    Hi

Welcome to the forums! Glad to have you aboard!
  3. When you come to a crossroads you have to do what has to be done and I applaud you for doing so. Good luck in your endeavors and come back to the staff soon!
  4. Hahaha what a waste of time by that ghost driver. I bet he was furious when he finally got killed.
  5. Very cool bro. That's truly something memorable that you'll be able to talk about for a long long time.
  6. Me personally, being a native of Kentucky, I would love to see MLG come to the middle/southeastern part of the US again. Not sure how accurate it truly was, but the Halo 3 player locations map always showed a lot of people playing in the southeastern US (Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, etc.). There are several Halo pros from the state of Kentucky including Strongside and Elamite Warrior. Places like Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, etc. are fairly centrally located for everybody's convenience and surely they would have a great turnout. I really got into Halo less than a month or two after MLG Nashville (2005 I think?) so I didn't get a chance to go. It seems that Columbus, Chicago, etc. is the closest MLG has came to the southeast. Surely MLG could do something to accommodate the mass amount of gamers in this region. Your thoughts?
  7. Although it will always be a problem, thanks to Halo Reach there are now a lot more people who couldn't care less about anything but themselves and their idiotic humor. Accordingly, I hope 343 will make some changes to the ranking system before it goes visible, that way players will truly be matched based on skill and not matched with these outlier players who do these kinds of things.
  8. It wasn't Squad Battle but I assure you that they did have the gametype you speak of. As a matter of a fact, after doing some research, Halo 3 did have that playlist and it was in fact called Team Elimination.
  9. Thank goodness. That is the only playlist that I truly think is missing, along with the separation of competitive playlists. An official MLG playlist would be great as well, after MLG sorts out their own settings.
  10. The ranking system is in place but yet bad players still manage to get on my team and cause a loss, usually possessing a -10 or similar KD ratio. 343 needs to redo things so those players get matched with others of similar skill. I would also like to see 343 do something about matching players with players who have guests, which also affects game outcomes at times.

    Grifball

Not yet. I expect grifball to be released in a playlist update within the next month or so but don't quote me on that.
  12. I kind of like the radar just because I know I want have some guy who spawned behind me come up and assassinate me. Plus, if I know a guy is coming there's a good chance we will get in some sort of sniping battle, which I love.
  13. I would guess not. I'm sure 343 wants to celebrate Halo 4 before they even think about going back to work.
  14. Good find on that. I've been curious as to how long it would take for the specialization ranks (SR50-130).
  15. Yes! I missed this playlist when it was taken out of Halo 3. I think it was called Squad Battle? I loved it. Maybe 343 could bring it back.
  16. It seems that in Spartan Ops there is a significant delay in jumping, grenade throwing, and gun firing on the screen, even though my movement is fine and without any delay. I'm not sure what the problem may be but I hope 343 can fix this also.
  17. I played the other night without lag thank goodness. Now there seems to be a problem in Spartan Ops. I move around fine but gun firing and jumping endures a significant delay.
  18. It's supposed to be for "competitive playlists," according to 343. I don't think anybody is sure what that really is now but I would expect the usual playlists such as SWAT, Team Slayer Pro, Team Snipers, and possibly Infinity Slayer to receive competitive ranks.
  19. The DMR vs BR comment seems like more of a problem with weapon balance than the playlist itself. I use DMR for medium-long to long range and BR for medium range most of the time. As far as spraying and praying with the BR, you pretty much either get the headshot or not. The bullet spread isn't very far on the BR and I would say it's pretty hard to get a lucky headshot based off of that bullet spread. That's the way it was in Halo 2 and 3 as well when basically the only primary weapon was the BR.
  20. Extreme connectivity lag has been the issue for me the last few days (not frame rate lag, as some have trouble with). My xbox and computer work just fine and the xbox works with all other games. Lag spikes occur 6-7 times a game and lag is consistent throughout nearly every game. I hope 343 can fix the connectivity problem in matchmaking.
  21. Hahaha good one sir. Well done.
  22. I haven't personally experienced the betrayal boot yet but it sounds like things are a little too delicate. There must be another way for 343 to go about this.
  23. SWAT is pretty well done for Halo 4. Thumbs up to 343.
  24. 343 will be implementing the competitive skill rank system in early 2013. P.S. I love the picture of all the Halo 2 symbols. Always brings back a lot of memories.
  25. If Halo would have continued on Halo Reach's path it would have never been successful. Halo 4 has well-done, balanced matchmaking gameplay and that is exactly what Halo needed.
