  1. To keep secret from family members? Well not my business I suppose... But yeah if you could just reword the last sentence I'll try to figure out what you meant.
  2. Directly from Total War.com The Seleucids “Tolerance, diversity, strength” Although eventually embracing many eastern customs, the Seleucids are renowned for their city building and civil engineering, driving Greek colonisation and Hellenization. Furnished with expert cavalry, including cataphracts, horse skirmishers and war elephants, Seleucid armies also sport a solid core of excellent spear and pike infantry provided by a growing number of Greek-speaking colonists. As the campaign begins, such measures are a necessity when faced with the continuing threat from their Ptolemaic Egyptian neighbours and upheaval among the Seleucid's satrapies. Ever the opportunists however, the Seleucid kings may yet turn the tables, bringing much of Alexander’s former western empire under their sway. Founded by Seleucus Nicator, or Seleucus the Victor, at its height the vast Seleucid Empire stretched from western Anatolia as far east as the Indus River. During the turmoil of the Wars of the Successors, the Seleucids were able to claim and expand Alexander the Great’s eastern empire, as well as parts of Asia Minor. Seleucus sealed his overall victory at the Battle of Ipsus in 301 BC. Fielding 500 war elephants, gained through negotiating peace on his eastern border with the Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, his forces proved decisive. The territory under his control contained a diverse range of eastern subcultures, which rapidly became Hellenized by the ruling Macedonian elite and a flood of Greek settlers. Despite a sometimes precarious position at home, the Seleucids now plan to expand. But where? Into Ptolemaic Egypt? Or beyond, to Alexander’s former western empire in Greece and Macedon? Influenced by their cultural assimilation of eastern culture, The Seleucids have little tolerance for the concept and practice of slavery. As a heavily multicultural society, they also suffer less from public order issues arising from foreign cultures entering their territories. In battle, the Seleucids have access to a wide-ranging roster; as such, they can field capable, balanced and incredibly diverse armies and navies. So, this is a perfect example of what a DLC should be. In this case it adds a playable faction to the campaign, but this faction was already available at launch for Rome: Total War. Thus, instead of making us spend more money for a faction we could already play, Creative Assembly decided to sell this DLC for free; while the Greek States Culture Pack, complete of 3 different factions for the Campaign which weren't playable in the previous chapter, is available only if you pre-order the game. Good guys Creative Assembly.
  3. Yes, it does. I mean, I preordered it because it was worth it, three DLCs (and I found all of them good) plus Season 1 of S-Ops (which turned out to be the only one, luckily) and a bunch of other things. It was a good deal. But...why would you make a more expensive edition if later you're gonna give everything for the same price? Okay, it was a year ago (God, can you understand that? A year already...seems like yesterday), but the Campaign and multiplayer was there and you could play it even without the LE... and equal entertainment.
  4. My Lost Planet 2 disc has a crack too, but it doesn't touch the disc where it is readable, and it works just fine. I'm sorry but that's not a problem of the 360; you'll have to change the disk (or repair it, but a new disk should last longer).
  5. Yes, that was a huge deal. Great game. Maybe not everybody bought the LE, and maybe someone didn't buy the DLCs. Or maybe you just wanna trade in your copy for the GOTY, who knows. I think they made a good decision.
  6. Ah yeah, that's one of my top ten Halo maps. Well I play Halo4, but just the Campaign. Though I surely prefer playing Halo 4 multy instead of Reach's. Far better.
  7. Yeah Vertigo. Is Vortex another map or is it just my imagination?
  8. I still haven't bought it, and for what I can read on here and for the rare occasions when I play Halo 4 multy I won't buy it. Yes, for what I've seen, it's good to have the Mk. V back, finally they remembered ODSTs exist, but that Prefect Armor... is indifferent to me. Pitfall, it's great to have The Pit back. Vortex, I don't know. I'll wait for the Firefight DLC. This way I'll save up money for the next Halo.
  9. Not at all surprised... Well, maybe a little Our site has truly grown, for we now have two Moderators! Back to the Two Towers! You know I always admired you, and I always will. I don't appreciate your work, I don't like it, I simply ADMIRE it. You have the Power of Words in your mouth (or in your hands), everything I'd like to say, you say it better, much better. Even this congratulations post, you can do it much better than what I'm doing right now! You were great as Community Mod and nobody will make me believe you won't be a great Moderator. Congratulations man, you know we all believe you deserve it. And now... the artifact that has passed through generatons and generations of Moderators, the most powerful instrument a man can wield; its mighty power banished countless hordes of trolls. You might have already wielded it, but now you can use its true power.
  10. Ook, just found a Destiny reference in Halo 3 ODST. There's no sign of it on Halo Wiki nor on Halo Nation.

It's the HALO wiki. Not Destiny.

