  8. On Monday there will be changes in the multiplayer game types Oddball and King of the hill. Read below for more details Source: OXM Dislike dying in multiplayer shooters? 10. There have been talks discussing what halo 5's story will be, obviously they aren't going to into all details about it yet but some interesting things have been discussed about the next story and also about it being on the next gen console. Read the article below for more details. Credit to Lil Dog for finding this. Source: Examiner "Halo 4" brought Master Chief back in a fitting way this holiday season, but this is only the beginning for what's still to come from the series and on next-generation systems. According to a report from Product Reviews on Thursday, apparently people are in favor of seeing the next few installments on next-generation platforms. "We could simply see 'Halo 4': Next-gen land with improved graphics for the Xbox 720 at an event next year, but we’d favor something totally new in the form of 'Halo 5' with some major improvements in physics and graphics, which would be the bonus for the second and third games in this trilogy if they launch on the Xbox 720. "If 'Halo 5' hasn’t been worked on this year then launching it next year might bring something with limited work done, so again this is why we’d prefer to see a 'Halo 5' more thought-out with a release date in 2014 on the next-gen Xbox," the report stated. It went on to discuss how the next installment of the series could perhaps explain more about how Master Chief came to be. "Some of the ideas we’ve seen for the 'Halo 5' story include the possibility of an episode in the theme of “Search for Spock“, which could see Master Chief leave Earth looking for Cortana, although we also hear that a lot of fans want to see how the Spartans were created and how they were broke to make them a Spartan. "This would also deliver a lot more insight into how MC had been created, and what process he had to go through," the report stated. View full article

  12. So, I am having this issue as are many others as described on Halo Waypoint, and nobody is acknowledging this issue. https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst130327_HALO-4-Sound-Problems-during-Cutscene-s.aspx Cutscene Sound Issue - During cutscenes, sound effects including music, ambient noise, and general sound effects sound muffled, like a low bitrate music file. - Dialogue and vocals tend to be unaffected. They play at lossless quality. - In game sound effects are unaffected. - Prerendered cutscene sound effects are unaffected. - In game engine cutscene sound effects are the only ones experiencing low bitrate qualities. This is a summary of the issue. I experienced the issue during ingame cutscenes with many sound effects and music tracks sounding muffled and like I was listening underwater, while the dialogue was crisp. The game itself had no issues but any time a cutscene occurred with the ingame graphics engine, everything sounded extremely low-fi. I am using an optical cable on a 250gb slim 360 with a Sony 5.1 receiver. I attempted with the game running from disc, installed to the hard drive, multiple reboots and experienced this from start to end in the campaign. This is not a minor issue as 343 advertised their sound production was going to be phenomenal, but I may as well have only had one speaker for these cutscenes because that's the sound quality I was given. Were the wrong files for the surround mix included on the disc? Is a patch in the works? Instead of enjoying the cutscenes, I could only cringe at the sound quality. Any and all information on this glaring issue would be very much appreciated.

  14. FOUND AT EGMNOW Microsoft is looking for a graphics developer to work on the “next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe,” at 343 Industries. The job ad on Microsoft’s careers site reads: “Microsoft Studios 343 Industries is looking for an experienced graphics developer to help create the current and next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe. Work on one of the most exciting and creative properties in the industry; Work with the incredible 343 team to help drive the future of Halo.” The ad also mentions that DirectX 11 experience is a plus, and considering that the Xbox 360 doesn’t support it, that tends to suggest a next-generation title. Unless the next Halo is also being developed for PC, which is unlikely. We already know that two more Halo games are planned in 343′s new series, and it appears that Halo 5 will be on Microsoft’s next-generation console, according to this advert.

