Ivan finally arrived at the military productions facility and shot his wraith cannon. The projectile sparked through the sky and then crashed down upon a small area where a few ghosts we being held. He continued firing at various hardware creation areas. They erupted in light and energy, signaling that they were destroyed. "Three-Charlie, we have arrived." The Russian said.

"One more thing, I'm the Recon Specialist, but not an ODST. Kyro can do a bunch of other things that I would suck at. He just happened to save me so we have been doing things together for the past hour. Just wanted to clear that up, no confusion. New ETA: Three minutes. Ivan out until arrival." The Russian stated flatly. He hated it when they mixed things up that should have been easily understood. Ivan banked right and saw a few energy beams flying in the sky in the distance. That obviously meant the production facility was close. He pushed on his booster button and began to speed down the street.
-
"Cake is unhealthy comrade. Vegetables, protein, and dairy is what you need to support that huge body of yours. I need the same to support my bones. Being taller then most people requires a lot." Cavril said to D.J., seeming to have just appeared in the cafeteria. "Come on. Sit down. Eat your breakfast at a normal pace. Shoveling it into your mouth will make the morning run worse. I hope you know that." The Russian slowly ate his food, while still looking at D.J. Today would be quite the day.
-
"Yes sir!" Ivan responded, and sped off on his wraith. He pressed the button and fire the cannon, which took care of a small blockade and the Covenant around it. It was about 1 mile South of their position, so they had to go that way. The Russian made a sharp turn and then talked into his comms. "Three Charlie, this is Corporal Ivan. I'm a Recon Agent. Now that we have that out of the way, Kyro and I are in wraiths. So, if you see wraiths coming in from a direction that isn't from the military production base, that's us. ETA 5 minutes. Ivan out." He turned left and then right once more. The city was razed, so a lot of debris was blocking the roads. Ivan thought he would have to go around, but it seemed that there was always a road.
-
"Well, that was taken care of. Let's go- WATCH OUT!" Ivan yelled. An unusually fast banshee screeched by as it fired a green fuel cannon, which impacted on the highway column. The Russian felt the ground shake outside of his wraith, and soon enough he knew he was falling. He tried to open the hatch as his vehicle plummeted towards the ground. There was nothing he could do. CRZCHH! The wraith hit the ground and shook it. Ivan popped the hatch open, and looked around. The highway was gone, he he would have to go through the Covenant filled streets to get to the base. "Command, me and Kyro might be a little late." Ivan said into his radio.
-
"No problem air boy and Captain. We are out of the depot and are coming back to base from the East on the main highway. If you see two wraiths destroying the Covies, that is us. So far it is crystal clear and we have a straight path. Oh... jinxed it. Damnit!" Ivan replied. Two wraiths, four ghosts, and one revenent blocked their paths. The Russian pressed the same button as before, and that took care of the ghosts. One wraith shot, and it barely missed Ivan. If he hadn't driven back, it would have blown him sky high. He launched another plasma ball, and this time it missed. Once again, Ivan fired, and took care of the revenant. What to do here? I wonder when Kyro will fire, the Russian thought.
-
"Indeed. Let's take the highway. We definitely need our armor intact." Ivan pressed the booster button, and sped along the highway behind Kyro. The city was now almost completely razed, pretty much gone. If the Covenant wanted to glass the planet, they certainly could, but why aren't they now? Instead of causing so much pain and suffering, just get it over with instantly. The Russian shoved the thought out of his head and focused on the highway. Another wraith was positioned in front of them, and Ivan pressed the button to fire. There was a jolt in the cockpit, but the other wraith was hit by the plasma ball and exploded with content. "Look! The sign says 1.6 miles East. That is where we need to go to surprise the Covies." he said. "But first... we have to deal with THAT. And hopefully we get help." A giant metallic four legged monster with huge weaponry slowly marched across the city, allowing it to move freely. Ivan was sure there would be no scarabs, but I guess you have to be adaptable. "Captain, this is Ivan. We have a problem. Look to the East, and see if you see what I'm seeing."
-
"I'm in the other tank, don't worry. I wired my share of the C4, and am ready for detonation. I watched your fight with the elite. Very nice." Ivan said. He pushed forward on the thruster and moved away from the rest of the wraiths. They would be destroyed in a few minutes, so why not move away. "Kyro, move your tank to where I am. Elites are about getting in the others. Hurry." The Russian had his thumb right above the detonate button. "Captain, this is Ivan. I'm okay. Kyro and I found a wraith division and wired all except for two. When you see two coming form the East, that will be us. Ivan out."
-
"I'm in favor of the first option. Information is critical. I'm ready!" Ivan exclaimed and followed Kyro up the ledge. There he could see about 15 wraiths, with no one to drive them. That would be fixed soon. And the drivers would be dead. "See those two?" the Russian pointed at ones in the far right in the back. "The Covies always take ones that are in the front and seem honorable to take. Wire up every single one except for those. A remote detonator will make it so we don't need timers. My armor has an active camouflage mod, so I'll be quick and quiet. See you back here." He silently jumped off the roof and pressed a button on his wrist gauntlet, which made his body disappear. As long as he moved slowly, he wouldn't be spotted and his camo would stay solid.
-
Ivan ran back, mirroring the evil grin. "No, but if we do this, that will make our friends' job so much easier. What do you have in mind?" the Russian asked, excited. He wanted to kick some ass and do some sabotage, and this was a chance. "I mean, we could always destroy every single one except two, and then bring those in from the east and surprise the Covies. Or we can destroy them all."
-
"Well thanks for pushing me out. Anyway, no problem about the leg. I've taken worse. Nice work of those elites. You know what, instead of doing Recon like I should, let's go back and help the Captain. I'm sure he wants it." Ivan said, smiling. He looked around at the building. The roof was literally gone, it didn't exist anymore. When did the Covies get a hold of gasoline? "Let's go." The Russian pulled out his DMR and continued, "This way. The base is North, we can mini-ambush the Covies from the east." then he ran off, hoping Kyro was right behind him.
-
"Yeah, same here. Thanks for saving my ass by the way. I owe you, even if you did crush the strangely friendly elite. Anyway... hold on do you smell gasoline? I wonder why they would be using- we need to move! Follow me, the exit to the air duct is this way!" Ivan yelled. Obviously the Covies would flood the duct with gasoline and then light it, hoping to burn them alive. He crawled steadily faster, and eventually came to an intersection with two pathways. "Which way do we go? Left or right?" the Russian asked, but still calmly.
-
"Alright, now that we are both in here, let's think of the way out. If the front of the building is out of the entrance we just climbed and forward, and the back is following the air-duct, so let's go." Ivan said as he began to crawl down the duct. It was very hot, and the Russian started sweating. Not to mention the helmet and armor was adding to the heat. If only standard issue marine suits had built-in AC. That would be nice. He continued to crawl his way down the metal tunnel. It seemed like it would never end, and they would just be crawling forever. Hopefully that wouldn't happen.

