  1. Some design concepts that would be nice in Halo 4. Keep them simple, and make them clear enough for everybody to understand. My suggestions: 1: Enemies not automatically knowing you're there/ line of sight.The enemies in Reach always en mass know you're position. This isn't logical since not all enemies on a battlefield would know unless reported to, or they see you themselves. 2: Rechargeable energy weapons The covenant should know how to reload their own weaponry, be it via ammo or recharge batteries on the battlefield. 3: AI characters/ missions in forge. Letting players make their own missions and upload them along with more dynamic maps would greatly extend the multiplayer aspect. Also, grunt bowling would be awesome. 4: Commands. It seems odd that the missions in Campaign are often skippable, or seemingly bossy "fetch" style. Let us choose some paths ourselves, or tell marines to do something once & a while. 5: Single player DLC. Some add-ons or new game + concepts would be nice. Perhaps skulls that activate specific armor traits or abilities, or a Firefight skull that routinely brings in an airship to add to the difficulty during campaign missions. Maybe make these skulls separate from the credit system, just as turning on cheats in GTA disables achievements. 6: Actually usable armor abilities. Like most, I stuck with sprint as my armor ability. Sad thing is, my Spartan gets winded faster than I do. Also, a useable invisibility would be nice. Think about it. 7: Firefight Versus. One player plays as a Spartan, one as a low class covenant. As the rounds/ deaths advance, the covenant player "ranks up" going from grunt, to jackal, to elite, etc. 8: More Multiplayer Game Options. It would be nice to have armor ability that was double length instead of infinite, or have an instant respawn, or have melee damage at max while limiting bullet damage. Currently, these options aren't available in Reach, make them appear in Halo 4. 9: Less Invisible Walls. When I want to explore your beautiful game, please do not give me a kill countdown or knock me off a ledge. Halo CE let you go anywhere, and if Skyrim can do that sort of stuff, I'm sure Halo 4 can.
  2. This map is forerunner themed and has special fx, (for those who dont like fx sorry) this is the whole island view. The map is made for team slayer and CTF, 6-16 players. View of red base: and the almighty blue base oh and a tower for good looks the map has other forerunnerish features but i didnt want to clog the whole page with pictures. Anyway the map isnt on my file share but can be played customs when im on. Hope you like it community...
  3. I thought I would share some ideas I had for the upcoming Halo 4 forge system. I thought of these while playing on Reach's Forge World with some friends. They can be seen below: 1. Time/Weather effects (i.e Nighttime setting or Snow/Thunder effects) 2. Customizable/Placeable signs 3. A "Create-An-Object" feature that would allow one to basically "create" their own pieces and save them in their own category. 4. Breakable windows and operable door systems So, you all saw my ideas on what I would like to see in H4's forge. So I ask, what do you all want to see? Leave some comments and/or responses...well, you all know where, I hope. Oh, before I go, I just want to put this out there. I am the founder/co-leader of a clan on Halo: Reach. I say this because we continue onward and have high hopes of carrying on into Halo 4. If anyone is interested in joining up, go ahead and message DKO Fancy or DKO Xephler (myself).   4. Alright we all. Know the epicness that is the commentator of halo mulitplayer...double kill, killing spree etc uk ... Du u guys want the voice to stay? Or du u guys have any requests for a new voice instead? Let me know!
  5. At the moment I have 3 maps I'd like to show, starting with Bloody Arrow. Suitable for Slayer and CTF gametypes, 4-12 players. Very open and somewhat symmetrical, with fluid gameplay. Team Snipers on this map is sick. Then we have Middle Finger, a MLG map. Suitable for TS, CTF. 4-8 players. Symmetrical, requires team work to take control of the map. Last (for now) but not least we have Addendum. Again, Slayer gametypes and CTF. 4-16 players. Also symmetrical map at the most part, has lots of levels and ways to dominate here. None of the maps are available for download at the moment, but can be played out in custom games. Any feedback/opinions are much appreciated.
