  2. Which is your personal preference, likewise other people have theirs. It's just a matter of opinion whether or not certain aspects are worth it or not.
  3. I think you are being very subjective over your opinion on this matter. First of all, I personally value 9 (cheaper) game maps that are included in the LE post-launch over some skins / helmets (which will even eventually be purchasable in a future DLC(s)). Secondly, getting the full FUD is a nice offer, and while it is possible you'll lose it if something unfortunate would happen to your account, I'm certain it will be replaceable through contact support with 343i in some way (or not). And not to forget, you'll also get the UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet including MJOLNIR armor schematics, weapon information and a layout of the indoctrination of the SPARTAN-IVs. So personally, I don't think LE is a waste of my money.
  4. Getting Halo:CEA tomorrow, so I'll have a good reason to go "Terminal hunting".
  5. The Promethean one. Mostly due to the soundtrack.
  6. It's subjective. I myself love the new look it has.
  7. Gonna have to skip this one. Maybe if they'll have in the future a similar offer for Halo 5, maybe then.
  8. Shame the LE sold out from Gamestop, otherwise I would have totally ordered from there, with all these items they are offering. Ah well, I have myself to blame for being so late.
  9. ^Agreed. Ah well, maybe I could try to wish it as a Christmas present from Santy Claus.
  10. I can imagine the conversation with Chief and the Infinity crew; Chief: What are you doing here? Commander: We picked up your distress signal and came to rescue you! Chief: Really? Seems to be the other way around...
  11. Dominion. I tend to like large (vehicular-based) firefight gametypes, which usually can be played through various ways and tactics. And small bases with added turrets does sound badass.
  12. Would probably end up with quarrels, and everyone shooting at each other with no one caring about the obstacle course.
  13. Well it depends. I'm a owner of both a PS3 and a Xbox, and while I generally prefer both, Xbox is more of my type of console. Both consoles have their own unique exclusive games, and it's mostly a matter of preference. But since you seem to be a fan of Halo, and considering this game is the first of the Reclaimer Trilogy, I'd consider buying an Xbox and sell your PS3. Though then again, I just remembered that 'Xbox 720' will most likely release before Halo 5, and I doubt the future Halo games will be made for Xbox anymore (though anything is possible) so it's all up to you. Whether other Xbox games intrest you, more reason to buy it. So personally, sell the PS3, and buy a Xbox.
  14. No, you'd be confusing with Theodore Roosevelt, who was shot during his election campaign speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 'Twas only a flesh wound.
  15. Ah yes, the famous Felix Baumgartner. His list of achievements is quite remarkable. I remember watching a documentary on him, ending with him stating that his next "trick" would be a free fall from space. Well I wish him best of luck, and hopefully he'll come out of it safe and sound!
  16. Well in Halo: Fall of Reach, 6-year-old John is described having "tousled brown hair", while in Halo: The Flood, Chief is only described as having "Short hair, with serious eyes, a firm mouth, and a strong jaw." If we want to count comic books as canon, he has brown hair in Halo: Helljumper #1. And if we also want to count the Halo Holiday 2010 card as canon, he is seen with brown hair. I seriously can't believe we're debating what hair color Chief has...
  17. I'm curious; why do you think adding killcams will change the sniping experience in Halo, and making it similar to COD?
  18. Sounds to be for a very noble cause. I'm in! Nice to see the community involved in things like these!
  19. It did share some light on the Covenant's philosophical and political goals, which I did state added complexity to the plot, the way it was handled was poor. As for sympathetic, well it is debatable, but understandable is a better definition for it.
  20. Link: http://343i.org/n3 Former Halo developer brings on Red Dead Redemption senior designer Danny Bulla to join sandbox team for upcoming project with Activision. Bungie has kept tight-lipped on its first post-Halo project, but now some additional light has been shed on the game, rumored to be titled Destiny. The company has hired former Rockstar Games senior game designer Danny Bulla to work on the sandbox team at Bungie. This does not mean Bungie's new game will have horses. "We liked Red Dead Redemption so much that we hired Danny Bulla to come here and help us fill your next sandbox," Bungie said in a statement on its website. "He’s doing some amazing work and, so far, he hasn’t tried to lash any of us to a pair of railroad tracks." At Rockstar, Bulla worked on the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare downloadable content. Prior to joining Rockstar, Bulla spent two years at Midway, where he contributed to 2007's Blacksite: Area 51. Destiny is Bungie's first project as part of a 10-year publishing deal with Call of Duty company Activision. Legal documents from May suggest that this game will release for the Xbox 360 and that console's successor in 2013, with a 2014 release slated for PlayStation 3.
  21. I wouldn't mind having the good old original Blood Gulch map make a return in Halo 4.
  22. Well it interesting to see the pre-order exclusive armors each have a special pattern to them. I hope that feature will be available in the 'Armory', though then again, it would remove the 'uniqueness' of the exclusive armors.
  23. Glyph, eh? Where's Liara lurking? Anyway, welcome to the forums!
  24. I was judging the cliffhangers execution, hence why I said "abrupt cliffhanger". The cliffhanger ending didn't 'arrive' in the context of the Halo storyline, and it left you with no sense of progress or resolution whatsoever, which ultimately ended up with little satisfaction to be found in the ending. A great deal of attention is paid this time around not to the humans struggling for survival and / or Earth's fate that Halo:CE established, but instead it focused to the Covenant and their political upheaval within their ranks. You spent the first game indiscriminately fighting Covenants--yet now you're expected to be sympathetic to them and their hatred for humankind. While it may have added some complexity to the plot seeing it from the Covenant's perspective, it's abrupt implementation is what made it poor.
  25. That is is, but were it much higher, I could imagine the rage from people with low achievement scores / people overall claiming that this whole thing is a fraud, which "forces" you to buy more games to be able to get discounts.
