Surveillance

Andrei stopped while the other men kept walking. He just stood quietly in the darkness, waiting for the silence to break. And then.. scuffling. Going up... getting softer. Someone was going to the roof. Andrei ran up to the wall and jumped, pushing off and landing on the beam that lay above the Church. He jumped into the the window to the staircase, and began to follow the scuffling up the stairs. He wasn't going to let this person escape, if he or she had done something they would pay the price. Soon enough he reached the second to top floor, and saw a foot quickly scramble up a ladder. Andrei followed once more up the ladder, his hidden blade sliding out.

Andrei walked with the group of men towards the bedroom, planning to check on the Priestess that was sleeping. It wasn't the first time Andrei had to go on protection missions. He did one in Prague, but it failed. The guards came in sooner than expected, and Andrei had jumped out the window. It wasn't something he wanted to do again. "YA slyshal, kak zhritsa bylo krasivo." one of the men chuckled. "Vy budete ubity yesli bespokloit yeye." another said. "Zatknis, vy oba." Andrei responded angrily. They slowly approached the Priestess' bedroom and finally got up the stairs. Here they opened the door and saw that she was sleeping peacefully. "Ona takaya seksual'naya." the first one said, and Andrei smacked him in the back of the head. (Translation: "I heard the Priestess was very beautiful" "You'll be killed if you harass her" "Shut up both of you" "She's so sexy")

You couldn't call them rich or poor, because under Communism there was supposedly no classes. His dad was a KGB Resident so he controlled his team of Recruiters and Spies. His mother was a factory worker, specifically making things like tanks and planes for the Red Army. Soon enough, Stalin began to do his voodoo. Andrei's father was put out of work and shot for 'Anti-Communist Activities', forcing Andrei to take his place. Andrei was trained vigorously for the KGB, and by the time he was 16 he knew everything through and through on Espionage and Intelligence. However in 1931, a man in a robe greeted him. In a short 10 minutes, the man told Andrei everything about the Templars and Assassins and that he was a worthy Assassin. Andrei agreed, and the Assassin took him in where he trained for 8 years, officially becoming an Assassin in 1939.

I'm pretty sure the UNSC has Thermonuclear Ballistic Missiles, because the UNSC is United Nations Space Command, so the countries of the world would pool their resources/weapons to make the UNSC. At least that's what seems like what would happen.

If Halo is supposed to be futuristic, why would the UNSC make it's military(Special Forces aside) worse then in the 21st century? I don't know why they would.