I'm getting sick f seeing it everywhere, I like knowing there's at least one place I can go for only Halo.

You don't say? But it is an Easter Egg in a Halo game.

Also, it is on Halopedia. It's the last sentence in the trivia section. Sure I must've been drunk to miss it.

  11. Pffft, what? I still haven't finished exploring Skyrim, nor Oblivion. There's enough in these games to keep me busy for a couple years, and I should spend $50 a month for it? Get your ideas together, Bethesda. You're not on the right track.
  12. Second one. And probably the other reason is that later they'll make the Xbox require Kinect to function because "you already have it, why not?".
  13. Of course it will always be with the Xbox. However, this doesn't mean, luckily, that Xbox will require Kinect to function. Yet.
  14. Aliens spying us. Why? There's no other advanced life in our Solar System. We can't even imagine to travel beyond it as for now. Do you really think a super-advanced space-faring race would travel so far just to spy us? We? Who are we? A bunch of idiots that think travelling to Moon is a great journey. Please, there's no alien in Area 51, it's just another American secret base. By the way, Indipendece Day is a great movie.
  15. I can't remember the first game I ever played, but it certainly was on PC. W95. Until 6 years old, I played on PC. But then my brothers bought an Xbox, beautiful, black Xbox, with Dead or Alive 3. MY first game. Then a hundred of demos, I really LOVED to play them. I don't know why, they were special. But then, Halo: Combat Evolved. Man, I swear I've passed so much time in the menu looking at that wonderful thing hanging out in space, with that...spectacular, astonishing music in the background. Ah. What then? Let's just say I now have got about 80 games for the 360, and I sold a dozen more. Gaming is my life. I also have a DSlite, but....meh.
  16. Right now the Halo 4 and Halo Universe section is full of topics with 1-3 replies, arguing about why "X" sucks, why "X" ruined "Y", "Ideas for..." (some of which are good but unlikely to happen), and generally people bitching about multiplayer. God, I miss the discussions about the history of Forerunners and the Halo lore.

Well all everyone wants to write Topics about nowadays are all about Wishlists and what not. I would also love some good insight and discussion at least once in a while.

Yeah but the problem is 343i ruined Halo and CoD sucks.

  17. I don't think so. They haven't delayed it in America. Sorry to hear that Skumm, I understand your feelings. Here in Italy we can't participate to any Halo tournament or championship they've made so far, nor we can have prizes from Xbox.
  18. I think that the composer is not O'Donnell anymore, and I liked the old one way, way more than this one. Yet O'Donnell works for Bungie, and Davidge works for 343i. Let's hope Neil will look back for the next games.
  19. Well, Mayh3m, I always considered you one of the most constant Mods here, no kidding. Always active, always friendly, I've always admired your work. It saddens me deep seeing you no more in this, another pillar is leaving. I'm not very active right now in this forum, I never participate a playdate, but I can remember some of the past days. You'll always have my respect, you were probably the kindest Community Mod here. When Victory tried to do that MoM thing (which is still running by the way), out of all Europeans mods I chose you. So, thank you for your work. See you on the forums, friend.
  20. Well, you just don't start another Xbox without a Halo exclusive. I'm 100% sure Halo will be exclusive.
  21. It's funny because I'm playing the Campaign right now after, let's say, a year or less. The problem is that when I play a Bungie's Halo, any of them, there is this...feeling, I don't know how can I describe it, it's a particular feeling, that I don't really feel when I play Halo 4. I mean the weapons in Halo 4 are unmatched, the sound is perfect, but the story is kinda boring. Let's analise Shutdown: the background is amazing, you feel abandoned by everyone, you're on your own, the premise is really good, you're flying a Pelican dang! The dream has come true! But then, the mission is repetitive, you fly around with no enemies to kill, just a bunch of Phantoms (which explosion is awkward), you go there, push a button, you go to the other side, boring, do the same thing, then you fly to another tower, kill some enemies, push a button. That's it. The Pelican is useless. While in ODST...man, you don't get bored easily. There's no button to push, you fight side by side with Marines and your mates, and the music, I swear I could listen to it all day and all night...ah, I'm sorry but there's no doubt, ODST is better.
  22. Street Fighter saga, but I used to rage quit so often I decided to stop playing it, DOA saga, Soul Calibur is funny, I love every character, Marvel vs Capcom 2-3, this being probably my favourite fighting game.
  23. You're* Spartan IV are better trained Marines/ODSTs with better armor. The name Spartan is misleading, they're dumb and weak. "The best of the best", yet they died for a Pelican crash. Jeez, they're tough! Chief crashed to the ground from 4km in the atmosphere, but he couldn't stand a fight with them, granted!
  24. Yes, but only a week before Halo 5 comes out and it'll be used. Or, if the price is fair enough, I'll buy the Halo 5 edition if they'll make it.
