  1. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum. I know this isn't an "official" 343i forum, just a fan made community (correct me if I'm wrong), but I was apparently banned from the official Waypoint forums, and I'm not sure why... I am unable to post anything and unable to make any topics on there, the buttons to create new posts aren't there anymore. When I look at my Waypoint profile (click here to see my profile), it says this: So I took a look at the Halo Waypoint Forum Ban FAQ topic (here) and it says when you get banned: I was never "greeted" with the message they're talking about, and I don't have a message from a moderator saying why I was banned. I also never got an email or anything from them so I really have no clue whatsoever why I was banned, and like I said above, on my Waypoint profile it says I was suspended due to "other" until the year 2552 (Wtf? lol). Anyone here have any experiences like this? Has anyone here ever been unbanned from Waypoint? I would appreciate any advice. I'll stick around here though (I just found this forum). This forum seems a bit more mature and level-headed compared to the people on Waypoint anyways lol. Thanks!
  2. July 2014 (CE3 2014 Demo) March 2015 (Current Build) Before I get started, I want to say that past recruitment from this site has been great, with the help of talent we picked up here Installation 01 has gone from a concept build in July 2014 (CE3 2014) to the sexiness you see up above. (note: the BR is a placeholder model) We’ve been delayed by massive reworkings of the game itself for greater stability and modularity, critical elements in a community-oriented game. Being a fan team, we can’t make any money, not even from donations, so we are doing this in our spare time. Professionals, students, and passionate Halo fans coming together with whatever free hours they have. We are making something that we’ve craved for a long time, a full Halo game for PC, Linux, and Mac, boasting classic gameplay and game modes from multiple Halo titles, all bundled into a shiny package of modern graphics. Positions we need filled so this project moves faster: Programmers: • Proficient in C#. • Unity or other comparable game experience. • Capable of using Github. • Willingness to communicate well with our senior engineers. • A team player. Artists: -2D- • Knowledge of GIMP, Photoshop, or any other comparable 2D graphics program. Largely needed for UI and texture work. • Willing to work on assigned projects within their deadlines. (we aren’t super hardcore about this, but this is more about not signing up for anything you know you can’t finish on time). • Knowledge of 3D modeling is a plus, but not required. -3D- • Skills with any widely used 3D modeling software, such as Blender, Max, or Maya. Zbrush is also • welcomed. • Work within deadlines (once again, we don’t have a lot of deadlines, just know your limits) • Be comfortable with assigned tasks from senior modelers. • Doesn't matter if you prefer environmental, structural, or organic modeling, we need you. • Knowing how to texture models well is a plus, but is not required. Sound and recording: • Own/have constant access to professional sound equipment and software. • Have experience with sound design for games or professional videos. • Willingness to adapt to whatever is needed at the moment. (voice, gun shots, birdsong, etc.) If you wish to help out as any of those roles, just comment here about it and one of the team members will get back to you soon NOTE: We are abiding by Microsoft’s Fair Use Policy, hence why we cannot make any money off the project, and why we must build everything ourselves, we cannot distribute “rips” of any kind from any Halo game. This is a community project, there is no chance for profit, the only reward for our devs is that they have the satisfaction of making a small dream into reality. Thanks for reading, here’s some more eye candy:

  5. Hey forum, Executive producer Dan Ayoub has given us further information on Halo 3: ODST and the remastered 'Relic' map coming to the Master Chief Collection. 'Relic' was a well loved map from Halo 2, and ODST was an unforgettable game for many of us. 343 Industries are clearly working real hard to redeem theirselves. He says "our test and community teams have been running daily playtests on Relic to hammer on the map as much as possible." Sounds like 343 are putting in a lot of effort to bring us new content. There will be further details regarding launch dates as they begin finishing things up. Dan states that there is another content update coming in April. There has been a fairly recent update that has fixed up matchmaking, so players should no longer have problems connecting with each other online. There will be further updates to eliminate any remaining issues with the Master Chief Collection. Below are some new images released that show the Relic map, and a shot of Halo 3: ODST. Comparison between classic and remastered graphics Action on the remastered version of Relic The plaza from Halo 3: ODST in the Master Chief Collection What do you all think about these images? Are you looking forward to the major update? Leave your thoughts down below, thanks for reading. - Spartan Source: http://halo4nation.com/master-chief-collection/31315-master-chief-collection-update-dan-ayoub/
  6. I am the leader of the Halo Clan UNSC Angel of Death. So, Why Choose Us? We take what's best about the gaming community groups and clans and mix them together to make the best gaming environment possible. Gaming communities are fun but don't help develop you into a better player. Clans often are so regulated and strict that they take the fun out of gaming. Here we play with the same desire to win without having to deal with military ranks. You don't have to be a certain rank to help improve things. Every idea is talked about between clan leaders. If this is something you think you'd like message me gt TheDarkFissure on xbox. Visit our facebook page, youtube channel, and twitch channel. www.unscangelofdeath.weebly.com

  15. So if you could have one of any weapons in the Halo Universe, which one would you have and why? I would have the Energy Sword because imagine having a blue sword of pure energy that activates at the click of a button?
  16. Would anyone be up for a community Halo Event? I'll set up a poll

  18. I bought an XBox One over the weekend. I got the "Halo: Master Chief Collection" bundle from Walmart. Right now this is the only game I'm interested in playing. It's how I keep in touch with friends from back home. You'll understand my disappointment when I found that the game's online multiplayer works about as good as a screen door on a submarine. I can't join an in-game group with my friend. Neither of us can successfully join a multiplayer session. All my network settings are correct. My internet is plenty fast. Shame on me for not researching the game before I purchased it. I guess I figured I could trust the "HALO" name. Woops. I tried contacting Microsoft. The illustrious "Erl" told me he couldn't help, and that my only option is posting on this forum. So here I am. In conclusion, I'm super glad I bought something that doesn't work.
  19. I thought they could bring firefight back, with some new modes. There could be brutes, grunts, jackals, maybe storm elites, flood, and promethean knights, crawlers, and watchers. So what do you think?
  20. What? Halo Master Chief Collection When? February 28th at 6 p.m. US eastern time Who's Hosting? Fox McCloud (Gamertag: Yur Teamate) Welcome everybody. 22. Which one do you prefer, Carbine or Battle Rifle? Before you go on saying that the BR is OP, think about it. The Carbine has a faster rate of fire and I think more shots, considering the BR is a 3-round burst. I preferthe Carbine because you can use it against Brutes, Grunts, and everybody, though it's not that good against the Flood.
  23. So, the Halo Reach Map Packs that come with CEA. I think the Map Packs that come with CEA are cool because they provide a new style and open difference betwit requires more skill to stay alive. The difference between the two graphics aren't to noticable, and after continously playing the same maps, it's nice to getso e new maps to use. So what are your thoughts?
  24. What's your favorite mission? Mine's Nightfall because you have a sort of sneaky, stealthy gameplay with a sniper and it's dark. Also, the Guta/Mule monster things are cool and it's fun to snipe.
