    A Dream.

It started with a dream. About 2 weeks ago, I awoke with a sense of epic knowledge I had gained from my nap. You know how you mostly never remember your dreams? Well I still remember this one, and I want it implemented somehow before Halo 4 releases. At first, in my dream I was sleeping but awake at the same time. Just think of it like closing your eyes, you can hear and see some lights, only I wasn't really awake. In the corner in my field of vision, which remember, All I see is black with faded particles of light, (just like when your closing your eyes and looking into the sun, I can't stress this image enough), anyways the corner of my FOV had either a countdown or a tallying of numbers of days. At the same time, a faint heartbeat was constantly beating, it started very faint and slow, only a couple of beats every minute or so. Then as the numbers in the corner decreased, the noise of my heartbeat began to get faster and faster. Once the number hit zero I heard muffled noises. Distant explosions, huge frame metal bending, and finally...a single pristine female voice who also sounded muffled said one word. I was barely able to make it out; she had said, "Chief." While all this is going on, my eyes were also opening, albeit slowly. You see where I'm getting at? My dream was a countdown to Halo 4's release date from the point of view of the Chief, who is in cryostasis. How epic would it be to have a countdown app made with what I saw on it? A black and fuzzy screen and all you hear is a faint heartbeat. At first you have no idea on it, until you hear one word, and your whole mind is blown. Just thought I should share it with you. I think someone should create this before Halo 4 releases. See you on the battlefield!
  2. As you all probably know, Spartan Ops is a new feature included in Halo 4. It is basically a few extra campaign missions 343 Industries will be throwing at us every so often. This is essentialy a way to keep gamers coming back to the game every week so that even when they do finish off the campaign, there is still some more story that can be played. My purpose of this thread is to have you guys talk about the type of missions you want to play. Here is my idea: Birth of a Spartan: I think it would be awesome if one of the first missions you can play is a mission in which you train to become a Spartan. You are selected at young, and you train your way through the many task at hand in order to porve that you'll make an excellent Super Soldier. You can have gun training, physical workouts, and other Spartan training based missions. I think it would be a pretty cool way of showing Master Chief's backstory. And then in the end, you are obviously turned into the Super Soldier and you play whatever the next mission 343 creates. So just toss your ideas in the mix. I think it would be a pretty interesting discussion since Spartan Ops is apparently a pretty big deal now that it's a brand new addition to the Halo series.
  3. I DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THIS ANYMORE! 343 IS RIGHT, I'M WRONG HERE. I DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT 343 MEAN'T ABOUT ALL OF THE NEW HALO: 4 **** Hello, 343 Industries. Please listen to me, since there won't be a Halo: 4 public beta, and you need the community to help you make a another great Halo game; then please listen to me. I would like to share this information that I've read, and my opinion on it. http://halocouncil.c...ormation-leaked All of the information on the link was great news to me. Except these: No More Respawn Delay: 5 second spawns are better, At the press of X is much worse than 5 seconds. There would be a lot forms of in-game Trolling, and noobs sitting in spawn just to annoy, or let people down. No More Weapon Camping: The fact that they drop from the sky seem's cool for a lot of big maps like 'Avalanche' from Halo 3 I can agree. But on most small map's like Asylum from Reach, or Guardian from Halo 3 would get really bad. Elites Not Returning to Multiplayer: I know why the Elite's aren't going to be in Halo 4 matchmaking, in fact it has a story attached to it. Training simulator. There was Elite's in Halo 3 matchmaking, and why not Halo 4? I mean, they could just add the Elite's equal the the Spartan VI's. Halo 4 does take place in 2554, so they could make a new genre of Sanghelli solders that are in training with the spartan VI's as a new type of Elite troopers. Please 343, I miss Elites in matchmaking. I don't play as one... but with them just establishes Halo's unique universe. Forerunner Vision; That's a really bad idea: that just goes overboard of a new genre of armor abilities. Such as Armor lock and Drop shield did. I mean, with sprint on all the time in Halo 4, and Forerunner vision, will most likely be terribly cheap, and defeat the purpose of Cloak, and sniping. Custom Loadouts: I'm not sure this one was in the article, I heard it just recently. But, custom loadouts is just as bad as an idea as Armor lock was. I've been hearing you can pick your own weapons, and armor abilities after purchased with a new currency. Spartan Points. That isn't Halo, that's right from Call of Duty. Halo was never suppose to be anything like CoD. I hope it never will be. I play Halo for it's uniquely different gameplay, and creativity. Beside's those. I like what I'm hearing about Halo 4. Keep up the good work.
