  1. I may be going off topic, but speaking of boss enemies in H2A...They could (not likely to happen though) have the flood juggernaut appear through a complicated Easter egg. Many people want the game to be virtually the same, but making it so this boss only shows up if you make it happen does not change core gameplay. That Monster is still in the files of the game, so it's not like their adding him either. I always wondered how hard a boss he would have been on legendary...
  2. Will they be? I wonder "why not." Should they be? I still wonder "why not." Even if Elites aren't allowed in multiplayer, (for whatever reason) they should still be playable in custom games or certain game modes. For one "If" reason and one "when" reason: 1. "If" the Arbiter is in the games campaign with his ally Elite buddies runnin' around with him, then there is a canon reason for them to be in multiplayer. (even though you truly don't need a canon reason.) 2. "When" forge film creators go to make their films, and they want to shake it up a little, there's those Wort Wort Worters there to be your covenant bad guys. I don't know how many Reach Machinamas I've seen with an Elite friend, Elites only, or an Elite enemy faction facing off against the Spartans. and there is a third reason, I just forgot about it. It is a big one however. 3. The Elites have a HUGE following in the Halo Franchise. Some people just prefer Elites over Spartans. People have clans devoted to just being an Elite Clan! I for one prefer Elite over Spartan. My Halo 3 character has been Elite for years now without me changing to Spartan (even with that cool Katana), same for Halo 2. When Elites first became playable in Halo 2 I thought it was SOOOO Cool, playing as the enemy, fighting with the other Elites instead of having them kill you all the time. I still think it's cool! I'm getting ahead of myself though, that was just my opinion. I'm just saying the Elites get as just as much love as the Spartans. (even if people call them dinosaurs , even when they are actually more snake like than anything else.) Hopefully we see them in the next installment. (on our side of course!)
  3. No, They both have their strengths and weaknesses Do you think any of the Star Wars Prequels hold a candle to the originals?
  4. I'm the type of person who just wants the best for the Halo franchise as a whole. I have set back and watched people bicker and argue (not just this site but in general) about what Halo needs to have longevity in it's MP. What I have seen makes me come up with this: 50% Competitive 50% Casual What I'm saying is that from what I've seen there must be balance between casual and competitive MP and it must be fine tuned to a T. Not too little or too much for competitive and vice versa. Ordinance drops, from what I've seen, are apart of casual gameplay mechanics. The competitive side of Halo wants a more Halo 2/3 styled MP. Pick up power weapons, no Armor Abilities, pick up Camo, no DMR/boltshot/etc., and No loadouts have all been things the competitive side wants to see. Casual players just seem to seek the fun, semi-competitive nature of the game, just looking for a good time. However, Halo 4 leaned more towards the Casual end of the spectrum. The game made competitive players feel betrayed really, like the game didn't suit them. The competitive players reacted to this very poorly and a little out of control, thinking that Halo was only made to be competitive (not every competitive player thinks this way) and for them. Compromise must be made between the Competitive and the casual, the old and the new. A peaceful society can not be a divided one at the same time. Not everybody is always competitive, nor is everyone always casual, so Halo 5 has the ability to amend this. I hope that they are able to do it.
  5. Yes, but Ice cream cake mostly. Do you think Aliens exist?
  6. Huh... bet you 1,000 to 1 the UNSC though the same thing, and we saw what happen to them . That's why the word probably is always good, because our minds still have to be open to the possibility that it could be a reality. Humanity's is great, but we understand very little when it comes to what's out there in the great beyond. Going back to the topic, I have always loved space and space related things. Whenever the moon is out I will most of the time stare at it for a good fifteen minutes. Just wishing I could feel what it was like to be an astronaut jumping around up there. Halo really multiplied this feeling. I always love looking up at skyboxes in Halo games. That's why Truth and Reconciliation is one of my favorite missions of all time. All those beautiful stars. I would go up to Mars... If I had nothing to lose. If I had nothing left for me on this Earth, then I would find purpose on Mars. For now though, nah. Our future lies in the stars. Haven't you ever heard "shoot for the stars"? because were actually talking about the stars...
  7. Beat Halo 2 on Legendary for the first time ever, thus completing all Halo games on Legendary. My Larynx was destroyed, some blood loss, and the Jackel snipers messed with my head, but it was worth it. Now to go for all LASO.

Halo 2 LASO is unheard of.

  8. Playing Halo 2 on Legendary. They'll send my body to this site in a box, killed by beam rifle Jackels.

Halo 2 Legendary is the hardest Campaign on Legendary by far.

A lot of people hate those Jackal Snipers. At least the Campaign is great. :) Love the story. ;)

  9. Reminds me of how the Dragonball Z characters used to react to something they heard that wasn't good or when they saw someone very powerful, they would make that unnatural grunting sound with the back of their throats and it always urked the heck out of me. Could they have one conversation without making noises no human (or saiyan(or alien)) would make in any situation? Also the fact that they always let the villain power up and never attacked when they were at their weakest or when fights would last 20 episodes. They get you so hyped for said fight, but by the time it reaches it's fifteenth episode it starts to get old. Anyway, I've watched hellsing, DBZ, DBGT, Bleach, and a good amount of Full metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, and Inuyasha. You gotta hand it to Adult Swim and Toonami, they have some good anime on Saturday nights.
  10. Basically, I want any Halo to come out on the Xbox one really. I need a Halo on that machine because I really got it for that and 2 other Triple AAA titles coming out later this decade. I mean no Halo is making it extremely boring over on the Xbone. However, I do believe H2A should be an appetizer, while Halo 5 becomes the main course.
  11. "Do you know what "suck the heads" means? 'Cause I came down here with Keith once, and he didn't know, and― I mean, it ain't nothin' bad. It's about eatin'―"

Is that from Left 4 Dead 2? I know Ellis is always talking about Keith.

