  1. Yea i tried to make sense of it as well lol wasnt gonna happen
  2. Of course they would but thats because the DMR also has many problems and needs tweaked a little or just trashed all together. Pickups from halo 3 barely mattered in the grand scheme of things. AAs seem to be all this game is focused on. Its not halo anymore just a battle of AAs. It shouldnt become the game, only accentuate the gameplay like equipment did with h3.
  3. I think it just takes away from the game but a fair compromise would be the option to turn it on/off
  4. In its own universe its "realistic" the term is subjective when used in this context. I still dont believe we should be pushing all this "realism". Especially in the manner that this poster was using it. You are trying to argue whether or not halo is logical by its laws of physics not whether its realistic. We judge realism by our own perspective. Also dont call me "bro" unless you prefer coming off as condescending.
  5. I personally liked dual wielding as it was never OP and didnt really change the flow of the game all that much. It could be effective if used right but it wasnt going to ruin games for people so id like to see it back but with not much changed.
  6. I hardly think halo should be going for "realism". Playing video games for realism seems a little weird, especially in a sci-fi FPS
  7. I doubt they will be the main threat. It wouldnt be much of stretch to have a few small factions still dedicated to the covenant agenda though.
  8. I guess it depends on if bloom comes back with it. Either way i think it should be nerfed, its just a matter of how much to nerf it.
  9. Thats very interesting. It may not be exactly that but the end result could be very similar.
  10. I have no problem with CR but its imperative to have some sort of true skill system. Halo 2s ranking system would make a far better choice but i had no problem with halo 3s either.
  11. They just slow down gameplay. No room for showboating anymore.
  12. Not bad ideas but i dont see a desperate need for any sort of leaderboard. Everyone knows it will be hacked in a weeks time anyways. Also like many other people said, There is a lot more than 3 things needed to make this game successful. If anything only one of these is all that important(ranking system).
  13. If its anything like what came with Reach's legendary edition then ill just be buying the standard edition. It would have to really be something great to entice me enough to spend more money on it than necessary
  14. Yep. I see no reason why it shouldnt be on dedicated servers. Its working great for GoW3 and and Halo has always been a bigger title.
  15. I could take it or leave it really. Bots wont really ever be a big part of the way i spend my time on halo. As long as they can bring it in and keep it out of matchmaking then thats fine
  16. Id definitely imagine that at this point its "finished". Thats a long way away from being playable by commercial audiences though
  17. Even if the engine is a modified version of Reach, it doesnt mean it will play anything like it. Im not sure what to expect but i think ill be pleasantly surprised come release day.
  18. I doubt anything akin to the jetback will be back in multiplayer but i could see it being in the campaign.

    MP Beta?

I havent heard anything about a multiplayer beta yet so i was wondering what the general consensus seems to be regarding one?
  20. MLG should most definitely be a playlist. MLG has given the halo series a lot over the years. It doesnt matter if you in particular are into competitve gaming, the fact is that a lot of halo fans are fans because MLG. A portion of Halo's popularity is absolutely thanks to MLG and other competitive gaming leagues. Neither casual players nor competitive players should be excluded when it comes to matchmaking so the least they deserve is a playlist.
  21. Marking targets could be a good idea if implemented right. I dont think every gun needs to zoom in but you should be able to mark targets at a certain range. The mark shouldnt last too long though, much like it is in GOW3.
  22. Absolutely not. Also i dont understand this acceptance of sprint. Its IMO the worst problem with reach and why it feels so foreign compared to other halo games. Individual battles have pretty much vanished with the addition of sprint. Someone gets shot once and off they go sprinting for the nearest corner. If you put yourself in a bad position then i believe that you should have to deal with the consequences, not be saved by an effortless tap of the finger because you made a bad choice.
  23. Halo 2s ranking system would be perfect. There is nothing wrong with having a true skill rank and playing in a tier you belong in. If my skill is above average then i should be playing people who are also above average. Reach really got this wrong and im hoping its rectified in H4
