I was watching the FUD video for the 5th time today and was was wondering who Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo was. Corbulo Academy bears his name so this is his "real" story. This information comes from http://en.wikipedia....omitius_Corbulo. These are some of the key facts about him: Full name is Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo Born in 7AD Died in 67AD at 60 years old. Was a Roman General Brother in law was the emperor of Rome from 37 AD to 41 AD. His name was Caligula. born in Italy into a senatorial family His father had the same name. His mother was called Vistilia Was consul in 39 during the reign of Caligula Descent Corbulo was born in Italy into a senatorial family. His father (who entered the senate as a formal praetor under Tiberius) had the same name and his mother was named Vistilia, who came from a family who held the praetorship. [edit]Reign of Caligula The early career of Corbulo is unknown but he was consul in 39 during the reign of Caligula, his brother-in-law through Caligula's marriage to Corbulo's half-sisterMilonia Caesonia. [edit]In Germania Inferior Statue of Corbulo in Voorburg, Netherlands After Caligula's assassination, Corbulo's career went into a halt until, in 47, when the new Emperor Claudius made him commander of the Germania Inferior armies, with base camp in Cologne. The new assignment was a difficult one and Corbulo had to deal with major rebellions and violence outbreaks coming from Cherusci and Chauci Germanic tribes. During his stay inGermania, the general ordered the construction of a canal between the rivers Rhine and Meuse.[1] Parts of this engineering work, known as Fossa Corbulonis or Corbulo's Canal, have been found at archeological digs. Its course is about identical to the Vliet, which connects the modern towns of Leiden (ancient Matilo) and Voorburg (Forum Hadriani). Following Claudius' death in 54, the new emperor Nero sent him to the eastern provinces to deal with the Armenian question. After some delay, he took the offensive in 58, and, reinforced by troops from Germany, attacked Tiridates, king of Armenia and brother of Vologases I of Parthia. Artaxata and Tigranocerta were captured by his legions (III Gallica, VI Ferrata, and X Fretensis), and Tigranes, who had been brought up in Rome and was the obedient servant of the government, was installed king of Armenia. In 61 Tigranes invaded Adiabene, an integral portion of the Parthian Kingdom, and a conflict between Rome and Parthia seemed unavoidable. Vologases, however, thought it better to come to terms. It was agreed that both the Roman and Parthian troops should evacuate Armenia, that Tigranes should be dethroned, and the position of Tiridates recognized. The Roman government declined to accede to these arrangements, and Lucius Caesennius Paetus, governor of Cappadocia, was ordered to settle the question by bringing Armenia under direct Roman administration. The protection of Syria in the meantime claimed all of Corbulo's attention. Lucius Caesannius Paetus, a weak and incapable commander, who "despised the fame acquired by Corbulo (2), suffered a severe defeat at Rhandeia (62), where he was surrounded and forced to capitulate to the Parthians and evacuated to Armenia. The command of the troops was again entrusted to Corbulo. In 63 AD, with a strong army, he crossed the Euphrates, but Tiridates declined to give battle and arranged a peace. At Rhandea he laid down his diadem at the foot of the emperor's statue, promising not to resume it until he received it from the hand of Nero himself in Rome. Fall and death After two failed plots by noblemen and senators, including Corbulo's son-in-law Roman Senator Lucius Annius Vinicianus, to overthrow Nero in 62, he became suspicious of Corbulo and his support among the Roman masses. In 67 disturbances broke out in Judaea and Nero, ordering Vespasian to take command of the Roman forces, summoned Corbulo, as well as two brothers who were the governors of Upper and Lower Germany, to Greece. On his arrival at Cenchreae, the port of Corinth, messengers from Nero met Corbulo, and ordered him to commit suicide, which he loyally obeyed by falling on his own sword, saying,"Axios!".[2]

Hey guys was just scouring google for halo 4 information using the 24 hour filter and came across new pictures and information about the Halo 4 Limited Edition. At first glance you see schematics and briefing packets but upon further inspection you get a look at 2 discs. 1 of them is Halo 4, the other could be the Forward Unto Dawn series, or it could be a 2 disc split between campaign and multiplayer. Either way this is a much better look at the Limited Edition and may convince some people to buy it. You get to see the 2 emblems along with armor. Pictures are below.