  16. FROM GAMESPOT Creator Markus Persson reveals Xbox 360 version of open-world creation game goes triple platinum since launch in May, generating $60 million. If its record-breaking launch wasn't proof enough, Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is now a bonafide commercial success. Creator Markus Persson announced on Twitter today that the game has now sold 3 million copies on Xbox Live, generating $60 million since launch in early May. Minecraft for the Xbox 360 has dug out commercial success. "I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!" he wrote. Upon launch on May 9, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition became profitable in just one hour, selling over 400,000 copies during its first 24 hours on sale, and breaking all previous Xbox Live arcade digital sales records. The game reached 1 million in sales in just five days, and recorded more unique users on Xbox Live than Call of Duty: Black Ops for the week of May 14. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was developed by 4J Studios, the Scotland-based shop that built Xbox Live Arcade titles Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, and Banjo-Tooie. It retails for $20.
  17. Ok so i'm not sure if this is already a topic somewhere, but here it is (maybe) again. As many of you fellow Halo players know, there are a whole bunch of diffrent armor that was given out. For instance, Fotus w/ the console, Recruit Prime w/ the limited edition, and Deadeye w/ bestbuy. Now i got the Limited Edition, but i really want all the other armor to. So i thought that maybe 343idustries could create a DLC Pack or two that contained all 12 Armor sets. I mean who wouldn't buy tthis? Heres a list of all the special armor with how you had to get it. 1. Raider: Halo Waypoint Classified Unlock 2. Strider : War Games Map Pass or Limited Edition Halo 4 3. Scanner : War Games Map Pass or Limited Edition Halo 4 4. Recruit PRIME : Limited Edition Halo 4 5. FOTUS: Limited Edition Halo Xbox 6. Hazop FRST: Pre-order from Gamestop 7. Vernator Raptor : Pre-order from BestBuy / Mighty Ape 8. Oceanic CIRCUIT : Pre-order from Walmart 9. C.I.O. WEB : Pre-order from Amazon 10. Gungnir Pulse : Pre-order from MS Store / Mighty Ape 11. Deadeye : Pre-order from BestBuy / Play.com 12. Locus : Pre-order from Future Shop / Mighty Ape or Play Mountain Dew King of the Hill iPhone app game

  19. So it has finally been confirmed that Assassinations, The Covenant and Grifball are coming back. Here is the exact confirmation from Frank O'Connor on the Halo Waypoint Bulletin for this Week: I'll say what I think he means below. 1. Will assassinations return and if yes, will we have more unique weapon moves, for example the Energy Sword in Halo: Reach? –D4RKNESS 360 Short version, yes. Assassinations are altered, but they’re back. The weapon question isn’t something we’re going to answer today. 2. Will there be any Covenant presence in Campaign or Multiplayer? Be it weaponry, equipment, architecture, etc. –Lloyd Jo en es Yes. The Covenant will definitely return, albeit in a completely (graphically, politically and sonically) overhauled form, but they may be the least of your problems. 3. Will Halo 4 include Gravity Hammers and Energy Swords (or adequate replacements) for Grifball? –Kalbelgarion It will be (more or less) possible to play Grifball in Halo 4. 1. I think assasinations are coming back, but differently. For instance, I think we'll be seeing some neck-snaps, knife-stabs, and certain gun-assassinations. 2. I think this means that the Covenant are coming back to try and find forerunner artifacts. Their leaders might be dead, but they might have a new prophet. Anyway, I think when Frank said "but they may be the least of your problems".... He meant that they are aren't going to be the only enemy we face. Could we be facing Forerunner's instead? Most likely.. Maybe even Flood. Does this mean we'll also be seeing Elite's again? Because even though they aren't part of the Covenant anymore.. Our good 'ol friend The Arbiter, might come to help Chief. I mean come on, what would a Halo Game without Dinosau-, I mean Elites, be like. 3. Now after reading this over a few times, I think Frank is trying to say that we 'll be able to play Grifball. But we'll have to make a custom map in forge, along with a game-type for it. And yes, Forge has already been confirmed in Halo 4. Look it up.
