  1. I want a grenade, that doesn't really act like a normal grenade. I'd want it to be called "The Tomahawk." The Tomahawk would have a similar design to that of the Brute grenade in Halo 3, but when you throw it, it 'feels' lighter and goes farther. When the Tomahawk lands on a player, it would instantly drain their shields leaving them one-shot. The only catch would be in the awkwardness of trying to aim it without a proper reticle.
  2. A possibility that's been floating around in my head is that this ONI Spartan may not be alone. I think a hint that may be in the title, "Guardians." I think it's possible that this ONI Spartan is part of an elite squad of Spartans called the "Guardians." This squad would likely be focusing their efforts on stopping the antagonist in Halo 5. (Whomever it may be) This squad may have been travelling with the Chief, or sent to recruit the Chief, but for whatever reason, it seems Chief is out of reach.
  3. Star Wars: Battlefront tops the list for me. It's the first installment since 2009, and the first console installment since 2005- Nearly ten years ago! It's going to be very exciting to see how Dice has handled this game and what their take on the Battlefront series will be.
  4. I see what you're saying in a way, but even so, if we find out what the symbol is and the meaning behind it, it could give us more insight and this Spartan's background more depth. Even if that depth only reaches the Spartan's personality, it still leaves us knowing more.
  5. There are some members on this forum who have jobs at 343i, I'm also sure that 343 sees some of the things our Forum does. We're a very large community, with a very large outreach, 343 knows we're here. I like the perks and 'stuff.' I think they add to the game. One thing about perks though, I don't think that they should ever be DLC-exclusive. I believe that the Recharge or Survivor perk was a Champions Bundle exclusive for a few weeks, I didn't like that idea. I want Halo to stay away from that type of multiplayer. As long as everything is equally accessible, the game, in my opinion, is balanced.
  6. I'm going to say the Gravity hammer. The gravity hammer allows you to get two for one's and on very rare (and lucky) occasions a three for one! The weapons are both very good in their own right, but if I'm swarmed by a large number of enemies, I'm going for the hammer.
  7. Though its possible that Chief could have gone rogue and ONI sent this spartan after him, I feel that it's more likely to think that this spartan is a protagonist that will aid the Chief throughout Halo 5.
  8. I'm wondering what ways the new Battle Rifle will affect multiplayer gameplay. The possibility of customizing weapons is very exciting, and as long as things such as bullet hardness, suppressors, rapid fire, etc. aren't added, I'm very much for weapon customization. I'd like to be able to customize the skin, color, reticle, and the scope itself. Also, I hope having the new scope doesn't affect gameplay, like for example switching to CoD style scoping, where one brings the weapon to his face rather than an instant zoom like in previous Halo games. I'm very excited about this new spartan. I'm hoping he'll be a playable character in the campaign, whether it means an Arbiter type role, or Noble Six type of role in Halo: Reach. Overall very informative and thought provoking post Red, Good job!
  9. I can't imagine in any way that Halo 2: Anniversary could have any effect on Halo 5. I think it would be great to play the original multiplayer, even though many complications exist, I'd like to think 343i can pull through for the Community on this one. ~Hoping for the Best
  10. Halo 5 was announced for a Fall release in 2015, I still suspect Halo 2: Anniversary for this fall.
  11. That moment when you realize that you've past The Director in time online ;D

  12. Not only is this good for the Moderators, it'll also help members remember each other in the shoutbox more easily. I especially like the new alphanumerical policy. 10/10 Rule Amendment.

  16. MORE FPS STAR WARS GAMES (and what will hopefully be an amazing trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront) Halo 2: Anniversary Edition
  17. I agree, Dedicated servers are absolutely the way to go with the next Halo. But if we don't have dedicated servers, I'm still going to play, and Halo can still be competitive without dedicated servers. Halo 3, widely considered one of the most competitive multiplayer games ever, -No dedicated servers. When a game doesn't have dedicated servers, it only means that the game now relies on the players' connection to one another. If the two players both have excellent connection, there generally aren't any problems. The only real problem that comes with using players as the host, is that at times, the host will have greater connection and will have a very, very slight advantage over his opponent. That being said, Halo can still be a competitive game without dedicated servers, but I'd like to have them because they are indeed better than player hosts.
  18. I like the idea of headshot capable Automatic weapons, it would provide a small change of pace, and encourage aiming for the head in close call encounters. I think that if a player is going to dual wield weapons, and have twice the power, he should also have twice repercussions. I think that if a player is dual wielding he should no longer be able to throw grenades, melee, weapon scope (helmet scope is still fine), or switch weapons without losing the weapon he's holding. I do think that if a player is going to melee while dual wielding, that the melee happens simultaneously with the dropping of the weapon. I feel like this keeps the game balanced for all the players.
  19. I actually like Armor Abilities. I think they add a new level of strategizing and preparation. In my opinion, if everyone has equal opportunity to the same armor abilities, (meaning, no DLC AA's) then the game is indeed balanced and fair. I agree that the Boltshot, in its current state, is over-powered for loadouts. If its going to remain a loadout weapon it should either be nerfed to have a longer charge time or do only enough damage to lower the victim's shields. I haven't really noticed a problem with weapons despawning too quickly, so I'm not sure what problems you're experiencing with this. I want Halo 5's Team Slayer playlist to be like the following: -Yes, Loadouts -No, Plasma Grenades in loadouts -Yes, AA's -Yes, Sprint -Yes, Going Prone/Dolphin Diving -Yes, UNSC Aircraft -No, Personal Ordnance -Yes, Dynamic Map Features Those are my own opinions, but something I really want Halo 5 to have, is more innovative Armor Abilities. I feel like they're a big part of what Halo is and I want there to be more diversity and uniqueness with each Armor Ability.

  21. Man, eight special editions? That's a bit much for the first installment of a game isn't it? The collectibles do look pretty cool though, especially the figurine and map of Chicago. Nice article P34nut!
  22. Can we get this pinned...somewhere? Absolutely great Sparks! Awesome guide to assassinations, not to mention some very beautiful looking graphics to go along with it! Great work finding all of this and putting it together. 10/10 Will Read Again