  12. I too have a fascination with all things World War II sometimes. Makes me wish they still made WW2 games. I know they've been done to death, but so have these modern shooters. Alternate a little bit, would you game developers?
  13. I would go but I already got plans. I might go if they fall out though. To everybody going: Have Fun!
  14. I'd say that besides TF2, (I'm always obsessed with that) I've seemed to be disturbingly intrigued with Nazi Germany Culture. In the last month it's just been a complete study for me of their songs, their history, and their role in WW2. I really don't know where this came from. I'm recording 12+ hours of World at War (documentary) on the military channel, just to squeeze out any knowledge I don't already know. It's really not the best thing to be obsessed with really... but it is history.
  15. I voted two betrayals. That mission just starts off Hard and is relentless throughout. Especially with the three way war going on between Covenant, Sentinels, and flood...It's just Havoc. Each faction you fight against has it's own weaknesses and strengths and you could be caught trying to fight one while not being prepared for the other. It's a long, tedious, power node booby trap mission that had me running low on oxygen by the time it was over.
  16. Just saw this today that I got an award in the User awards tab. Thank you so much, it's a real Honor. Congratulations to everyone else too! I guess this describes my feelings right now: https://31.media.tumblr.com/0f7727b1a8c0bc9202061c270f3d13e1/tumblr_inline_mzix4k1bq61qzup4k.gif
  17. Perhaps it already has hit it's biggest peak, but there will be another peak around Halo 5, Halo 6, they may both have peak times. Whether those peaks beat Halo 2 or Halo 3's peak is up in the air really. This is why I certainly hope Halo 5 smacks a Home run in terms of Sales and has the ability to keep it's players playing for a Loooong time. I do know this series has hit a rough course no doubt, but all I ever hear out of people is that Halo is the only reason they will ever buy an Xbox One. I mean after nearly 13 years of Halo, and mixed rough road bumps all over the franchise (mostly in the last 4 years), it can still sell a $500 Console on it's own? This series could survive a nuke if that's the way it goes. However... Halo 5 will be a big revealer upon how long the series truly has left. The feedback will be tremendous, and I pray it be positive. I just don't want what happened during the week of Halo 4's release to happen again. Thinking of that scenario alone will make me anxious the day before, and after it's release.
  18. How about this? or this... Mostly around 4:35 mins in. Halo is one of the best games in terms of wrapping the atmosphere up into the music of the game. It provides an immersion into the fabric of the game I have yet to see from some other franchises.
  19. Yes. Cairo station really takes a toll on you. Those first legendary Elites you encounter out of the boarding ships still give me nightmares. I also found it exponentially easier to complete most of the campaign after that...until I met the Gorillas.
  20. Halo 2... I never beat it on legendary. The farthest I ever got on legendary was on the level Gravemind in the first room of the level. I remember screaming at the brutes and saying it was impossible. Getting locked in that first room sealed my fate, and I had to start hiding for my life. Never did get out of the room...alive at least.
  21. This is somewhat why Halo 2 Anniversary (if it's made) needs to bring back the multiplayer component as well as the campaign. A Halo 2 anniversary rumor has already made some people say they'll buy the whole Xbox One for it if it's made. Voices and backlash from Halo 4 turned heads at 343i, but seeing the deep love people have for Halo 2, especially for it's multiplayer...they should come full circle and see clearly what everyone wants. (and no I don't mean Halo 2 or Halo 3 MP for Halo 5, I mean something like them but with new flavors added in as well) I hope Microsoft realizes what opportunity they have with Halo 2 anniversary...and I hope 343i realizes why that opportunity is there for the taking.
  22. Well I did read it... and it's what I thought it was. It is just a review of everything we have already heard. The closest it gets to saying the next installment of the series is on it's way in 2014 is in the beginning of the article, and even then they're really just speculating that the name is Halo 5. I do say that this is all up in the air until Microsoft or 343 actually confirms these things themselves.
  23. I just read a different article that said that they have heard of people who have read the magazine. The readers say there is nothing new except for some concept art and it does not really deliver any groundbreaking news about it being in 2014. http://www.gamezone.com/news/2014/02/21/halo-5-is-coming-this-year-oxm-claims
  24. Everything in the description checks out. The problem is... wouldn't Serena be dead? She was a "Smart A.I" meaning she would start to die after 2537 or 2538? So there would be no room for her to say the line at the end. The only way I can think of her surviving was that there was nothing else to do or learn in 30 years, besides keeping the life support online and the cryo tubes running. I would also love SoF return, as I don't want them to be remembered as the ship that was "Lost with all hands..."