  6. 1st Map: The UNSC's base is on the island and is under construction. The Covenant think it's a good time to attack. So they plan one, a vicious attack on the UNSC troopers. UNSC, hold out before the Covenant do any damage to the base. This base is our only hope. Now save it. (Covenant need that Island to get to Tempest, (UNSC's most nearest station) and take over. My map the "Rock Museum" was is an example of a multilevel map in an enclosed environment that features USNC weapons, open as well as close and tight fighting areas and a variety of shooting lines for both the novice and experienced player to enjoy. The title says it all, it is a museum dedicated to the one none structural item in forge world, the rocks! They maps currently supports Team Slayer and FFA. Weapons on the map include all UNSC offerings plus the Covenant sticky grenade. All AA's are playable, but Jet Pack, Invisibility and Sprint are recommended. Here are a few screen shots of the map.   9. The following post was something I posted about an upgrade to Halo: Reach forge, but since I'm 100% positive that it won't happen, I've decided to make this about Halo 4. I've also made some edits. Please comment and give your opinion Among the items I would like featured in Halo 4 are-trees/shrubbery, skins for vehicles( like desert camo for a vehicle on a desert map, or winterized camo for a vehicle on a snow map.) forklifts/trucks(which were featured in the campaign of Reach),pelicans/phantoms,the ability to forge firefight maps and to forge on the existing ones, additional special fx, maybe optional precipitation, the use of music forge bubbles(which have the same characteristics of a special fx bubble, but will allow you to play music from any Halo OST), more money, more of each object,more kill boundaries, a mirror option to get the same exact object but reversed so you can make better symmetrical maps, and finally- an undo feature that you can use that reverts any mistakes to their previous state(this helps on those painstaking accidental deletions.) I posted this on Bungie.net back in June, so I thought that I might as well bring it here. I understand that the possibility of 343i putting any of these things in Halo 4 is slim, but I still respect the fact that they've listened to the people who play Halo: Reach and fixed some of the things that have been annoying everyone. P.S. I swear to Buddha I better be in the right forum this time.
  10. Well, I'm not exactly new to forge, so here are a couple of my maps that I've done. First one is called Head to Head. It's a map designed to look cool. I got the idea from a couple of "Ship" maps like UNSC Albatross and such. Basically, it's two ships in atmosphere (above the gulch) who have engaged in combat. The ships feature an armory, a vehicle bay, and two side mounted MAC guns (gauss hogs) that are accessed by teleporters located inside the ships. The Red Team ship looks different from the Blue Team ship. I created this map in about a week, back while I was still new to forge. I thought I wouldn't have enough money to do two ships, so I created one ship and one base. Does the ship look familiar? Yep, that's the same ship for Red Team in Head to Head, just with more weapons in the armory and more vehicles in the bay. Both the base and the ship have Mac Guns (gauss hogs). All the spawns are centralized because the map was created for aesthetic purposes rather than actual play. The map includes two armories which are accessed by teleporters. One near the initial spawn, and one that you have to use one of the falcons to fly through located in the giant ring floating in the sky. There are also vehicles located in the second armory with a teleporter that will take the vehicles to the island for some good ol' fashioned motor mayhem.   11. I was in the Shout Box today (shocker) and B3ta R13 suggested Halo 4 needs a First Person Vehicle switch. I personaly think it's cool to see a Warthogs steering wheel etc. And it would also be a pretty bad idea because you can't really see everything...But it would be a cool choice if you can! Remember In Halo Combat Evolved, when you got in the passenger you had an FPS view. Would that be a good thing to return? FPS Turret? Agree, that WOULD be awesome!   12. I think as a die hard halo fan an with 343 making halo 4 i feel it should be great i trust them alot! Im hoping tht in halo 4 when theres multiple accounts there should be there own pause menu similar to cod! What are your opinions?
