  1. So, some context: I've been a halo fan from the get-go. By and large, the first two games were my favorite- but ultimately, nothing surpasses that first feeling of being alone, meeting the flood, and overcoming enormous odds in an alien environment. So, one day I was reminiscing, when I thought aloud: I wish I could go back to that place. What would it take to go back? So here it is: let's say that during the timeline of Halo CE, we took the perspective of a marine. Let's say that this marine was injured, and the sole survivor of an early battle with the Covenant after landing on Installation 4. The Chief and remaining marines are long since moved-on and it's just you, this alien world, and ALL OF THE CRAP that's unleashed during MC's journey. -So for starters, let's make the Halo ring an open world. FINALLY -Now, let's make it an almost Tomb-Raider style survival. -Explore and discover ancient forerunner technology to help you survive -Engage in guerrilla tactics on Covenant forces. It's legendary mode, all day- you're mortal, unlike the MC. -Utilize ancient tech to prevent infection by and defeat the flood in ridiculously awesome ways -Have parallel encounters with the MC and perhaps save his life, all unbeknownst to him -Survive or die in the destruction of the ring: different ending outcomes. -FINALLY EXPLAIN HOW SERGEANT JOHNSON LIVES So, send this proposal to the 343 dev team, what do you say?
  2. Halo-ween Name Change Contest Last year at this time I launched an event that made the forums so scary that Twam nearly crapped himself. (True story) So in the spirit of Halo-ween which falls just four days after the launch of Halo 5... I will be asking that you all change your names to something spooky again! These names can be scary, cheesy, or for those that don't have Halo-ween just fall themed. They should rhyme with your name but if you are blessed like me you will find that there isn't much to work with, make it scary make it fun. Drizzy made me promise we wouldn't tepee his house so lets not do that (later is okay). ~ Conan O Brainsss

  4. Flood: Rising On a cold, spooky evening, three kids: John, Scott, and Sammy, were on a stroll, when they spotted a facility hidden in the woods. "Hey, you wanna go check that out?", asked Scott. "Are you kidding?", exclaimed Sammy, "it's probably hidden for a reason". Without an answer, Scott raced towards the structure. "What were you thinking Scott, we could get in real trouble!", said John. "Place looks empty to me", replied Scott. "I say now that were here, we might as well see what's going on". After walking through the halls for a while, they heard a clank across the room. "What was that?", asked Sammy, startled. "Maybe there's some workers that can help us out", said John. "Let's go check it out". As they got closer to the corner, they heard an ear piercing shriek. "What was that!", screamed Scott. As they started to run back, out came a crazy monster: human size, but it looked green, infected, slimy, and almost zombie like. "WHAT IS THAT!!", shrieked Sammy. They ran for their lives, but the monster was catching up. As soon as they turned the corner, they ran into a Spartan in full Recon armor. When the monster reached them, the Spartan blasted his shotgun straight into the creature's face, killing it as it hit the floor. "Wh-wh-who are you?", asked Sammy. "I am James Carter, Spartan from fireteam Alpha at ONI. As far as I know, I am the last living Spartan in this area", he said. "what was that thing?", asked John. "That", exclaimed Carter, "Was a Flood". "What's a Flood?", asked Scott. "I'm not supposed to be saying this, but considering we're the only living people here, I guess I can" said Carter. "A few months ago, the famous scientist Doctor, Kevin Halsey, husband of Catherine Halsey, was conducting an experiment to give humans improved athletic abilities. The experiment, working on a rat, was later conducted on a human, but what Dr. Halsey didn't realize was that the chemicals infected the rat and was mutated into a horrible creature. Dr. Halsey realized to late, and the same happened to the human, who terrorized the facility, infecting whoever it injured, turning them into Flood. Dr. Halsey's current status is unknown." Just then two more Alpha Flood came charging at them. Carter killed the first one, slamming to the floor, but the second one tackled him. Battling to not get infected, Carter struggled, almost getting sliced, but a shotgun blast blew the Flood's head, falling lifeless to the floor. Scott was holding Carter's shotgun, stunned at what he had just done. "Nice shot",said Carter, taking back his shotgun, "here, you'll need some protection". He handed each of them a Magnum, and together they got outside the facility. "So what now?" asked John. "Well", answered Carter, "Looks like we're going to have to fight our way through this one".

  8. I have an Idea of an Armor set for Halo 4. Its called "Haloween Armor". It would be a perfect amount of lights on the wrists, helmet, legs, torso, and shoulder pads.......and cape. It should have a real time reacting cape. The cape would show your emblem and you get to pick the design of the cape as well. Bullets would make holes in the cape. And it should be free and be released on Halloween of course. Please 343 Industries, make this happen. This will be the best armor ever.

