  1. When you said Cortana isn't important to the player, that's a generalization. She's helpful and has a charning personality (playful and flirty). Lasky does respect Chief as a war veteran. Rio does not, but that's because he's supposed to be a *********-type character. The Forerunners were kept mysterious throughout previous games, but that's a good thing for Halo 4, at least in my opinion. After all this time learning about their vague history and technology, the face of a Forerunner is finally revealed for the first time. 343i wasn't trying to make Halo 4 a personal story, they were just trying to bring more focus to the relationship of Chief and Cortana. Now that I stated all your flaws, I'm done here. Goodbye.
  2. While it would take more time/effort to add in new vehicles, enemies, etc, it would be totally worth it, and more people would be willing to pay for it.
  3. Vehicles should be strictly first person to add challenge (situational awareness/teamwork) and fun (every bump feels bigger and it creates a more immersive experience). Wraiths, banshees, etc have view screens. This would be a good step in balancing infantry and vehicles. Dual wielding should return, as well as AAs. Invasion, Assault, Juggernaut, Territories, VIP, and Race would need to return. Custom games should be the most customizable experience ever to make up for Halo 4. It would include all the old options, a weapon tweaking tool to balance the weapons to your liking in the game, and many new ones. An NPC ally command system would be awesome for campaign (and firefight, if it returns). Players should be able to set up bots for custom games for practice, filling up spots, and to give players without XBL or Internet something to do besides campaign. Brutes, Elites, ODSTs, Flood Combat Forms, and Prometheans should be playable in multiplayer with minor gameplay differences.
  4. People hate MLG at times because of the majority of people who play it. A lot of people who play MLG can be arrogant ******bags who like to spoil the fun of people who aren't tryhards and just want to enjoy the game with their friends. Some join custom games for the sole purpose of ******** people off. Why there are some nice MLG players, not all have encountered that many.
  5. Definitely missing the falcon. I loved it's helicopter-like design.
  6. The Covenant already have two CQC weapons, that's enough. You could always create a needle shotgun in Halo Custom Edition if you want one that bad.
  7. It's fine being weaker than it was in Reach. It is a sidearm after all, and I'm glad 343i emphasised on that fact.
  8. The AR is the only automatic weapon I can use properly, so I'm fine with it. The Carbine just doesn't have a powerful feel to it like the DMR or AR has, so I don't feel as powerful as a player. It's some weird psychological effect that some other weapons have but the Carbine lacks.
  9. For Halo 5, they need more accurate Assault Rifles like the MA5C that was in Halo 3 (I don't know about a damage boost, for the BR has been reduced to a 5sk). Then they could have the SMG which would play like it did in Halo 3 or like the Halo 4 AR. The SMG would have less accuracy, range, and damage than the AR, but would make up for it with a much larger clip and faster rate of fire. I just miss the more accurate AR and the SMG, because we haven't seen them since Halo 3 . Also, maybe if we select "None" in the armor ability slot in the loadout, we are able to dual wield (dual wield wouldn't be an AA because it would be retarded if the meter runs out and we just drop our second weapon for no reason).
  10. Plasma Rifle, as it is the most accurate out of the three. That's one reason I LOVE the MA5C ICWS in Halo 3.
  11. If anything, the CQC power weapons in Reach were far to easy to use. I still prefer the shotgun over the scattershot because of two things: its consistency and feel. If I feel like I a beast, I will play like a beast. It's a weird psychological thing that really affects how well I do in battle. That's the main reason why I can't get a grip on the Carbine or Light Rifle. They just don't feel/sound as strong as the BR, DMR, and AR to me.
  12. Both. DMR for longer range, BR for closer range.
  13. The AR's not overpowered. It has tons of bloom, lacks the range and accuracy of precision weapons, and only kills fast when each bullet makes a hit on the target, which takes quite some skill to use. It must be burst fired to gain better accuracy at mid range, and must be continuously fired at close range. People only die to the AR because the AR user is better then they are.
  14. Considering the DMR has the most aim assist and range, I think it should fire the slowest of any primary rifle. This would make it the most superior at long range.
  15. Mine are the Halo Reach Energy Sword and the Halo 3 SMG. I liked the appearance of the Reach Energy Sword and for some reason it was the most fun to sword fight with (sword fighting is my favorite thing to do in Halo). The Halo 3 SMG seemed to feel the most balanced and fun to use. I liked it's rate of fire, ammo capacity, large reticule, dual wield capabilities, and it felt nice to control the recoil.
  16. The way I see it: Don't want to get yoinked? Don't assassinate. Just beat down.
  17. It really has to be nerfed. I'm not even a competitive player and I still believe those. The damage should stay as it is or else what's the point? I believe the charge time must be twice as long and it must take uo a whole clip when charged. I feel the charge time is WAYYY to short for an instant kill. Some may think the charge time being doubled will make it hard to use, but any 1sk starter weapon should be like that.