  13. What halo games do you and did you expect more from and expect from? I have created this topic to ask you what you think of what bungie and 343 industries have done in the past games and what you think they will do in the future halo games. Do you think that they will do better then there past or that 343 industries shouldn't have taken over. This is what I thought of there past 5 games: Halo 3- Bungie has done an amazing job on halo 3 and even today in 2012 people that have the newer games like reach and anaversary are still playing. Halo odst- halo odst had a good campaign story a little glitchy though. They had an awesome idea when they brought in firefight and I didn't expect much more from a half priced game other than online firefight. Halo reach- halo reach was a very good game I think it's future will be very similar to halo 3. Halo reach is holding the record out of the halo games for biggest forging map. The campaign was good I missed master chief though. Halo anaversary- was a ok game I was expecting alot more. I was disappointed because really the only good thing they added was the option to switch graphics. Halo 4- halo 4 has a lot of expectation manly because it's a new company but so far I'm liking the thing they have done. Personally I'm pumped that chief is back new weppons vehicles and more. He says that 1 of the noble team could have of survived possibly jun because in reach it did not show him die maybe he could be in halo 4 hostage on the planet. Halo 4 talk / halo 4 beta I created this topic to talk to the public about Halo I love halo, but not just about that also I wanted to also talk to you about halo 4 and the beta possibly coming out this may. Halo 4 is expected to follow halo reach's pattern which is that the real trailer will come out around March-April the beta to come out around may, loads of info coming out around August-September and the game to come out in the fall.     Few Thoughts

    Here are a few ideas, 1st - the campaign -please do not have the flood in halo 4, have it in halo 5,6 -same with the cov. or at least not with the chief -bring back the halos, and Dyson sphere -and have more forerunner stuff and/or them 2nd - the multiplayer/forge -fix infection, glitches occur when trying to infect such as the 'betrayal' and not killing glitch (cutting shields and not health) -very little bloom, gets annoying when you have to wait for it to go down -customizable elites, halo 3 was good not Reach -cR earnings for armour, NOT for ranking up, exp does that 3rd - the actual hardware (ie manuals) -please have in depth manuals, not like CE:A, halo CE - 3 and Reach manuals were great -limited/legendary editions? that's all my thoughts GO 343i
  17. Have you ever played a prank on someone on Halo? Or have you had a prank be played on you? If you have, share what happened below! I'll start: Funniest thing EVER. XD When I was 10 years old I started a custom game lobby on Halo 2 on the map Warlock- (Snowy version of Blackout) ok before I actually tell the story I'm gonna tell everyone in case they didn't play Halo 2 that in the center top of the map there was a glass tile that you could see through the ceiling into the floor below. I started up a lobby and within minutes I was able to have a completely full game of people. (All which were older than me XD) Despite me being either 9 or 10, -I cant remember- I convinced everyone that if everyone stood in a circle around the glass tile that it would break if we all shot it at the same time. ...but only with Rocket Launchers. XD I got EVERYONE. EVERYONE. -to stand in a circle all on top of the tile hoping to see the glass shatter beneath their feet. I stood on top of them all, counted to 3, and right before I said 2 I jumped off of them, in mid-air stuck the middle guy with a sticky grenade, and when I said 3 I got a Killionaire! The rest of the game was filled with the gametype change from 'Slayer' to 'Lets kill RANMAN'. XDDDD

  19. Update: I mailed these ideas to 343 Industries themselves! FloodFight: I think there should be a new version of FireFight called Flood Fight. Where you square off in survival against waves of Flood. A re-imagination of Firefight, or kind of like Halo: CEA'S Mission: The Library. It could also maybe become a New Infection Gametype, where players square off 8v8. One team are players who spawn as Flood Forms who try to Infect you. While the other team are players who spawn as Spartans trying to Survive until the Round is Over. A good idea in the comments was: ODST Playlist: An idea of mine, is to make a new Playlist called "ODST". Where it is basically the same as regular matchmaking, but everyone are ODST's. The health system would be based off the game Halo: 3 ODST. And maybe when the Game starts, You and your team spawn in Drop-Pods. I think that would be pretty epic. Here are some Game-Types I came up with: ODST Team Slayer - 4v4 Slayer ODST Rumble Pit - Free for All ODST CTF - 4v4 Capture the Flag ODST FireFight - Classic Firefight ODST Swat - 4v4 Team Swat with the Killer ODST Magnum It seems like it would create and attract a New Halo Fan-Base. And suit some of the Halo Universe who love the playing style of Halo 3: ODST, more than regular Halo. It would create a whole new community, and you could play something a little different if you ever got bored of playing as a spartan in Multi-Player. All 343i would have to do is make a custom gametype for the Game Mode. As for having your guy look like an actual ODST.. It would be fairly simple. Just make a 3rd species preference. Its just like how you can choose between playing as a spartan or an Elite, except that you can only use it in the ODST Playlist.