(It needs random ordinance - I prefer Thanatophobia (in my fileshare)) http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/king%20andrew%201st/halo4/fileshare#!/?section=GameSettings&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&startIndex=0&details=ef82f7ad-95e5-4170-a1c3-e905c5b6e7f4 Description: You spawn in trucks on the edge of an island. You are surrounded by tall rock faces and are unable to escape so you must holdout for as long as possible. In the slender game type you have 1 life and the Slender man has to try and find and kill everyone (its really scary). In normal flood game types you get random ordinance drops from Infinity to try to help you to survive. You can get Assault Rifles, Shotguns or Sticky Detonators. Recommended for 8-14 players. They turned into the flood and began killing everything in the compound, after a few hours no-one was left alive. So, many years after the incident a team a UNSC Spartans were sent to the underground compound to investigate why their had been no communication from the compound to the outside world for months. The Spartans found.........Play the map to find out! This map includes very well crafted sight lines and is extremely fun to play with friends. The atmosphere of the map is very intimidating and makes you think what has happened to the compound. Also, this map has great aesthetics and good dynamic lighting. 13. Gamertag : Suryantoko Map : The FALLING FLOOD! Gametype : FALLING FLOOD! Recommended Player Count : 8 - 16 THIS FLOOD MAP IS LIKE NO OTHER, most flood maps have a 'head 2 head hide in a building to survive' infection map. But this is different. FALLING FLOOD takes place in the Ravine of the map Ravine. Flood have to parkour their way down the Ravine and tactically kill the Spartans from above. Kind of like Ezio going for an assassination. Spartans spawn on the bottom of the Ravine and try to survive while Flood try to mutilate them above. The game is in 3 levels, Flood have access to 3 teleporters, which will spawn according to when the next level is ready for Spartans. Each teleporter sends you to different spots in the level. E.g teleporter one will send you to 3 spots on level one and Flood make theyre way down from there and so on for the next 2 levels. Each level the Spartans will have to hold the area until a passage or teleporter will spawn. WATCH ABOVE SPARTANS, FLOOD KILL THEM FROM ABOVE!
  14. General Info: Assassin is a custom flood game type I created in Halo: Reach. The general basis was that there was an assassin loosed onto a map (the flood) and his goal is to assassinate the other players. Then the other players, usually guards or some kind of authority (the survivors) have to find and eliminate the assassin, or simply try to survive. The players start out with machine guns and pistols, no equipment, and with all of their other stats normal. The assassin starts out with the energy sword (in reach he'd also have a pistol with limited ammo) and he gets to choose from the three starting equipments; Vision, Camo or the Thruster pack. He also has low defenses, but he is quicker and hits harder. All of the players, including the assassin, also have no radar, so you never know where each other will be. Stealth is highly encouraged when playing as the assassin, as trying to take on all of the survivors head on would end in a quick death. This was greatly inspired by games such as Dishonored and Splinter Cell. Maps: Currently, I have two maps made for this game in Halo 4. Hellridge Prison: This was the first map I made in Halo 4, actually. The story goes that the assassin was captured and thrown in prison, and he has to escape (pretty straightforward, if you ask me). There are several ways for the assassin to get around the map, such as pipes own the ceiling, vents, and even hiding in the walls. The guards have to patrol the prison to find the escaped assassin and kill him. "It's us or him" basically. If the assassin manages to kill all but one of the players, then the last man standing gets the ability to either grab the machine gun, or pilot the Mantis in the left wing of the prison. Both have the ability to finish of the assassin very quickly, but the player loses mobility because of it. I added many aesthetics to this map, such as bars for the prison cells, a shower, red blinking lights to show the prison is in lock-down, and a guard station. Also, all of the secret entrances for assassins can be seen as they are closed using pallets (guards have 0 melee damage so they can't break them down and get into the vents and such). Pictures: coming soon Corporate: The second map I made for Assassin. (I'm not really sure what the story is for this, I just figured the people in the building have a bounty on their heads.) In Corporate, the assassin starts off outside and the other players are inside a building that they can't leave. The assassin has multiple approaches in this map (I tried to expand on the ways he can get around) but its mostly under the floor boards, in the walls and in the ceilings. On the first floor is a broken elevator shaft, a reception desk, and a hanging chandelier. On the second floor lies cubicles and a table with their respective chairs. Then on the third floor sits a mantis for the last man standing to utilize if need be. And throughout almost every wall are passages for the assassin to stalk his prey. Pictures: coming soon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you guys want to download these maps and the Assassin game type, they can be found in my file share: Soul DestroyerX. However, even though these maps worked out and played well, there were a few bugs that needed fixing (I actually fixed Hellridge Prison's bugs, but my Xbox live is being poop so I can't upload it). Just letting you guys know. I'll be uploading the V2's of these maps once I get the chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: Hellridge Prison is now finished. 15. Gamertag: DoctorB77 Map: Stand Gametype: Slender Description of Map: The map impact is designed as an abandoned military space station. Many of you might have played slender before on the PC. Now he is in space along with you survivors. The map is divided into 4 main sections. The spawning point consists of two corridor pieces and a view barriers. The survivors spawn here and have the choice to go right or left. If they choose right they will find themselves in a rocky and natural area which is much less explored by the military which ran the space station. There are many rocks along with many crates and barriers littered across the land. If they would have chosen left off of the spawn they would find themselves in a more base like design. In this section there are many places to hide such as among the silos or the house. While this is the place that is ideal for hiding there is no way escape if you are found due to the fact that the only way out would be between you and the slenderman. In the back of the map there is the tunnel and the back alley. The slenderman spawns in the tunnel and the back alley contains a hiding spot that can be good or bad depending on how it is used. The back alley also connects the natural side and the base side of the map together to form a complete circle. Description of Game: This game can be described as suspenseful, scary, thrilling, and a lot of fun. It is best experienced in the dark with a headset on. If you are really going to try and scare yourself turn on some creepy music The humans and slenderman walk at 90% and the humans have the ability to sprint short distances. Among the map are pallets that can be broken and be strategically used to avoid dying. The slenderman is invisible at all times and you can tell if he is nearby from the sounds that the flood make. In the game the map is full of shadows that build the suspense even more. (These shadows are not seen in theater mode). You can not jump and most importantly you must know that YOU CAN NOT KILL THE SLENDERMAN! The goal is survival. Just like the real game. This game makes for great reactions. I have had people scream and cry in this game and I, even though be the maker of the game, have been scared out of my mind as well. Below is a group of pictures I took of a game that me and a few people on the forum played. I again apologize for the shadows and special fx not showing. I hope to get some great gameplay soon and post it hear for you all to see. I put them in a spoiler to make everything in the OP more compact.
