place down small crates set on normal physics. They should bob up and down slightly. 6. Place blue Dominion shields horizontally so that they touch the top of the gravity volumes. 7. Place the Flood spawn points on the bottom of the box, and place the human spawn points on the rocks/crates. The Flood will have a dynamic experience on this map. Submerged beneath the shields, they will hear things differently, and their screens will be blue. The humans will struggle to survive on the surface as the shark-like Flood shoot out of the water--like sharks. So you see the theme of the map now? There might be some technical flaws in my directions; you might want to switch the blue dominion shields with normal shield doors, but that would be very expensive and punish the humans for accidentally walking off spawn. Good luck creating the map!
  22. All right, "Elite" said my poll was one-sided, so I'll remove my influential opinions (lol) and make some unbiased, boring points. There are many options for Halo 5's Magnum. Each iteration throughout the saga has had its perks and flaws. In CE, the "Pistol" was great--a lightning-fast three-shot kill with 2x zoom, deadly accuracy, and a high skill-curve. Its two major flaws in my opinion were that it had a large clip (12 bullets, I believe), which forgave errant shooting, and it dominated all other non-power weapons, leading to sometimes monotonous--yet consistent--matches. In Halo 2, it was christened "Magnum" and received some new features. It was a five-shot kill and the first iteration to have an eight-bullet clip. These nerfs were added to balance out dual wielding, which brought some epic combos to the game (Pea-shooter/Magnum, SMG/Plasma Rifle). While it was rewarding to use, its kill time still made it a clear secondary to the Battle Rifle. In Halo 3 the Magnum did not change much. The Battle Rifle and Assault Rifle clearly outshone it in many respects; it was used mainly for cleaning up headshots when the primary weapon of choice ran out of ammo. It also didn't have a scope, as I recall. In Halo 3: ODST, the Magnum underwent a dramatic change. It became silenced and was pretty much useless against the Brutes; however, its scoped ability remained highly effect against Jackals and Grunts (yayyyy!!!). In Reach, the Magnum was either a 5sk or 6sk, but it shot much faster. To compensate for this, bloom was added to prevent spamming. It remained an effective weapon; in te beginning of the game, the bloom reset faster than that of the DMR. In Halo 4, the bloom remains and the Magnum is a six-shot kill. It is actually surprisingly effective--if you can manage the bloom. Firing faster makes for random outcomes, so pacing is key. Some say that a six-shot kill is not rewarding for the skill it takes to deal with bloom, or because the primary weapons are now buffed (#Halo4Turbo). Its damage was increased to promote teamshooting, but it remains a 6sk. 343i now however have the ability to tweak it with ease, so opinions on its transformation are welcome. Which Magnum was the best? the worst? Do you think there should be different variants for multiplayer and campaign (stealth levels) or should it be consistent throughout both faculties? Leave your thoughts below; I'll reset the poll questions so they are less biased and so I can recollect the information after writing this lengthy post.
  23. I like how 343 has done so far with it's map packs, but if there's one thing; just one thing i have to say i miss about Halo 3, it's the map Sandbox, and it's not just because sandbox was arguably one of the most versatile forge maps in Halo history, it's that i do really miss the atmosphere of that map. There was something awe-inducing about the red lights contrasting with the blue lights, and about night time in the desert, especially if you could block the guardians and have a vehicle war in the dark dunes. I truly can not think of any other map i'd like to see revived more than sandbox. I dunno if you can hear me 343 but i felt compelled to ask, can you give us another sandbox? I'd hate to see it stay a once in a generation experience. Any fellow players feel the same way?
  24. Now that I've played Anniversary and seen the unique skulls it had and comparing it to other games I find that we had a continuous line of the same skulls for a while. Such as the Malfunction skull from Anniversary, that one was very challenging yet fun to use. But I also want to see some new skulls be put into play. Tell me your opinion on this matter and tell me if you have any skull ideas of your own.
