  1. I just started reading the fall of reach book and here's a line that proves translators existed at some point in the Halo universe (unless that book's non-canon now) Taken from the first page of the prologue: (talking about grunts) "They reminded Chief of biped dogs, not only in appearance, but because their speech- even with the new translation software- was an odd combination of high-pitched squeaks, guttural barks, and growls" This was from the battle of Jericho Vll, which was 17 years before Master Chief was in a game, so maybe things could have happened over the years to the translation software, or maybe it was new armor. I don't know, but I found this thread interesting after I just read something about translation software earlier today.
  2. I've been wanting these scattered Spartan II's to reunite for awhile now, but I am getting the strange vibe that if they show up in Halo 5 it will be in halfway into the campaign, but if they don't show up in that game I feel as if they won't be in Halo 6 either. what I want to know is, how big will their role be if they show up?
  3. I think it would be unlikely to see the mark IV armor in multiplayer, but it could be possible. I also agree that it looks better then Mark V. I think it would be more possible to see it in the campaign of a prequel or maybe even the multiplayer of a prequel, but prequel games aren't even on the table right now (at least I hope they're not). I just haven't seen many people asking for a mark IV set for multiplayer, I believe that's why we probably won't see it in future Halo Titles. Still would be cool to get one though.
  4. You know if this does come to pass it will helpful, but this whole situation doesn't feel right. I never thought in a million years Halo fans would hope to see another Halo installment fail for the benefit of another, even if it was Halo 4. But what must be done must be done, I'm all in for anything that makes Halo great again, after Halo 4s downfall it's all I've ever wanted to see (I still do like Halo 4 even with its flaws). Sacrifices must be made for the great or good of this franchise. 343 may have to take some hard hits to the noggin to understand, and this sure as hell could be one of them. Just a sad day, but also a good day because it'll be nice to see Halo 3 with a little more bulk in it's population. *sigh* if only I had a time machine and some money for a flight to Seattle with a rental car to drive to Kirkland...
  5. "when we break $900 million in sales for Halo 5..." I would give anything to see this again: I'm Dreaming again...
  6. This is true, however, at the time John still thought her chances of being alive were good. So he had hope. After watching her disappear in Halo 4 that hope suddenly vanished along with her. It's not being with her or not, it's him knowing now there is (most likely) no chance to save her.
  7. 7. Getting your pinkie toe ran over by a warthog and dying immediately (Halo:CE)
  8. The only thing that would make this game less stellar for me would be if you couldn't toggle between First person and Third Person... I know most of the games these days are FPSs and most people would be more accustomed to that style of shooting, but it would be nice if I could play it in Third person because that's the way I played SWB and SWB2 back in the day. (and so did a lot of other people)
  9. Well I did have fun in it, and I spent a lot of time in it, but I couldn't really think of another game at the time so I just named that one... It's definitely not the worst game I've ever played...
  10. This will haunt them forever... Even when it won't matter farther down the road, people will always remember when Microsoft tried to screw them over, and it will cause so many decisions to turn the other way... But that's just the way it goes.
  11. My reasons to get the X1- Halo 5, Halo 6, etc. KH3 SWB3 This is the culmination of my childhood, and I'll make sure that I'm sitting in front row ready to bear witness to it...
  12. If this is true... woo boy, those Half Life fans are going to have smoke coming out of their ears...
  13. Okay, Aliens: Colonial Marines is a game that sucks, Fable 3 is a game that sucks, Sonic '06 is a game that sucks... Halo 4 does not suck, it is just unwanted by it's fans. Why is it unwanted? Because it did not improve from it's predecessors (at least in the eyes of it's fans) and deviated way too far from it's roots (the red headed step child of Halo). Adding elements from games that we particularly hate. (ex.Call of duty) To say that it downright sucks is a little much when comparing it to the myriad of terrible games that come out on the market these days. When the Halo Franchise reaches the Level of terribleness that any of the games I listed above are right now, then you can say that it sucks. There's a real fine line between a Sucky game, and an unwanted one.

