  1. What's New in Diablo III Are you new to the Diablo series? Did you play Diablo or Diablo II? Are you curious about what's different in Diablo III, and what's stayed the same? Read on. In Retrospect We're proud of the original Diablo's dark, moody atmosphere and engaging item-grabbing gameplay. Diablo II added more environmental and monster variety, more diverse classes, and a number of unique elements that have since become synonymous with the franchise (like gems, runes, set items, etc.). Both games established the series' hallmarks: randomized levels, the relentless onslaught of monsters and events in a perpetually fresh world, unique quests, tons of items, and an epic story about the High Heavens, the Burning Hells, and the hapless and heroic human beings caught between them.Diablo III is the inheritor of this legacy, and we've added even more elements to the game to keep building on our vision for the world of Sanctuary. Skill Runes In Diablo III, runes give you unprecedented control over your skills and powers, changing elemental damage types, accuracy, and area of effect; adding new debilitating effects like slows and stuns; and even altering the nature and appearance of your abilities. Followers Sometimes a hero needs a helping hand. Followers, champions brave enough to join you in battle against the Burning Hells, are similar to Henchmen from Diablo II in that they can be outfitted with relevant arms and armor, but they're upgradable with their own skills, allowing you to customize how they fight and what passive benefits they convey. They're also fleshed-out personalities in their own right. Crafting & Artisans As you meet and assist people during your journey through Sanctuary, some of the world's most talented craftsmen will sign on to travel with you. These artisans are capable of putting the materials you'll find in the wilderness or salvage from unneeded items to good use, hammering out customized suits of armor or combining gems to unlock their powers. Invest time and money into an artisan's training, fill their shop with worthy materials, and they'll keep improving the quality of items they can produce, augment or combine for you. Seamless Interaction To push Diablo's blistering fast pace even harder, we've made some changes to Diablo III's character and inventory 'management' systems, so you'll spend more time using new powers to slay your enemies and get loot. Rather than hoarding skill points and holding off on improving your abilities while you wait levels for an ideal build, Diablo III lets you "respec" your skills readily to experiment with interesting choices. You can also share items between all of your characters just by placing them in your stash, and you can identify unknown items and teleport back to town without needing to collect scrolls and tomes to do so. Combat: Faster, Smarter, Deeper Combat in Diablo III follows the established model of clicking on your squealing, snarling enemies and watching the carnage – but it's deeper and richer. Scads of defensive abilities for each class mean more tactical possibilities; cooldowns on potions guarantee that choosing your targets carefully and controlling the battlefield is as important as what you bring with you to a fight, and the presence of health globes ensures that mobility can mean the difference between life and death. Improved Controls Diablo III adds new control options to the classic Diablo II hotbar, including full customization of all shortcut and mouse buttons, to make using your skills during combat quicker than it's ever been. Auction House Items are just as important to Diablo III as they've been throughout the series, so we've added an auction house for faster, easier trading without the potential for scamming and abuse that's existed in the past. Items can now be bought and sold without needing to count on the trustworthiness of strangers to make sure your exchange goes through smoothly. Classes and Skills There are five classes in Diablo III; four (the wizard, witch doctor, demon hunter and monk) are brand-new, and the returning barbarian has many, many new destructive tricks for tearing through foes. Each class has a unique resource system and appropriately different playstyle – no longer do all heroes share the single resource of mana. Monsters and Items Diablo III has more different, distinct monsters than Diablo I and II, and these monsters all bring their own special destructive abilities, some new and some familiar. The variety of Diablo III's random items is similar to that of the other Diablo games (though we've included Legendary items), but we've added thousands of new combinations, many with unique abilities and previously unseen properties. New weapon and equipment types, like the demon hunter's one-handed crossbows and witch doctors' mojos, also provide a great deal of class-specific flavor. PvP Arenas In past Diablo games, fighting with other players acquired something of a storied history. In Diablo III, we wanted to create a more formalized play-space for heroes to test their mettle. Diablo III's arenas are designed exclusively for PvP combat, and so they have different level layouts and rates of health spawning, along with matchmaking to ensure more evenly balanced battles. Expanded Difficulty The advanced Nightmare and Hell difficulty modes in Diablo III add new progression options to the game not found on the Normal setting – increasingly powerful and intimidating armor sets, potent unique items, high-level runes and exclusive recipes and upgrades for artisans. Monsters grow increasingly