  1. I can remember when Sony used to run the market on gaming. The Play Stations first generation console was a nice system and I had endless hours with friends play Madden, NBA, Baseball, Gran Turismo and countless FRS's! I only came to the XBOX for Halo in the beginning and stayed because of there online match making system. I am very interested to see what Sony brings forward this time. I have had all of their systems and may buy the nest one as well.
  2. Welcome to the forums Ashlynn. I read some where that you were concerned about not having a better member name. Seems fine to me, and besides, look at the one I have. Some members actually think I am a Dog and walk on all fours and eat from a bowl. Truth be known......I do, but that's besides the point, "Welcome to the forums Ash!".
  3. There is a more formal invite to the clan made by PH4ntom here in this forum. My apologies, but one clan invite is sufficient for now.

  6. I understand Insane. I am a team player, always have been. I have never been a big fan of Reach either and still have much more fun playing Halo 3 MM over Reach's. I believe, as you do, that Halo can get back to the roots of what made the game so good, so fun and truly competitive. The reason you see many topics about AA's, Reach weapons, etc. is because there has been no information offered to the community that sheds any light on what Halo 4 will be like. There are only some vague references to the engine, getting back to what made Halo good and some talk about John's character development. 343i. feels they have there reasons for not releasing any information which only leads to more speculation by the community. Time will tell whether we will end up with something that can provide hour upon hour of quality campaign play and a MM that allows for the competitive to compete away from the social player in some type of ranked environment. By the way, nice member pic! lol
  7. It is even worse in Snipers. Granted it i the best map offered for long range sniping, but we could use some fresh ones from the forge map offerings.
  8. I have been hearing of some isolated occurrences here and there. I have no answer, but do honestly sympathize with your pain on that issue. I wish I could push a button and fix the problem for you.
  9. Living up to Choot'em's New Years resolution? I brought on a new member yesterday and will be getting more to join today! Stiil need to do something nice for another member......any idea?

  10. I agree with you Insane. It would appear that Frank O'Conner does too. He has clearly stated the will be a return to that old Halo feel. The game play will be advanced as you could imagine. They are also going to delve deeper into the Master Chief's mind, so to speak. John 117 will have more of his inner self revealed in the campaign and it appears Cortana will begin to show the effects of her longer than expected life span. If you have not seen this 30 minute interview yet with Kiki Wolfkill, Halo 4 Executive Producer, and Josh Holmes, 343 Studio Creative Director, it is definitely worth the watch. Interview.
  11. You know what PIG, I was all for you getting some attention in SWAT, especially in CEA's list. Then I see a comment like this. Fact is, according to your H3 record, you never excelled at H3. The only way you have been able to rank up, finally, is with a pure EXP system. The fact is I go back to H3 because I enjoy the game a lot more than Reach. If you were only in Reach to chase credits for some cheesy rank, maybe you should do as Jester suggested early in this thread and play for fun. Strike a "POSE" baby! lol
  12. The FAIL is a member mocking someone coming here for some advice! Next time keep your smart comments to yourself.
  13. Like grenades actually even hit you! lol
  14. Vitamin you have no idea how much I really want some of the old guard back! Welcome back old friend.
  15. Cool....Jester is in the mix! lol As I welcome you back to the trenches that I know you missed so much, I understand your intent for offering this post. The point still does remain that it was not part of the original experience of CE and Halo 2 online. The fan base was built on what we had at that time. There is no telling what would have happened to the game had the "Reach" attributes been part of the original experience. The REAL Halo experience is just as it has been for all those years. Any ways, Halo 4 is around the corner, a big long corner, and I know we are all chopping at the bit to play it. Party on 343i.!
  16. The user that did cause the problem was banned. Sorry it took so long, it appears that I am usually the only one around enough to deal with the problems sometimes. The site was tampered with and the member responsible was the one who was banned.
  17. I agree the number was miscalculated, I apologize for the math error, only 1.1% of the people that bought the game still play it. It does take away from the sad fact that number still represents. He in fact did not ignore all polite and reasonable arguments. He responded to Brony and others. He simply is wanting a return to what Halo was all about. There are many ways to improve a game series without whole change. He was having a hard time getting that point across apparently. Calling Twin a nerd, aka computer geek, which he is and freely admits to, is no slap in the face compared to the completely unnecessary personal comments Twin made about him. The argument about Halo as it was and is now is always about the ability of fans to deal with change, it is about what they have seen happen to this franchise in the past years. It's about the fact that they do not want anything like Reach again and they look back to the best example of the Halo games, in their opinion. Let me remind you and everyone else of an integral part of a post that was posted in the "Tech Help" forum of Reach a while back. Everyone has questions about the game. How stuff works, how they decided what they can fix, the games limits etc... you get the idea. I am here to answer or help answer in some cases, the many questions that revolve around the forums everyday. So don't be shy, stop on by and ask away. Now, because we don't need to keep order in here, there are a few guidelines... 1. All questions must be posed as such. No pointless opinions asking why something doesn't work, when your opinion is simply that it should. We want actual well thought out questions about important things. 2. Do not re-post asked questions. Wait til myself or someone else replies with an answer before bumping your own question. Please. 3. Do not post negative or insulting comments aimed towards another members' question. This will not be tolerated and will result in punishment. I have read enough posts by members and have seen a progression towards more personal and derogatory comments being made that were not there before. If you think that he was not being attacked personally I suggest you go back and read the comments made towards him and references to his mother. That is all I will say on this. A correction in my post with regards to the numbers has been corrected and edit noted.
  18. When I selected your offered link I ended up initially loading a site for about 2 seconds, then my computer locked up for about a minute. When it finally loaded the "Vanity" site was there, but I back out immediately to run anti virus scans. While sitting in my desktop Internet Explorer, a search engine I do not use, opened up and prompted a message that an unknown site wanted to use my computer to host another site. I shut down and came back in safe mode and scanned my system and removed a back door type virus. I came back into the site and selected your link again and again the same situation occurred. I, by nature of having to review posts and links for this site, have found similar issues before and will remove the link to keep members from experiencing what I run into. It was nothing personal to you, just a noted issue that I blocked other members from having. The reference to it not being a legitimate site was only to warn about a site I linked to and had issues with. I was not familiar with Vanity and have heard others have used it.
  19. New Years resolution....to continue and try to lower the cigar smoking, spend more time with friends and loved ones and do my part to help keep this the best forum in the known universe.
  20. I would like to wish all of you a good start to the new year and thank all of those who bring out the best in this forum.

