  1. During this final month of the year for 2015, we come to recognize somewhat differently to the normal process with who we decide most deserves this title. Typically the Moderators of all ranks discuss people on this forum who are active, contribute positive content and are friendly to not only their friendship groups but people they have nothing in common with. This month, we decided to keep online those three criteria as norm, however we're extending the domain to which they apply. Halo is the common interest all of us share, we are united not only as a forum here at 343i.org by it, but rather all of the community of Halo is. That extends from general game playing of the franchise, reading the books and becoming a lore expert, cosplaying as your favourite characters from the series or even joining the ranks of professional players. Whoever you are, you love Halo and that's what this month we're here to prove. Additionally this promotion differs in the fact that we are not promoting one person, but rather a group. Not many people may know these members who are being promoted as the representatives for what we're recognizing. These three members are part of the development team known as i01, are have created such a beautiful creation "Installation 01" which aims to connect Halo players who loved the original trilogy through a multiplayer experience. Not only will it bring back classic memories that have long passed, but all of this will be available for free for all people in the community when completed. However, you don't need to personally know them to be hyped by their work. This applies to all of us who wish to experience the good old days of Halo again, all upon PC, Mac and Linux. As before, our intention is recognize people who bring a wealth of positivity not just to our forums, but to everywhere and everyone that celebrates Halo as something that they hold dear. December, the final month of 2015 recognizes the team of i01 as those who brought us their latest development news on this great undertaking of a project. All members from the team* will be awarded MoM for this month to recognize our appreciation for their work for the Halo community in general. This is the first time that more than one person in a single month has been awarded MoM, but we're not awarding this to one person, we're awarding this to a team who works for all of us. TheChunkierBean ISJTrigger Progo And all of the i01 Team! !!CONGRATULATIONS!! You three as part of the i01 team on our forums are recognized as our top choice for bringing together the Halo community even further, we trust that your eventual release of the full project will bring the classic and new Halo community together in the way that Halo MCC was meant to. You can find the i01's latest trailer as the time of this announcement here and information regarding their project here! Additionally their social media pages are provided; Twitter and Facebook *Note that our very own Community Moderator Church is part of the i01 team, but due to his status of a moderator, cannot receive this award that his colleagues are, but do not forget that everyone not only on the forums here, but in the team in general is being awarded this as a group.
  2. A day late however it is at long last here, Yoshi1176 and myself have sacrificially assembled this rundown of stunning individuals. This is a rundown that was to a great degree difficult to pick. We went to a concession to the individuals who went well beyond this month. This month is was particularly vital on the grounds that as you most likely are aware Halo 5 was going gold. This month consists of members who we thought would suit it best, however in no particular order whatsoever. Just remember, complaining will get you barred from the next election. So, please, don't do it. Yang Xiao Long Spoiled JL Self Destruct Kakashi Hectate BATMAN Melody Caboose the Ace Halo6 Follower Jahmir 2 and his partner, Jahmir 1 Honorable Mentions: ShadowFiend216 Media Bias Congratulation you guys! You did well to receive it this month, hopefully we'll see some new faces next month!
  3. Top Ten: September 2015 A day late but it is finally here, Fishy Edward Kenway, and myself have selflessly put together this list of amazing people. This is a list that was extremely hard to pick hell I probably would have punched EK a few times if I was able to but hell, we came to an agreement on those who went above and beyond this month. This month is was especially important because as you know Halo 5 is releasing soon so we need to present ourselves the best we can for the coming wave of new members. This month is home to a couple of members who have never been awarded the Top Ten award before which is always awesome so make sure you congratulate them! This list is in no particular order, and if you compain about not being on the list I will have your head and you'll be barred from next month so do not complain. Wam Halo5Follower rrhuntington Aramis the Pats fan ShadowFiend216 Caboose Kakashi Totally not a Druid UNSC Spartan and finally Sonic Honorable Mentions: *Top Ten Staff Fights Tooth and Nail* Congratulations guys! Keep it up, next time this list is up Halo 5 will be out!!!