more dangerous in subsequent difficulty levels. In the brutal new Inferno mode, available only once the game's been beaten on Hell difficulty, monsters outstrip players in level range. Inferno difficulty is an epic challenge intended for players who have reached the game's level cap, and it offers epic rewards as well. Achievements You'll be able to show off your achievements with a battle standard, a banner visible to all players on Battle.net that will be a visual representation of your accomplishments in Diablo III. And you should expect even more ‘endgame' additions to come - ones that'll let you pursue unique goals and achieve more glory in the world of Sanctuary than ever before. New Epic Storyline Diablo has always been a macabre take on a classic theme – the battle between good and evil – set in a world of fragile people who have somehow persevered through chaos and tragedy. In Diablo III, we're taking this story to new heights (and depths), and exploring parts of Sanctuary we've only hinted at in the past. Welcome, and welcome back. 2. So it has finally been confirmed that Assassinations, The Covenant and Grifball are coming back. Here is the exact confirmation from Frank O'Connor on the Halo Waypoint Bulletin for this Week: I'll say what I think he means below. 1. Will assassinations return and if yes, will we have more unique weapon moves, for example the Energy Sword in Halo: Reach? –D4RKNESS 360 Short version, yes. Assassinations are altered, but they’re back. The weapon question isn’t something we’re going to answer today. 2. Will there be any Covenant presence in Campaign or Multiplayer? Be it weaponry, equipment, architecture, etc. –Lloyd Jo en es Yes. The Covenant will definitely return, albeit in a completely (graphically, politically and sonically) overhauled form, but they may be the least of your problems. 3. Will Halo 4 include Gravity Hammers and Energy Swords (or adequate replacements) for Grifball? –Kalbelgarion It will be (more or less) possible to play Grifball in Halo 4. 1. I think assasinations are coming back, but differently. For instance, I think we'll be seeing some neck-snaps, knife-stabs, and certain gun-assassinations. 2. I think this means that the Covenant are coming back to try and find forerunner artifacts. Their leaders might be dead, but they might have a new prophet. Anyway, I think when Frank said "but they may be the least of your problems".... He meant that they are aren't going to be the only enemy we face. Could we be facing Forerunner's instead? Most likely.. Maybe even Flood. Does this mean we'll also be seeing Elite's again? Because even though they aren't part of the Covenant anymore.. Our good 'ol friend The Arbiter, might come to help Chief. I mean come on, what would a Halo Game without Dinosau-, I mean Elites, be like. 3. Now after reading this over a few times, I think Frank is trying to say that we 'll be able to play Grifball. But we'll have to make a custom map in forge, along with a game-type for it. And yes, Forge has already been confirmed in Halo 4. Look it up.
  3. i don't really have any ideas, but i'm intrested to see what you guys think.
  4. Hello my name is Yoichi Hayabusa and I have recently joined this forum, it would be nice to get to know you all better in the future and to become an active member on this forum. Thank you for your time and have nice day.
  5. my idea is that they make a map (or maps) thats kind of like one that i have made (except mine is amateur). its a map with 2 bases, everyone gets one life, and there are 10 rounds, there is one sniper per base, with only 4 bullets, out of the 5 loadouts a few of them have a rocket launcher in them (the game type is called the battle of reach part 2 if your intrested in seeing for yourself), there are no scorpians or gauss warthogs. there is one rocket warthog and one regular warthog per base, one wraith, as many ghosts as u want, 2 revenants, as many mongooses as u want, one banshee, and 2 falcons. no spartan lasers, and 2 big bases. i fell like im missing something but you wont be able to see the map since there lot of versions, plus im editing it in case i have to show it to 343. but, in my opinion, this is the perfect map and gametype to be able to force the teams to use every single aspect ofthe game to win. this shud be a no parties allowed game type of course. comment under here
  6. Maximum of 16 clan members enter for each clan. Each clan gets to pick one map they will play their games on if they are the "Home Team". This map must follow these guidelines; takes up much of forge world is a custom made btb map, (or u can choose an already existant map) no spartan lasers(in a class or map) no scorpians no classes with snipers one sniper on the ground for each team with only 4 bullets in it no gauss wart hogs one or no warthogs for each team one life 5 different classes to choose from 10 rounds triple elimination, lose 3 games and your out *FREE TO ENTER, just for FUN no cheating, cheating results in automatic elimination once we get down to the final 4 teams we will seed it based on how well they did in the triple elimination round. the final round will best 2 out of 3 clan battles, 10 rounds each, single elimination. winner ges a congradulatory post on this website, and fame in the halo world. any clan may enter but fist u must meet with me (gamertag: A hil13) to make sure u understand all rules above. i may post new info about this on this page, about any new rules or how many spots are left. this will take place over the courseof the next few months. see u soon!
