  1. Perhaps it already has hit it's biggest peak, but there will be another peak around Halo 5, Halo 6, they may both have peak times. Whether those peaks beat Halo 2 or Halo 3's peak is up in the air really. This is why I certainly hope Halo 5 smacks a Home run in terms of Sales and has the ability to keep it's players playing for a Loooong time. I do know this series has hit a rough course no doubt, but all I ever hear out of people is that Halo is the only reason they will ever buy an Xbox One. I mean after nearly 13 years of Halo, and mixed rough road bumps all over the franchise (mostly in the last 4 years), it can still sell a $500 Console on it's own? This series could survive a nuke if that's the way it goes. However... Halo 5 will be a big revealer upon how long the series truly has left. The feedback will be tremendous, and I pray it be positive. I just don't want what happened during the week of Halo 4's release to happen again. Thinking of that scenario alone will make me anxious the day before, and after it's release.
  2. How about this? or this... Mostly around 4:35 mins in. Halo is one of the best games in terms of wrapping the atmosphere up into the music of the game. It provides an immersion into the fabric of the game I have yet to see from some other franchises.
  3. Yes. Cairo station really takes a toll on you. Those first legendary Elites you encounter out of the boarding ships still give me nightmares. I also found it exponentially easier to complete most of the campaign after that...until I met the Gorillas.
  4. Halo 2... I never beat it on legendary. The farthest I ever got on legendary was on the level Gravemind in the first room of the level. I remember screaming at the brutes and saying it was impossible. Getting locked in that first room sealed my fate, and I had to start hiding for my life. Never did get out of the room...alive at least.
  5. This is somewhat why Halo 2 Anniversary (if it's made) needs to bring back the multiplayer component as well as the campaign. A Halo 2 anniversary rumor has already made some people say they'll buy the whole Xbox One for it if it's made. Voices and backlash from Halo 4 turned heads at 343i, but seeing the deep love people have for Halo 2, especially for it's multiplayer...they should come full circle and see clearly what everyone wants. (and no I don't mean Halo 2 or Halo 3 MP for Halo 5, I mean something like them but with new flavors added in as well) I hope Microsoft realizes what opportunity they have with Halo 2 anniversary...and I hope 343i realizes why that opportunity is there for the taking.
  6. Well I did read it... and it's what I thought it was. It is just a review of everything we have already heard. The closest it gets to saying the next installment of the series is on it's way in 2014 is in the beginning of the article, and even then they're really just speculating that the name is Halo 5. I do say that this is all up in the air until Microsoft or 343 actually confirms these things themselves.
  7. I just read a different article that said that they have heard of people who have read the magazine. The readers say there is nothing new except for some concept art and it does not really deliver any groundbreaking news about it being in 2014. http://www.gamezone.com/news/2014/02/21/halo-5-is-coming-this-year-oxm-claims
  8. Everything in the description checks out. The problem is... wouldn't Serena be dead? She was a "Smart A.I" meaning she would start to die after 2537 or 2538? So there would be no room for her to say the line at the end. The only way I can think of her surviving was that there was nothing else to do or learn in 30 years, besides keeping the life support online and the cryo tubes running. I would also love SoF return, as I don't want them to be remembered as the ship that was "Lost with all hands..."
  9. *robot voice: "When it's time to party we will party hard..."