  4. Is anyone else having an issue with the servers? Me, and a few of my xbox live friends are having trouble with finding and keeping legit games. We search for long periods only to find a game that takes a long time to start. Each person in the game is experiencing the same problem. They randomly spawn in throughout the game for the first time, whether there are 20 kills when you finally enter the game or everyone lags out. Sometimes you get a game and it has a bad host, meaning random spikes in the connection leading to super saiyan spartans. Let me note that my connection is very good, and has nothing to do with it. Recently my roster on the mcc has begun to work again after months of on & off capability. I like that a lot, but do you think it could of had some effect on the over all game? is there coding that mixes in with the multiplayer and roster? maybe it being supported with windows 10 now affected the game in some form? Anyway. Something is wrong, and many of the people i play with on a daily basis are experiencing the same problem. Just within the time it's taken me to type this my friend has been lagged out of a game, and then the next game it started with the enemy team having 18 kills already. Please fix what you've broken. I really love halo, and want it to be playable in some aspect again. -exomy

  7. Dear all, I have come to realise that Halo2 PC servers will not be online indefinately, this in itself is not a problem, a game like so many things in life has to come to an end and although Im fairly new to the PC version I have come to enjoy it very much. The population currently is past what many other publishers would deem dead and I am grateful for the servers being kept online. All I ask is that when 343i/Microsoft decide to shut down the severs please give adeqaute notice so the people who enjoy Halo 2 Vista can cram all the online play and achievements in before the close and have one final hurrah for the game. Thank you very much for your time, hopefully someone higher up will consider this at the least, Sincerely, HuxWard
  8. Welp, it's that time again. The time for another member to be chosen as the following month's best, top-notch, out-of-this-world person within the next several days. I have been here for only 3 months, since 3/20/15, and I would like to say something. As a Greenie, I'd like to say that this forum is terrifying amazing. Many of you have become my dearest friends. I've seen and noticed that just about every single one of you guys and gals, are really talented, and amusing, and just plain awesome. I'd make a list, but to avoid Church attacking Fishy, I won't. You all know who you are. And I thank and love every single one of you. I seriously, really care about each and every one of you. As only a 3-month-old Greenie, that says a lot. Within next week, Staff, Moderators, even the community itself will choose the next MoM (But mostly the mods). It's time for the torch to be passed on. I'd like for my name to be changed back to my original, AhhOldWoman. Consider it a wish. --I love all of you.-- Even Caboose, kind of.

  11. Quite recently I became obsessed in playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game. While I love the Video Game, the card game is a different and exciting part of the Pokemon Gaming Universe. So if you have played Pokemon TCG before, you are familiar with players taking turns attacks, putting Pokemon onto their bench and much more. My I wanted to share a creation my friend created, with some input for rules from myself. We call it Real Time Strategy Pokemon. How it works is that a turn is every 1 minute and that both players may do as they please, with some exceptions during each minute. I have a video below showing one of the first RTS games with Ian and Jeremy facing off. I am recording the video. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar1R-T2FpSw
  12. Hi, I'm Commander Raptor Just a fan of the greatest Halo game of all so far... Halo: Reach. Although I have made some analysis to this game and discovered a great many things. I've been in clans and led a few along the way. Let me explain to you where it all began. In a clan called United Legion PMCs (Private Military Contractors) I tried to add some real life tactical formations and tactics to the game and to my training operations. Some did actually work to excellent results and others got the entire team obliterated. But during those analysis I discovered the few problems that almost every Halo players have. Here they are; - Smart Field Movement (SFM) - Patience - Bloom control Those are only three of the many more. SFM is extremely important. Imagine yourself in Hemorrhage and you want to make your way to the enemy territory so you head out in a straight line IN THE OPEN and once you cross a hill or a rock Boom! you're dead by a sniper, a DMR shooter or anything. Plan your moves. Think. Smart = Be smart. Don't rush into things without thoughts. Take your time. Field = Look around you. Know where the enemy is at. Scout and recon around locations just to see and locate targets and choke points that you don't want to be caught into. Movement = When all your preparations are made then move on to your plan. Bring a few teammates from the game chat if you want. Make this everyone's victory. Patience is very important as well. Knowing when to attack an enemy and when not to. Also to always wait for your shields to recharge when depleted. Going in the firefight without a recharged armor won't do you good, a single lucky shot to the head and you're gone. Bloom control is about not spraying and preying your weaponry. Use control over these and guaranty every shot hits your target. All these traits can be taught in our ODST Clan. Join now! Message Cmdr Raptor for more intel and how to join. Thank you!
  13. CD Projekt Red's new open world sequel, the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has been delayed for another year to get the game up and ready for launch in peak condition. The popular RPG Open World series, the Witcher, was announced to be getting it's final chapter sometime in 2014. Today, news broke first on TheWitcher.com, the official site as the developers have announced the game is being pushed back, similar to Watch_Dogs' delay back in October of 2013. The developers made an open letter, not apologizing, but praising the game's now higher potential with the delay, and explaining the delay itself. View attachment: witcher04.jpg Exactly what they said in the open letter was, "We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015." Seeing as the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been, regrettably, delayed by another solid year, has this impacted your decision to pre-order now that more time will be going into the title?