  20. Hello everyone, I'm an avid forger who likes to see my maps come to life, my suggestion here is to be able to forge AI (ex: Brutes, Elites, Grunts) spawn points so when people play your map, they will have the option of working together or having an all out war with a total of 4 sides (covenent, 2 teams and flood/prometheans or whatever) I understand this cant just be "added in" but it's definitely something I'd like 343 industries to keep in mind for the next halo, especially since it was originally a halo fanbase. Admins please atleast tell me what you think and I don't mind not getting credit so long as it actually appears in a game, and for all you who agree with me please spread this post and maybe a leader of 343 industries will see it and listen to the fans! ~arandomguy94
  21. IGN is just revealed the new design of the Halo 4 legendary logo and there are massive changes to the new logo. As before we were all familiar with the elite skull but what creature could this skull belong to? Here is a picture of the new logo along with the previous one please leave your thoughts on this new design.
  22. Here Is Entry 13, hope you enjoy it! 1. The Pit This map is very MLG Specified. From the Opening strategy to the ending strategy. Okay, so, to begin with, you want to send everyone here Why? Well, the name is in the picture, its where the rockets are, and the rockets are essential for any form of gameplay. Since the Pit is so open, you can run around freely and kill everyone you want to, with rockets, the pit is your playground, so, i would send at least 3 of your team to rockets, and 1 guy through the other hall (Right of rocket hall) so they can come round the back of their side of rocket hall and kill them from the back. In the mid game, you need to control their side, so, all of this: Needs to be controlled, specifically, the sniper tower on the far right? Why? cause then you control spawns and can dominate the game just by picking them off spawn. Also, You may want to control their side of green so you can kill them off the spawn of the top left side of them which is not in the picture, but, this is an easy to get quick flag caps if done properly, In My Opinion, Id have the following: ONE Person at their side of Rocket Hall ONE Person at their side of the hall right of Rocket Hall (Long Hall) ONE Person moving the flag through Rocket Hall ONE Person at their sniper tower to cover everyone off their spawn. This is the ideal setup, we all know 9/10 we won't get this perfect, but if you get around that are you have a strong chance of winning games, just make sure you are all covering each other cause if 1 / 2 people die, the whole setup breaks and you guys may have to be defending instead of attacking. For Defending i'd do the same setup, it is a sort of reversible setup as it works both ways, again, its all about teamwork though, NEVER use sword though unless necessary, because, its of no worth and you will be seen as just looking for kills in a flag game, which we don't. 2. Preparing For Halo 4. Now, with halo 4 coming out in a little while i feel people could be doing some preparation for halo 4. to begin with, why you should play halo 3. Halo 3: BR, Movement, Maps due to colour and stuff, and possibly the ranking system, since we have no idea of what the ranking system is going to be like, we can presume its going to be somewhat like the halo 3 one. (Not the XP one, the trueskill one.), Carbine. Halo Reach: DMR, AA's, Jumping, HitScan, 5 Shot Kill, Some Maps, Some Covanent/Promethean Weapons, Sniper. 3.Specializations For Halo 4. As a player from halo 1, this kind of scares me but excites me at the same time. Specializations. This new feature which gives you slight adjustments to your armour causes you to get little effects, here is a video of it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMu_goBmBwU So, with this, i was wondering what specializations you guys would pick, put in the comments below what you would pick, but personally, i'd pick Wetworks Or Tracker, as it seems that these 2 are the most game beneficial, but, i want to know what you want. So, say below! 4. Dual Combo in MLG Now, i don't mean dual combo as in double spikers, SMG, etc, i mean like, favourite combo, IE: DMR/Sniper, DMR/Magnum, etc. Personally, my favourite is DMR/Plasma Pistol, why? I can overcharge the Plasma pistol and pick up the easy kill with the DMR, or DMR and Sniper for the same reasons. But, combos change depending on the player, so i'd be interested to know what your favourite combo is and why 5. Other News Just Gonna leave you guys with a gameplay from my good friend, Gazzy, enjoy and watch to get some tips on how to get a better player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rp4-8IdRLQ&feature=plcp