"I love military history. Very interesting. Anyway, good night. That run was tiring." Cavril said before he laid down on his bunk. His mind drifted to thoughts about what war would be like, fighting against a strong enemy. And so numerous as well. Hopefully the training would be enough to fend off against the Covies, or else they would all die. The Russian was very tall, 6' 4'', and the bunk wasn't adjusted for his size. His legs hung out over the edge of the bed, and that bothered him. Long night, Cavril thought.
-
"Thanks for the SMG. And uh, I would think that is because if I escaped they would not get the plans that I knew which HIGHCOM personally told me. So I guess if I somehow managed to kill the squashed elite that is over there, there would be no way of me escaping. At least that is what I think. Hey... look!" Ivan pointed towards a ventilation shaft the was strangely wide. He picked up a rock and chucked it at the shaft cover, which fell and clanged on the ground. "We can climb through here and out the back. Then we part I ways and I continue doing Recon, and carefully at that. Let's go." The Russian looked upwards and grabbed the a large square tunnel and pulled himself in. "Waiting for you Kyro."

"My great great great Uncle was the author. I was the first one to read it, ever. Nobody knew about the book until after I read it, and it took me a while. I had to read slowly because for some reason I would skip parts of the book. Getting things shipped from Earth is very expensive indeed. My name is Cavril. I had no fascination for video games. Not at all. In fact, they made the games without Dmitri's consent, so it was illegal. He made sure the devs and the people who owned were sued, and they were." Cavril replied. "I love literature, it was entertainment."

"No. Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. It is set in the Moscow Metro where the last survivors hide after a global nuclear holocaust. It was published in 2005 in Russia and on March 28, 2010 in the U.S.A. The protagonist of the novel is a 20-year old man named Artyom who was born before the nuclear holocaust that occurred in 2013. When he was a baby he was saved from a horde of carnivorous rats by Sukhoi, a military officer. The rats killed Artyom's mother and many of the survivors with her. He has since been raised by Sukhoi, his adoptive father, who is one of the authorities of VDNKh, one of the many shelter stations in the Russian metro. He grew up and became one of the security guards in the VDNKh." Cavril told Kyro. "The author is Russian, like me." He sat down on his bunk, and continued to look at the two. Cavril wondered what would be next in training.