    1. Vitamin Pwn

      Vitamin Pwn

You,You work all night(all night) And when you work you don't feel all right

  10. My Favorite Is Halo. So many random funny things could happen on the drive out of there. It has the challenging beginning of the level fighting the flood (which to this day the vidmaster brings me nightmares) . Then you can drive out on a mongoose, warthog, ghost, or even a brute chopper. Me and my friends made a game for Halo 3 that started on this level. The games rules are simple: Don't die by Infection Forms (Baby Flood as we call them). We've made it a taboo thing ever since our friend died by them 5 times in one night. I had never laughed so much in my life. Sometimes we'd also get out and fight each other in warthog wars and wait until the towers would fall and we would fly out the map, or we'd get out and walk along the edges of the level and find snow walls that weren't supposed to be there. We played this level so much it's old now.
  11. Well Halo 4 did have sentinels, the only reason you couldn't get a sentinel beam was they wouldn't explode. It may be safe to assume that every Halo game where you're on an installation or forerunner built planet there would be sentinels. It's if 343 wants it in the game that comes down to it being in the game. Now Brute weapons are another story. Halo: Escalation has brutes playing a role but I only have the first comic of the series so far. If the brutes aren't in Halo 5, (which seems likely but you never know) their weapons should not be included. (Except for The Gravity Hammer, You always need the gravity hammer. )
  12. Original Xbox: Halo: CE Xbox 360: Halo wars and Left 4 Dead. I was looking for Halo 3 and saw the first thing that looked like Halo without even thinking what the title was. That made me hate Halo wars for a while until I actually played the game for more than five minutes. Xbox One: Ryse: Son of Rome, NBA 2K14, and Battlefield 4. I still find myself playing 360 more because there is no Halo on the Xbox one yet. And now every console is stacked on each other on my desk.
  13. So the company who saved the North American side of the video game industry with the NES is falling... This is very sad news, as Nintendo was always there when I needed to play a game in the late 90s and early 2000s. They gave us the N64 which was one of the best consoles of all time. Nintendo, it's so hard to say goodbye...
  14. Welp... as I said before, now my vote goes to BZ1. The apprentice becomes the master.
  15. A couple of weeks ago I made a remake of a old Halo 3 Commercial in gmod. The commercial was called: "Believe" I'll show you mine first, then the original... Mine: Here's the original from 2007: I tried to be as true to the original as possible, but with Garry's mod some things must be altered. I made this because I thought it would go good with the mercenaries of tf2 vs. the robots, compared to humanity fighting the covenant. The parallel is made when you see the TF2 characters fighting for their very lives against a seemingly endless foe, the same way we fought the covenant...
  16. and then this happened... Yeah I know, the sacrifice for Luke. You both have your enemies... If it wasn't Jinn then I would have picked you BZ1 There are literally zero gifs of your death
  17. I nominate Qui-Gon Jinn... ...hopefully Darth Maul won't come out of hiding and assassinate him if he wins....
  18. 343 Industries Hires Professional Halo Player Eric Hewitt. "Hewitt, aka "GH057ayame", has joined the studio at a yet to be revealed capacity. Hewitt previously competed in professional gaming events with Team Carbon." "Though Hewitt has never worked on the Halo franchise in an official sense, his credentials include assisting the Halo 4 Global Championship and helping create the settings for Halo 4's official competitive playlist." (he made Team Throwdown) Full Article here: http://www.mcvuk.com/index.php/news/read343-industries-hires-professional-halo-player/ (near the bottom of the page) Was this move made to help give Halo (insert name here) a classic type of MP, or only to help with the overall multiplayer? Here's a video of his team playing MLG Halo 2 back in the day:
  19. Eurogamer has come out with an article this morning that states that Microsoft has "No plans for a Halo movie" Full article found here: http://eurogamer.net/articles/2014-01-14-Microsoft-no-plans-for-a-halo-movie It even mentions the rumors this whole thing is based upon.
  20. Saddest moment has to go to Halo 4s ending for me, but the second has to be the legendary ending of Halo 3 "I'll miss you..." "Wake me... When you need me" *Pans out and then fades to black* Those two lines signified the end of an era...
  21. Halo 5... Maybe KH3 or Star Wars Battlefront but I've not decided if I will or not. Most certainly would get Left 4 Dead 3 the very moment it was released. The Left 4 dead series is about my third favorite video game series of all time. The only game I've ever gotten day one was Halo 4, midnight release.
  22. "It is" five minutes later "It isn't" Could they just tell me what it's called? Why such a hissy fit over telling us the true name?
  23. Most Forerunners would go through mutations that would follow their certain rate or caste system. This could make different classes of forerunners look very different from one another. The Didact has 6 fingers, while The Librarian has 5. The reason for this is because Didact was a Warrior-Servant, and The Librarian was a Life Worker, and their separate class called for separate mutations. The mutations would be anything from increased height, to an extra thumb. However, I am unaware of what classes get the extra thumb besides warrior-servant. The six handed terminals could have been reserved for six fingered classes only. Although that makes me wonder, how did the humans get in the library and beyond in Halo 2, if they only had 5 fingers? I guess the doors were just magically opening because they were human. There are more holes in this than Swiss cheese. Fingers list Humans- 5 (hopefully obvious) Sanghelli- 4 (two fingers and two thumbs) Forerunners- 5 or 6 (and could vary even farther than that)
  24. AC4- I know I shouldn't judge one game based on another, but AC3 turned me away from that franchise. CoD multiplayer- a myriad of reasons stated above (I do love zombies in the first black ops and WaW though) Mass Effect- I played the 2nd one for about 4 hours, just couldn't really get into it.