I know that we're all well aware of the INCREDIBLY EPIC lines in all of the Halo games. Other games don't even compare to Chief's powerful one-liners or Johnson's sarcastic comments about the Covenant. Which is why I want to know YOUR favorite quotes from any of the Halo games. It can be a sample from a sentence, or the entire sentence itself. Anything you guys thought was pretty epic, don't forget to mention who said it and/or which game in the franchise it was from. Hey guys I'm getting a roxio capture card soon and was wondering what machinimas i could do. Im not 100% good video editor but I can do some things. I dont know how to add effects like following a person with a real image of a pizza box in his hands but I never really looked that up. Anyways what are your ideas for a machinima. I would love to hear what you guys would like to do. Let's keep this Halo related. I dont want to do some montages or pro snipes or whatever the hell Call of Duty has. I want Halo machinimas. Strictly Halo. I have to make it do-able too. That means I don't want un-realistic stuff as far as map editing or viewpoints. I would love to see some plot twists though. Last update: 6/19/12. 4:19pm Okay so, heres another one of my theories. So basically i believe that Master Chief has geas' imprinted into his dna that is similar to/from the didact. This would explain why we keep seeing the didacts symbol everywhere (even though hes dead). Because the didact was actually a good guy and he never wanted to even activate the rings. So i dont think that he is the enemy. I believe that the enemy is somehow medicant bias or a similar (corrupted AI). I believe that the enemy is a rampant AI because the Promethean's on requiem are AI's and due the fact that they are that red color (like the monitor when he went rampant). Also there seems to be a theme of rampancy all around Halo 4. In addition, at one point in the e3 trailer, we see what seems to be a seperate class of Promethean's, except that they are colored blue. I believe that the Promethean AI's that attack chief are rampant or under control of Medicant Bias (or another rampant AI). - I'll add more to this theory later, but WHAT DO YOU THINK?? Have anything to add? Or any criticism? -Update: 6/18/12 11:58pm Okay so let me clarify some things. First off, i want to explain the "chief's imprinted dna" thing. Now when i say this, i dont mean that he has the didacts exact dna. Lemme explain, when the humans were being de evolved after they lost to the forerunners, the librarian was in charge of overseeing their de evolution and their future evolution. Now she imprinted every human with certain geas' and (it is believed) she chose certain, specific humans with geas' from people she knew. For example she ( the librarian) gave every male human a geas that makes them attracted to women who most resemble herself. So what i am saying is that, maybe she gave chiefs great ancestors a geas that resembles/took from the didact? -This could also explain the trait that chief has that no one else does: ""luck"". what if luck was given to him via a geas from the librarian?... Just saying haha. HUGE EVIDENCE!!!!: -Also, in halo CE the monitor says to chief, ""Why would you hesitate to do what you have already done?" (regarding activating the halo). and we know that the didact was the one to activate the halos milenia ago. So it now makes sense as to why the monitor would say that...because he mistook the chief for the didact. -It also explains this line "Last time, you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed." - Also, if you believe that the chief has geas' from the didact, it explains and sheds light on everything in the first terminal in halo cea. (oh also assume that Bornstellar makes eternal lasting is dead or out of the picture when reading this theory) Update 6/19/12 - Just another thing to add, at one point in chiefs adventures in forerunner territory, he comes to an area and says it seems strangely familiar, as if he had been there before.... Maybe he did... As the DIDACT! anyways i hope this update cleared things up.. any more questions/comments? -Also feel free to check out my older ( now basically debunked) theories.. they have been basically shot down now, but still interesting to read.

Film guy here. Did a little work on the live-action bit that played before the E3 demo. I'll hold my reservations about it... My mind is always more in cinema than games, and admittedly, I only know a good portion of Halo cannon So, tell me if this rough idea is a bad one: Somewhere in the forthcoming series, a story arc happens between Cortana and Chief. The Forerunner "Halo" or whatever threatens the whole galaxy (again). Chief can't stop it without Cortana, but she's in a stage of rampancy that makes her antagonistic to our hero. With little time left, Cortana is contained, and the Chief’s new objective is to find and access an ancient Forerunner facility that gave birth to man and covenant. We do this explicitly for the purpose of saving our AI companion. Just before we arrive, we believe Cortana has been completely self-deconstructed and it's hopelessly too late. But the Chief tries anyway, and Cortana is successfully reborn as a human-Forerunner model (insert character-building cinematic). Instead of being useless and inviting all the design flaws that come with escort missions, she becomes an invaluable ally that aids in combat, navigation and progression. The facility is indirectly destroyed shortly after, solidifying Cortana's new role. That’s it. Fan fiction? Or a useable concept to progress the game? Constructive discussion, please.
