I have read nearly every single post in these forums that have been offered since I joined in early July and every single one since becoming a Moderator. I have read some very good OP's and responses and there have obviously been threads created that box respondents into defending their likes, beliefs and desires. There will always be those who will enter the forums upset about something or tired of feeling left out or not represented because of play lists, bloom issues, etc. Arguments in what we hope for in the Halo 4 game spring up like wild flowers because posters use hard language and stereotype others. I would like the senior members to really try to take a pause before responding and realize what this forum is about. We want fans to be active with ideas, offer their opinions and there hopes for the future. Look past the challenges you feel towards your beliefs and attempt to bring unity into these forums, not continual encouragement of arguments with your responses. We will always have our favorite game in the series, our feelings that this works and this doesn't and all still be fans of Halo. There is no one definition of a Halo fan. We come from all walks of life, all ages and all different kinds of gaming experiences. I personally have been no less a Halo fan because I never delved deep into it's books or lore. I simply love the best game series that has ever been made, some of them more than others, but still an enduring fan. I have recently gotten to know members who have peaked my interest in the history, become friends with players who have completely different views about the game and enjoy seeing all the great, and yes bad, ideas find there way into the forums. So I ask you, "Are we ready to unite again?".

Unfortunately you have maxed out on rank unless you choose to play the Arena. The Swat players were forgotten on the new play lists as you have stated, hopefully they will be included in an update. The rumors about new ranks, as far as I have seen, are unconfirmed. There should have been a better ranking system from the beginning and more ranked variants brought back now that so many have maxed out and lack desire to play minus challenges of advancement.

I agree in part. Reach attributes should not continue. There are form the distant past and have no place in the future where we have played all the original games in the series. The company wants to produce a winner, they want the fans back. Their success is dependent on doing what they said, returning to what made the games so good. What built the Halo empire, what most fans truly want, and will be successful is giving us the ranking system we are used to, not some flaccid credit system that rewards losing nearly as much as wining and allows for any one who simply plays enough to attain the highest rank. That's fine with the "social" ranks, but we need "ranked" play back with all play lists. They failed in Reach ranked system due to most players leaving due to the game itself, not ranked play. I have been part of Halo from the beginning and have promised my support to 343inds. I will be there for Halo 4 to see just what they have done.

Yeah it is the Reach magnum modified to have the characteristics of the CE magnum.The firing rate does not match the originals yet, that may get updated. The original Mag is only available in campaign.

You know OP in some ways I have to agree now with those of you who have come to the forums complaining about being mislead. I have read enough stories, some who said they were seeing some of the videos offered via You Tube or were hearing through friends about the anniversary edition of the original game of Halo. I have personally been aware of the fact that the Reach engine was being used for the match making for quite some time, but I too was initially very unhappy to find out that it was based on Reach's engine, No amount of tweaks, adjustments of damage nor any other adjustment will ever allow the current system truly reflect what we had back then using our LAN connection to battle it out with our friends. It is understandable that many original players hearing the game was being brought back with new graphics could feel mislead. I am guilty of forgetting how many fans of the Halo series were lost. There were those who left the game series simply because life got in the way, others left out of contempt for Reach and some for other reasons. I do not really watch TV myself and am unaware of any commercial ads for Halo CEA, but did a quick search and found none. There was an effort from MS before Halo 3 of over 40 million dollars to promote that game to reach the halo faithful and newer casual players. I see were o many may feel mislead due to the lack of commercial promotion. In the end, the remake of Halo CE's campaign was excellent as most all will admit. We never had online MM and I think time will allow most to realize there simply was not enough time or resources available considering they are creating a brand new engine, or platform, from the ground up for next years release of Halo 4. Reach's engine was the current one available so it was used. The Sabre engine would have required so much work to offer MM on it, if even possible, that it would have eaten up way too much valuable time and energy.The Halo fan base has been split prior to this and did not need any more strains, I agree. We will have the time to see what is coming for Halo 4......for that will be the actual test of 343 Industries to pass the test on whether they can reproduce the Halo and continue the series.

PATORIKU armors never transfer from game to game historically. Part of the fun is beginning a game is that everything is new again. Your rank, armors, k/d, etc. all reset and your achieve the new ranks, armors, etc. I am sure you will like what is in Halo 4 a lot! It will be unlike Reach because it will be following the story of the Master Chief. Reach was a separate game, a stand alone if you will, that happened a very long time before Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Kinda like the Star Wars movies that were made out of sequence. If you enjoyed getting your armor in Reach, you will like getting the armors in Halo 4. Welcome to the forums. That was one great run on sentence.

Question.There is nothing in the rules or anywhere I have looked that allow for animated/flash played signatures of member photos. We now have members posting actual music videos for their signature. Can we have a ruling on that? I ask this on behalf of myself and some members.

If you choose, you can turn off the signatures following posts by simply moving your cursor across any signature which highlights an "X" to the right of it. Simply click on it for the removal features.