  20. Here are my thoughts on Halo 4. Alright, lets Begin! Weapons: The weapons I think are returning are the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Sniper, Pistol, and Rocket Launcher. Why? Well because those have been some of the Main Weapons in all Halo's. If not them, then probably different versions of them. Also, I'm not to sure for Covenant Weapons, because we are done with them right? Maybe the Elites will become Allies though, therefore returning some Covenant weapons. I do NOT think Bloom, Armor Abilities or any Reach weapons will make a return, since their not in canon with Halo 4. And well, they suck... They might be for certain playlist's or Custom Games though. What I'm trying to say is that since we've had 3 games set after Reach, it wouldn't make sense for things that only appeared in Halo: Reach, to be in Halo 4. Because you then have to wonder, why the didn't appear in any of the games after Reach. Vehicles: I think the Mongoose, Warthog (confirmed), Tank, and the Hornet will make a return. Along with other vehicles like the Pelicans. And maybe the Elephant for Multiplayer? Armor: Some of the Halo 3 "Fan-Favorite" Armor like Recon and Hayabusa will make a return, and the rest will probably be new ones 343 have made.. Also, this gets me thinking... If were done with the Covenant, then does that mean no more Elite Armor? Not too sure.. They'll probably be back somehow. Probably as Allies. Forge: Forge I think, is going to be flat-out AWESOME! I personally think theres going to be new tools like the rumored "Glue", "Copy and Paste", and "Undo" option.And stuff like Weather/Terrain Control, Environment Editing (Trees, rocks), Drop-Pods, Sliding Doors. And maybe even stuff like broken Vehicles and Blood Stains for Machinimas or Realism. Copy and Paste: Instead of re-creating a piece. Just copy it and place it somewhere else on the map. Undo: Lets you undo any mistakes like accidently deleting stuff on accident. Glue: If you need to, instead of having to move a creation piece by piece somewhere else. Just select the glue option to make it all one option. Flood Fight/FireFight: I think there should be a new version of FireFight called Flood Fight. Where you square off in survival against waves of Flood. Kind of like Halo: CEA'S Mission: The Library. It could also maybe become a New Infection Gametype, where players square off 8v8. I did not come up with this idea, but have revised and wrote the way I think it should be. As for Good ol' Firefight. I think they just need to Re-Vamp or make it a little more like Halo 3: ODST. Matchmaking: Matchmaking is probably going to stay close to how it usually is, maybe some new Game Modes. But I would really just want it to go back to the style of Halo 1, 2, and 3. And have the Ranking System go Back to Halo 2 and 3. It was Legit. And if Elites are back, then I want them and the Spartans to be equal's again like Halo 3. Also, not a Kill-Cam like in Call of Duty, But at the end of each game. A video pops up showing the Game Winning Kill. What do you think? Also, an idea of mine, is to make a new Playlist called "ODST". Where it is basically the same as regular matchmaking, but everyone are ODST's. The health system would be based off the game Halo: 3 ODST. And maybe when the Game starts, You and your team spawn in Drop-Pods. I think that would be pretty epic. Here are some Game-Types I came up with: ODST Team Slayer - 4v4 Slayer ODST Rumble Pit - Free for All ODST CTF - 4v4 Capture the Flag ODST FireFight - Classic Firefight ODST Swat - 4v4 Team Swat with the Killer ODST Magnum It seems like it would create and attract a New Halo Fan-Base. And suit some of the Halo Universe who love the playing style of Halo 3: ODST, more than regular Halo. It would also be nice to try something new. And just so we're all clear, I don't mean the whole matchmaking. But just a small playlist to play this in. I just think this would bring in a whole new fan-base and group of players. It would create a whole new community, and you could play something a little different if you ever got bored of playing as a spartan in Multi-Player.   21. in Halo 2, there was supposed to be a flood Juggernaut located only in the game files. there were several locations that were prime for it. <----- Flood Juggernaut game playI personally believe that this should be included in Halo 4, if you agree, lets try to make it happen! (by the way, if you play computer halo 2, its possible to bring it back onto the halo 2 disk, since it is in the codes...)
  22. I think halo 4 should have first person driving. There are few things stranger to me then going from first to third person. Plus maybe they could let you shoot a gun through a warthog windsheild or over mongoose bars.
  23. One of my favorite features in Halo: Reach is the assassination system. I loved how every angle you come from decides which assassination you will do and soo forth. I have an idea that can make this feature even better in Halo 4. If we can actually use Kinect to make and design our own assassinations that would be amazing. Using the motion of your body you can make your own assassinations and takedowns. Also they should make them soo that you can save each as a file on your fileshare. You can chose whether it is a spartan assassination or an elite. Also you can use your voice to decide which strike or stab actually kills the player or whether you use the knife or whether you take their weapon or knife and kill them with it. Saying things like "Die!", "Unsheathe Knife" of "Fire!!" can trigger these things. I know a lot I would make. One I would tap the enemy on the left shoulder and as he look over his left shoulder I would move to the right and in front of him. Then I would unsheathe my knife and as he looks back I'd get him good right in the face. Also you you want to chose which weapon you want you can say the name then it can either pop up on your back or in your hands. It's just crazy all of the different animated assassinations and animations you can make in this game if they add this feature. Sooo what I want you to do is please vote and then comment below what you think about it and if you agree what kind of assassinations you would make.

Halo 4 needs: 'The graphics of Halo Reach. The originality of Halo Combat Evolved. The genius plot of Halo 2. And the Damn write awesomeness of Halo 3. ...If this is done, the best Halo game ever will be born.'
