Vaulting♥Frog replied to Pbrabbit's topic in General Discussion
We are aware, but thank you for the suggestion. And yes we will have PMs about this however its nice to have a backup. -
I just want to say that I was at the Customs game night as well. Played some games with Skum and a few others. Eventually it died off (Fishy got involved too).

You guys ever played a game called starcraft?
Vaulting♥Frog replied to Kiing 0f Coffe's topic in General Discussion
Which StarCraft are we talking about here? -
Its based in the same universe so yes.

Well if that is your position then I wont bother voting on this poll. It is bias and you clearly do not want differing opinions on the subject.
-
So in otherwords you are unable to select an option that states that a player is fine with the DMR as is and is well informed on the subject? Kind of a bias poll...

Promethean's is what....Forerunners/Human?
Vaulting♥Frog replied to XenoPrometheanRunnerX98's topic in Halo 4
Incorrect. The original Promethean AI's were created out of the Promethean class of Forerunners. The Didact started using humans to create Promethean AI's because he felt that greater numbers would be a solution to the Flood and he simply didnt have enough of the Forerunners to volunteer for the process. This is shown in one of the terminal videos from Halo 4. -
I would hit that rail... it would be my face on the rail but I still would hit it.

I am not a fan of WWE to begin with. Not judging you, just dont like it period. That being said, I see a lot of programing required for this and a lot of it is just fluff when they could be adding in better and more important things. Customizing your assassinations might seem like a cool idea but have you taken into consideration all the factors that play into each animation? The rate a player moves changes the animation. The way the player being assassinated is moving also affects the animation. If your jumping and the other player is standing there is another different animation. Both being in the air is another different one. There are too many factors already that lead to different animations. I am content with what we already have.

I am not a big fan of it, but mostly because I dont like using the sniper outside of campaign in general. I know many have a blast playing it but for me the only amusement it brings me is the use of the thruster pack. Beyond that I dont care for the mode at all.

Am I the o ly one who sees 117 everywhere?
Vaulting♥Frog replied to BaconShelf's topic in General Discussion
I didnt take it seriously... -
I did a lot of those back in the day. Those were days where I had fun playing games with other people. These days however a lot of people I run across make the game seem like a chore (which is why I refused to have XBL until ME3 came out).

I read your post and you make a compelling arguement, however it doesnt sway me. My opinion is my opinion. I am not saying your wrong and I am not saying I am right. I am saying we are different in our views. I find there is a huge amount of skill involved in being successful with Halo 4. I find that with all the tools each player has there are more tactical choices you have to make. Things you have to be aware of that could possibly counter whatever it is you are trying to set yourself up for. Frankly there are just more things to keep track of in general which pushes players to their limits (well at least it pushes me). I see this as a good thing. Its a new skill set to master instead of an old one which people already have established patterns and where no actual growth in the community (in terms of "skill" [i hate that word but I have to use it]). I wont go into the Gauss thing with you because quite frankly I agree, it is a poor spawn for such a powerful vehicle. Actually I wont go into detail with any of it because quite frankly it would be fruitless for both of us and is just a waste of time. I am just going to end my post with this: The old order of "skill" from Halo 3 is gone in Halo 4 and I find that to be a good thing. Something new to master, new to toy with and a great baseline to build upon for the new series.

I find that I end up being put into just as many winning matches as I do losing ones. They kind of balance each other out over time. What most people notice however are the losing ones as they are a negative.

Considering that both your points and Sarges are completely based off of opinion they are both valid. That being said, I enjoy Complex a lot. It is a tough map and provides multiple areas for people to ambush you or catch you out in the open. The Ghosts are easily dealt with if you play your cards right. All in all I think it is a fun map to play on (and I dont camp on it).

1: You see 343 Guilty Spark moving through space at the end of Halo CE... Just have to watch the credits long enough. He is humming his little tune and going through space so we knew he was alive. The Cortana one is a fairly good point though. 2: While we barely got to know him as a character in Halo 4, I dont see that as a reason to keep him around. They could just as easily set up his demise as a premise for the Forerunners to return in force (they did go somewhere, just nobody is sure where) and their attempt at revenge upon humanity for killing him. In that way the character's development in Halo 4 just doesnt matter, only his death matters at that point. There are countless other ways they could go on from his death while still including him to some degree as a dead character. 3: I believe the Didact was unable to be composed in the first place... so I dont think that would have happend but who knows. Time does crazy things to physiology and his supposed immunity could be gone at the time he falls.

Must just be a personal problem as I do fine at any range.

Honestly the only reason why I started playing online was to play ME3's multiplayer due to it influencing the campaign. Beyond that I could live without having any multiplayer. I replay campaigns over and over again (not right in a row mind you) as they are enjoyable. I struggle to comprehend what people would do if there were no multiplayer games out there... That being said, if your not enjoying it then its not worth playing.

I dont see it but for some reason Liara keeps on showing up where ever I look. Tali showes up too every once and a while. -
1: I edited your post in this quote to make it a bit easier to read. I didnt change the content, just put it into more managable paragraphs and added punctuation where needed. 2: I disagree with you with every fiber of my being. I find that Halo 4 has more of a Halo feel than ever before. It is different true, however it is no longer detached from humanity. The characters are more life like than ever before. New issues are being presented which bring up questions of our past, who we are as a person and what our future might bring to the rest of the galaxy. The multiplayer has issues, that is a given. However I do not believe that they are that drastic. The gameplay is fairly solid and each person has has a fairly good start. No one player is superior to another in the begining of a match. That is because we are able to choose which weapons best fit our playstyle. If you prefer longer range damage people go with the DMR. Better with higher rates of fire? Go with the Carbine. Closer range stuff has its own weapons as well with AR starts. With the mixed bag on each team, the teams themselves are more or less equal. There also are weapon drops on the game that you can plan for and make stratagies around. Each person has an equal chance at fighting over the random drops on the map. Vehicles are farely well balanced (except the Gauss Hog on Exile). There is tons of tactical choices to make, more than ever before actually. The depth of choices in this game and how they can affect the outcomes of matches is astounding. "Skillful players" (I use the term loosely) still are able to rock the field of battle. I for one thrive in BTB on Halo 4. I might not score at the top all the time but I am bloody good to have on a team. Knowing when to support other players and with what is more important now than ever before. They are actually encouraging teamwork in this game. Yes, I think the boltshot needs to be tweeked, but only slightly. Its a great weapon to begin with but yes it does need to be tweeked. In the previous Halo games the BR dominated everything, now your complaining that a new weapon (the DMR) has the lime light? More importantly the BR can tool the DMR closer in and in SWAT on tight maps the BR far outstrips the DMR. It has its uses and still is a very powerful weapon. If anything the Carbine needs a boost. I personally enjoy the maps in Halo 4 (with the exception of Shatter and Vortex). They are fairly well balanced to me and create opportunities for teams to thrive or be destroyed (depending on which team you are at that given time). Map control is still very important and in the vast majority of the Halo 4 maps you are able to control the flow of battle by taking certain areas (for example on Longbow you take the top middle structure). I am not particularly sorry that you dont like the game. That is your choice, but that doesnt make Halo 4 a bad game or a "ruined" game. The Halo franchise will continue on in a new direction (one that I think is a good one) that provides an enjoyable experience for all players. Food for thought: Games will never be tailored to what YOU want them to be. Enjoy what you have for you are lucky to have it in the first place.
