Most Halo games have at least one main driving mission on it. halo 3's was the most iconic for most of us i think, with the crumbling structures, protector drones and the huge ass jump into the Pilar of Autumn at the end. Even in reach Long night of Solice and New Axexandria could be counted as that type of mission.

Would most of you agree with me if i said 343I should do their own varient on this type of mission?

I mean it would be cool to see the chief driving a hog full of Spartan IVs through a tight cornered map with lots of forunners ect.

please leave veiws and opinions below and vote on the poll above

Thanks

In every trailer there is almost a hint at the end of the campaign, like when master chief is driving the ghost and you see a crashing phantom, but 343i already told us the ending was in the hangar of the infinity getting ready to go to war, but the part I just talked about could link up to the part here, racing in a ghost trying to get to the infinity maybe?

Possible would be good if you could actually deside which vehicle to do it in tho and not forced to do it in a ghost.

I think you mean "...with the crumbling structures, Sentinals, and that hugeass jump into the 'Foward Unto Dawn' at the end." Either way, I really would like a cool ending to Halo 4, but I want the epic finale to be at the end of the last game of the Reclaimer Trilogy.

343 said that we'd be in the infinity getting ready to go to war AROUND the end of the game, i would just hate having a cliffhanger ending, and then hearing about it in Spartan Ops. But do think the ghost footage would be a vehicle level.

I hope not.

The most iconic, to those who've played it, it's the first race ending, the Combat Evolved ending.

The Halo 3 ending is just a tribute to the first ending. It's like if they wanted to say: "Look, how it started, now it ends."

I really liked both of them.

But another ending like that would be repeating. At least, in Halo 4.

I agree with Rapid Ardent, the Epic finale must be at the end of Halo 6.

Of course! I actually get goosebumps by just hearing the soundtrack playin'! :D

But also the final level in Halo 2 when you're the Chief is pretty much cool, with all the Covies and Flood fighting, and you must run between the crossing fire to get into the Dreadnought!

I was about to say the same thing. CE is the most iconic obviously cuz it's the original. In every halo game ending you are escaping from something. even ODST you are escorting an engineer. so if they are keeping to the pattern, that will be the theme of the final level. I would prefer it not be another warthog escape as we have already seen a carbon copy in Halo 3. And the most epic escape should be Halo 6. I would vote for a halo 6 multi-vehicle ending. meaning you have to traverse through several medians, like a warthog or land vehicle part 1, then on foot for part two, then through the air for part 3 before landing on something that will bring an end to the halo saga.

LOL have you even played Halo?

The entire first Halo is based around the Pillar of Autumn being crashed, then blown up to destroy the ring.

And LOL@PROTECTOR DRONES. xD

He got some things wrong, but you get the point. No need to be rude.

OT: Halo always has some sort of driving/get there now before *expletive* gets real sort of mission. It would be odd of Halo 4 not to. lol

As long as the final battle isnt as anticlimatic as the fight against 343 GS I will be happy. Halo 3's final "boss" fight was lame...even on legendary.

Because it isn't the final boss. Tartarus was the final boss in Halo 2. Halo 3 ends with the race that we all love.

And, btw, i think a Halo game should never end with a boss fight. It reminds me of Street Fighter saga, wich i hated (not the game, the final boss).

Yes i have played halo, infact im a hero on reach and a reasonable high rank on H3, i just havemt played HCE or H2 and i could quite remeber the name of the ship. and they were effectively protector drones (they protected the ring and the were drones)

Yeah, "final bosses" just make me think of platformers like Mario and ring fighting games like Mortal Kombat or WWE. So Halo should definatly NOT have a "final boss" its just too..... boring....

I agree. That final fight did seem kind of bland in comparison with the rest of the game. But in my opinion, the final Warthog Run to the Forward Unto Dawn more than made up for it.

Not sure if anybody's mentioned this as a possibility, but I think it would be pretty cool with a Mammoth (as I believe it is called) since that would be really vool to see. Imagine riding in that war machine, crushing through enemies which your weapons are firing in every direction, holding of the enemy hordes as you push forward. Now that would be a cool mission!

To me that would depend on how fast the Mammoth is xD Or if it was going downhill c:<

I personally hope 343 is more creative than to just repeat the ending of previous games. With that being said, An interesting scenario would be an aerial escape with a banshee through a huge cavernous area. I can imagine giant stalactites and columns collapsing around you as you fly out. Of course when he gets to his destination Chief crashes just short of his destination in the ending cut scene. Preferably just under the cliff and then climb up and look behind him to see the magnificent desolation that he left behind.