  4. If you have yet to see the behind the scenes footage of Halo 4 and its development WARNING: this article includes plenty of juicy Halo 4 screens. After watching the video, The current state of the game looks great; no more ridiculous bloom, smoother (clean) kills, visual updates (other than graphics) such as HUD elements including updated versions of the traditional Halo mechanics making the game much closer to its Halo 2 and 3 brethren. In the early stages of Halo 4, we are introduced to the things all Halo fans know and love including the return of the Battle rifle, and the powerful remodeled Spartan IVs (which seem to have lost some armor weight in contrast to their Reach counterpart). Alongside the new Spartan IVs, comes the Spartan we've all been waiting for in anticipation: the new and reinvented Master chief. In comparison to other Halo games, Master Chief's new armor appears to be a blend between his armor seen in Halo 2 and 3, returning to the armor color seen in Halo 2. Halo 4 is to resume Master Chiefs conquest against the covenant, and a new, yet to be revealed enemy. (Images above) Gameplay Elements: As you feast your eyes on the early version of the new HUD 1.1 sit down and look closely (in the screen above): One of the first things to note, is that sprint has made its return(although no armor ability indicator is visible, so its safe to assume the dreaded armor abilities are gone). The health system has returned to the Halo 2/Halo 3's system (as you are a Spartan IV). There are no health bars below shield indicator ( in other words: no more scavenging hopelessly for health packs as your shields will recharge). Among the many things present, the last important thing to note would be the scoreboard. From what we can see in the early version of the game, score increments have changed (resulting in various factors that affect points earned per kill) as well as in game emblems displayed alongside the team's score, and the gametype name below (bottom right in screen above).
  5. A leak found on their Microsoft Job Promotional Video: Working at 343i. Looks like the Halo 3 AR is back! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nUod7k2HwU&feature=related Full Video (Its at 00:25): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXs2SdH8WSg&feature=youtu.be
  6. So real quick, I just want to say this. I routinely check Halo Waypoint every other day to see the bulletins/updates. Now they usually always start popping up around 1:30-2:00 for me (eastern time). But for some reason this today, they haven't. I mean come on, its almost 5:00. Is 343i maybe waiting to post a Major Update? Who nows, just a reason and a theory to help us wait and see if there is going to be any info..
  7. More Halo 4 Info and Master Chief Photos! At first I didn't like His armor, cause I felt like it didint resemble Master Chief right. But the more I see it, the moreI start to like it. My favorite Picture of him is the first one. For some reason it reminds me of Halo 2. lol Also, 343i said their still trying different colors and changing his armor a little more.. https://encrypted-tb...-6xN1sEzjagUcXx https://encrypted-tb...0BTOdHp2dGzAnLw Halo 4 Info: Info quoted from The Halo Waypoint Weekly Bulletin: 2.15.12 "While it’s exciting to get a glimpse of the Halo 4 Master Chief in toy form, nothing will compare to when you finally see him in-game. I’ll never forget the exact moment his design started coming together; when inspecting the smaller details of his armor, such as the scarring on his chest piece, suddenly gave insight into the depth of his character; when suddenly… the Master Chief was the Master Chief. " "One of the Master Chief’s most notable physical characteristics is that he’s wearing 800 pounds of tank and jet fighter. So we pulled that design into the armor and HUD. When you play Halo 4, it’s important you understand that you’re more than just a gun on the screen. To give you that feeling, we have represented that weight with player physics, without interrupting crosshair and shooting accuracy." "A big focus on the Chief’s armor was his physicality and putting the player in those mighty shoes. Getting that weight across in the design had us looking at a lot of contemporary military vehicles, and we pushed detail and form into the armor that implied that history. This is the bleeding edge of military technology." A Spartan tossing his chest plate should feel like an anvil dropping…. A Spartan sprinting across concrete should be a stealthy whisper…. Putting on your helmet should feel like powering up an F-15E…. These are the sorts of experiences we want to give the players. "
