Sniper0092 148 Report post Posted January 24, 2013 I like how they were tougher, creepier looking, and I love damage sponges.
GryffinGuy007 575 Report post Posted January 24, 2013 Eh, never liked the Brutes. Too ugly, and not alien enough. Just felt like playing Planet of the Apes: The Game. However, I'd love to see them make an appearance in Halo 4.

тυcкєя 228 Report post Posted March 17, 2013 I have never been a big fan of Brutes, but I love to kill them. Because, they rage a lot and It Is just so amusing :3. However, I think It would be legit If they came back In Halo 5. But I would like to see them more Alien like or high techy Ish.
TheReach2134 13 Report post Posted March 18, 2013 I dont really like the brutes. They were funny in Halo 3 and always trolled them. As they raged a lot and followed me everywhere and just hit the button B and dead. Funny. But the Halo 2 and Reach Brutes were more tough and harder to kill but in Halo 2 to tough! But alays funny. Halo 2 is funny to because me a brutes always have slapping competitions :
AnimalDenWinter 20 Report post Posted March 18, 2013 No not really. I thought they looked foolish with big hairy beards
Chris Hansen 92 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 In halo 3 they were way too easy to kill. In halo 2 they actually had some tricks up their sleeves and berserk was actually BERSERK. They got utterly owned by the carbine though. And double needlers, and plasma grenades...

Harbinger 231 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 I liked the Brutes in Halo 2. It just was a new experience plus theyre own special weapons. But I feel like they lacked in Hqlo 3 qnd ODST.
Eriatarka 33 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 Nope! Never have, probably never will. They're just way too predictable and easy to fight. They're supposed to be on par or even stronger than Elites, but they sure don't come across as it. Elites can do all sorts of evade moves like side-stepping, back pedaling, jump spins, but all I ever see a Brute do is charge right at me or go into armour lock. Not that fun! xD
Chris Hansen 92 Report post Posted March 29, 2013 Armor lock? I think you have the games confused. Brutes did all sorts of crap in halo 2.
Eriatarka 33 Report post Posted March 29, 2013 Armor lock? I think you have the games confused. Brutes did all sorts of crap in halo 2. Well, I was accounting for what they've done in all games. They blindly charge at you, armour lock, and sometimes dive to the side, but even then they're way too dull for me to enjoy.
PlexVanguard 15 Report post Posted March 30, 2013 Halo 2 brutes were good enemies, in three and reach they were mostly expendable, but funny. To quote Roland from headhunters "even look at brutes the wrong way and they go berserk, like picking on an emotionally compromised 12 year old." To quote Roland from headhunters "even look at brutes the wrong way and they go berserk, like picking on an emotionally compromised 12 year old." I didn't think they were good enemies at all. xD Their AI was incredibly stupid, even for Halo 2's standards, and they were mostly just a bunch of bullet sponges. They ran straight at you, did little if any dodging, and just didn't do anything that otherwise separated them from the rest of the enemies.
Frankenzer 347 Report post Posted March 30, 2013 Most brutes in halo 2 were the brutes of Tartarus
Chris Hansen 92 Report post Posted March 30, 2013 Tararus was the chieftain of all brutes. Even after his death at the hands of the arbiter/Johnson the brutes in halo 3 were still "his" brutes.
Sadly Just AL 481 Report post Posted March 31, 2013 They were okay, but 4 close range hits with a shotgun is just insane. The Tartarus boss fight was okay, but I never knew that the shield glow thing actually disappears, since I killed him on accident.

At least they were challenging, 3 an Reach versions sucked compared to them, the ones in Reach were better however....
TheGodfatherS117 132 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Yes I like the brutes because they give some challenge in the game.
Grumpy 18 Report post Posted April 2, 2013 Yes I like the brutes because they give some challenge in the game. Yeah, for AI challenges only Legendary will do. On Legendary, one does keep a keen eye out for Brutes, especially a berserking Brute. Hell, even on Heroic the Brutes in H2 had to be considered dangerous and they always seem to run with those damned Jackal snipers.

half0mike 7 Report post Posted April 4, 2013 Brutes were a horrible idea and are inferior to fight in every way than fighting elites. Brutes just took a ridiculous amount of damage and otherwise were just gorillas. Just awful. I don't care though just give us H2 multiplayer back you greasy thieves.