  15. In my personal experience, it has to be GOW: Judgment. Got the game a week after it was released, and when I went into multiplayer and saw no COG VS Locust, I wanted to rip out the disk and throw it into the bottomless pit of Lucipher and wait until I heard the crunch and smash of it breaking on hell's floor. Not to mention the unneeded control changes, bland story with a boring ending, and a forgettable boss locust. (I think his name was Karn or something) I poured all my hatred into that one game, but on the bright side though I got Bioshock Infinite the same day (If I didn't, I would have had to jump out a window that week), and I regard that as one of the greatest games I've ever gotten to play, so I guess I pulled out a "NET 0" the day I got those games.
  16. Speaking of not being interested, I'm not interested in the consoles to begin with. Most of us get these consoles for the games that are on them. If a console has my favorite games, then in turn I want said console. The only thing PS4 had to offer me personally was Kingdom Hearts 3, and now that the series (KH3 at least) is not even exclusive to Sony and Nintendo anymore, well, they've strayed any chance of grabbing me. It's Halo that makes me return to the Xbox, but that's because of my interest in the series. Had Halo ever been exclusive to PS, then I would guess I'd be getting a PS4 instead of a XBONE next year. Also, since the other 3 games I'm extremely excited for aren't even exclusives for neither console (Star Wars Battlefront 3, KH3, Destiny) I can have all the games that I want on the XBONE. Hell, the only reason I would get a Product from Sony would be for the Last Of Us, and maybe any future God of War. It all matters about the games that me as the consumer wants, not the console I have to have to run it on.
  17. for me it was that, and that room where your shields get drained (plus with black eye they didn't come back) after pressing the two buttons. The covenant piled in, killed us multiple times to the point where we had to spawn camp them, and after all that, the last enemy (one General Elite) in the room punched me to death twice... Anger and Crying ensued... ...And then all my hate for that one Sanghelli went away when me and my friend gang banged him to death and broke his neck. But LASO is hard on any Halo Game so it's expected
  18. Try Requiem (Second Level on Halo 4) on LASO, It was possibly one of the Hardest experiences of my life and I was playing with a friend. >_<
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDa5l6p_SVA There you go, there's my thoughts on the Xbox One in a quick sixteen seconds...
  20. Master Chief, not knowing how to cope with his losses, has set out to see the planets of known space to have a long walk to think about everything that has transpired over the last year. On his journey he visits tatooine and it's large deserts and its vast amount of sand. While walking he finds a hut in the middle of no where and accidentally trips down the stairs going into the hut, falling on his face and cracking his visor. When he picks himself up there is an old man standing there and they talk for an hour or two. Then the planet quakes and trembles. The man said his name was Ben Kenobi and that they must fuse to take on the new threats to the universe. Master Chief agrees as he has nothing to lose. Master Chief takes off his armor and fuses with Ben by the potara earrings he keeps in case of an emergency. When they fuse they are now Jon-117 and he puts his armor back on, and puts ben's old cloak on to keep the sand from coming in the visor. They run outside and search for this planet shaking terror. They reach a spot and the metal begins clanking and rattling and clockwork from sly cooper holding the didact inside of him appears from the underground. Jon-117 looks at the old chip that used to hold Cortana. His emotions flow but he stops them knowing he has to kill the didact. He charges to jump on the beast... HALO 5 has begun! (not really) I was excited at E3 2011 when We first saw Halo 4, and I'm excited again. HERE WE GO!<br /> I wonder if they actually were going for destiny foolery, if they did I think it was pretty clever, but the flaw with it is that the guy that was talking right before the reveal said it was an xbox exclusive sooo... yea
  21. This is what happens when Ben Kenobi and John-117 Fuse into one being and try to take on the Didact in his new machine that looks like Clockwork from Sly Cooper. I was Excited after E3 2011, and I'm Excited again Today. Looks very cool.
