  1. You should learn from failure, not be rewarded. What is this, Bush's "No Spartan Left Behind"?
  2. No offense, but people that try sniping with DMR/BRs with aim assist and bullet magnetism up the whazoo and are never more than a foot from a corner so they can run behind it like a **** the second their shield even goes down slightly are cowardly and unskilled. No offense. No offense, btw. And the Assault Rifle is a nuisance at most. A halfway competent Magnum can easily dispatch them. If you are having issues with assault rifle users you are playing Halo 4 wrong. Simple. The game is an uphill fight for them, I am shocked when I see a guy go positive with one of those things. A game of Regicide where everyone is using automatics but you is called a free win.
  3. I have been playing Halo 3 pretty regularly last week and I wish they had at least 5,000 on. Must be my luck.
  4. So you want fairy god parents like Timmy Turner?
  5. No gun in the game is a 4sk except the LR scoped.
  6. Never understood the fascination of immortality. Well, I do, but it isn't for me. I'm just saying I would prefer to die one day rather than living and living and living... c'mon. Invisibility is cool as well as shapeshifting.
  7. He has a right to voice his complaints (constructively), so you won't be seeing an end to the kinds of threads any time soon.
  8. Yeah, but from what I undertand it is highly unlikely. I think we have a higher chance of seeing a Republic Commandos II than a BFIII, which wouldn't be a bad thing in my mind either. Yeah, Republic Commandos had issues but I think if they polished the multiplayer a lot more they could have had a solid single and multiplayer game. I will always remember how awesome the AI was in that game, between the enemies and how cool it was when a Super Battle Droid knocked one of its lesser allies out of the way to get to you, or the excellent squad dynamic your team had. Sev was awesome.
  9. ^ I don't blame her. You're in a relationship with your girlfriend, not the Xbox. If you want to sit around and play games then that is your perogative, but don't expect a girl to watch you juggle between her and the game. I am sure dude was playing too much if the girlfriend was threatening to dump him anyway.
  10. Flood can be contained. The Halo rings are indiscriminate weapons that are just too unpredictable and uncontrollable to use as an effective weapon. Also, the Deathstar can fire it's laser at FULL power with the force of a small supernova, not only destroying a planet but a solar system as well. And it can fire again and again and again...
  11. I wish I could play pros. You were running regular Infinity Slayer, right? I wonder if he was rolling with his "crew".
  12. Battle Rifle is the same Matchmaking was always about ranged weapons.
  13. I think they just gave away some of the only things in the game that were even remotely challenging to obtain, reducing the value of the stances... at least in my eyes.
  14. I agree that more skilled players should be rewarded, but that is just an inherit fallacy within Halo 4. Case in point, the DMR and BoltShot. With these weapons, almost anybody can be dangerous. But that is besides the point. I used to refer to Regi as an "opportunist's game", and to a certain extent it is. Games can boil down to you being king with 290 points going 21-11 with a Battle Rifle, and you could be left one shot at the end of a battle. Then some Assault Rifle bumrushers comes out of nowhere and finishes you off when he had 265, winning the game. His score might be something like 19-22, and yet he still won. I hav seen this scenario out many times. On the same token though, I have seen people with nothing more than mad skills and their Battle Rifle decimate everyone nobody what weapon they use, going 29-8. So in that sense, the mode rewards the highly skilled most definitely. People that are decently skilled may be let out to dry in this mode just because of them not being able to effectively deal with the wide array of playstyles that perform effectively in the mode. I say you have to be really, really good to be successful at the mode most of the time, so in that respect skill is demanded of you. At the same time the game does reward players of lesser skill by giving the king high bounties. I see this as an attempt to even the playing field, but sometimes no matter how high the bounty is you just won't be able to kill a king with a killer 5-shot, wicked strafe, and overshield and damage boosts coming. I am with you though, I would love to see some more FFA playlists, but Regicide is better than nothing.
  15. I have always advocated the inclusion of bots in local multiplayer for the sole reason of practice. For example, a bot that was just meant to strafe back and forth or jump around. It would be excellent, however I don't think they are possible with Halo.
  16. Donkey Kong 64. That is the stuff. Cocunut Guns are cool.
  17. If only you didn't have A Hank Hill avatar, I would have been able to read the whole thing without "propane" coming to mind more than a few times. I do enjoy your perspective on the series though.
  18. That is the natural progression of events. Anybody that didn't start off with CE wouldn't understand the perspective of a Halo vet. Funny enough, Halo CE and Halo 2 are the only games where I played the canpign more than once, and funny enough you don't even unlock anything for them like you do nowadays (aside from an ending). The games just blew my mind that much when I was younger. I was also coming fresh off the N64 too and when I seen XBox graphics for the first time I was like, "Woah... this is pretty sick." Ah, those are the days... When I would actually be "wowed" by a game. Maybe I should attribute it to the fact that I am older and my interest in gaming in general has substantially waned. Who knows.
  19. Where do all these people that play for the campaign come from? I understand as it is an epic story we have been following for years but it's like, what do you do with the game after you beat the campaign? Go through it a 1,000 more times until you know it by heart? Let it collect dust on your shelf and reminisce about how you killed all of those grunts? Really, it is just so... lacking in replayability.
  20. Does Pokemon count as Science Fiction or Fantasy? Either way, it doesn't matter because mine probably isn't sci-fi either... Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat. Hawt. I like Nitara a lot too. I actually like Nitara better, but Sonya was the first.
  21. The Sith and the Jedi would annihilate them with the force. Then they would proceed to slaughter each other like they always do.
  22. My all time favorite is Dragonite, ever since I got his holographic card in the Fossil Booster pack. It was like, my second pack of cards. God, that was so long ago. My team would be... Dragonite Alakazam Blastoise Gengar Nidoking Typhlosion It isn't a very balanced competitive team, but I love the first gen since I am an old school player of the games.
  23. Ok, last question. I will be doing Hardcore mode and was thinking of a build like this; S-4 P-5 E-7 C-1 I-8 A-6 L-9 I would like some critique on this. I plan on mainly using Guns and Energy Weapons (especially since they save on Ammo). Would this be effective for surviving and keeping a decent amount of stats? Any input would be appreciated.