  7. More Halo 4 Info and Master Chief Photos! At first I didn't like His armor, cause I felt like it didint resemble Master Chief right. But the more I see it, the moreI start to like it. My favorite Picture of him is the first one. For some reason it reminds me of Halo 2. lol Also, 343i said their still trying different colors and changing his armor a little more.. https://encrypted-tb...-6xN1sEzjagUcXx https://encrypted-tb...0BTOdHp2dGzAnLw Halo 4 Info: Info quoted from The Halo Waypoint Weekly Bulletin: 2.15.12 "While it’s exciting to get a glimpse of the Halo 4 Master Chief in toy form, nothing will compare to when you finally see him in-game. I’ll never forget the exact moment his design started coming together; when inspecting the smaller details of his armor, such as the scarring on his chest piece, suddenly gave insight into the depth of his character; when suddenly… the Master Chief was the Master Chief. " "One of the Master Chief’s most notable physical characteristics is that he’s wearing 800 pounds of tank and jet fighter. So we pulled that design into the armor and HUD. When you play Halo 4, it’s important you understand that you’re more than just a gun on the screen. To give you that feeling, we have represented that weight with player physics, without interrupting crosshair and shooting accuracy." "A big focus on the Chief’s armor was his physicality and putting the player in those mighty shoes. Getting that weight across in the design had us looking at a lot of contemporary military vehicles, and we pushed detail and form into the armor that implied that history. This is the bleeding edge of military technology." A Spartan tossing his chest plate should feel like an anvil dropping…. A Spartan sprinting across concrete should be a stealthy whisper…. Putting on your helmet should feel like powering up an F-15E…. These are the sorts of experiences we want to give the players. "
  8. SPOILER ALERT! This Video reveals info about the beginning and first level of Halo 4. This info is real and straight from the newest Halo novel, Halo: Primordium. Frank O'Conner said in an interview, that the story has already been told through the books, and Halo: Primordium would give some big insight on Halo 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPANfSjrLU4
  9. Just though I'd talk a little bit about myself and whatnot. The name's Xephler, part of MLG team Liberate and founder/co-leader of DKO. Halo's the game and precision's the game. My gamer-tag, for anyone who wants it, is DKO Xephler. I joined this forums in order to catch up on some H4 action and share my ideas (maybe 343i will use them??? of course not, they're MY ideas and some little 5 year old kid who still poops himself would steal them and 343 would take his over mine...You're still reading what's inside the parenthesis? That's sad, because I've been typing inside this thing for quite a bit and the fact that you are makes you either clueless or you just can't understand when the parenthesis should be over...So...How are you? I hope you're doing well for someone I just called a complete idiot...I'm sorry, I get carried away, but you're still reading this aren't you? Whatever, That seems more like a YOU problem.) I pump out ideas like Kim Kardashian pumps out drama and nudies. Well, anyway, if anyone wants in on the clan or just wants to talk or play, that's cool. Just message me on XBL and I'll hit you up with an invite to my party/game. Forging is the best part of Halo for me, and if it were taken away from me, it'd be like getting hit in the face with a sack of "Saved by the Bell" DVD's....Ouch. Other stuff that might peak some interest would be that I play guitar, I like long walks on the beach and Cream 'N Cookies ice-cream. I play lacrosse as a defense-man, so I'm pretty much...(insert suspenseful music) THE MOST INTERESTING MAN ON EARTH...Drink Responsibly, my friends. I have a Steam account. I like cake, even though it's a lie. I don't see how ANYONE can get a stiffy wearing sweat pants, so there should be no worry. In the 8th grade, I made a 10 page poem about my cat for an English project. I believe that Gatorade is better than tea, I mean really, it tastes like piss...and don't ask me how I know what piss tastes like...wow I just realized that when I was typing "piss", I put "puss" instead...you know how hilarious that would sound if I didn't catch that? Here's what it would say: "don't ask me how I know what puss tastes like" wow, I think I just ruined your next month...I'm sorry mates

  15. Is it just me, or would everyone else like to see some new community maps in the BTB playlist. I'm getting tired of seeing Wayont up there for vote every time. As far as im concerned Abridged is the only good community map in this playlist and Trident and Mt lam lam suck terribly. I mean, mt lam lam is the size of powerhouse and it has 3 warthogs. WTF. Why did bungie ever put this map on the playlist!? And yet i rarely see paradiso up for vote. why? The only reason i even play BTB anymore is because of Hemmorhage, which is like the best vehicle map in the game. Opinions?
  16. http://www.bungie.ne...Bubonic%20Blood PS. Never meant Master Chief was the only Spartan alive, just really the only one that matters at this period and time. Though there may be some Spartans alive, there is none that can help the chief now.