Ivan woke up in a strange, dark room. There was a Sangheili sitting in the corner, and looked bored. The Russian thought some coversation would brighten up the Elite's day. Of course, there is always the chance that it would go berserk and beat Ivan. "Hey! Alligator? You bored as hell?" Ivan asked. The Elite grunted and looked over to the prisoner. "Yes. I hate working here." "Why is that?" "All I do is guard the prisoners." "What is your rank?" "Spec Ops. I'm supposed to be out there, doing stuff in the field. But the Shipmaster told me to stay here." "That sucks. I'm a Recon Agent. I get some action, but most of the time it is just secrecy and observation." "That's good, I guess." "Wait! What if you are just going to tell your dinosaur buddies?" "Look at my face. Do you really think I would tell them?" "...No." "Good. I'm sorry about what Vual did to you." "Is he the idiot that shot me with a spike, stomped on my face, and dragged me here?" "Yes." Ivan sat in silence for the next few hours. Even though this Elite wanted to talk, he probably still hated him.
-
"Well, sir, since you never answered my question, I'm just going to keep inv- AGH!" Ivan was cut off by the sharp pain in his back, but it wasn't an energy sword. More like a paralyzing spike. He fell to the ground, and looked up. A Sangheili Major loomed over him and laughed. Well, great. I can't move, and this thing is going to do something, Ivan thought. Then the elite stomped on Ivan's face, and he blacked out.
-
"Captain Jacob! Good to hear from you," Ivan turned his focus away from Scott's plane,"Well, I took down the energy shield and Airman Scott of Eagle 2-4 thinned them out, but there are still a LOT more. Even though I can only see 1/2 of the forces that were originally there before the bomb, we should know by now that there are reserve forces bound to be coming. But for the forces we have to deal with now, I'd say you have 3 minutes before the Covenant forgets about using waves and converges on you from all directions. What are my further orders, sir?" Ivan responded and then asked. Hopefully he could help, because if they loose the Cobra then that would be a problem. The Russian looked around at the buildings, and sighed. So much pointless death.
-
Ivan was tossed through one wall of the building and ended up on the other side. This time the rubble was heavy and he struggled to get out. When he was finally out, about 1/2 of the forces were gone, and Ivan smiled. His radio chirped and he responded. "Well, I was chucked into a building and out the other way but I'm fine. Great job. 1/2 of them are devastated. Thanks for the assistan- Scott watch out! EJECT!" Ivan watched helplessly as the familiar plasma ball that was fired from wraiths rocketed at Scott really fast. Now unless a miracle happened and Scott managed to dodge it, that ball of plasma would strike Scott's plane and send him crashing.

(Also orange, you have 2 strikes. One more and you can't post at all in this RP. The first strike was posting when you weren't accepted, and the second was controlling BaconShelf's character. I don't want to see you earn another strike)) "Scott, I'll help you. But remember, I'm a Recon Agent. This isn't my thing. One flaw in the energy shield, as that only organic matter, besides Covenant vehicles, can enter the shield. The generator is in the middle, and I have to get into it. Of course, I'll find a way. Keep me posted on the progress of air superiority, and if you are good at remembering numbers tell me how many you have destroyed every 5 minutes. Ivan out." Ivan said as he stood up and hit behind a pillar. The brutes were huge up close, and the Elites seemed even taller. However this didn't bother him, and he activated his active camouflage armor upgrade. He watched as his body disappeared, and then slowly moved into the shield. He was amongst Covenant forces, and started sweating but didn't panic. There was a cylinder shaped object with energy pulsing out of it and then forming the shield. It was probably the generator, so Ivan walked up to it and chucked a plasma grenade on it. Then he silently jumped out of the shield, the Covenant unaware of his once being there. The grenade exploded and the shield went down. Covenant started going crazy and firing orders at each other. "This is Ivan, shield's down. Fire away." Ivan said happily to Scott.

Ivan felt his radio twitch. It was hopefully air support. He could hear what they were saying. After dusting off the rubble, the Russian stood up and talked into his radio. Some of these people really had no respect for names. And the military was especially one of them. "You idiot, it is Barish-knee-kov for the pronunciation. Get it right next time. Anyway, there are about 200 infantry max, 15 wraiths, 30 ghosts, and 39 banshees. Also, all the ground vehicles and forces have an energy shield around them. By the looks of my HUD, it is plasma. So we need a SHIVA class nuke to take it down, however I doubt to standard pilots carry those. If you can, destroy their control of the skies. We don't need the blitzkrieg tactic being used by the Covenant." Ivan said. Then there was that same colored beam descending down from the sky, and he spoke up. "Last time that beam hit I was blown against a wall and some buildings flew a few kilometres away. You may want to watch-" before he could finish, Ivan was chucked like a baseball into the same wall as before, and hit the ground again. "Well, if you aren't knocked out of the sky, destroy the banshees." Ivan coughed into his microphone.
