Well you have to view this from a business and game development standpoint Microsoft is trying to sell the Xbox One. Sony, Nintendo and MS all use exclusives as a means to help sell their console. Heck if there were no exclusives I wouldn't even own a console. So what better way to see the xbox one then through Halo 5? Selling it on the PC would actually HURT 343i and Microsoft and you don't want to hurt either because if Halo does bad Microsoft turns its evil eyes at 343i(It would be smart to mention they own 343i) It is extremely easy to pirate games on the PC so the amount of extra money 343i can possibly get will not be very much, plus it takes TIME to develop a game for multiple platforms. So if Halo 5 did come out for PC it would either be rushed or delayed and knowing Microsoft it would most likely be rushed. Halo 5 coming to pc would in no way return to its roots. Just because Halo CE and Halo 2 Vista were on PC doesn't mean future titles have to follow the same trend. Microsoft is trying to sell their product and 343i is trying to develop a good game. I think it is in our best interest to let 343i focus on a single platform releasing it for the PC even though it would be great just isn't the smartest idea for a "console exclusive" Also please note that Halo 2 Vista only worked on Vista and above so perhaps Halo 5 could only work on Windows 8 and above? I mean no one likes the windows 8 store but Spartan Ops did it. But here comes the argument. Games on PC can be pirated(I am aware that console can as well but pirating PC games is just so much more accessible plus if you want to pirate console games you have to BUY the console) so I highly doubt 343i or MS want their biggest selling franchise to be pirated. If you don't like the Xbox One don't buy it. But now you are informed on why releasing Halo 5 for PC can not happen.

If you want to experience BF4 at its true potential then PC is the way to go. Better frames, better graphics, more players. Well thats if your computer can handle it at max settings.

Halo 5: Kat gets her drivers license! Halo 5: Jumping Hogs! Next gen! Marines! I think having a Halo game where the friendly A.I is helpful would just ruin the hiraity of dying by cliff jumps or getting stuck because Kat decided it was a good idea to stop infront of grunts. I am sure that will most likely be improved.

Not to mention in the full game isn't there a mode where you can practice flying and such etc. I guess they are trying to encourage more people to use vehicles.

Oh my bad I didn't know. Do the weapons respawn? Certain Affinitys tutorial on flood said you could only place weapons via ordinance.

I know the beauty of Halo is that it is still one of the straightforward sci-fi games that has such a great lore. ODST was straightforward but it still allowed you to explore more which is what I meant. Making a MAIN Halo game open world would just ruin it's charm. I don't think 343i would ever do that to a Main Halo title. Maybe in a spin off sure I could see that happening.

I know it's Halo Custom Edition I'e played a few mods before actually I'll be looking forward to those tutorials please link them when you can! Most people don't really mod Halo CE anymore because the flair died off sadly so you can take your time with the tutorials, and if you do not wish to do them that is ok! I wish I knew more about modding so I can help but sadly I do not.

The supressor, AR, and strom rifle are all very different weapons. They work differently play differently etc. Also this idea does sound similar to the Titanfall pistol and Plasma Launcher from Reach.

Battlefront was an amazing series but it's gameplay isn't meant for Halo. Now a game variant would actually be really it won't change the game and gives players more options.

I really don't think any of this is true. It isn't confirmed, and the multiplayer part sounds EXTREMELY narrow minded. I don't want to play giant battles all the time and what about the times I want to use my loadouts in small objective teamed games. Game development is quite difficult and these rumors don't sound very "Halo". If Halo 5 was not linear I will be extremely angry with 343i. Halo is a linear game I would't mind something in the style of ODST, but thats it.

Really happy that you were able to solve the issue! How about you edit your first post and type in "SOLVED" and then post how you fixed it(Like you just did there) So if anyone encounters the same issue they can see that you fixed it and find the solution without looking through all these post.

Please do not type in all caps thank you. UNSC Flying Vehicles would be great I hope they bring some back. Hopefully all, but Im not holding my breath. We might see the return of playable elites that would be nice, also old weapons can't come back because we're in the future. Spartans don't use the medpack system anymore because their armor is a lot more advance, plus when your shields are down you already have a health system. It just isn't visible. Please refrain from comparing Halo to CoD because they are both very different games and there is no comparison to be made.

Also the time he was mentioned in the beginning of the game when you were planning your first heist. "There was this guy from Liberty City, but he went dark" or something like that. The crippled guy said it!

Nice to meet you again Zid! One of the hardest things about starting projects is finishing them, but it's so worth it when its over. I hope we get to see more events with FC and 343i

Um... the Spartan Laser is in Halo 4 and it is the same......

I mean at one point there was a Halo MMO in the works, but I don't think the Halo universe fits the free roam feel. Let Destiny do that

I like grunts how they are now. Just cannon fodder. Changing them would ruin the balance of the covenant squad structure. Although I love the idea of active camo grunts making a return.

This is in the wrong thread, I don't think this qualifies as "tech center" material, but making Halo a FPS/RTS hybrid is not wise. There are plenty of FPS/RTS hybrids and they don't necessarily work well. Adding that big of a change to an FPS game just isn't plausible. There are some sci-fi FPS/RTS hybrids out there that sound really similar to what you have written.

The weapon design in Destiny is so refreshing to see I love it!
