Anyone else planning on keeping their XBOX 360 after getting XBOX One?

I'm planning on keeping mine even after I get my XBOX One. I'm a late convert to XBOX 360, I used to be a Playstation fan, and there are a lot of games on XBOX 360 I will no doubt still enjoy playing after I get an XBOX One.

Plus Microsoft plans to continue support for XBOX 360 for the nexr few years, so the console still has some life in it. So I've got plenty of time to enjoy my XBOX 360. I'll still be able to play HALO Reach and Combat Evolved Anniversary even after I get HALO 5.

I am still hopeful that backwards compatability will be worked out in some fashion, either as a peripheral or in the form of XBOX Live downloads.

I was getting a Xbox one at launch but after all this DRM stuff and all of there launch games look terrible I pre ordered a PlayStation 4 but am keeping my 360.

I had issue with that myself, but someone at Microsoft was listening and I have been very impressed with how responsive they've been. That was a major factor in my decision to opt for Xbox One over PS 4. Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are looking good and Halo 5 is coming so there are some good exclusives coming to Xbox One.

I keep every console I ever buy. I still own every single game and console I ever have gotten, in fact I even have the receipts, boxes, cases, manuals, pamphlets and accessories of each game and device/console.

How far back does your collection go? Are we talking NES?

Yes, especially since they are not allowing you to play past games on xbox one only makes sense to keep the old system so I can still go back to games if I choose.

And like BZ said I've only had my xbox 360 for 1 year and 1/2. So I'm just breaking her in.

No, Sadly... It only goes back to the N64 and Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Etc. And all the generations of consoles released after. I am not a collector so my collection is nothing to brag about, in-fact it isn't even that impressive, but it is something that makes me proud to look at, and I enjoyed purchasing each one, playing on them, and building memories and other sentimental values with each game/consle/device.

Well since the One can't play 360 games I will no doubt be keeping my 360. I just hope that my gamertag can be transferred back and forth with ease. If not then I still need a lot of games left to finish.

Absolutely not. I still have my Nintendo 64 and Gamecube even though I have a Wii, so why would I get rid of my 360 if it's outclassed by a more powerful console? It's got backwards compatibility and memories on there. :D
