Hosting events every weekend has its ups and its downs. You guys should already be feeling it by now that playing the same games and gametypes every weekend of every month is boring and that's why we've been doing Halo Wars a lot more recently and stuff. So I wanna give you guys a chance to vote for our Special Event for the first weekend of August. So please, cast your vote and whatever wins... Wins! Voting will close when the voting closes. Bungie didn't sabotage Halo. At least not purposely. Everyone knows that the Halo 3 days were the days that MLG was just tops and when Reach was totally different gameplay with Armor Abilities and such, the Halo Community felt its heart break. What Bungie wanted to do with Reach, however, was make the game they always wanted Halo to be before their contract with Microsoft was up. Reach was what Bungie intended Halo to be like unfortunately. So, to relate this to the topic at hand now I think that Destiny will play like a Halo game. It'll play like a sandbox version of Halo except instead of Armor Abilities you'll have magic. That's not to say that this won't be a great game. This game, to me, is far better than anything we've seen so far at E3. And this is Bungie we're talking about so you know they know how to make an incredible story. There's too much potential in this game for it not to be fulfilled. Bungie's been working really hard and is still doing so to make this game out of your mind fantastic and the size of the sandbox is just... Wow. So that's pretty much every thought I have on Destiny right now...

If you don't know about Halo: Spartan Assault by now, this should give you some insight as to what the game will be like. It's a game exclusive to Microsoft Windows 8 Phone and Windows 8 software (Surface, PCs, etc.). Alien Forest This is clearly some kind of alien forest like title of the picture states. But you can see here a Spartan using a Needler to kill a Grunt. Notice the view you're looking at the game from. Banshee Strike This is a great image to me. I love how they brought Wolverines back into Halo since Halo Wars. Also notice that there are subtitles going on in the game and health bars for vehicles. Base Siege This is a great scene because you have one Spartan bringing up the rear while his partner is crouching around the boxes with a Rocket Launcher. Notice that there is a crouch feature in this game. Bridge Blockade You're trying to fight your way across a bridge in this one and you and your partner have taken a Shade Turret to fight their Shade Turret and Wraith. Armory Ok it turns out that there are tons more screenshots than I thought so I'm going to skip around to some more important shots. Here's the armory, as you can see. Loadouts are featured in this game as well. Keyboard & Mouse Controls Here are the keyboard and mouse controls for a PC using Windows 8 software. Tablet Touch Controls Here are the touch controls for a Microsoft Surface or Windows 8 Phone like the Nokia Lumia. Heavy Armor Combat Tank beats Ghost. Tank beats Hunter. Tank beats everything! I hope this gives you a better idea of the game before rushing and getting it. Here are some cool concept art images from 343's newest game, Halo: Spartan Assault. It kinda looks like it would be awesome if this were all in Halo Wars. Base Overrun A standoff against the Covenant from a base with a major height advantage. Dark Perch A bridge scene that could be an excavation site. Covenant seem to have taken over this area. Desert Trek An awesome shot of a Scorpion rolling through a desert area similar to the one in Halo 4's Campaign minus the dark lava in some of the rocks. Draetheus V A very cool image of where this game could be taking place, I know nothing about it. Frozen Tornado A pretty great image of an arctic tundra where one UNSC unit is passing through. Use the Marines as scale. Yeah. Light Perch Here's the cool bridge scene we saw earlier before it was overrun by the Covenant. Schism These rocks are falling into something but I have no idea what. It look pretty cool though. All in all, if I had a Windows 8 Phone already or a Microsoft Surface I'd probably get this game.
