  4. DotD (Dawn of the Dragons) Platform: PC The Director's Rating: 8.5/10 This is a browser played flash game that is surprisingly fun. It is also f2p (free to play), but not in the way most browser games are. Usually in a f2p game, paying ridiculous amounts of money will give you an almost unbeatable advantage against those who do not pay, regardless of how hard they work. However, the advantages gained by paying into this game aren't so buffed that those who pay to play are unbeatable. Not to mention that you can earn the payed currency (i.e. the stuff you buy to purchase items in game) by leveling up or playing frequently. This game takes some of the best features of a f2p browser game and combines them into an amazingly addictive game. This game is playable on quite a few websites, including facebook and Armorgames.com. There are a few million people who play it. The game is still in it's beta, so changes may occur. Combat: Combat in this game is your basic f2p style (i.e. click the buttons). The gear you get buffs the amount of damage you do, and nerfs the amount of damage you receive. There are three basic forms of combat. Quest bosses (which include mini-bosses), raids, and PvP. There are a few different types of PvP, but it's mainly based on the equipment you have. Gear: One of the unique things about this game is the sheer amount of gear you can get. You can get gear by purchasing it, picking it up during quests or raids, or by making it. You can also enchant and improve your gear. Guilds: There are guilds in this game, and if you are stuck in a raid and have a guild, they will probably help you out. Plus, to level up at max efficiency, taking part in guild raids is a must. Raids: There are two types of raids, group raids and guild raids. Group raids can be joined by anyone in the game, provided you supply them with the "raid link". Group raids also take stamina to attack. Guild raids can only be participated in by your guild-mates, and require honor to attack. Stamina can be upgraded via stat points, but honor goes up by 1 every level you gain. Synopsis: This is one of the very few browser games that I would recommend checking out (without being paid to). It's got an intricate system for loot dropping, some pretty cool ways to play, and more gear than you can shake a stick at. Which some of the gear happens to be ridable dragons, and shaking sticks at them may anger them, so stick shaking is not recommended. The Director's Recommendation: I recommend giving this game a shot if you've got some free time on your hands. You can find it easily enough with a google search for "Dawn of the Dragons". Bear in mind that each different site that it's on has it's own server, so if you are trying to play with a friend be sure to play it on the same site they are on. If you have a recommendation for a game that I should review, then let me know in the comments (I follow all of my threads ;D). Remember though, if it's a hyped up game then I won't do it. "Lesser Known" is in the title after all. Hope you enjoy your time in the world of games. Wanna see the others? Check out the menu! http://www.343indust...own-games-menu/
  5. That's hilarious because this used to happen to me all the time. In Halo 3 and Halo Reach. No but really. Having to carry people DID happen in Halo 3. So often that people took the time out of their busy lives to create pictures to send to people who got carried (see last link). http://halo.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=FAlRY+Ponies http://halo.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=SixTub http://halo.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=65992513
  6. Nah. Every 30 minutes of gameplay will cause a brief commercial interruption with a message saying "This console is brought to you by (product/company name here)".
  7. 1. Don't really mind either way.2. I kind of agree, but at the same time it's not that much of a difference from past Halo titles during release, so it doesn't bother me that badly. 3. Again kind of agree. It would have been nice if they had made each weapon useful in certain situations (or at least made them all as useful as each other) rather than having a few weapons dominate over most. Main thing I disliked was the vehicles. They made me sad. Specifically my scorpion.
  8. Well Tekkit/Technic is a modpack for Minecraft, rather than just a very similar game. It's a combination of several different mods that have been tweaked so that they work in conjunction with one another. So probably not. lol
  9. Basically, you attach it to your television and to the internet, and you can then run your steam games on it and play them on your television without having to worry about system specs because it will update itself to match them. Basically it's like a computer that allows you to play games (new and old) on your TV and you don't have to worry about it being obsolete as fast.
  10. Actually, there are some perks to having a high GS. http://rewards.xbox.com/myachievements/ Unfortunately for me, they stop rewarding after 25k :/ I'm at 34k.
  11. I only 100% certain games. I could 100% all of them, but specifically choose to 100% the games that I have fun getting the achievements on. One or two hard ones don't bother me, as long as they are fun, but if they are both hard and frustrating (i.e. glitchy, multiplayer, or you have to farm to get) then I won't even bother trying for them.
  12. People like that are just angry and need someone to blame. Just remember, for every one of those people are three people who would pick you up off the ground if you tripped and fell. Don't let the bad apples bother you. As for reasons, there is no such thing as the wrong reasons. That's all a matter of perspective. Asking yourself if you are doing something for the right reasons is like asking yourself if you are tasting the strawberry jam on your toast right. Even if you joined just to be able to see what it's like to kill people, at least you joined the military instead of lurking in a dark alleyway with a knife. Never question your reasons, for they are what make you who you are. P.S. I hope you weren't wearing your medals with your blues. lol
  13. Yes, they can. There isn't a class in TES that can't learn magic lol
  14. Topic locked. Illegally leaked material isn't allowed here.
  15. So my friend and I were playing around in forge (on Ravine) and I killed him from all the way across the map. With an AR. While he was in ball mode... Yeah...

  16. I don't play grifball, and the only way I'd want to see snipers come back is if they took out flinching and the sniper bullet spread. I want to play snipers, not who can shoot who in the foot faster.
  17. Warning, I'm now going WAAYYY to into it:
  18. Really? Because the necromorphs remind ME of the flood. lol
  19. The keyphrase there is "After extensive evaluations" lol ONI would have made Del Rio's life very, very difficult (and possibly shorter) if he actually had destroyed Cortana. You see, Cortana was not only carrying information on the Ark that would have been useful, but information about the gravemind, the Prometheans (and the Didact), and many other things that would have been very useful. If anyone had destroyed her, they may have actually been charged with treason. It's a good thing she destroyed herself, right? lol And yes, the correct course of action would have been to deploy recon teams (actual recon) to find the location of the Didact while getting into and maintaining an orbit around the planet, apprising Earth of the situation, and waiting for further orders. They may also have taken the initiative and launched a preemptive assault. But full retreat was not necessary, nor rated. Oh, and yeah most frigates are equipped for slip-space jumps.
  20. Actually, he wasn't in an impossible situation. The ship was damaged but far from seriously damaged. Not to mention that they caused the enemy enough damage that he had to retreat, and instead of pressing the attack (which is what one would normally do) he showed signs of being shaken and ordered a full retreat, even after presented with evidence that the enemy could potentially attempt (and succeed) at destroying Earth. A commander has to be willing to give the lives of not only himself but everyone under his command to fulfill his duty. He should always be on the lookout for ways to avoid spending lives, but he must not be hesitant to do so. Captain Del Rio not only had an emotional outburst in front of lesser ranks (conduct unbecoming of an officer), not only ordered the destruction of potentially vital UNSC intelligence hardware (Cortana), but also ordered a full retreat from a potential galactic threat. I would not be surprised if in Halo 5 we hear about a Second Lieutenant Del Rio.
  21. For me, it's either KotOR, Civ II, SWBF II, or Morrowind.
  22. Did you know that he was assisted by a grunt named Yayap who saved his life (to get out of going into battle)?