  18. Cool, I love flood maps! Definitely playing this on one of my game nights.
  19. While they initially said that there won't be flood, quite a large of people are demanding more variety in Spartan Ops. Flood would definitely add to that variety. Besides, the whole Halloween special (if they had one) would not have to be canon, as it the flood would just come back for that month and are defeated again in the same month without doing any significant damage. Thus it's like they never came back in the first place. Some Brutes and Drones may have survived that huge battle, just not many. I would love it if 343i back cause while Brutes aren't my favorite enemy, it would be nice to see them. Also, thanks for the compliments guys
  20. Hey, I'm new to these forums and I'd like to give my suggestions and ideas toward the future of Spartan Ops. Season 1 was an alright start, but for Season 2 and onward we need a big makeover. New Enemies I want more variety with our foes. Some older enemies can return (Brutes, Drones, etc), and some newer ones can be designed. The Brutes should me more aggressive and beefier than the Elites, but less accurate and strafe/dodge less often. They could replace Elites for some chapters, and while it may not seem like it would work story-wise, there's definitely a way to include them. I believe Drones should appear in panicky times, sort of like in Mission 2 of Halo 3. Maybe one future season of Spartan Ops can have a 2-4 week halloween special with the flood temporarily returning and the Spartan-IVs defeating them. They would be accidentally uncovered in a broken down forerunner facility like the Gas Mine in Halo 2. Then they would spread through several areas encountered earlier in the season and turn them into rotting wastelands. For original enemies, I have one particular idea in mind. It is a gigantic reptilian beast that would fights similar to how the Flood Juggernaut would've in Halo 2 and the big native creatures in Halo Reach did (forgot what they were called). The Reptilian creature would use its incredibly long tail as a third limb and would swing it at players. When a bit far away, it would go on four legs and charge. It would also use scenery objects like covenant crates to throw at the player. Puzzles I think they're should be puzzles (simple or complex) in some missions of Spartan Ops. Think of the Half-life series or even platformers. My ideas include sections where you have to use a crane and simple switch puzzles. Gimmicks Some missions should have gimmicks. How about one where you and your friends get to pilot these miniature scarab-like tanks that have the width and length of a wraith but are twice as tall because of their legs. They could fire two long beam-like plasma mortars or simple plasma fire similar to that of the ghosts. How about one similar to Assault where Crimson has to arm and detonate a bomb at a Covie base. The player holding the bomb can only melee and moves slower as well which means that the other three players would have to defend him/her. How bout a sea vehicle mission where you drive these motorbpats with chainguns and you take down covenant sea vehicles. What about an escort mission with scientists and at least one must survive. Another idea of mine is one like GoW's horde where you must build up defenses and fight waves of enemies. You could call in reinforcements, weapons, vehicles, and air support. They could also have a Pelican or Broadsword mission. I also want to see one where Crimson is going to and they have thruster pack (in the beginning it would work like an unlimited Jet Pack because they'd be in space). They would also have avoid asteroids moving toward them and fight off Elite Rangers. My last idea is a sequence in one chapter where one player would have to take control of a MAC while the rest of the team fights off enemy forces on the ground. Story I want longer CG episodes, around 10-15 minutes. Characters I believe Fireteam Majestic and Sarah Palmer (if she's still alive by then) should appear as allies in gameplay). Maybe it could work as another gimmick where they need to be kept alive. If they're damaged to much, they fall to the ground and need to be revived in a time limit (30 seconds to a minute probably) or else the mission is failed. Since the Arbiter is going to appear in Spartan Ops in the future, he and his Elites should be in gameplay as well. Replayability Let's say you're not playing Spartan Ops on matchmaking because you just want to have a new, fun experience with friends. Players should be allowed to activate skulls, change the amount of lives, and edit traits. In Matchmaking, they're should be a "par", which would be an amount of time in which you're trying to complete the mission under. If the completed mission's time is under the par, you get extra XP. I know all these new features would add time to Season 2 and onward's development, but it would be totally worth it. If any of you guys have more ideas/suggestions, I'd like to hear your creativity.
  21. I rarely have lag problems. But it would still be nice to have dedicated servers or even better, custom playlists where you make up a list of possible maps and gametypes, and set their priority to decide how common each gametype or map is, so necessarily it's like a dedicated server with many games going on at once.
  22. Here's how I see it: 1) For one of the weekly title updates, 343i should add more customization to game variants, so people can turn the killcam off or on, make it so the flag can be dropped, disable default sprint, and most importantly, change flood loadouts to give them different weapons. 2) Flood should have another game variant where the Flood can use weapons and can jump higher, however, the damage they do with the weapons is less than the Spartans. They'd be similar to the Flood in Halo 3. 3) The Flood need to have growling or roaring sounds rather than the annoying horse-like sounds. They drive me crazy!
  23. They need to make Flood more customizable so players can change the loadouts of the Flood and change their weapons. They need to add scoring in Spartan-Ops to make it more competitive. They need to have Rumble Pit, Team Doubles, Multi Team, Team Objective, and Action Sack. They need to add more game variants in each matchmaking playlist to spice things up.