  21. Choot'em......you are just to good my man! lol I especially love the screen shot of the rocket about to hit you in the "Jimmy's"! You bring out the best in this community and you have my endless thanks for being such a positive impact here. Thank you!
  22. A new member has come in here with an OP about wanting to save Halo. He, like many others, remembers what Halo 2 gave us. He remembered that many of the Halo fans, like him self, felt Halo 3 had lost some of that original feeling. He remembers what great maps Halo 2 offered. He, like so many other liked the super jumps. He liked the core of Halo game play minus what he feels are the gimmicks of AA's, characters noises made when they breath hard as they run or "ummmf!" when they land hard. He simply is a fan of Halo 2 and like so many felt changes made in Halo 3 that he was not happy with and sees Reach as a complete departure from what made Halo good. He may not be the best spoken member here and it appears he came in upset to some degree. Brony offered a very polite and measured response to his OP. Biggles offered a measured response. Msytic offered a polite response. What gives with the rest of you attacking him or proping up those that did? He did not attack you. He came in here and shared an opinion, his opinion, about the Halo franchise. He is not the only one that feels that way either. He never once in his OP stated anything he said as fact. Not everyone who comes into this forum is going to be some technical expert or have the ability to come in here and write some epic OP. He did not make one personal remark to any member.....did he? Look what some of you said to him, how you talked to him. You call him a "Troll"? Twinreaper there was absolutely no need for you to talk to him in the manner that you did, period. He did not come back and denigrate you after how you spoke to him the way you did, did he? You want some figures......nearly 9,000,000, that is nine million, people bought Reach, and roughly 100,000 play it. Those have been the numbers for quite some time. That is 0.01 % of the people that bought the game.......1/100th. It was pointed out to me that I had miss entered the % quotient. It is actually 1.1% percent. Still a sad number. Now if you want me to spend the time and go back and compile that list again, I will and it will end up in every single thread about Reach. The numbers show just how many people have left that game after trying it. Competition? Reach is no competition to COD. He nor I nor any other fan of Halo that refers to COD's popularity means that we like or play that game. It is a reference to a game that is currently popular versus one that is not. It is not a slam on Halo or Reach, merely an observation that reinforces the loss of player in Halo and the continually growing popularity of the MW/COD franchise. Fans of Halo feel the pain of those types of realizations, it shows how much we love Halo and miss what it was all about. It may get expressed in many different ways. There is absolutely nothing wrong with loving what made Halo so good back then and pointing out the changes that players feel has changed the game to what it is now. He simply wants Halo to be great again and like so many felt the true essence of the game was what Halo 2 offered. You really have to "Open your eyes", as Choot'em recently said in his challenge, and see the answer. Instead of looking just at the OP's words, feel his heart and understand his love for the game. Frank O'Conner and many other on the development team have stated they are going back to the roots of what made Halo good and feel like Halo. It is too bad that some of you can not accept his opinion and deal with the anxiety that he feels and have to completely berate him personally!
  23. Congratulations on winning the contest. Figured you would have to get it eventually with all the guesses.