  14. Thank you everyone for waiting through the hectic April Fools put on last minute by your lovely Community Staff and not abandoning ship from the sheer frustration of Bnus somehow being praised by our site. Bnus being MoM should never ever be a thing ever again. What SHOULD be a thing is this month's MoM. Member of the Month is for members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for months on end and have finally earned their time to shine in that color that only one member gets for the whole month. If we had given it out seriously yesterday it just wouldn't have been as special. So now that my rambling is done, let's give it up for: ASHLYNN
  15. So that time of year has came around again. It's April Fool's. Yep, and this year most sites are going all out. I have screenshotted a few things that have been announced publicly. You should do the same and post yours below! iFunny is on the trolling end: Google... Their sites ran backwards! Visit https://com.googlefor the personal experience. Techland is giving their players some fun buff as well. (Video Link is broken, otherwise I'd link it) League of Legends is also getting their "Lol"out of this. Chrome is also doing their own reaction Selfie for Android users across websites. Nature is posting some news with the following content: Next up, a retailer has celebrities purchasing their content, and oh boy are they funny. Remember playing Pokeman last year? Well this year Google Maps let's you play Pacman! DeviantArt thinks they're funny too, with their Today's stuff. You guy's gotta steam? Well no more PC gaming, they have just introduced the new Steam console! HaloWaypoint decided to get their SWAG on. Netflix was putting out some jokes as well. Making fun of their users. HaloCustoms also made their own Spoof contest. Not to mention, Frank O'Connor himself has revealed the upcoming H5 story. Last, but not least. Self Destruct has came clear on his favorite Halo: Reach armor ability! Well that's all I have for now! I will upload more later. Why don't you all share your experience down below?

  18. The new horror title, The Evil Within, has had it's future DLC detailed with some confirmed release time frames! Bethesda and Tango Gamework's horror tale, The Evil Within, recently had some new details released about future DLC content. This comes to us from BethBlog.com, in a blog post straight from Bethesda. They confirmed that two of the three expansions will center around Juli Kidman, the main character's partner, and the third will follow the infamous Keeper. The first of these packs, called The Assignment, will release in early 2015 and be the first chapter in Kidman's story, with the next, The Consequence, being released later in the year. These two stories will tie into each other as well as the main game, and redefine the main game whilst adding to what the horror aspects have done. The third DLC, with no confirmed name yet, will be the last to release and won't be for a while. There is no confirmation of whether this DLC will act to tie into the past two expansions around Kidman, but it will certainly connect to the main story since it follows The Keeper. All of this content is set to release sometime in 2015 and the main game has already released to mixed reception. View attachment: The-evil-within-ps.jpg I haven't tried The Evil Within yet, mainly because I still haven't beaten Outlast outright confirming I cannot stomach horror, but from what I've seen I might end up picking it up at a cheaper price along with some seemingly interesting DLC. What do you think of The Evil Within so far if you've played it yet? Let me know down below folks, thanks a ton for reading, I'll see you all next time!
  19. February 2015 Member of the Month! A day late, perhaps, however it is better late than never. This member is renowned across the forums and has quite a few accomplishments under his cap. He's a bit of a troll (still in training but he's getting better) but is known for being both verbose and eloquent, sometimes even at the same time. He's been very active around the forums for quite a while and is known for his roguish sense of humor. He is considered a friend by many and has been reviewed for this award a few times. Now he finally gets it, and it couldn't be more well deserved. Well maybe it could, but still. I mean, none of us are perfect. Except for me. But I digress. Who could this be, you ask? Why it's none other than... Congratulations, I hope you enjoy your month in pink!
  20. As most of you are aware of I have been honored to be nominated for the race for USF President. Also as most of you are aware of I'm not one really for fancy speeches or anything of that sort, But in every community both in the real world and here on the internet alot of people forget the fact that it is you the members that make or break the very structure of the community you have built. It is you who fills the forums with unique, interesting, funny or even occasional stupid post(not judging) but no matter what type of post you put forth in this community you will always contribute to it as a whole. I'm not going to sit here and tell you to vote for me because of some reason I come up with because I think you want to hear it. When you come to cast your vote for USF Pres. just remember YOU THE MEMBERS ARE THE LIFE BLOOD OF THIS FORUM AND YOU HAVE A SAY AND I WILL GIVE YOU THAT VOICE! Also I live to help the people that need it
