  1. In our house the younger kids still are in bed by no later than 10:00 PM. We wake them all at 8:00 AM and take them on 2 to 3 mile long walk in the park with us every morning, weather permitting. It is required of them if they want to use the XBOX, watch TV or use electronics in the house.
  2. I love how Drizzy came in and changed Twin's post......you going to let him get away with that Twin?
  3. I agree with those who feel a Beta may come this year. Bungie has already backed off of a release for this years Christmas season and thankfully Activision appears to have no problem with that decision considering it was in their signed contract. Bungie is determined to release a completely finished and tested game to it's fans. They had long been under pressure to release games early due to their previous game publisher and there current contract with Activision along with the release date change would signify Activision wants the same as Bungie does. I am happy to see this type of working relationship and I think anyone would have to admit that Bungie could release the game at any point they feel it is ready and will get the sales that Destiny rightfully deserves. On a side note, a summer release could be just a profitable considering that many younger fans are entering the work place with summer jobs and have their own money, parents are looking for different ways to give their kids something fun to do for the summer and what better time to release when a vast majority of young gamer's will have an abundance of time for gaming during summer break.

  5. It with great pride that I announce our newest member of the moderating team. He has been a loyal and dedicated member for as long as I can remember. He is of course Drzzy_Dan! Drizzy was has been such a great asset to this site and everyone who knows him likes him, his work and respects his dedication. Twam, Jester and I have been a fan of his work for a very long time and I can confidently speak on all our behalfs and state that it is members of Drizzy_Dan's caliber that continue to make this forum and it's members the best on the internet! 6. Here is what I know. I buy a game, a music CD, a wrench, a fan, a cup, a car, a power tool.......it's mine, period. I own it and nobody tells me how to use it, share it, with who or how many people. I purchase items, not pay a licensing fee with restrictions when it comes to actual merchandise. If you give in to this ideal, it will become a standard, with the restrictions initially given, in the future. I really hope that consumers can actually see through all the words and see the implications of this type of policy.
  7. It is with great pride that I announce our newest Legendary member. He has been here a very long time, joining just before I did. Though he may not be known to the newer members, he was one of the forums first staff members long before we called it that. He, I believe, created more signatures than all others and did an amazing job. I know from talking with him over the years that he really enjoyed his work and making members happy with their unique signatures that allowed them to express themselves. He was always eager to help out around the forum and always stepped up when he was asked. He most recently had made his services available for the You Tube channel. It is important to remember those of us who have given so much to the community and never asked for anything in return. All members please give thanks and honor to our newest Legendary member. EGYPTIANGHETTO Here are some examples of his work.
  8. You can contact 343 Industries here for a career with them, a job basically. LINK You can send a letter to their main address in care of who you wish to talk to at their main address. 434 Kirkland Ave, Kirkland, WA 98033 You could drive to Kirkland, WA and ask to see them. Good luck with any of these attempts!
  9. For me the console works better. I have tried playing a few games on PC that I was very familiar with already and found it just did not work for me. I was an early Doom player and am familiar with PC gaming, though very limited. For today's games, my desire to sit in the comfort of an easy chair or bed and use equipment that is used, basically, by the gamer's I am competing with. I find the console fits my needs better. I do have a very powerful desk top, but sitting in front of it and my 24 inch HD clear glass monitor ain't cuttin 'it. On the other hand, my brother is a professional race car driver and instructer and uses his PC between races and off season to keep his skill up. He races on iRacing.com, a rather expensive software overall, and it is very cool. Below is a picture of him winning a race at Sebring, FL. in one of his cars. I guess it is all a matter of preference, game availability per platform and whether you already own a computer and do not want to spend the additional money for a console and it's titles.
  10. I think they look a Swat way to lineally. You can play Swat with any single fire weapon. Just have 'Carbine Swat', 'Swat Light'(...for those who want less calories), Swat Bolt, etc. Just match up so each team uses the same weapons, it is that simple. Who cares what the weapon is.......it all about, or should be, who is most proficient with the various weapons and employs the best tactics. To me that was the heart of Halo.

Well, at least it's for PC, so people who complained about no PC game should stop complaining now I think.

    3. Axilus Prime

      Axilus Prime

Well, a Halo game will only work on a Microsoft product. That's how it's always been. Why all the shock?

The game itself looks fun, something I can use if I want to play Halo at random and can't use my Xbox at the time

  12. Actually, less than a month after release Halo 4's peak online had dropped to what Reach had maintained as an average for a long time. Now the peak hoovers around 10,000 to 12,000. (The red line represents the 50,000 player mark.) By comparison, Reach was released mid September 2010 and here are the unique gamer tags per a 24 hour period in the 4th to 7th months of that game.
  13. Thread closed, OP that started it was banned. Enough said! lol
  14. Any gamer tag that has been unused for a number of years where recycled by Microsoft a while back. It may simply no longer exist. This is from 2011: "Microsoft is doing its part to clean up the virtual environment. As of yesterday, the Xbox 360 console maker has begun picking up old Gamertags that have been tossed aside and is recycling them, Xbox Live's Major Nelson announced in a blog post. That means if you've been wanting to use a Gamertag that was already snatched up but since abandoned, there's still hope it can be yours. "This process will take some time to complete, and no we can't tell you when the Gamertag you want might be available," Major Nelson says. "If you are interested, you should check back regularly as we are reviving Gamertags daily." Here is a link for a Live search. http://majornelson.com/2011/03/01/xbox-live-gamertags-go-zombie-and-rise-from-the-dead/

  16. This month's Member of the Month, MOM, is one of those members that caught my eye early on. He is known for being a well spoken, polite and positive presence in the forums. He is active within the community and seems to live by the code, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.". He has the full support and respect of our staff and was most recently awarded what RedStarRocket referred to as a 'rare' awarding of my personal "Dog Star". This is one of the members that holds that high standard of quality posting, being helpful to fellow forum members and being part of what makes this site such a unique, fun and comfortable place. All hail the June ......... Beckoningzebra1 I almost forgot....he finally beat his brother in arm wrestling too!
  17. Welcome to the site Vangellis. I like the member photo.....brings back memories. Hope you enjoy your stay here......and stay out of my refrigerator.
