  1. There will be a ranking system though, just not visible in game
  2. Big team objective is hiding in the dark corners of Bungie's computers, occasionally making sounds but noone seems to listen...
  3. Day 3 : pattern is <> <> <> <> <> <> <>
  4. Day 6 : the patttern is : <> <> <> <> <> The picture that follows has the bottom and top of the picture inversely symmetrical. there is also this statement when you click on the link "Our sky is filled with unseen signals. Radio-frequency emissions pulse and flit and dance all around us. Yet even a singing patch of sky can be observed, and transformed into a range of frequencies. Can you hear it? No, not yet. It has not yet arrived. But together we can receive its call. Imagine combining the observations of thousands across the globe on an object meandering through the heavens. The resulting array would be quite large. Quite powerful. This is your task. Alone it will not be enough. Coordination and timing is needed. Observations must be made simultaneously. Your window will be small. Five minutes at most. But windows may be reopened. And the distance between observer pairs will be key. There will always be limitations in clarity, so the results must be archived for study. Highly technical observers may be required. Detailed frequency analysis is recommended. Everything that belongs to us will be ours, but only if we create the capacity to receive it."
  5. LOL So my favorite Pro back in the day was Gandhi. I loved how he talked sooooooo much trash and backed it up. It was always so entertaining and he definitely got into peoples heads. A lot of the trash talking done today is based off of what he used to say. I also liked Legit and T2 for similar reasons.
  6. This was in the latest Halo waypoint bulletin. This sounds exciting and I might need to check these out! Halo 4 Campaign Easter Egg Hints Our Campaign team slaved away on that particular part of the Halo 4 experience for many-a-months. Over one million of you completed the Halo 4 Campaign in the first five days after launch, and thousands of you continue along that path – sometimes numerous times over. Here to shed a little light on that which has not yet been found is Lead Campaign Designer Jesse Snyder. The Halo 4 Campaign still contains many secrets left uncovered. Hidden in various missions by our venerable mission designers, easter eggs have been lying dormant, ticking clocks simply waiting for a pair of eyes outside of 343 to see them. Eyes that could be yours. Did you find any secrets as you played through Campaign? Initially, fans found many things that they thought were easter eggs. Discovering that, in fact, many were still hidden, we were relieved. Avid secret hunters claimed that some of our treasures would be found within days of launching the game. “Certainly, they’ll find them any day now,” we thought. Time would prove both us the aforementioned secret hunters wrong. Act quickly and maybe you’ll find an easter egg on your own, but that time is about to pass. We’ve decided to give you some hints to help you uncover our secrets, without telling you where they are outright. Additionally, we’ll be giving you more hints in future Bulletins. Knowing how well we’ve hidden our easter eggs, it only seems fair. Even though this may sound cliché, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again.” Never stop searching. Some secrets might be right in front of you. What is it? An appreciation of architecture, and a return to nature. Where is it? It may be beautiful, but returning here is deadly. What is it? A deadly ambush waits for you If you have the will to power through Kill them all, your reward is great Weapons to turn the tide of fate Where is it? After the enemies rain from the sky Before the doorway through which you fly You must return to the rock on which the ledge is by Patience is a virtue, but your death is nigh What is it? A congenial sight. Where is it? Lost in the belly of the beast. If you find the easter eggs in Jesse’s write-up or in the game, post in the Bulletin discussion thread. Those of you who do so just may get a teeny tiny surprise. And with that, I do believe it’s time to call this sucker done. Hope to see you same time, same place next week. Until then… <3, bs angel
  7. If hes not alive, what is halo 5 going to be about?
  8. I think you mean Halo 2 : Remastered. Halo 2 Anniversary would be the same thing as Halo CE Anniversary, which is just the campaign with Halo Reach multiplayer. This new Halo 2 needs the original Halo 2 multiplayer.
  9. The community as a whole has been complainaing about the new changes to the game and 343i has been responding by making gametypes and playlists that they have been asking for. In other words, they don't like what was added in Halo 4 and want the old halo back. More importantly, there aren't flamers on this forum. Go to halo waypoint if you want to be called anything you described in your 2nd to last paragraph. This is a true halo community; one that agrees to disagree and provides insight when trying to prove a point.
  10. When every other word is misspelled, I can't tell if someone is being serious or just that bad at spelling and I am talking about Caboose. No offense man but read what you are writing. If your English is poor than I can understand.
  11. That's just making it worse, fighting fire with fire is not the answer
  12. Clearly this is quite off topic, but I need to know why so many people just love to hate? The most current example of this is Ray Lewis.(NFL player for the Baltimore Ravens) Right when the Ravens make it to the super Bowl, everyone brings up his past, and how he possibly murdered 2 men and then they insult how religious he is. And then this Deer antler spray story comes out, with people accusing him of using PED's. Oh and then they talk about how he has 6 kids with 4 wives. People dig into this man's whole life, but have you even had a conversation with him? No. Everything you know about him is from an outside perspective. Sure he probably was hanging out with the wrong people on that night in 2000, but look at the man he is now. The ultimate leader who just inspired his team to win a super bowl. He has come a long way from what he was in 2000. What is the point of trying to bring someone down? Is it so you feel better about yourself? I just dont get it.
  13. This game did take a lot from COD, but not all of it is bad. Just because its from COD doesn't mean its bad, if you actually analyze each of the things you described you can find some good things out of it. For the most part I think this game is bad but I am just trying to be objective.
  14. I've noticed that many people do complain about that, I think if you insult them in any way they will ban you. If you havent figured it out yet, this forum is 10x better!!
  15. Honestly I wouldnt know what people complained about on forums for Halo 2 and 3. There was really nothing worth me getting worked up over I loved the games. I joined this forum to voice my opinion on how we can learn from the mistakes of Reach to restore Halo 4 to its former glory. Clearly that didnt work
  16. Thanks man, but don't give me all the credit. I read a lot of peoples opinions on here and on halo waypoint and take what I like. Like Frank said, Halo 5 will be much better, I believe him but its just stupid
  17. Everyone I need to get this off my chest. For those of you who were on this forum and other forums months before the release of Halo 4, we would constantly argue about how necessary a ranking system was needed in Halo 4 because of the failures of Halo Reach. Frank O 'Connor eventually responded on Halo Waypoint, saying something along the lines of "a ranking system promotes cheaters, boosters, and derankers." I don't know about everyone here, but in Halo 3 I think I might have been cheated once, played with a deranker twice, and boosting has no effect on me. Halo 2 had much more of these problems, especially cheating, but that was fixed in Halo 3. He seemed to be making excuses to not have a ranking system, even though there was such a strong case to have one. Then they go about showing off every single aspect possible about the game except the ranking system, until TWO DAYS BEFORE THE GAME IS RELEASED, to tell us that there is a ranking system coming in EARLY 2013. Here we are in February, and we have 2 more months at least before this ranking system is released. Do you want to know the reason I even joined this forum? To voice my opinion on how I think Halo 4 will be successful. Do you want to know why I wasn't on forums before that? Because those games didn't need fixing, they were great games and I had nothing to complain about (I didn't play Reach a lot, but other than not having a ranking system I actually enjoyed Reach). Yet again, here I am, voicing my opinion about changing things in a game, THAT WAS RELEASED 3 MONTHS AGO. That isn't fair to anyone. Im not sure what more the community needs to tell 343i. The numbers are clear that a ranking system adds YEARS of life to a game. The fact that a ton of people played Halo 2 till it was shut down is astonishing. More people would have been playing if they hadn't reset the ranks. Nothing kept me hooked like trying to get a 50. I'd come home from school and tell myself "Lets see if I can level up in Snipers today." I'd play some intense matches with my friends against worthy adversaries, and go to WAR against them, with our ranks on the line. Team Snipers in Halo 2 was unbelieveably competitive and nothing even close to that exists in Halo Reach or 4. However, probably the most satisfying moment in Halo for me was getting a 50 in BTB in Halo 3. This was incredibly difficult, however it is that drive to be the best that made it so much fun. What's funny about all this is theres no BTB objective in Halo 4 and Team Snipers is currently out of the rotation. Unbelieveable. And I'm not even going to go into the whole MLG situation. Personally, I don't think the ranking system is going to bring too many people back to this game. I will come back and give it a try, but I think many people won't give 343i a second chance. I'll end this on a brighter note, we are getting a ranking system and many of the changes the community has asked for. This game has a chance to make a big turnaround and I hope it does. I just wish that the Halo fans of today can experience a taste of Halo 1-3's everlasting awesomeness that many of the veterans of this forum have felt. I wish that 343i succeeds in Halo 5 and 6 and that we can forget about what has happened in this game. Most of all, I want to WANT TO PLAY HALO again and not feel obligated to. Disclaimer : Understand this is coming from a retired competitive MLG Halo player. I believe the competitive community is the core of Halo and by not catering to us, the game has decreased in popularity. Competitive players continue to play, while a large number of casuals will pop in and out, not really caring about the details. I have played tons of MLG, competiting in tournaments and playing with and against Pros. While I probably will not start playing in whatever gaming league starts up and going to tournaments, I will try and get 50s in the playlists and see where that takes me.
  18. From halo 2-3 (4-7 years ago) I was a seriously competitive gamer and played a lot of MLG. I've pretty much retired from that and just play with my friends now, although we definitely play at a high level. I just don't have the time anymore needed to try and get better at games, I sort of just play whenever I get a chance and make the best of it. When this ranking system comes out, I'll definitely try to get a 50 in a few playlists.
  19. Kultitude =P I dont think I will buy it unless it has great reviews for the games that get released and I see visual evidence of it. I may move to PS4
